When I told them about the price of the tickets online, the response of the customer service agent was "yeah, sometimes the penalties are high". He didn't do anything to try to help. The entire Turkish airlines team at IST is the biggest joke for a customer service team I have ever encountered in any line of business. I have never met a group of "professionals" that are so unprofessional, rude, void of empathy, and overall customer service knowledge than the turkish airlines team at IST. I will never conduct business with Turkish Airlines again and will ensure all my friends, family, and colleagues try their best to avoid them too."

Was told I could pay a penalty o in excess of $450 to be placed on another flight, meanwhile same flights from Istanbul to Amsterdam were going for $213. I will avoid Turkish Airlines at all costs. Customer service is terrible. The most unprofessional, rude, ignorant, and disrespectful staff represent Turkish Airlines at IST. Furthermore, an email complaint has been ignored."

Miinukset: "One of our suitcases was lost. Well, fine, it happened. From Kyiv we went to Georgia for a week. In one or two days we received a text to come get it in the Batumi airport. We came there - nothing. Then next text - come get it in two days. When it finally arrived - it was torn. I don't know who to blame in the first wrong text, I don't know why and how the suitcase was lost, I don't know who torn it, but in general it was all very wrong and inefficient."

Most flights seem to be deplaned are boarded using transit busses - didn't really care for that - but the international terminal was pretty spectacular. Though there weren't enough places/outlets to recharge electronic devices and finding free WiFi was tricky - finally found some in a nice little cafe! Overall, I'd rate IST 4 Stars outta 5..."

I might reconsider taking Turkish flights from smaller airports in future, or taking it at all."

The plane was about 30 minutes late which was nice because it took a while to get off our Munich flight, find our new gate and we ended up nearly running to the gate."
Miinukset: "I, again, didn't like walking down 3 flights of stairs, getting a crowded bus to take us to the plane. We are used to using a jetway to the plane. I realize that European airports are busier than American airports though."
Plussat: "Although the flight to Frankfurt was delayed for more than an hour they made special arrangements to get on time to the next flight."

Plussat: "Using United with two flights a day out of Charlotte. A mistake. This is not the first time we had problems with United out of Charlotte. We missed our other flights and sate still in Washington and will lose a day of our vacation. United wouldn’t give us a voucher since it was supposedly weather related so I had to spend additional $100 for a room in DC."
Miinukset: "Do not use United out of Charlotte they have the worst customer service. With two flights a day you have no options. The other thing is there flight to Washington is so late you can’t switch airlines."

Miinukset: "I liked everything except the cookie. It reminded me of the low quality supermarket American cookies, way too sweet and flavorless. They used to give little sandwiches, excellent in quality!!! A cookie is good too, but a better one would do a great difference! It was early morning, who would eat a sugary chocolate chip cookie for breakfast? But otherwise, I would fly with Lufthansa again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!!!!!!"

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "Delays and cancellations required me to go through security 4 times, deal with 4 different check in agents (at 3 different locations) and 2 international calls to Lufthansa customer support before being able to rebook my ticket. It took 3 hours to get rebooked, and just barely made it to the new flight. Lufthansa Agents at airport were rude, would often make me wait while they did other things, and then just tell me that they couldn't rebook me, and I needed to go to another line."

Plussat: "Nothing really. Seats are very uncomfortable, crumbled together with little space. Food quality is poor, selection of movies are very limited, tv screens are old, outdated screens. Poor selection of alcohol drinks, coffee is very poor. To be short, Typical american airline like delta or american airline with nothing good or special for transcontenintal flights. Does not allow 2nd luggage to check in without fee. For $1000 ticket I would expect more. There are a lot of companies who provide much better service for international flights: like Virgin Atlantic, British airways, Aeroflot, etc. I don't even want to mention Asian and Gulf company with much superior service. Boarding is nightmare, they make you stand for half an hour to board! Total rip off!!!"

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."

Miinukset: "Frankfurt Airport--is head and shoulders the worst airport in the World. We will not be flying there again. Some dumbass at the airport thought it smart to remove the push carts. Took us one hour to get from our arrival gate to our new departure gate...horrible. They need to build a new airport. Frankfurt is horrible....we will never fly there again."

Plussat: "Timely distribution of meals/drinks, uncommonly quick boarding and ... unboarding. I travel with a musical instrument and some airlines want to check it and some even insist on checking it, even though there is always plenty of room. This was a completely full flight and no one even mentioned the possibility of checking it; they put me in an early boarding line and put it in a closet. The way they handle this for myself and the other passenger with an instrument made our day, as well as making boarding smoother forbus and everyone else. Really excellent job on that!"

Miinukset: "The airline lost my suitcase and deliver it only 72 hours later... They refused to give me proper compensation for items that were broken..."
Plussat: "Pumpkin soup instead of a heavy entree was welcome and tasty. Breakfast yogurt portion was generous, the granola less so. Accompaniments were good. Butter was not ice cold, thank goodness."
Miinukset: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."
Miinukset: "Bigger seats the new ones are way to narrow"

Plussat: "Very pleased with KLM - efficiency all round and especially the baggage handling at Schipol swhere I had 20 minutes to transfer and my baggage came back with me to the UK which is no mean feat given the hustle and bustle of such a large airport"

Plussat: "And i got it 2 days later. I had to buy a lot of items which were in my suitcase The returning of the suitcase was awfull. In tge end after many phone calls I received it On the 18/12 evening, 2 days after my landing"

Miinukset: "una valija se perdió. Eso desató el descontrol que tiene KLM para seguir el equipaje. No hay como hacer tracking. No hay un teléfono a donde hablar, la web está desactualizada y con información equivocada. Direccionan a usar canales de twitter y facebook que no responden. Primer experiencia en KLM y no pienso nunca más usar esta aerolínea. Llevar el equipaje o resolver un problema sobre valijas es de lo más básico de una aerolínea y no lo hacen."

Plussat: "It was so easy to board and I had no inconvenience. It took 4 minutes from when I said goodbye to my family till when I was at the front of the gate."

Plussat: "The crew was fine. The seats in the A330 are the worst only to be made worse by NO legroom. Very uncomfortable airplane. The flight crew also closes the rear bathroom off during most of the flight, I am assuming so they can use...."

Miinukset: "The check in staff at the gate could have been more friendly and paid better attention to customer care. I was standing in front of the counter with a simple Question but had to wait 5 minutes before the two agents got done with their own personal chat and thought about attending to me."
Plussat: "Check in was so easy."
Plussat: "The SAS flight was fine. My dissatisfaction was with the company that booked my ticket which I found through a Kayak search. When booking, there was no information about luggage and I ended up paying for it at the airport. This should clearly be declared in the online booking process."
Miinukset: "On the Copenhagen-Milan leg, since I was in the cheap seats, even water cost; $3 for a bottle of water. They couldn't even offer a cup of water for free? False economy. And I was told that I had to pay for my luggage at the airport, then it was $120 for 1 bag. Ridiculous!"
Plussat: "Professional and courteous crew"

Miinukset: "From Helsinki to Stockholm I missed my flight because we boarded late. Once in Stockholm I had to take two different planes for my destination and in result loosing time"
Plussat: "Efficient friendly service."
Miinukset: "We were economy so no food was provided, as expected so cannot rate. No entertainment was offered either."

Miinukset: "Flight was cancelled and received no notification from the airline, no re-booking help... nothing. Had to figure everything out myself and couldn't get another flight till the next day and was stuck in the airport for 8 plus hours trying to find answers. I will never book an SAS flight again."

Plussat: "I liked that it was available for me to return to Amsterdam in such late notice. Got there quickly and even earlier (10 mins) then expected."
Miinukset: "No on offered me anything to drink or a snack the entire flight or even a hand towel but others in front and behind me were receiving them. I didnt even feel acknowledged during the flight. Even though the tine was good, the price was way too high but since I was desperate I paid it."
Plussat: "Flight attendants"
Miinukset: "Hottest I have ever been in a plane (we were in 40G and H) and I “run cold”. We were sweating and drinking water like crazy (they gave us one bottle and did not routinely walk the aisles handing out more). Luckily we brought our own water. Early June and headed to Scandinavia, not someplace hot. Seats were hard and I put my unused blankets under me."
Plussat: "Boarding was smooth, luggage came out quickly."
Miinukset: "No entertainment, only coffee and tea served."
Miinukset: "Check-in was a disaster. Took almost one hour for a trainee to check us in. Printed 8 bag tickets (for 2 bags) and after we complained was told there was no line at immigration, so should be okay. Guess having a 3 year old wasn’t enough for us to get any compassion or expedited service. At gate. No early boarding for children."
Plussat: "No comment since very short flight."
Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."
Plussat: "Alot of room for legs, good hp service"
Miinukset: "No snack with beverage before dinner, no choice of food , On connecting flight Kopenhagen-Krakow only Coffee/tea, no snack again, for passenger going over see very poor !!!!"
Plussat: "Flight was unremarkable in every good way. Food was above expectations and the crew was exceptional."
Miinukset: "Charged 70 Euros for one bag. Expected to pay something but thought that was a bit much. Plane could've been more neat."
Plussat: "I liked that boarding and take off went smoothly. The cabin crew was extremely nice and always was there when you need something!"

Plussat: "Everything about the flight was fine. Boarding, flying and retrieving luggage were all standard and went smoothly."
Miinukset: "I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."
Miinukset: "SAS charged me 70 Euros for a small 14 KG carryon luggage. It should have been free. Even Ryan air only charged 35$ for a checked bag. This was ridiculous and service was poor."
Plussat: "No entertainment. Food not part of basic deal. But was both no problem for me because it was a short flight. On both points I rather would say: N/A"
Miinukset: "Chairs were narrow and not so comfy."
Miinukset: "gate change at the last minute across whole airport, and I am in a wheelchair so it was very challenging. people at airport not accommodating, kind or friendly"
Plussat: "I liked that we landed."
Miinukset: "Why can't SAS ever be on time? The last 4-5 flights I've been on have connected me either too late or just barely in time for connecting flights. Please be more like Swiss."
Plussat: "Quick flight"

Miinukset: "The agent at the gate misled me into thinking there would be no fee associated with a checked bag. When it turned out there was, I was told it was too late."

Miinukset: "I understood I could check one bag. Nope. Checking one bag cost me $67. So much for saving money."
Miinukset: "Discovered that I would have to pay 70 euro for my bag check-in. Not fun at all."
Plussat: "The flight was good : excellent pilot and crew. Good takeoff and landing. Short but sweet flight."
Miinukset: "Leg room is a nit short for tall people. Everything else was great."
Plussat: "nothing exceptional but the attendant did give us some water for free."
Miinukset: "This is a non frills flight and that was expected but I NEVER expected to pay for bags to be checked on an international flight. 66 Euro per bag. It was the first time I had paid for checked bags on an international flight. I will look elsewhere next time."
Plussat: "Even though this was an older model plane, the cabin at least did not feel like an oven, which was the case when we flew SAS to Copenhagen."
Miinukset: "This was a 9 hour flight where if the lights were off, a baby would sleep. Instead, the lights were left on to encourage the purchase of food/drink and airmail knick knacks."

Miinukset: "I was sitting next to a girl who was not part of my family who got airsick 3 times on the flight. The first time I told the airline attendant and she brought a large plastic bag and some paper towels. The girl but her used airsick bag inside the large plastic bag. I tied the top and put in next to me near the aisle because I expected the attendant to come pick it up. The attendant told me I had to take it to the lavatory and dispose of it in there. It was very hard to get the large plastic bag into the small trash receptacle because it had fill with air. I asked the attendant for another airsick bag but she never brought it. The girl got sick again and she used my airsick bag. While walking the bag up to the lavatory, I asked a different attendant for another airsick bag. They just told me I had to dispose of it in the lavatory and never brought another airsick bag. I had to ask someone for their airsick bag because the girl got sick a third time. I can not believe the horrible service on this flight! The poor girl was crying because she felt so sick and there wasn't anyone to help her. I did what I could but I felt something could have been done by the crew. I will think twice before I reserve another flight on SAS."
