No trains or hotels available, only way to rebook was through their phone service? Which didn’t open until 8am. Why not rebook at the ticket desk, guess what? You can’t!"

Plussat: "JAL is on time with good cabin crew. Food is good and enough. In-flight entertainment - 4 movies form San Diego to Narita. 3 Movies form Narita to San Diego (tail winds make the return trip shorter). I love and appreciate the toothbrush/paste in the bathroom. After a long flight, nobody wants to talk to me face to face haha"

The seats were super comfortable with a great entertainment system/large screen. The layout essentially gave you a nearly private suite. The doos service was impeccable. The lavatories spotless, along with those cool Japanese bidets...first one I've seen on a plane. Overall, I loved the experience."
Miinukset: "Remarkably the one issue on this wonderful business class seat was a limited area of storage for small items, most significantly a lack of a pocket for a cell phone by the USB port. Also the armrest didn't rise when the seat was in upright mode."

Miinukset: "The interior seems dated, with old-school channel based entertainment system, unlike the ondemand IFE most Asian airlines are equipped with. Meal service was also very slow - took over 50 minutes to serve the economy cabin. There was no choice of main available.. Main was an array of fish cakes type street snacks. It was edible but not impressive."

Miinukset: "The JAL website specified most trans-atlantic flights with the newer and more spacious seating in Premium Economy. Departing from San Diego, this was only an option once a year I was told at the check in counter. I was counting on extra width and legroom as I am 270 lbs and 73" tall. I was disappointed that these up-gradable seats were not available. I also did not like that we sat on the Oksaka tarmac at a divert airport from Narita (Tokyo) and were not given an option to leave the plane and find alternate transportation of our choice to get us to our destination. I understand the high winds and bad weather was not allowing us to land on time, but we sat on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours and then left to fly into Narita 5 hours late."

Though flight cancelled early, United could not get me home same day so provided hotel and meal. Next day flight scheduled 7:05 then 8 am, but even that time came and went without boarding. 15 hours delayed and no hurry getting the plane to depart at the stated time. Total lack of customer service and concern"

Plussat: "Prior flight from Zagreb to Munich was delayed 1 hour due to inclement weather - not the airline's fault. However although I made my connecting flight, my suitcase didn't. I'm writing this the next day & waiting for my suitcase to be delivered."
Miinukset: "There was no announcement about the delay & the reason why. We found out by reading the board. The passengers found out from each other what caused the delay. Passengers would experience less anxiety if they were informed what's going on."

Miinukset: "Confusion with boarding process at gate. Once in plane, long delay with no explanation provided. No info about arrival and possible conflict with connecting flight."

Plussat: "Once again, the in-flight crew was excellent."
Miinukset: "The Frankfort airport is a nightmare. They have loooooooong gateways, so when I Finally got through security FOR THE THIRD TIME, it’s a 10 minute, speed-walk to the gate. Again, a flight delay was the only thing that made the connection possible. I made it to the gate with 3 minutes to spare, so no time for the bathroom, no time to get lunch or even a bottle of water, no time period. And at the end of it all, my bag is lost."

Miinukset: "We were a little late with boarding. I prefer Lufthansa for travel, but I can think of a ton more, easy to serve, more healthy and delicious menu items. The food smells good, usually, but it isn't that great. The chicken I had was fine, but the side dish (sweet potatoes) wasn't good. The salad had too much radicchio, the soft cheese was too rubbery to cut (spilled my water doing so), the cake wasn't up to German reputation. Also, one flight attendant, got her own suitcase down, at least 5 times, stretching directly above me, with her jacket in my face and never apologizing. My seat wouldn't recline, nor could other peoples. This is why I paid to choose my seat, so I could sleep, more easily but I sat upright the whole time."

Plussat: "Boarding was done very quickly. Unlike the norm nowadays, people weren't cramming every single inch of space in the overhead. In addition, the flight wasn't full so my travel companion got to enjoy a full row to himself while I enjoyed an empty seat next to me to stretch out. The food was very good. The staff came by quite a few times to offer orange juice or water. The entertainment syren was excellent. I watched four full movies on the trip and have in mind at least a couple more for the return leg."

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "They tried to make me pay for my laptop bag, telling me it was a handbag. NEVER pay for a laptop bag!!!"

Plussat: "The flight itself was fine, about what you'd expect from a short-duration flight on a major airline."
Miinukset: "I wished to change to an earlier flight with plenty of seats available. the Lufthansa ticket agent stated the only way, as I had booked a "light" fare, was to pay a full-price one-way economy ticket--plus luggage--for about 380 euros with no credit for my current ticket. After booking a day-room at a local hotel, I checked in on-line and discovered for 115 euros I could have upgraded to business class, with luggage included, and been accommodated on schedule changes. My suggestion to Lufthansa is if they intend to rip their customers off it's best NOT TO LET THEM FIND OUT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, or if they're simply too incompetent to match marketing offers to their booking department they could save considerable income and reputation by closing the ticket office. As it was, the impression was a low-class money grab. It's not like they can count on their partnership with United to make them look good."

Plussat: "The entertainment touch screen system is so much easier to use than the planes that have the remote controls. Having all of the toilets downstairs was nice. It was less noisy and had a little space to stretch. The crew was very friendly and helpful."
Miinukset: "Even though I was sitting on the left side aisle seat (2-seat section), it was very cramped. I'm only 5'2" and my legs were very uncomfortable. Along with less leg room than other airlines, it felt like the seat itself was narrower too. The food quality control was disappointing. The meal I had on the first leg of my flight (Mumbai-Munich), I noticed that it expired by about 2 weeks. And the complimentary water bottles also had a past expiration date (although, I don't know how water expires). Generally speaking, I think all of the meals I ate on Lufthansa were subpar compared to the many Asian airlines I've used for overseas flights. Quality could be improved and I think there's a missed opportunity to incorporate meal options correlated to the airline or international destinations (German airline, why not bratwurst? Pretzel bread?)"

Plussat: "Crew was extremely friendly! Great variety of the newest movies. Toilets were always kept clean."
Miinukset: "Horrible food: over-salted and "mystery meat" for lunch; only given a small piece of bland cheese pizza for dinner and that was it. I suggest providing a small bottle of water for a long flight instead of a small cup of drink during the two meal times. I felt dehydrated during the flight (wasn't able to buy a bottle of water beforehand) and didn't want to keep buzzing the flight attendants repeatedly."

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."

Plussat: "Crew worked hard to make the journey pleasant, including the second crew for my connection to New York JFK, a much longer flight. Even some of the food was edible."

Plussat: "Even on such a short flight I got a sandwich. It was a salmon sandwich which I never had on any other flights. They usually serve cheese or ham or chicken in the Middle East. It was nice to have something different and nutritious."

Plussat: "The crew did their best to help several people whose seat requests were not honored including a woman traveling with a dog who was given an aisle instead of a window seat. Crew came around with water and juice frequently."
Miinukset: "Seat assignments were not honored. My husband and I were seated in two different rows even though we requested to sit together in an aisle and window seat and checked in the day before the flight This happened on all four legs of a trip to South Africa. Extremely narrow seats and little leg room. Felt like a cattle car. An aggressive woman with disruptive, screaming children was allowed to Torture passengers for a good five hours of the flight before the bursar finally moved her. This was after several hours of complaints from other passengers. She was eventually moved twice due to passenger complaints. The situation should have been handled after the first complaints which occurred two hours into the flight before the situation completely detiorated Food was terrible and meals ran out."

Miinukset: "I didn't like how in the Munich airport I couldn't find a place to plug my phone in. they should make those more accessible"

Plussat: "American Airlines had awesome customer service, smooth flight, comfortable and seats were roomy for economy."

Plussat: "The return BA flight was head and shoulders over the outgoing AA flight. You had new, comfortable, working equipment (the 787 is great). The AA plane basically was awful, old, cramp, entertainment equipment wasn't working and when it did it was the old style shared monitor. The BA crew was super and approachable. The Food was great for airplane food. I would fly BA anytime."

Miinukset: "Had to wait around while waiting forever to learn about gate. Were told that gat would be revealed 45 min before flight. It came about 20minutes before. It was a little harrowing."

Miinukset: "Boarding via bus to plane was an added hassle The cabin temperature throughout flight was uncomfortably cold On each trip I have made with BA ( 6 in last year USA to U.K. and Spain) lack of overhead luggage space is always an issue. I paid 65 pounds for an extra check-on small suitcase, yet I couldn’t even put a small holdall in overhead because others had whole suitcases in there. This needs to be re-evaluated!"

Miinukset: "The crew seemed very stressed about the flight being full and therefore was somewhat curt regarding baggage. Also, again not even a glass of water?"

Plussat: "Crew was professional and good, as usual. Plane was clean and as comfortable as economy class can be."
Miinukset: "I guess a hazard of being toward the back, but they were running out of food choices. It was still pretty good. Also, my entertainment screen was working only so-so."

Miinukset: "The chair in front of mine was broken or worn out so that it declined alarmingly far. It felt like the gentleman in front me had his head in my lap. My tray table was also broken so that it listed dangerously and I had to prop it on my arm rest."

Plussat: "Liked the big 380 airbus. The food and entertainment was great on the long distance flight. The Airbus seats are more comfortable than others."
Miinukset: "2 hour delay because they said they didn't have the equipment to back the plane out of the maintenance hanger. Really? - at one of the big airports of Europe, they didn't have a tug vehicle."

A stingy snenities kit and a blanket doesn’t come close to qantas or emerites. The food is an embarrassment - microwave dinners over heated is a a generous description. Crew do as little as possible (they don’t want to be they’ve either)"

Miinukset: "The woman who worked the British Airways desk in Helsinki and checked our bags is not suited for a customer service position. The screens on the British Airways long haul planes are tiny and difficult to operate. A 2,5 h flight where you can't even get water complimentary is appalling. Honestly all of your competitors offer a snack and beverages complimentary even if the flight is only 45 min. The boarding for London to Dallas flight was very confusing and could have been made easier with grouping the boarding instead of tons of people piling up to rush in at once."

We got our drink before dinner and the drink cart did not come back again when dinner was served so we had to have dinner without a drink (other than the small cup of water that comes with the tray). Breakfast now has been relegated to a breakfast bar - really?!?!"

Plussat: "Boarding smooth enough, seats comfy enough"
Miinukset: "Checked bags line insanely long, gate MILES away from security checkpoint, no food or entertainment (why low rating, n/a), could always use more legroom, paid more for bags than for flight and taking bags was a huge hassle and worry"

Plussat: "The crew on the plane were nice."
Miinukset: "British Airways misplaced our luggage for three days, and would give us no further information than "it will arrive soon." So, we were stuck near the local address we had provided in case they called for 2 full days. They refused to give us a more precise time as to when they would be delivered. Well, at one point they did say that they would be delivered at noon, but they weren't. Throughout the entire time waiting for the luggage to be delivered, there was no sense of urgency or concern on the part of British Airways. It seems missing luggage is just Business as Usual at British Airways."

Plussat: "they boarded from middle of the plane which worked out very well"
Miinukset: "it was a 3 hr flight and all the food and drink you had to buy i would of thought they would of gave u something to snack on we sat at terminal for about a hr because they had to load a piece of equipment a certian way for it to b safe to fly (pilots explaintion) poor planing"

Miinukset: "Having to pay for a cup of tea!"

Plussat: "Clean plane"
Miinukset: "Nothing was offered for free to during or even a simple snack what about a sandwich, Huge disappointment"

Miinukset: "It was horrible I had an hour window in London and I missed my flight because of that I had to go another airport to cache a fligh to Kiev Well now I don't have a ticket to fly back because they cancelled my ticket so needless to say it was the worst experience ever"

Miinukset: "See above"

Plussat: "Very upscale aircraft, Polite staff and overall nice flight."

Plussat: "I was prepared with my smart phone and iPad and external batteries, turns out I needed none of those things! What a pleasant surprise for the in flight movies, music and tv to be perfect. I didn't even have to use my external battery on the flight because there is a perfect USB port in the screen in front of you. The food was as good as airplane good gets, the plane incredibly comfortable and staff was attentive. I don't love the long flights but this BA flight is now my go to anytime Im headed to Europe."

Plussat: "The crew were pleasant throughout, however, even they referred to this flight being a comedy of errors."
Miinukset: "BA badly needs to invest in some new stock. 2 hr delayed departure as a tire needed to be changed. Took over 1 hour to get the entertainment system to work after 2 reboots. Leaking air conditioning vent above my seat. Food was mediocre. Snack before arrival is clearly cost saving, sandwiches have been replaced with a biscuit."

Plussat: "The service and the people at this airline are by far the best experience I've had flying. Love the atmosphere of comfort they create. Good food served and entertainment provide a pleasant experience on long flights."
Miinukset: "The seating was a little small, but still comfortable."

Plussat: "Friendly helpful airline staff. Plane slightly late leaving but kept up-to-date."
Miinukset: "Nothing"

Plussat: "Nice staff, easy to board."

Miinukset: "The seats were tight & crews are not at all welcoming! Connection time was insufficient for the strict security screenings, custom clearance & distance between gates (London Would never connect at London Heathrow ever again!"

Plussat: "flight departure and arrival were early. check in was easy even though I arrived at the airport late due to weather."
Miinukset: "extra baggage and overweight fees are excessive"

Miinukset: "Individual tv screens would be a plus."

Miinukset: "Antiquated and glitchy entertainment system on the 747-400"

Plussat: "I liked that we were on time getting to Phoenix."
Miinukset: "The plane was old and the video screen in my seat was not working properly. In economy there are way too many seats packed into a row for that long of flight. It was extremely uncomfortable."
