Facilities for short connections.

I do not know how, but, rude crew and counter personnel is here, rest of things looks pretty standard without any difference with other airlines, that was not the case in the past

Almost the only airline that offers free coffee and bread even in short 1 hour flights

Overall a pleasant flight.

Plussat: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Miinukset: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

Boarding was cumbersome

A really excellent and comfortable experience. No wifi in my section of business class though - would have made it perfect.

Made me check a bag that I have carried onto hundreds of flights . Caused me to miss my connection in Paris because I was flying a different airline and my bags didn’t transfer . The agent was rude and refused to listen. My mother who was three people in front of me in another line Carried the same bag on with no issues . Be consistent

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

I asked serval Air France employees for Croatia Air. None new that Air France was the CA carrier. Finally found one who bothered to look it up on her computer and low and behold, AF was the carrier!"
Plussat: "Being able to have my meal at the airport before my flight so that I could sleep in comfort."

Poor communication between plane and ground crew. No explanation from pilot as to continuing reason for delay even after we boarded. Departure time, 1.00 pm, boarded at 1.10, actual departure time 1.45, causing me to almost miss my connection and definitely causing my bags to miss the connection."

Miinukset: "The Avianca flight was over 4 hours late. We missed our connecting flight with Star Peru, and had to buy new tickets with Viva Air. We spoke with an Avianca supervisor who told us it was not her company's fault the flight was late. Avianca had a flight that night to our destination but they refused to find space for us, or to issue some type of refund or voucher for our lost time and money."
Miinukset: "The airport Jorge Chavez in Lima sucks. Don't spend anymore time than you have to there unless you are prepared to spend a ton on food and water. $9 for a large bottle of water!!"

Only one cafe to wait in. Substitute breakfast served was underwhelming. Plane was incredibly dated with life vests strewn about/not tucked away. Upon deboarding, incredibly unclear that we had to completely exit and go back through security, meaning we had no time between flights for the restroom or to buy water."

Naturally, we were disappointed with several hours of delay due to safety but were pleased with the service in resolving our concerns. There was no entertainment available on this trip ever through there was a screen for each seat."

Miinukset: "I strongly believe they cancelled our flight due to lack of passengers. The plane was sitting on the runway. I boarded for almost two hours for a flight of only one hour away. They were holding plane to fill with those already scheduled for the next flight?"

Miinukset: "Only served sandwich with meat. No choice. However, unlike other airlines that don't serve anything on such a short flight, it was refreshing that they provided a FREE light snack."

Miinukset: "Flight was cancelled and we couldn't get out until the next day. They did put us in a hotel and pay for our meals, so that was good, but it was still several hours in line and a big inconvenience. The $30 off coupon for a future Avianca flight is pointless since we live in the US and don't plan to be back in Peru anytime soon. I free ticket or at minimum an upgrad on any star alliance partner would have been appreciated."
Miinukset: "Check in crew were awful. Told us that there was a sick passenger on the plane and asked if my friend and I would volunteer to take a flight out the next day, that star alliance would put us up in a hotel over night, pay for our evening meal and fly us business class in the morning, that all we had to do was wait at our departure gate And someone would call our name before boarding. We accepted, waited patiently, then we were scolded for having our checked bags with us and told multiple different conflicting stories about how we were to board our flight, that volunteers were no longer needed. I checked multiple times with check-in crew to confirm that the scenario was a go. They confirmed each time, so I canceled my accommodations for the evening in Lima. The change up at the gate left for a big mess to clean up. The gate crew kept arguing hat they never told us to cancel our Lima plans. But that was besides the point. The point was, they told us one thing, there was a major breakdown in communication among check in and gate crew as well as between all crew and me and no crew member took ownership or apologized for the flub up. And I'd like to point out, this was not a language barrier issue, all flight crew spoke English fluently. One crew member said all volunteers were obtained and they no longer needed us, another said that the sick person flying (the initial issue) was no longer flying, so no volunteers were needed. crew never owned that. they suggested that it was our issue that we canceled our plans. We were able to fix, but incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience."
Miinukset: "Airline is run like a circus, horrible experience going to and from Cusco from Lima. I do not know how their poor employees work under such stressful conditions. Spend the extra money and fly LAN or LATAM."
Plussat: "Flight was oversold so they upgraded us to first class at no charge"
Miinukset: "I reached the Lima airport an hour before domestic flight from Lima to Cusco. The lady in charge told me the gate was closed. I told her it was an hour before and i had valid tickets and she was not ready to listen to anything. Horrible service ! Who closes gates to a flight an hour before ?"

My luggage was lost

The air temperature could've been better. It was really hot the whole flight. No free snacks or food offered for a 6.5 hr flight. Drinks were only offered once.

There weren't enough snacks/ no meals.

As a United 1K member I was expecting a lot better service than what I got. I had to pay extra to pick seats, pay for baggage (only the Star Alliance Gold has one free baggage allowance) etc. All in all with all the extra fees, I would have been buying the ticket on United which was about $75 more expensive than the Air Canada fare.

Upgraded seat was worth the price. Purchase price of food was a little high

Miinukset: "No food included (and that fact wasn't made clear when speaking to Air Canada on the phone -- which was, itself, a whole fiasco during booking). Exact options for "meal tray" would have been nice to see on the in-flight entertainment system."

Miinukset: "I booked through Air Canada but the flight was operated through United. There was NO communication regarding what terminal the flight left from and I almost missed my flight because the board said international but that was incorrect. Many people did miss their flights and everyone was MAD. I was re-booked on a later flight but fortunately I made the original flight because I happened to be walking by the gate when they called for final boarding. My seat was at the very back of the plane next to the bathrooms. When the flight took off a funnel of water poured down my back from the baggage bins above. My entire back, pants and underwear got soaked. It was disgusting. The stewardess said it was most likely water from condensation/air conditioner and offered me some paper towels. I moved to the aisle seat. Thank goodness it was open, because when we landed a ton more water poured on to my old empty seat. Once again the stewardesses didn't think it was a big deal. I feel badly for whomever sat in that back seat the next flight out. I'm sure they got soaked too. The stewardesses could not have cared less. I'm sure they didn't bother to report it."

Miinukset: "Boarding was completely disorganized. The flight was meant to depart at 3:30, we didn't start boarding until 4 and we didn't take off until 6. The flight was too full and the plane too heavy so extra fuel needed to get be left behind, which meant we had to land in Jamaica refuel and then head to Toronto. Arrival time was meant to Be 10:30pm and we arrived around 1:30am."

Miinukset: "The plane took off 40 minutes late because we were waiting on folks: Can this be a normal standard?! The food was difficult to stomach. But worst of all, the attendants were not kind or particularly helpful. They seemed hurried. At one point when offering drinks down the aisles, the 2 attendants even commented that they were going to beat the other cart down the aisle this time. Furthermore, there was a blind man near us across the aisle. I couldn't see much of what was going on, but the woman next to me seemed rather distraught that so little help was offered to him. When food was served, he couldn't find his cutlery and ate with his hands. When he needed to use the bathroom, he pressed the button for assistance but no one came. Others stepped in to help. When asked if someone would help the man at the gate, an attendant rather condescendingly answered that of course, every handicapped guest will be assisted through the airport. The flight primarily consisted of Peruvians. I can only hope this poor service was a reflection of all of Air Canada, and not what the people of Peru receive regularly. It was as if the attendants were trying to discipline. There were no niceties. Perhaps the language barrier was too much."

After being delayed for more than 2 hours many of the passengers were hungry by the time we boarded. 2) The flight attendant passed my row without offering me a drink and when I asked I was given room temperature apple juice and not given any ice."
Plussat: "Wel,l my flight out of SFO was delayed by an hour and ~20 minutes, which was the length of my layover in Toronto. The pilot was able to make up some time in the air, but I still had to go through customs, security, and then run through most of the Toronto airport with only 25 minutes (before my flight left, probably even less because they close the doors before take off). I was off the plane at 7:30. My flight to Charlottetown was on-time, leaving at 7:55. The nicest male flight attendant on the plane moved me to a seat right before first class and put my carry-on in the closet at the front so I could be of the first off the plane! I ran through the airport, customs, security and all. I got to the gate at 7:41. The lady at the gate saw me running from far off and asked if I was Michelle. She was so happy that I had made it and let me catch me breath before I boarded. The delay on the first flight was very unfortunate and stress-inducing, but all the Air Canada people I interacted with along the way were very wonderful."

The flight was 2 hours behind schedule on take-off but the captain managed to catch up a bit during the flight

We booked a flight that said it was Iberia, operated by Iberia. However, Iberia refused to help us when we called to try to ensure we’d have seats together since we were flying with two small children. They claimed they couldn’t see our seats in the system and when we pushed for them to try harder to help us, they hung up on us. The day or two before the flight, we got an email from Level saying the flight was with them and that our tickets didn’t include food or drinks, even though it was an international flight. This is not something we knew when booking, as it wasn’t presented this way on kayak. Once on board, it turned out we had to pay for every small item - headphones, blankets, and anything other than water. Check in at the airport was a nightmare. They had only a few stations open, there was no option to do it yourself like many other airlines. They couldn’t figure out how to check a car seat without charging us and it delayed us greatly. The crew on board was very friendly, and obviously they don’t control the business model or prices. However, we had gate checked a stroller and upon landing in NY, we (and other families) were told they couldn’t find any strollers. In the end, all the gate checked items were released with the regular luggage. Fortunately one member of the crew helped us get through a fast lane in customs since we were carrying a small child. Overall, friendly crew on board, but not a good experience, otherwise.

The service was absolutely terrible, check-in had a line that wrapped around the corner, that took about an hour and a half, boarding began late, our plane was scheduled to depart at 5:10 we didn’t depart till 5:50. The service on the plane was absolutely terrible as well. They had no cabin wifi as advertised, no amenities as in drinks or food/snacks. Only to buy, for a 9 hour international flight! I don’t know how or why American Airlines chose to be partnered with this airline. Wouldn’t it make sense to partner with airlines that provide the same care for their customers/guest? Never again.

Once on plane, all reasonably good until we reached altitude & settled in for the evening. At that point, for some reason the heat came on between rows 39 & 46 (we were in row 45) & was on all. night. long. on an overnight flight. Crew was baffled & didn’t know how to fix. I was melting & miserable — impossible to sleep. Cramped, basic economy seats. Awful experience."

I would say she went from ok to friendly so maybe not AWESOME but compared to the other flight attendants who weren't friendly at all, she was good."
Miinukset: "1. My gluten-free meal didn't arrive. AA pulled the same nonsense when I went from LAX to LHR. It is pretty infuriating. 2. My entertainment screen failed about 1/2 way through the flight. I came prepared but it was still annoying. 3. I pre-paid for a seat which was a hassle because the transaction failed with a cryptic message online and I had to call. When I went to check-in, I had a window, not aisle and was positioned at the very back of the plane. I requested a refund on the phone and that wasn't allowed so I tweeted (as they adverstise) and now filled a claim. Still no response."
Plussat: "I liked the food and the fact that we could have wine with dinner."
Miinukset: "I didn't like the boarding procedure. There was an announcement for business class first, but then there wasn't enough said about the rest of the boarding i.e. "Group one can board now." Everyone was moving forward whether they were in group 1, 2, or 3. It was disorganized and not handled in a fair and efficient manner."

Plussat: "Short 2 hour hop to Heathrow, adequate seating, nothing challenging about this flight. Barcelona airport is very user friendly, open and expansive. Service was good on the flight."
Miinukset: "Landed at heathrow, which is a sprawling airport and plenty of time required for the endless walking, bussing, and subway connections between terminals and gates. But efficient."

Miinukset: "Flight was delayed over 2 hours. Entertainment was non-existent. They offered us pretzels which is hardly an inspiring food choice. Prior to boarding the airplane the alarm got triggered in the gate were waiting in, took over 10 min for them to deactivate it. Staff were seen just casually standing around."

Miinukset: "Poor service. It seems most if not all Iberia staff are not happy to work for this airline, and definitely hot happy to work with people. My kids asked a few times why those people were upset (regarding both flight crew as well as ground crew). Online services to request seat assignments does not work. We tried to get seat assignments over the phone, and it seems Iberia only picks up the phone if you going to purchase a ticket, otherwise forget about getting help over the phone, and/or online (email as well as website). After trying to obtain child menus over the website and phone, I drove to the airport Iberia desk to order it there two days before the flight. The desk manager was helpful and requested for us to send an email with the request, so he could set it up once the flight opened up two days before the flight. I sent out the email to find out on the flight once food service started that the request was never placed."

We found out until we got to NY and we were giving our luggage to Iberia for our connection. The person there said we were in the wrong airport! We had just landed there and our connection was leaving from there too JFK! He said there was nothing he could do and he sent us to the other airline counter to see if they would help us!"
