I was very thirsty there wasn't any air hostess passing by very weird experience

I think the site for the airline is buggy, as it was also an ordeal by trial-and-error to try to check in online. I also could not elect to check a bag during the on line check in process, which I know is sometimes an option. When I arrived at the airport, the check in was a mess (ton of people, everyone was taking forever at the counter) and when I FINALLY arrived at the counter, I was informed that I needed to take a handwritten receipt from the check in counter, go up a floor and wind through a few corridors to find some travel agent (?) desk to pay 40 Euros for my checked bag. Which actually was 48 Euros because I needed to use a card, and was not paying by cash. After I managed to find the desk where I needed to pay, I had to wind my way back downstairs and muscle my way back into the line I had already waited in to finish the check in process. When we arrived in Split, 25% of the flight was missing their bags, which included a member of the party I was traveling with. It took an extra 30 minutes at the airport to file a missing bag claim, and another 38 hours for the bag to finally arrive. Not a great way to spend the few days we had in Split."

Miinukset: "The boarding began with delay. The boarding call eas absent or hard to hear anyway. The boarding sign was on two places simultaneously, with vision obscured by the in-building wall pillar. Most passengers were sitting in the waiting area expecting the boarding call to be announced on that obvious gate, while they started boarding on another gate around the corner. And it was not Croatia Airlines staff, but some airport personnel. Before landing, flight attendants let some passenger have luggage on the floor in front of the seat in the exit row, which does nit comply with the safety standards. Likewise, some passengers were already using cellular signal before landing, which is another lack of precaution. It us true that flight attendants cannot see whether each and every passenger obeys safety measures, but they should better pass through the aisle and check it rather than grabbing their own seat so early, eapecially when the flight was only half-booked."

Twenty minutes later they were still with the same customers . Finally two additional agents appeared. We got our boarding passes, but were told we needed to hurry because they were already boarding. We made it because we ran as much as we could and arrived breathless and sweaty. Poor customer service!"

I asked a lady who was helping people to find the right kiosk for checking but she said I don’t have your flight on my system. Again I went to the information desk at the airport but I was told your flight checking now is closed!,,, I was like WHAT?are you kidding? I told them it’s 2 hours before my flight take off, how it’s possible? Than she called someone and I was told yiou can checking at # counter. When I found the counter; I didn’t see any sigh by Croatia Airlines. Short story, I ended up to pay 40 euro for my 20 kg baggage’."

Miinukset: "Our flight from Venice to Dubrovnik was delayed by two hours. During that time, no updates were given to the passengers waiting, the airport monitors continued to show the original departure time. Eventually the monitors showed a later departure time (which we still didn't make), but continued to show the same arrival time at the other end. If taken literally, it implied flying at the speed of light. I understand that flights can be delayed, I just want good communication about the status, which was not given."
Miinukset: "I can't comment on connectiing flight because I'm still sitting in the airport waiting for the next available Croatia Airlines flight to get me to my destination. The gate agent was not very helpful."

There was also no wi-fi, and even though this is a first world problem, it's 2018 and the flights were longer than some people stay awake in a whole day. That's ridiculous. Kayak is chill, but Norwegian will no longer be an option for my travels."

The airline neglected to offload my checked luggage, refused to do accommodate me with a change fee and now has lost my bag and has no idea where it is."

Miinukset: "You get nickel and dimed for everything. Have to pay separately for a meal 72 hours before flight or miss out. Have to pay for a blanket. Cramped seats. Staff about what you'd expect given the rest. Will avoid this airline in the future despite its travel times. Worst of all was the outsourced phone customer service. The app would not work several times for basic things like adding luggage. I was treated as if I was the problem. It was surreal. Seriously, never again."

I’m generally not down for ‘budget’ international flights - without adding the $60 meal service each way they don’t even offer you a water, let alone a coffee. I had to ask for water in the back and they were stingy about giving it out insisting they had to go in little plastic cups, very inconvenient."

But the hot sandwhich the first time was still frozen in the middle. The second time it was all warm but still taste was awful. The cold sandwhich... also gross. And I don't mind bad samdwhiches from a 711 or a gas station at a rest stop. But I could hardly touch either of these."

Miinukset: "The pre-boarding and boarding experience was dismal, with extended delays requiring leaving the gate area accompanied by vague explanations and conflicting instructions about when to return to the gate, when to expect an update, and how to expect the update to be communicated. Instead, ground agents were rude and blamed passengers' confusion on us rather than their own lack of coordination and communication among themselves."

They also told us that the next flight they could get us on was Sunday when our flight that we were on was on a Thursday. So, we ran through the airport, through security, and through the terminal to get to our flight. We arrived at our gate to see that no one had boarded and an announcement that our flight had been delayed an hour. Not one person on the Ryanair team told us about the delay. It was an awful experience and I will never fly cheap airlines again. It's not worth the savings."

If there hadn't been a delay boarding the flight I may not have been allowed on. I arrived 90 minutes before this in-country flight as well."
Miinukset: "Hidden baggage fees and fees if you don't print out your boarding pass. Fewer Ryanair staff working the desk meant that the check-in line was monstrous. They don't automate, so they had to walk us down the hall to another office to check whether we had paid in advance for our baggage."

When I asked attendant the apologized but didn't have any. Gate person pulled us out of boarding line to make us check our bags even though our bags were smaller than most everyone else's carryons. We were the only ones that were checked. Can't help but feel that we were profiled as Americans.traveling."

Miinukset: "Questionable ethics in terms of check in. You have to check in online at least two hours before or prepare to pay a fee. This is not spelled out upon purchase of ticket. When checking in, you need to print or download boarding pass or pay a fee when arriving at airport. You must pay for a checked bag before arrival to airport or (you guessed it) pay a fee. We were fortunate to avoid all fees except for the checked bag fee (a convenience fee on top of the price to check a bag). Ryanair's emails provided no link or instructions to check a bag. Also, springing all this information on us two days before travel was sketchy at best. My guess is a healthy percentage of customers use Ryanair for flights in the middle of a vacation and investigating these details are the last thing on travelers' minds. Ryanair knows exactly what they're doing revealing the info when they do."

The website is horrible. I checked a bag online but when I got to the check in they had no record of it and I had to pay extra. If you are not an EU citizen you have to present a printed boarding pass. If you are traveling this can be difficult. That flight was over a half hour late and no explanation was given. It was an almost one hour wait for bags. I will never use this airline again."
Plussat: "En general fue una buena experiencia para ser un vuelo low cost. Importante saber que los asientos no se reclinan y que si el vuelo va lleno sólo caben las primeras 90 maletas en cabina, las demás se pueden despachar al momento del abordaje sin cargo."
Miinukset: "Cambian de Gate bastante, así que hay que estar atentos. A nosotros nos cambiaron tres veces de Gate en nuestro vuelo de Madrid a Dublín."
Plussat: "It was cheap"
Miinukset: "Unaware you were not allowed to take coffee on the jet bridge let alone the plane. I guess so you will buy theirs? Wish I had not spent 4 pounds on a coffee they confiscated."
Miinukset: "The flight was delayed 3 hours. We stood at the gate in line for half an hour before we were taken back i side the airport. There was no announcement that we are reboarding"
Plussat: "On time, low cost base ticket fare"
Miinukset: "Hidden fees, such as paying 55 euros for a carry-on bag that they claim did not fit in their ridiculously small box at the check-in gate. But, we were the only ones targeted for this additional fee (other travelers had much bigger bags, and were not charged the fee). I assume it's because we had US Passports, while the others were local travelers. Warning: you will pay low ticket prices, but they will burn you on added fees. Consider all hidden fees when comparing prices."
Miinukset: "1.5 hours late on board, but they kept insisting it was on time. Don't know if hey were trying to avoid some kind of delayed statistic, but we landed in Rome over an hour late."
