Plussat: Staff went out of their way to provide excellent service. The breakfast buffet - especially the selection of fruit - was wonderful. The location is right next to one of the major train and metro stations, and is walking distance to major attractions (St. George's Castle, Elevador de Santa Justa), restaurants and shopping (high-end Chiado district is just a few minutes walk away). The property is beautiful and unique.

Plussat: Sijainti paras mahdollinen lähellä viehättävää Alfaman kapunginosaa. Merenrantaan muutaman sadan metrin kävelymatka, ja jos haluaa kauemmaksi niin kaksi metroasemaa on hotellin lähistöllä. Hyviä illallisravintoloita on aivan hotellin vieressä, sillä illalla hotellin katu toimii kävelykatuna.

Miinukset: - I did not have a bath robe or slippers that my colleagues loved (and later learned that it depended on the class of the room selected. I guess I did not choose the good one) - the bakery/tea house recommended by the reception was not the best (otherwise excellent suggestions for quick tourism, depending on the time available)

Plussat: Browns was a small boutique hotel in downtown Lisbon. It’s location made exploring easy and the staff at the desk and the bar were amazingly helpful and always happy. The room, although small (small room with street view) was perfect. All the little details and extras made up for the lack of size. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Miinukset: Air circulation in the room is not so good and the air conditioner is controlled and adjusted just by the reception and you can not control it. The reception asked us to fill in a form and sign it just to borrow an umbrella for couple of hours in a rainy day.

Plussat: Its very clean and spacious. Breakfast is also great with a lot of choices as we stayed 3 nights. In the middle of the old town area. Close to nice places and good restaurants and shopping area. Staff are nice . Philip also accommodated us on the late night check in.

Miinukset: ...but couldn't get over the floors- just slabs of cold, scratched up concrete- no carpet/rug/wood- felt like was in a hospital- but at least hospitals use linoleum. Walls were also just plain white, so felt even more stark. Staff also not super helpful, they seemed bothered by any guest asking them questions

Miinukset: Aamiainen ei vastannut odotuksia. Kaikki oli kutakuinkin loppu, laseja ja kuppeja sai erikseen kysellä ja palvelu aamiaisella oli välinpitämätöntä. Ei siis hintansa väärti.

Plussat: One of the best places I've ever stayed at. An excellent hostel inside the historic Rossio train station located in Lisbon’s central Rossio square. This hostel did its job, and the downstairs facilities with the indoor garden were great. They also offered a lot of information on Lisbon, and the staff were super helpful and nice, especially the girl who checked me in. Clean and right next to the metro stations Restauradores and Rossion. The kitchen was nice and the shower was clean. Good breakfast and overall pleasant stay. I’d stay again. Highly recommend!

Plussat: It is my pleasure to write this review for Lisbon Destination Hostel. It is located at Rossio main station which makes travelers more convenient to transfer other spots, like Sintra etc. The staff are also kind and professional. The good news is they provide the delicious breakfast every morning and the temperature of air conditioning and shower water are really comfortable. With these kind of advantages, I think the travelers should consider this option if you still hesitate. Hopefully, I will hang in out with my friends again and explore the beauty of Lisbon in the summer, I guess it would be wonderful.

Plussat: What place to be, the location is Crazy, it is inside the oldest train station in Portugal, the breakfast is amazing. The free Sangria is a good to meet people, even better with the beer pong. The whole staff are great, shout out to Ricardo, Renata and Murilo, who help me with everything. I will be back for sure.

Plussat: The hostel was great and the staff can not be more helpful and exceptional, love Riccardo and Derrick. All the tours organised by the hostel are quite great especially the pub crawls. They have a sister hostel where they start some tours and BBQs. The free Sangaria hour and free breakfast, comfy bed and all the facilities are clean and tidy.

Plussat: One of the best places I've ever stayed at. An excellent hostel inside the historic Rossio train station located in Lisbon’s central Rossio square. Plussat: Our room had a wonderful view on Restauradores Square with Nespresso, minibar and chocolate on the pillows every night. Very comfortable large bed. At the 7th floor every morning we enjoyed a rich and varied breakfast with view. Smoked salmon with sparking wine, grilled vegetables, warm croissants, cereals with yogurt and superfoods, fresh fruits and, not less important, very kind smiling waiters. On the 8th floor the terrace with loungers was like the”cherry on top of a cake”: just a surprise!

Plussat: Terrific location with easy check in and comfortable rooms. The roof bar is an added bonus. The rooms were plenty big for 2 friends traveling together. The bathroom was especially spacious with a great shower! We could get anywhere we needed to be very easily from this location by any. mode of transport.

Miinukset: My promised "terrace" was really a balcony, just room enough for a small table and chairs. Also reception staff on evening I arrived were competent but hardly warm or welcoming -- not nearly like reception staff at Fonte Cruz Lisboa. Breakfast was sufficient but not as good as others I've had in this class of hotel in Portugal. And man, I wish these more upscale hotels would get rid of the coffee-making machines in breakfast room where you push a button to select your coffee/tea/hot chocolate. It all tastes like processed and synthetically sweetened bilgewater.

Plussat: The elevator was practical and it was clean. The breakfast was not too bad, there was a nice coffee machine, however only coffee from the buffet was included, not the good one from the machine..
Miinukset: The first night I had a room on the first floor, a single room, which was located above the kitchen, with a zooming noise and totally no view from the room, so it felt very much closed up. I couldn’t sleep, because of the noise and luckily I got another, nicer room on the third floor. A nice gesture from the guy at the reception. It is noisy at night, due to the bar opposite, but that is due to the location, so nothing the hotel can be blamed for.

Miinukset: the last day we were they, we went own to breakfast and, while we were having breakfast, they decided to make renovations in the kitchen. The used metal and stone grinders. There was so much noise I thought to be in a body shop. My girlfriend even told the if they could wait after we finished breakfast but they still carried on.

Miinukset: they wanted exara money for cheackout after 13:00 pm. They do not change bedding every day.(Stain that was on the sheet "moved" the next day to the other side). They just make the bed. Some of the towels had stains. They wanted to charge us double the water bottle we bought from the receipt (which is also the price of 2x half the receipt from the nearby store)

Käytössäsi on ympäri vuorokauden auki oleva business center, ilmaiset sanomalehdet aulassa ja kuivapesula-/pesulapalvelut. Käytössäsi on lentokenttäkuljetukset (saatavilla ympäri vuorokauden). Jos saavut autolla, voit pysäköidä helposti, sillä rajoitettu pysäköinti kuuluu myös palveluihin.

Miinukset: Vaihtelevuutta tarjontaan esim hedelmät, leikkeleet..muutamina aamuina osa loppu mutta nopeasti tuli täydennystä. Kylpyhuoneen "suihkuletku" vaatisi uusimisen ainakin meidän huoneessa. Kadun puoleiseen huoneeseemme kuului kyllä illan musiikki ym aina puoleen yöhön (ei joka ilta) se ehkä pitäisi mainita varattaessa. Olisko mahd.lisätä koukkuja päällysvaatteita varten, koska vaatekaappi oli pieni.

Plussat: The property is walking distance to everything. Tram 28 is just a couple of blocks away and on the other end Placa Commercial. Its right smack in the middle. We liked because of the location. Not so much uphill slopes because we were purposely avoiding that. And since we took uber most times, the hotel is in the corner of a main street so its easy to wait for the uber ride. The room's size is good, it was clean in general. There was someone at the reception 24/7.

Miinukset: AC-järjestelmä oli pois käytöstä. Siihen löytyi selitys; "tähän aikaan vuodesta ei yleensä tarvita jäähdytystä vaan lämmitystä". Ehkäpä, ehkäpä... Hämmennystä lisäsi vielä se että sain järjestelmän toimimaan jäähdytysmoodissa yhden päivän. Muuten laite ei suostunut yhteistyöhön edes pelkästään tuulettimena. (Ystävällinen henkilökunta toi meille toki irrallisen tuulettimen.)

Miinukset: Aamiaisella oli perusjutut tarjolla, se oli ihan ok, mutta vähän heikohkosti tarjontaa, sillä jo klo 9 oli monet jutut loppu, eikä niitä tullut lisää sinä aikana kun olimme aamupalalla.

Miinukset: I had the feeling that the owners only care about money. Overpriced. We stayed there for 4 nights. No one asked how was our stay. Only they asked for money (city taxes) You need to climb a 100-150m hill (40% incline) to get there. Well, most of the city is like this. On the top floor of the building there are many apartments and all very small, even we were in the biggest room, still. The lighting is depressing and the bed sheets and linen need to be cleaner. There are multiple code locks to get into the building, into the floor and into your room, and up to the terrace which has no views are nothing there. This place needs maintenance.

Miinukset: We were not given with the code to open the building nor the room door, they did not answer the phone. We spent at least one hour to finally be able to get the room. It was around 10 pm, coming back from a long trip, we were very tired and were not able to get the room. The shower door does not close causing the bathroom to flood making it slippery.

Plussat: Sijainti on hyvä. Aamiainen on hyvin kallis, valikoima suppea, aamiaistila on aika pieni, niin piti odottaa, että pöydät vapautuvat. Lomapäivinä olisi kivaa syödä aamiaista vaikka vähän monipuolisempaa ja ilman kiirettä, ilman odottavia naapureita.

Miinukset: Huone kahdelle on aika ahdas (507), 2-n hengen tavaroille tilaa on liian vähän, vaatekaappi puuttuu kokonaan, suihku ja WC:n PÖNTTÖ on LASISEINÄN takana (moderni?). Näköala - umpisisäpihan likaiset seinät...

Miinukset: The room appeared smaller than what the picture seemed. I know the measurements were given, but it’s hard to visualize the dimensions given. I also don’t like the bathroom walls being glass, although a curtain was available.

Plussat: The only good thing about this hotel is the buffet breakfast and it's location and that's it. Good food selection and setting. The breakfast room is huge and very ornate, with high ceilings and nice chandeliers.
Miinukset: Management needs to upgrade the level of service, and amenities. The reception staff seem lost in their own world doing their thing, seem disorganized, oblivious of guests around them and lack common courtesy. The bathroom - so tiny and in need of upgrades and serious plumbing repair. The bathtub - so small, literally half-size and very dangerous - very difficult to take a shower. Is this standard in Lisbon? TV is not the flat panel type but small, old tube type.

Miinukset: 1) Staff were unhelpful: I fell over just inside front entrance on arrival (it was the edge of the wheelchair ramp which was the same colour as floor so hard to see). The man on reception just looked at me and didn’t even ask if I was okay when we checked in (massive bruise on my knee but no sprains or breaks thankfully). When we asked for a drop of milk the following night the response from another staff member was just ‘no’ even though they have a breakfast bar in the morning. 2) I selected a double bed on my booking. When we pulled back the top quilt there were 2 singles pushed together, made up separately, a hard ridge around the edges of both mattresses and a big gap between them...so a romantic city break was seriously impaired! 3) There was an unplugged fridge inside the wardrobe. To plug it in (so we could buy milk and keep it cold) we managed to locate the plug and socket behind the built in drawer unit and work out how to take the drawers out to access it! 4) There was a strong smell of sewage on the ground floor seating area and where breakfast was served (although thankfully I’d booked room only!)

Miinukset: ALL THE PICTURES WERE NOT MATCHING THE TRUTH. when you are advertising “view” I suppose I will be able to see something, not that I will be the view for the customers of the shop right across the road at less than 4 mts from your window. The superior double bedroom was completely different from the one we saw in the pictures. Plus I requested for a bathtub (and I added it to the filters during my search) it was very disappointing to find out they don’t have bathtubs available and if they have them it can’t be filled. So why you say you have something you can’t offer?

Miinukset: There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and nowhere within the hotel to purchase any kind of drink. there was a small fridge in the room but we paid a premium price to buy a bottle of water from the reception desk. We had to change roms after 2 nights as there was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom. On the day of our departure we used some toilets on the ground floor and the same bad smell was in this area.
