"Broken tvs, unhelpful staff, confusing communication preventing smooth travel experience."

Plussat: "the crew took very good care of us"

"Departed 25 min late with no explanation. Arrival time was very off due to late departure but would have appreciated a better estimate."

"I liked the timeliness of the departure and arrival, and the crew were good. The turbulence was rough, though."

"I liked that once up, things ran more smoothly and we still landed on time despite a 45+ minute delay leaving the gate. The boarding process was another story. With the demand for proof of a negative COVID test prior to boarding by the US, Air France had just 2 staff members checking these tests results, collecting a paper affidavit of sorts also required by the US, and checking boarding passes and passports for an entire Boeing 777 full of passengers. There were other staff around This seemed preposterous. Then, when I finally boarded, the luggage was still be loaded onto the plane at 1:50pm for a flight schedule to leave at 1:15pm."

"The whole experience was great. Boarding is so orderly. The staff is super helpful. The wifi works great the whole flight so I was able to text for the entire flight. The best part was that it was orderly even when we were exiting the flight."

"Seats were narrow and uncomfortable ( business ) and there was only one toilet for both business and premier…. The one up front was blocked as it was solely for the crew …. One always had to wait in line with 3/4 people in front of you ..at minimum….. while you waited , the crew made it clear that you were in their way …. Fair enough as we had to stand partially in the galley…"

Miinukset: "My flight was delayed, which would have caused me to miss my connecting flight. The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Miinukset: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

Miinukset: "The flight was scheduled for 7:45 pm. Due to the storm the day before, my flight out of Miami was cancelled and I was told that the flight out of W Palm Beach was my only option. I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Plussat: "Very nice flight and attentive staff. Enjoyed the view of NYC as we flew up the East River, then looped over Nassau County to approach LGA."
Miinukset: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Plussat: "Flight was delayed by 2+ hours, Delta (running the flight for westjet) sent 1 email about the flight being delayed to 4:45 which was inconsistent with the gate signage and agent who said 3:45, flight ended up leaving at 5:45PM. No reasons were provided beyond the incoming flight from LGA hadn't come in. Why hadn't it come in? When could we expect to leave YUL? No answers."

Plussat: "Please call me. Why did you double charge me? I took my parents for a trip and you charge me 2 twice?? Call me 416 888 4387"

Plussat: "Airline stewards were very friendly and pleasant."
Miinukset: "We booked with Delta, but were put on Air France. Even though we had our boarding passes in hand we had to wait in long, slow line for baggage tags because they would not print from kiosk. There was minimal Air France staff on duty serving thousands of passengers during busy season (July). While the lines grew larger, the staff was reduced from 4 to 2. Another long, slow line for customs, another long slow line for security=Charles De Gaulle airport was awful. We arrived at the airport 4 hours before our departure time and got to our boarding gate with no time to spare."

Plussat: "Delta does a good job of seating and meals and flight offerings"
Miinukset: "The crew were not customer oriented and seemed like they really weren't interested in their clients. Also we were bounced around between Air France and Delta at the ir port and when trying to check in online even though we booked through Delta."

Plussat: "Pleasant crew, newer plane, and very efficient travel time"
Miinukset: "The boarding process was extremely slow, "Comfort Plus" seats in the smaller regional jet were definitely not worth the upgrade."

Miinukset: "I don't understand why there's always a lack of space when the flight is full. Were the aircrafts not designed to accommodate a full flight's worth of luggage? anf then when I went to go to my seat, the air stewardess told me to progress down the aisle so someone that they knew could pass through, causing a delay in me getting to my seat as well as losing my overhead luggage space as someone else passing utilized it instead. Now I am in my seat with both my carry on and personal item stowed below. So was I comfortable ? No. Was I upset and annoyed, on top of being tired? Yes. They need a better system."

Plussat: "The flight itself was fairly quick."
Miinukset: "We were late by 4hours and they kept changing the times. I wish they would have set it to one time like the other airlines. The seating is uncomfortable and there was no entertainment."

Miinukset: "Three bags were left at Paris and were delivered to me only after more than 48 hrs - lock of one bag was missing and other bag was in damaged condition"

Plussat: "Your flight attendants were very personable and made a very long flight a comfortable as it could possibly be. They were pleasant and always available. Delta is always my go to airline ... especially on long trips as I upgraded to economy comfort and had a few more inches of leg room!"

Plussat: "Frequent food offerings throughout the flight."
Miinukset: "Boarding the plane was not easy. We had to show our passports to a man who quizzed us on where we were coming from, where we were going, and asking questions about our luggage. After that we had to go through another security point and scan our boarding passes, but most people could not get through with our boarding passes, so we had to get in another line to show our passes to our agent. It was very stressful since we were running late since the border control line was so long! While it was stressful, I am glad that they were careful regarding the security,"

Plussat: "The Airbus A330 business class seating was more spacious and comfortable than the Boeing 767 I flew to Paris from ATL."

This would eliminate all of the passengers to rush on line in order to get to their seat and to have space in the over head compartment."

Plussat: "My flight got cancelled many times due to the weather condition. I’m happy that west Jet keep sending me the updated flight. And when I have to call and speak to someone, my calls got answered within 15 minutes. I’m happy with the service over all. Thank you."

Miinukset: "snow caused my flight to be cancelled instead of the direct flight to nyc i flew via Atlanta. due to the timings of the flight - landing at 2.30 am, leaving at 7.30 am - i had no option but to sleep on the airport floor i will try to avoid fliying with westjet in future - staying loyal to air canada - to avoid the risk of such a terrible flight diversion"

Miinukset: "A/C didn’t seem to work fully - it was stuffy on the plane. Very cramped seating."

Plussat: "It was an hour and 10 minute flight, so there wasn't really much space for error. They still gave me snacks and drinks which I didn't expect considering how short of a trip it was."

Miinukset: "Flight attendant was mean and nasty. She asked me to take my headphones off, to which I complied but shook my head as I took them off. The flight attendant then started shouting at me as to why I shook my head and she got loud and confrontational for no apparent reason. I just looked at her in disbelief without saying a word. I don’t think I will travel WestJet ever again."

Miinukset: "I was traveling with a piece of artwork and had to check it in oversized luggage, but as I was going through customs, I wasn't allowed in, because the Westjet team couldn't find it. I was escorted to their waiting zone, where I spent 1.5 hours waiting in limbo trying to figure out what I could do. Thank goodness the flight was delayed 80 minutes, because I was finally able to make the flight with 2 minutes to spare after running to the gates. The flight time, 65 minutes. I find it hard to believe the flight got delayed an entire flight. To couple that, when the plane landed in LGA (where I am as I write this), we're stranded on the runway because we don't have clearance to pull into our taxi area."

Miinukset: "Crazy delays into La Guardia from Toronto, worst flight experience of my life!!!"

Miinukset: "I had to get searched by crew twice even with the delayed flight it was random even going through all the proper procedures of checking in with my carry on luggage and etc. It was not organized and I got the run around and I just felt like not a valued customer. When boarding the flight I got passed over with beverage and snack. My neighbors next to me looked at me with concern and I just ignored it and didn't want to ask because I was already bothered by my whole experience coming back to New York."

Plussat: "As always with Westjet the crew was great, I got upgraded to Plus seating which was a nice surprise."
Miinukset: "I did experience a technical glitch which didn't let me check in online or with the kiosk due to the system thinking I still owed a flight-change fee from months before. But the woman at the check-in desk fixed things up and upgraded my seat."

Miinukset: "I may be wrong but these days, the staff curtsy and overall well coming approach is lacking! Just a smile and a few cheerful words can transform passengers’ mood greatly!! This becomes particularly important when one is traveling for > 9 hours back to back flights!! One can extra charge for it!!"

Miinukset: "The conditions were very cramped. The entertainment system was quite old and had very little selection. My entertainment system actually stopped working all together. I called for assistance from my seat a couple of times, but nobody came."

Plussat: "Crew was really good, polite, efficient. The aircraft was relatively new and clean (rare for an airline to provide a new craft on an Africa segment). Food was good, seats comfortable. Will definitely make them my airline of choice to the extent that I can cost wise."

Miinukset: "The gate changed 3 times and the terminal was very crowded. The staff seemed disinterested and distracted. The quality of the food has dropped dramatically."

Miinukset: "After running due to a 1 hr 10 min change over between flights boarding didn't prioritise anyone but I got on fine. Only to be told at the departure time that there was a problem with the baggage hold and we were delayed. In total 50 minutes late leaving. Breakfast a simple brioche with nothing to add to it."

Plussat: "Very helpful cabin crew and did well to communicate in English to me. Flight was on time and landed ahead of schedule"
Miinukset: "Entertainment system had to be rebooted as it did not work Small screen handset was not working for the entire flight food selection was not as big as KLM or China Eastern Bathroom on board was smaller than KLM or China Eastern which meant changing into more comfortable clothing for the night flight"

Miinukset: "We were not advised of a flight number change or checking in location change. This could have resulted in us missing our flight."

Miinukset: "The company simply lets passengers board a fulled booked flight with far too much luggage. Result, take off 20 minutes late because there was not enough room for luggage in the overhead compartments. I was flying with just a small backpack that went under the seat"

Miinukset: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Plussat: "The food was pretty good and the staff were friendly. During our transfer in Paris, my mum had a medical emergency and had to go to the medical centre. As such wr couldnt go to our final destination in Morocco and had to get our luggage off the plane. The staff at the AF counter were very helpful in that aspect. And when one of the luggages was completely damaged, it was replaced it with a brand new one which was fantastic. On the way back, we had some issues with the ticket because we didnt go to Morocco as planned which resulted in some trouble checking in. But the staff at the counter were quite helpful."

Miinukset: "I tried to check-in my husband and I online but i was unsuccessful and the only option besides us citizen was visa. My husband does not have a visa he has he’s resident card but there was no option for me to select besides visa. once i arrived i was told I would have to be on standby since I did not check in ... I told the air flight assistant I was unable to do so because when I would input my husbands information who is currently a resident there was no option.. she said some airlines don’t let you check in online because they have restricted online procedures... I paid for my ticket which means I paid for my seat... I always travel with Aeroméxico for the reason as I love the customer care We receive and never have issues and I was pretty confused as to why I encountered this situation... I would really appreciate that Aeroméxicos online process works for both citizens and residents to make it easier on everyone.. but i also want to thank the staff because even though I was given bad news and awaiting to see if I would fly back on time as a stand by, they were able to get me back to my home without me missing work...I can’t enforce enough to please look into into you’re online check in to make it fair for all boarders to check in ... thank you"

Miinukset: "This flight was the result of an attempt to rebook a flight after your poor information and integration with travel distributors and insures caused weeks of phone calls and frustration. Then when I finally absorbed the cost of a change that was supposed to be covered - the new flight you booked me on kept changing itineraries and flight times (the reason it was not covered is that Aeromexico didn't convey to me or anyone what boarding classes and conditions were refundable and your reps were constantly confused and changed the story - each time finding a new hurdle). I will never book with Aeromexico again."

Plussat: "The sandwich was okay. I liked the individual video screens, good entertainment options. I like that my checked bag was free."
Miinukset: "Some of the flight attendants were rude. I was seated in an emergency exit isle, and I was told that I couldn’t have my handbag under the seat in front of me. This is the first time I’ve heard of a airline with this policy. My bag was put in the overhead bin and I couldn’t access my tablet or headphones or medicine during the flight. Also, the chair (maybe because it was the exit row) would not recline. This was pretty terrible for a red eye flight. I asked the flight attendant if I could switch seats, (well before take off) I didn’t mind if it was a middle seat, just somewhere I could have my bag with me... she rudely remarked that the plane was late and I needed to sit back down. Terrible service, it was a simple request. I’m sure someone with long legs would have been happy to switch with me. I also don’t like that my carry on bags had a weight limit."

I tried to wrap them as tight as possible. I am aware of the risks of carrying fragile things but I can't stop thinking that the label might had helped avoiding things getting break. Flight Attendance were not very friendly. They were not rude but defiantly not friendly"

Miinukset: "Plane noise was very loud and cabin temperature was so warm I was sweating and my wife ended up feeling naseaus towards the end of a 5.5 hour flight. Also, not a big fan of advertising being played over the TV and cabin speaker system."

The guy didn't tell that we had to pick our luggage in Mexico City and put it to the connecting flight."

Our original Vancouver flight was also delayed for 3 hours, they could put us in another airline but simply did no d anything even we asked for that. At the end, they did not know hate in México, airport screens si done thing, airiline information was another thing."

Plussat: "we were shocked by how great the flight accommodations were, from the inflight entertainment to the food/beverage service to the flight attendants."

Miinukset: "No vegetarian food even though I requested it! They switched my seat from an aisle to a middle. Not ok! Rude agent at the gate who told me she couldn't help me get a vegetarian dish."

BJX airport was easy to get off, get my bags, and get out of the airport quickly. Seats were comfy and as a nighttime flight, I was able to sleep easily from takeoff to landing."
Miinukset: "Departure gates for regional flights at the end of the terminal at MEX are a little confusing to know where to be to wait for your flight and where to board."

Plussat: "The crew was efficient and nice"
Miinukset: "The food was awful. Mostly - the airport in Mexico City was terrible. It was confusing in every way and there was poor information from AeroMexico regarding gates. At the Paris airport there was no communication at all for a long period of time. They need to step up their game."

Miinukset: "Gate agent refused to let me carry on a suitcase that I have carried on dozens of flights (this specific suitcase) and I understand overhead limitations (I have more than 4 million air miles just between United and American Airlines). This was an A320 and I was about #10 getting on the flight. Space was not an issue. This added an hour to a 25 hour day to wait for luggage at LAX. And BA gives the agents an edge in that their test fixture has rounded corners to that a 22 inch suitcase that has hard square edges at the bottom (or wheels that make it square) won't fit in it. So the agent just points that it doesn't fit and you have to check. I was not happy from Paris to London."

Plussat: "British Air reps took us through security and to the gate for boarding which was most appreciated after our check-in. Once on the plane the flight was great and the crew helpful. I wheel chair was waiting for us when we landed in London."
Miinukset: "We were told to check in at terminal 2A to British Air for our flight. BA was on the lower floor almost in terminal 2B and there were no signs indicating where we were to find their check-in. When we checked in they initially had no record of our continuing flight on Virgin Atlantic to the US. They checked our bags through to the US but could not give us boarding cards for the 2nd leg of our flight on Virgin."

Plussat: "Everything ran quite smoothly."
Miinukset: "Not much to dislike. The flight was short. Perhaps that the seats need to be a bit more comfortable."

Miinukset: "Flight was canceled forcing us to spend an extra night in Paris. British Airways was extremely unorganized in dealing with an 11 hour delay. I will not fly BA ever again."

Plussat: "The boarding agent did not allow my traveling companion on Till the very last moment because of the size of his backpack. He this was our seventh plane ride in two weeks and nobody else has given us a problem.. After 10 days on the Camino DeSantiago the extra stress was not welcome.. Also short trip with the no there for each service was disappointing. Didn’t see a whole lot of the crew. It was if they were taking a break the entire time."
Miinukset: "The amount of carry-on and size should not have been an issue with backpacks. They fit perfectly into the overhead compartments. Plus a snack and beverage service would have been nice"

Miinukset: "I can't remember a more cramped and uncomfortable flight. Missed connection on way Paris and we arrived 6 hours late. It took British airways 3 days to get our lost luggage to us. Delayed on way back, adding 4 hours to our trip because the first plane was not "serviceable" and they had to get a replacement. They arbitrarily decide who has to much carry on luggage and force you to check it last minute at the gate while letting others with same size bags take them on the plane. Certainly no better than bargain flights and possibly worse. Why pay extra? No more British Airways for us."

Miinukset: "BA's poor customer service team who don't explain extra baagge charges correctly and don't have the decency to say they were in the wrong for not dealing with my issue correctly ans giving the run around"

Miinukset: "No courtesy! At least soft drinks ought to be on the house - they even charge for water - disgusting compared to US airless that at least offer you nuts and a drink for free! BA is now in the EasyJet-RyanAir league! Awful!"

Miinukset: "Business class seems to be mostly different in that there's nobody seating in the middle, and maybe a better "meal". Fortunately, it's a very short flight. It was delayed 45 minutes though, after we boarded, supposedly for congestion at the destination. Ended up doubling the time spent in the plane..."

Plussat: "I did a round trip to Paris. 1st portion on American Airlines. The difference was astounding as to friendliness, service, food, wine and entertainment the Brit Air back to NYC from Paris was 1000 times better than the 1st portion to Paris on American."
Miinukset: "There was a stop over in London that got a bit confusing at boarding time in Heathrow ...as a flight to another country was being boarded at the same time and the set up in the general terminal make for some confusion as to which line to get into."

Miinukset: "It felt as though they had very minimal snacks/food for the trip as we only received one snack towards the end of the trip and one meal and it was an 8 hour flight. When I asked for extra snacks, they said there was none. This ruined my experience for me since I was hungry for most of the flight."

Plussat: "Arrived early, earned oneworld status points."
Miinukset: "BA are a budget airline charging premium prices."

Miinukset: "Did not hear a warning for additional, strict security screening and lines at Heathrow. Had only 1h 5m layover, barely made my connection."

Miinukset: "Our flights were sold as British airways but operated by American Airlines. Yes, we flew economy and we were expecting small seats, but these seats felt extremely small. They pack so many seats into the space that there is no comfort at all in flying. It was a complete let down. Food was an improvement from our flight from LAX To CDG, but if was only mediocre at best. I really expected this flight to be better than those I've taken with Vueling, Iberia and Virgin but it was terribly disappointing. I would think twice before purchasing a ticket with this airline again."

Miinukset: "Plane got a little hot sitting at the gate and our seats were the only ones that didn't have air vents."

Miinukset: "Only strong negative was the absence of any free drinks or snacks. A cup of tea cost over 2 pounds - ridiculous!"

Miinukset: "When we went to check in on 6/30, the website said all legs of our reservation have been flown. We had to call British Airways and then the booking company (Webjet) to finally get things sorted out. British Airways counted our flight from JFK to CDG as a "no show" but in reality, we had just missed our connecting flight because of so many delays at JFK. We had received no notification from Webjet or British Airways of these changes and were told that our taxes were refunded for the return tickets."

Miinukset: "Flying in and flying out was a headache! Both times, the flights were delayed, therefore causing me to have to miss my connecting flights "BOTH times!!!!" I had to rebook and reticket my luggages throughout both travels! I will NEVER EVER book with Bristish Airways EVER again! Worst experience ever thus far! Worst part was that I had my elderly parents with me and I had to continuously make changes because of the flight delays, which put all of us in extreme stress! Made me sick to my stomach of how unprofessional BA staff were when it came to accommodating us due to their delays."

Miinukset: "Although it was clear already around 9:30 that this flight (scheduled to depart at 10:25) would be severely delayed sue to fog in CDG and LHR, the local British Airways staff adamantly refused to assist in rerouting us either from Paris or from London to our final destination in Chicago. Their complete lack of cooperation was stunning and quite offensive. A different tune was played by the airport staff for international connections who helped us expeditiously and kindly to be rerouted on an United Airlines flight."

Plussat: "For the last flight of the day out of Paris, surprisingly the flight left on time and landed ahead of schedule."
Miinukset: "Had to wait for a bus to take us a very short distance to T5. The flight was packed - too many people with large carry-on cases."

Plussat: "Fast bag drop and quick efficient boarding. Flight wasn't full so plenty of space. BA still serves complimentary drinks and a small snack (crisps or biscuit) with the drinks."

Plussat: "My luggage was lost and had to wait 2hrs."

Plussat: "EVERYTHING"

Plussat: "Excellent aircraft, seems very new. Main meal served (I had vegetarian option) was great. Blankets provided were very nice. Good entertainment."
Miinukset: "The smaller snack served later in the flight was not good. I had the vegetarian option, and the items in the box were meant to be served at room temperature but I believe the box had been heated up with the regular meals, and everything in the box was piping hot - chocolate bar was melted, mustard packet was hot, lettuce on sandwich was wilted, dried fruit mix was hot."
