At one point I requested bread and butter, the flight attendant seemed annoyed and said if she can find some, and never came back to me. I went to the galley, where a male flight attendant was working on something. I requested some bread and butter from him, was met with s smile, and was able to locate a roll and butter for me in under a min. Please note, I do not think this was a gender issues, it just happens to be the situation with this case, and I specified it as I do not know the names of the flight attendants, but the airline should be able to identify who was working the different sections."

We ended up stranded in Istanbul. The Turkish Airlines representatives were very rude and not helpful at all. They told me that we needed to purchase new tickets. My 14 year old and I were in Istanbul, Turkey with no way home. After hours on the phone with their customer service and many repeated phone calls and many collect phone calls to the United States, my mother was finally able to secure new plane tickets for $2000 one way for us to return to the states. We were in the airport for 24 hours before we could board a flight to make our way home. A few days after we arrived back is when the terrorist attacks occurred. I have been plagued with flashbacks of our time in the Istanbul airport. I feel that Turkish Airlines could have done a better job at trying to accommodate us in a time of desperation. I have been reluctant to contact them upon my return and a friend offered to call on my behalf and was treated in the same disrespectful manner. I would hate to think that Turkish Airlines could be representative of the people of Turkey. I can't imagine that Turkey or the citizens of this beautiful country could treat visitors in such a fashion. I appreciate your time in reading about our personal and devastating experiences during our trip that was to have been the trip of a lifetime with my son."

I along with other passengers were stacked in dorm style non barricaded rooms in 1.5ft wide beds like animals. It was in total poor taste. Half the Turkish Air employees I approached at the Airport for help with directions and clarifications were dismissive to the point of being obnoxious. Walking through the airport, all I could think was what a disorganized and hard to navigate airport it was. It was an unpleasant experience and I will never recommend Turkish Airline to anyone. It was my first Turkish air, and it will be my last."

But when we tried to sleep, our fellow passengers came and stood at our feet and talked so loudly that we could not possibly sleep. They stayed there for more than an hour. Would have loved for the staff to maybe ask them to tone it down, if not move."

Plussat: "I'm not sure since I slept through most of the 90 minute flight, which is a good sign, I guess. It was an older plane with no entertainment system, but I hate those things, so fine by me. I missed the food this time around, but it was a crappy cold sandwich when I took the same flight a few weeks earlier, but it's a 90 minute flight, so what do you expect?"
Miinukset: "The boarding process was pointless While this is a quirk of the airport, the airline should change their procedure for this scenario. LATAM splits passengers into different groups: first class, special needs, priority because you paid, everybody else. That's fine at most airports. At Santiago's airport, however, passengers ride a bus from the gate to the plane, mixing up all the groups on the bus, so what's the point? Worse, special needs passengers were the first to get on the bus, but end up last to get off screwing over the elderly and those with small children. What a system!"

Miinukset: "Entertainment — too limited, not enough choices, interface/system is outdated. Terrible service — no food service for entire first part of flight. Cancelled meal because of turbulence."
Miinukset: "The check-in and boarding process was chaotic. Only one check-in station accepted credit cards to pay for check bags, creating a long delay when the printer broke."

Miinukset: "I've flown a lot of different business class flights in my time and these are the narrowest I've ever seen. I am not overweight but I felt very restricted in these seats. Add to the narrow seats is the design of the seat and armrests themselves and you don't have much space at all. No way I was going to be able to work on my laptop in this LATAM business class seat."
Miinukset: "Disaster started at noon of the day of flight. Got notification flight delayed by 2 hours. That means I miss my coonection. Options for changes meant getting to destination 24 hours a later or with extra stop. I managed to buy a much better direct flight same day from different airline. And cheaper. I was so lucky. Getting refund for this disaster itinerary. But it worked out in the end."

I was to continue on the same plane from Miami and Lima to Buenos Aires, however, nobody mentioned I could stay on the same aircraft, so they made me go off the plane out the arriving area hall, again through security, which was a hassle, almost forgot my wrist watch..... all that to end up in the same gate to board the same plane. a total waste of time and energy...."

Miinukset: "When I arrived, my luggage did not make the connecting flight. It was tracked down and hopefully will make it to me soon but you can see how it’s inconvenient. The first leg of my flight was operated by Wamos, though it was a LATAM flight. I know that this is something that happens often for all sorts of reasons, however I can’t help but think it had something to do with the transition of my luggage from one flight to the next. My flights home are similar ( One leg of it being operated by another airline) and needless to say I’m a bit nervous about that."
Plussat: "The entertainment system is exceptional. The food, in my opinion, has always been good. I've flown Lan Airlines since before the merger for at least a decade. The crew was efficient, in particular given the size of the flight."
Miinukset: "Oddly, the seats were slightly less comfortable on this larger jet than on the LATAM flight from Santiago to Lima which was a smaller jet with one aisle and 3 seats per row."

Miinukset: "Latam The website of Latam is useless. The services for people in broadcoast is so difficult that almost impossible (email, facebook, telephone, etc) In my case, i was in Africa and couldn´t change my ticket. My brother had to change it from Argentina."

Miinukset: "The flight was cancelled, we were reassigned to a Turkish Airlines flight that departed more than 6 hours later than our cancelled flight, we were given lunch but at a fast food restaurant even when we had to carry along all our luggage (super un-practical). And searching for info on twitter I found out this flight gets cancelled quite a lot."

Plane left two hours late - I missed my connection. Was given a stipend for an overnight stay, but no explanation was given about the delay. Staff couldn't tell me if my checked baggage was on the plane the next morning. I probably won't fly Air Canada again."

Miinukset: "Over 4 hour flight. No food (not even pretzels). A few old movies. Flight delay with no communication. I only noticed when I was checking in at the kiosk and noticed that my one hour layover was now a 5 minute layover. Rebooked. When I arrived at destination, no notice that next flight was delayed, even though it was over 3 hours late. Thought I only had 1 hour to go through US immigrations and customs. Ran to the other end of the airport to be on time. Aircraft wasn't even at airport and flight was over 3 hours late. They couldn't have posted that so we didn't have to run across the airport? Changed gates, but no announcement. One other flyer was looking at the board and called out to the group waiting that there was a gate change. Left Vancouver at 8:00 am, arrived in Boston at 1:30 am. Won't fly with Air Canada again."

Once we got to our destination, only one of two bags was with us. the airline won't even deliver the missing bag to us. they will only get it to the destination airport if they can find it."

And I have yet to hear from anyone with Ethiopian Airlines, only representatives from Madrid airport."

I had an issue with my tv screen and was not able to use the in flight entertainment I am very dissatisfied with such poor care and professionalism from your staff. This was something that should not have taken 45 min to get solved and even worse despite the call light being on multiple flight attendants walked by and did not even bother to question why the call light was on"

Plussat: "we had an overnight stay in addis ababa so we got a free accommodation in town, that was so great, a chance to see town and get a good night sleep before our next flight. the plane is big with screens so you can watch movies, the seat is comfortable, even for a tall guy like me (1.9 m)."
Miinukset: "It did took a lot of time since we landed until we got our bus to take us to town to our hotel. we waited in the airport for more than one hour, it was late, and we were tired. but after we got to the hotel, it was perfect"

Plussat: "I like that the bulkhead seats (typically where the baby bassinet is placed) have electrical outlets which I used to easily charge my phone; and that there is nice legroom space."
Miinukset: "Economy is a bit tight; the bidding process for Cloud Nine (business class) has reduced the chance of passengers being upgraded for free especially as a means to reward frequent flyers, or help passengers with special needs/accommodations."
Miinukset: "Besides that the flight was 4 hours delayed and the staff gave different information then the screen, customer service was non existant. There seems to be no structure or system. Gate change was not announced. Staff was not clear or direct about status of the flight. I have had several flights with EA and most have been completely disappointing and frustrating. Forget trying to call anyone, it took me 4 days of non stop calls to connect with someone to change my flight date. Then once connected the credit card system was apparently down and they could not charge my fee. I had to contact the US office while I was in Africa in order to get anything done, ridiculous. They over charged me and would not honor the fees that were quoted on the phone and via email but the head office. Dishonest and no concern for the inconvenience to their customers. This airline would be the last choice, highly not recommended."
Miinukset: "At the Addis airport, it seems chaos reigns! My flight was never listed on any display to say what gate we departed from. A crowd of people boarding for two different planes just rushed the gate area. I’ve got no idea how everyone ended up on the right plane. My flight was never announced I had to keep going up to ask over and over. The bathrooms at the airport are unhygienic and the available food is abysmal. On the plane was better except that the only entertainment is over head screens that didn’t work my overnight flight was miserable as the lights were on the whole time and they repeatedly woke me up to eat throughout the flight. I’ll do what I can to avoid the Addis airport from now on."
Plussat: "That I finally had an on time flight with Ethiopian airlines, having suffered through an absolutely miserable outbound flight"
Miinukset: "On connecting from Bangkok to Nairobi passengers are funneled into a security waiting area with no water, coffee, duty free shopping- absolutely nothing but dirty toilets- for a 2+ hour layover. Bole airport is surely one of the most disfunctional airports on the planet."

Miinukset: "I purchased this ticket as ONE ticket--Ethiopian Air to Dubai, and then flydubai to Amman. Ethiopian Air wouldn't check my luggage to my final destination, so in Dubai, for a 3 hour layover, I had to go through immigration, exchange money, and take a taxi for 30 minutes through rush-hour traffic to a different terminal. That is ridiculous. Don't sell it as one ticket if the two airlines won't cooperate together."

Miinukset: "Addis airport is always a mess. Security check takes 30 mins+, gates are changed without announcements and there are no display mentioning flight or destination at the gate. For the flight, food not great and service slow."

Miinukset: "They almost didnt let me on the plane after THEY messed up by not including my ticket number on my ticket. I had to call my parents in Washington DC from Nairobi, have them drive out to Dulles airport and work it out at the Ethiopian office there to give the OK for me to get checked in in Nairobi. The whole process took about four hours and three managers all while I was stewing, worried I wouldnt make it on my flight."
Plussat: "Friendly crew very responsive."
Plussat: "The comforts offered in business class was most standard. In other words quite good. The food was middling. Also, 12 plus hours on a plane requires a larger selection of films. Finally, add wi fi."

Plussat: "Paid about 1000 round trip. Staff was attentive and respectful specially addis to LA. New aircraft was good and comfortable."

Miinukset: "The food was horrible. My TV didn't work and although I asked for it to be reset several times, the crew kept forgetting. The flight was supposed to be 9 hours, but we left late and it was 11+ hours. I understand things happen, but the crew gave no explanation for the delay or elongated flight. Last, but not least, when we landed in Newark we waited 2 hours for our luggage to come out. We landed at 9:50pm and didn't receive our baggage until 11:50pm. My friend and I were not even the last to get our bags. Overall this was the worst flight experience I've ever had."

Our ticket was somehow suspended BY THEM so we had to call an office in a different country to unsuspeND then we were able to cancel. No help at all and kept dodging responsibility and forwarding the problem to other offices. Would book a different airline to avoid unneeded stress."

This area needs to be roped off to make other passengers walk around as to not disturb people sitting in that row. I arrived at my destination completely exhausted due to lack of sleep. Ethiopian Air provides horrible service."
