I had less then 15mins to run from a gate B to gate Z58 and pass US passport control. Luckily I made the flight but my luggage did not. The 55mins layover is not a sufficient one considering the size of FRA airport especially when the first flight is late."

Medical problem on board caused delays and me having to change seats at the end to where the sick woman used to sit - smelled of vomit, gross. 3 crying bwbies for 12 hours. Miinukset: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."
Plussat: "New crew on first flight but they we're even"
Miinukset: "Not much. Left sitting on a plane for over an hour & 1/2. Then taken into a door where I illegally entered the country. My passports seized. No other flight available to Dallas. Sent to Newark, NJ & missed the next flight to Dallas because Lufthansa lost my scooter. Someone pulled it by a wire and it doesn't run correctly. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!"
Miinukset: "The airplane left Barcelona late and arrived in Frankfurt late. Lufthansa only allowed a 45 minute layover in Frankfurt to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. Because we arrived late - we only had 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. What made this an awful experience is that the flight from Barcelona landed at Gate A - our connecting flight was at Gate Z. This was as about as far away from each gate as you could get. This was over a mile to run in order to catch our connecting flight - I hurt my hamstring during the run. The Lufthansa "assisting agent" in the Frankfurt terminal was less than helpful and laughed when we told her where our connecting gate was. Not only did she laugh but she did not offer any assistance to get us to the gate on time. Prior to our trip - I called Lufthansa and voiced my concern that a 45 minute layover for an international flight was not a lot of time for us to make a connecting flight. The agent I spoke with said that legally - 45 minutes was a standard lay over for Lufthansa and she did not offer me any alternatives. This was not a pleasant experience with Lufthansa and I doubt we will fly with you again."

Plussat: "We had a four hour delay and were promptly put in a hotel; Sheraton beds are very comfortable, I wish I had more than three hours to sleep."
Miinukset: "I never heard major announcements regarding the delay or the meal voucher (maybe not loud enough?). If they said it only once, they should've repeated it. It sounds stupid, but I waited for an hour at boarding before I realized the lineup is for meal vouchers and not the flight. Nobody approached or announced anything, I had to go and ask about changes and details."

Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Miinukset: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

Miinukset: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

For a long flight this is absurd! Also they were even out of tea if you wanted to purchase it. When I told the crew there was no more toilet tissue in the bathrooms halfway through the flight, they did nothing. I took a round trip, first flight, barely room for my legs, the second flight, in the bigger plane, was fine."

Miinukset: "I booked a business class seat several months ago and wa downgraded because my seat was broken. I spent 8 1/2 hrs squashed in economy from Newark to Rome. I was promised 1st class service even though I was downgraded but I had to argue with the flight attendants to get the premium meals. The gate agent claims that this is std and happens daily. She promised that the crew is notified about this stuff and I would be taken care of. What a load of bull. They also claim that I’ll receive a 75% refund on my ticket. I’m not going to hold my breath waiting. My wife and I travel business class all over the world and this is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had."

Plussat: "For a 9.5 hr flight, you didn’t get meals and there wasn’t TVs to entertain yourself. When you asked the flight attendants for help, it was like you were bothering or inconveniencing them. It was a terrible experience for any kind of flight."

Miinukset: "No refreshments were provided to a whole passenger group while they waited in a line to find out what to do and at the end things were still not resolved"
Miinukset: "We missed the flight due to last minute cancellation of our originating flight from Rochester NY to Newark with United. The cost of changing our flight through Kayak for the next day was over $750 and the travel insurance I purchased through Kayak may not cover this event. I may never use Kayak again. Here we see the high cost of low price deals."
Plussat: "I did not like the fact that there are so many hidden fees. Customer service is also the worst. It took a flight attendant 20 minutes to attend a request, and another 20 minutes to give you what you requested/orderd. Also, once they attend you, they make you feel like you are the worst customer for requesting/ordering something. They give you the nastiest side eye, all of them!!! They also kept getting the orders wrong. The old gentleman I sat next to was vegetarian, and they gave his meal to someone else, so they gave him a sandwich with meat in it."

Miinukset: "In-flight entertainment very limited. Not many movies, strange tv program content, no music at all. The flight was late leaving Oakland and the pilot didn't make up any time, so I nearly missed my connection in Stockholm. Aalanda airport was part of that problem as transfer security had a single line with one really slow person manning it! That all added up to a long line of very anxious travelers!"
Plussat: "Modern, clean plane (Dreamliner); and fuss-free experience. Definitely good value for money."
Miinukset: "Seriously poor leg-room for a transatlantic flight. If you're going to sell food on board. Make the most of the opportunity and ensure it's decent quality?! Options are limited and quality is noooot good."

Miinukset: "Staff didn't manage boarding well with the result that people were standing for long periods waiting needlessly in a queue. The entertainment system broke down which on a 7 hour flight is not a trivial loss. The flight was one hour delayed in departing, although it did make up some of that time over the Atlantic."
Miinukset: "Broken seat, no movies "they didn't download", we were promised a drink as a lame compensation for a 7 hour flight with no entertainment. Drink offer was rescinded to no alcohol. You have to buy everything you need and there are extra checkpoints at every possible juncture to weigh bags, check status and docs. Not worth the small savings."

Plussat: "The airplane was clean and the flight crew was friendly. There was a decent amount of space in the seats and there was enough overhead space for carry-ons."

Plussat: "The plane (787) is amazing - nice, quiet, modern, fast."
Miinukset: "Terrible seats and space between seats, I am 6' and could not fit my knees. Seats in economy are made for little children..Worst seat experience ever."

Miinukset: "The crew on the airline talked most of the short flight, and I could hear their personal conversation. Not very professional. Not a glass of water was served. Only food for pay."

Miinukset: "Lost and Found does not work. I forgot a thing in the plane. Norwegian tell me to contact Lost & Found at airport and they tell me to get in contact with Norwegian. I've tried it 3 rounds now but still nothing."

Miinukset: "Generator malfunctioned while taxiing and the flight was cancelled. Was stuck on tarmac for 5 hours with no food or beverages. Details to arrange new flight/hotel stay was not communicated well. Took another 2 hours to check-in to the new flight the next day. New flight was delayed another 4 hours."
Plussat: "Cheap tickets, on time flights and modern aircraft"
Miinukset: "It's a budget airline, don't expect any luxuries. No free water on board. Check in experience at Helsinki was ridiculous. Spent an hour queuing just to DROP our bags. This was AFTER already having boarding passes and luggage tags"

Plussat: "I was pleased with the selection of movies and the convenience of the snack bar in ordering. The chicken & rice meal was delicious and the paper bag meal was nice."
