Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

We were then forced to stay in the airport hotel at a rate of almost $200.00 as we were unable to secure a flight on a different airline until the next day"

The entire row behind me had 1 adult & 2 children. 2 Hours into the flight, there were 4 children, no adults and the seats were used as a playpen. 7 hours of kicking, punching the screen, opening the window shutter during "sleeping time" as instructed by the crew. Wine was poured on my back, water splashed on the person next to me, children were climbing over my head... etc. No parents or flight attendants could help the situation. Boarding was a mess. 10-15 passengers surrounding me sat anywhere they wanted creating a delay to push back because everyone just sat with their family and disregarded the chaos it created for those individual travelers wanting to sit in "THEIR PROPER SEAT". This was the worst / never ending flying experience I've ever had. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."
Miinukset: "Our flight was canceled and we lost an entire day of our vacation (apartment rental, car rental, etc). Before leaving to Istanbul when we were in New York we asked if they would reroute our flights from New York City to Naples, Italy since the terrorist attack occurred in Istanbul causing the airport to be shut down. We were reassured that there would be no problems and we would be rerouted once we landed in Turkey, and lo and behold our flights were canceled. We had to spend the day in Turkey, pay for our own food, and pay for the visa €30 per person. This all could have been avoided had they rerouted our flights to another city."

We were stuck next to the jet bridge for about 20 minutes because there was no one to operate it; as a result, I arrived late to get on my next flight. They close the flight even though there were about six passengers having connection delays because of American, the company refused to let us in the airplane even though the flight was in the ramp for about one more hour for unknown reasons."

Miinukset: "Gate agent refused to try to put my 9-year-old son to sit next to me. She said "It's full flight" right out of the bat. Well, even if that's the fact of the matter, at least, be kind in responding to customer's inquiry. My son was seated across the isle, same row, but in reality the row was not even straight. And as a little boy, he cannot sleep straight and he has to lean to a stranger's shoulder? Thankfully I got a nice gent who should have sat next to him who were so kind to exchange seat with me. It's all in the attitude.... hopefully my attitude is not as bad :-) But maybe the gate agent was so tired for it was the last flight from ONT, at 1 AM. Bless her heart! Thank you though for your help to get the plane leave on time.!"

Plussat: "1. Let me check in online but NOT my wife ... we are both Advantage Gold & TSA pre .... wasted 2 hours on the phone with idiots in their Manila call center 2. An ancient plane, cramped seating, wretched food. 3. An hour late departing JFK & arriving CDG so right in the middle of Paris rush hour !!"
Plussat: "When we arrived, we found the plane was changed, and our seats were in the middle, and separated. We had paid extra to have window seats.. After speaking to one of the gate attendant ( Arturo ), he went out of his way to accommodate us, and we ended up with great seats. Friendly and accommodating crew! ."

Miinukset: "We had a 8 hour delay in Lima and the customer service was terrible. I did not know what was going on for hours on end and they keep giving all the passengers the loop around. I work in the hospitality industry and this isn't the way to treat your paying customers"

Miinukset: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."
Plussat: "Entertainment package at your seat was easy to use and had a wide variety of movies, music, etc. to please anyone. Plane was new and everything worked. Arrived early!!! Captain was best attribute of the crew."
Miinukset: "Crew seemed to be robotic, no personality, just doing a job. Food was just OK, nothing special, but at least it was somewhat tasty."

Miinukset: "Found out that a lot of Argentinians do not obey the crew rules. Before the seatbelt sign turns off they already start moving to the front of the plane. But off course is not the airline duty to teach manners."

Plussat: "Nothing special. Horrible food (the worst in years). Cabin crew try to manage but a refurbished plane doesn't justify more than double for a substandard bussines class."

Miinukset: "Flight was delayed 4 hours so we missed our connection. The entertainment system was down during the flight and all they did was apologized over the speaker. There was no rep waiting to help upset customers so we had to wait TWO hours in line as there were only 2 girls at the counter when there are 6 counters. They were completely unapologetic and although they set us up on another airline to fly back, the whole experience was completely unsettling. AVIANCA NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!"

Miinukset: "The weather was bad in Dallas preventing our landing. Our plane had to be diverted to be refueled which caused us to miss our connecting flight. There was no one at the counter to help us, but one of the crew told us to call the 800 number which told us our connecting flight was in the air. When we finally found someone to help us, they rescheduled us for the next flight out 11 hours later. When we asked about accommodations, we were told there would be none since it was weather related. Then we were told we could "look for a cot", but she didn't know where any cots were."

Rather book cheaper airlines and know what to expect than pay a premium and get even less than the low cost option. Boarding staff was rude pushing people etc"

Miinukset: "It took two hours to check my bag at the airport. The plane engine needed to be jump started, and I missed my connection flight to Paris. I had to spend an entire day stuck in Toronto, sick from terrible Hotel and airport food, cheap vouchers for terrible food, I missed my traveling companion who made the flight to Paris. I left my hat on the plane after the terrible flight in which they refused us any basic courtesies for the numerous passengers who were about to be stranded, and then the grooming crew kept my hat instead of turning it in to lost and found. Best part? Customer service told me that since I booked via Kayak, that I was not a valued customer and that they would not extend any courtesies to me for destroying my work trip itinerary."
Plussat: "The flight attendants were very pleasant and helpful. My entertainment app was not letting me play a movies so they gave me a tablet for free. I thought that was very nice customer service."
Miinukset: "Nor enough moxie choices and mostly old ones. The exact same ones were playing on my return flight. The food options were not great. Not enough of a selection. Also my daughter and I were assigned seats apart and I felt not enough was done to help us sit together. We had to handle it ourselves once on the plane."

Plussat: "The most important thing of course is that we arrived safely of course. The plane was clean, the staff members were polite."
Miinukset: "The seats were so small and terribly uncomfortable. I looked it up and it seems they are some of the smallest seats in the industry. They packed the dreamliner with more seats than it was meant for, making it really cramped for an international flight. Most people had to sit with their feet in their chair because it was so uncomfortable, and my knees were jammed up into the back of the seat in front if I put them down. And I'm only 5'7" so I can't imagine what it would be like for people 6' and above. The seats are hard, narrow and sloped at an odd angle. The bathroom design is poor - the lids of the toilets will NOT stay up and come crashing down on your back when you sit down (disgusting!!). I tried 4 toilets before I could find one that worked without the loose lid. Also the food was really inferior. It is the worst food I have had on an international flight, and I have flown many trips including Delta, Emirates, British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, etc. There was also a much smaller movie selection than I am used to. Overall it seemed like a budget airline and was one of my least comfortable trips."

Miinukset: "I as first time travel from US to Canada no information given on flight regarding how to get to connections and customs. Unaware of requirements to claim luggage after customs and before security We were surprised at the lack of any offer of snacks on a five hour flight"

Miinukset: "Boring food. Better than none at all, I suppose. I had the vegan option. Perhaps they are trying to discourage vegetarians from eating on the plane at all? It took half an hour on the phone to even arrange it."
Miinukset: "Check in process was slow and messy. Check in clerk I felt with was borderline rude. May want to consider a check in kiosk to speed things up. I stood in line for almost 40 minutes waiting to check in before I pulled out my phone and checked in online at that point I was only half way through the line. If the flight hadn't been delayed I might have missed it. Additionally once boarded the cabin door was closed the second the last person entered the plane. An announcement was made that we couldn't leave till everyone was in their seats. But enough time had not been given to the passengers to even get down the aisle before such a snippy comment about needing everybody seated was made."

Miinukset: "that people can recline their seats in coach. very uncomfortable and there's really not enough room to do this."
Miinukset: "My flight and itinerary was cancelled due to the booking staff i planned my travel arrangements for to Mexico. They cancelled the round trip flights i had departing from vancouver to mexico and back so i never was able to use this flight to Vancouver and now will just have a credit there until used. can provide a better rating once i am able to use the flight."

Miinukset: "Flight boarded late and then was delayed on the tarmac for an hour to unload baggage for passengers that did not make the flight due to security/customs. Minimal legroom"

Plussat: "The flight was smooth despite prior warning from the pilot of possible turbulance.The flight attendants were generally friendly and helpful."

Plussat: "Although I didn't have a seat assignment when I went to the airport I was treated very politely and given my choice of seats."
Miinukset: "My first message was to advise me my flight was 2 hours & 45 minutes late 2 hours before I was to go to the airport. My seat light switch didn't function neither did the jack on the entertainment system (unless one held it in exactly the right way while watching. I lasted 1 1/2 hours before I gave up. So I spent 2 hours dealing with being able to fly with Air Canada before I even got on the plane. I'm switching."

Miinukset: "air canada overbooks their flights....consequently, i wasn't able to be on the flight that i had booked with kayak. they have flex seating which gives business people who fly alot preference to change their flights at a moment's notice. bad policy for the rest of us."

Miinukset: "The AirEuropa App, doesn’t work very well with IPhone, getting constantly error signs. I decided to change my seat after getting the boarding pass, but it was impossible. The app didn’t allow me."
Miinukset: "If Air Europa are going to charge customers $150 per bag for long haul international flights, they should mention that when the customer buy the ticket. Was a disgrace and their customer service was non-existent."
Miinukset: "The hidden baggage fees was a surprise when checking in. I have never not been allowed one check in bag for an flight from Europe to the US. The crew did what was needed but made you feel like they were doing you a favour by showing up for work. Other airlines such as emirates, ethiad, virgin Australia all make a person feel welcome with great attention to detail international flight from Europe to the US. I will never fly air Europa again as I feel they are dishonest. The charge for the headphones is ridiculous when the entertainment is limited (most tv series will have one episode and the shows are old) The food was sub par. The sandwich with one sliver of ham was pathetic and the main meal was lacking with only chicken and rice, a small desert, no fruit/ salad and or crackers with cheese which is the norm on international flights."
Miinukset: "Kayak listing did not specify that luggage was not included in quoted price and had to pay $150 for each piece of luggage per leg."

Miinukset: "I was ticketed on AirFrance/Delta, but I guess they are a part of Skyteam and the plane was Air Europa Old decrepit aircraft, that had years of accumulated dirt between seats and such No personal TV screens Food was as bad as it gets for the snack, though the main meal was as they all are except more frugal. Headphones were available for 3 euros- never had that occur on an international flight. I will always ask if my ticket includes Air Europa as an operator and avoid them if that is the case"

Miinukset: "Some of the crew lacks interpersonal relations and after some time they stoped their rounds. The flight office said there are 3 meals and we have been served barely 2. One hot meal and one piece of brad after. They gave others snacks but didnt offered to all the same."

Miinukset: "cramped chairs and an attached box under my seat limiting foot space. Also i didn't like having to plug into their wifi and pay a fee.so i didn't use it. couldn't figure it out either since my phone had been stolen at the MAD airport and all I had was a kindle fire."

Miinukset: "Red-eye flight, econ seat uncomfortable for sleeping. Fewer entertainment options than other airlines"
Plussat: "The staff were friendly, 1 woman went out of her way to help everyone. The plane was clean, bathrooms also, seats were roomy enough. Plane felt like it may be a newer one."
Miinukset: "You had to pay for all food and drink. No complimentary anything offered, even water."
Miinukset: "Food was paid although it was not a surprise. We did not have anything so can't really judge here? No onboard entertainment."

Miinukset: "1.5 hrs delay in arrival. there were 9 people at the departure gate. The plane was at the gate two hours before departure; but the flight is delayed due to 'late arrival' of the equipment??? Air bus 330, circa 1970. toilets were worn out; tv screens were flickering (can't even see what's on the screen on the walls), wifi cutting in and out, meal was poor; main dish, bread and desert, that's it. In Madrid, after the flight from Zurich landing in terminal E, it was a 45 min walk to terminal A, international terminal. No bus, no assistance, no one to ask how to get there if one is in a hurry. no info desks to be found anywhere. I can't even imagine for a disabled person. THe airport crew with a cart would not give a ride to an old lady with cain. Wow. It is the worst airport anywhere I have flown out of. The check in process was less than good or efficient. I would not fly this airline nor connect through Madrid."
Miinukset: "More than 4 hours delay and nobody was able to tell us anything, nobody was updated in the gate, terrible information and service, Internet service was terrible, the only quick procedure was to charge my credit card, after this terrible reception"

Miinukset: "My flight was changed twice after I purchased it and it was delay over two hours. When it finally was time to"board" we found ourselves getting into a packed bus where we needed to stand to get to the actual plain. They never anouced it as such, elder people that night were struggling without previous notice. Very unprofessional and insensitive airline. Never again."
Plussat: "I book this flight 1 hour before take off because TAP Portugal screw me over and didn't want to put me on the next flight since I missed my first one because of a delay due to the storm in another airport. SCREW TAP PORTUGAL NEVER FLY WITH THEM:"
Miinukset: "The boarding procedure need to improve."

Miinukset: "The food quality was pretty bad. Also, they would make you start the line to board, but we wouldn't start boarding for another 15 minutes, so the lines took extremely long."

Miinukset: "NO way to fly overseas. I am a 5´0 ft petite woman and I barely had enough room to in my seat, let alone trying to sleep. The window seat was in economy so I did not expect much but I did not expect to have the person in front me in my lap when they put their chair back. The movie player also did not work: sound going in andout, turning off, pausing- it was irritating."
Plussat: "Two meals provided was nice. That's different for an overnight flight."
Miinukset: "The air conditioning want working, or want on most of the flight. Miserable. Combined with a broken headrest on my seat, and being cramped up, it was one of the most uncomfortable flights i have been on in a long time."

Miinukset: "The time allotted at the MAD airport for connection was tight ... a LONG way to walk with a carry on bag and through lines of people. Need to make flyers over 65 aware of that ...."
Miinukset: "Very old plain for a 13 hour trip... It was a very painfull trip. The entertainment was poor and from my seat I couldn't see a thing! The crew elas not very strick considering rules: I was forced to warn a passenger to turn off his Phone when we had already took off. He was in a call for almost 15 minuts since we turn on our seat belts!"
