Plussat: "For the price difference between turkish air and direct flights to Rome, for three people, we actually paid for ten days' room and meals. Although the plane was late in leaving, making us miss our connection (which was only one hour) in Istanbul...but Turkish Air paid for our hotel stay near the airport and the delay to our itinerary was minor."
Miinukset: "The legroom was the smallest of any trans atlantic flight I have taken....and I'm not a big person. There was no early option to upgrade seating. The guy next to me insisted on putting his legs and arms into my side of the seat. A direct connection to Turkish Airlines website would be helpful instead of WebJet."

Miinukset: "Boarded from the front and rear of the plane. We were in the middle, so it was slow. 6+ hours in a 737 -- I feel like compacted trash. Crew avoids looking at you for fear that you'll talk to them. Worse airline I've been on for communicating. Food just isn't very good."

During the flight I was thinking this was literally the best transatlantic flight I've ever had, and if I can make it work with my schedule and cost constraints I'm going to fly Lufthansa every time. I never really had a 'favorite' airline before, but I do now--Lufthansa. I should have captured the economy classes crews names, but it was 414 from Munich to Dulles on 25 May--they were truly outstanding."

Plussat: "The flight attendants were very polite and helpful. The seats had those "wings" on either side of the head rest to help keep your head from bobbing back and forth. There were a few good movies to watch that were current, but a lot of old movies that we had zero interest in."
Miinukset: "The flight was considered a Lufthansa flight and had a Lufthansa flight number, but was operated by Air Canada. We could not check in online ahead of time for some reason. When we got to the airport, we tried to check in at the Lufthansa kiosk and check in line, but they told us we had to go to the Air Canada area. The ticketing/check in process was very confusing. As for the food, the chicken "wrap" was not a wrap, and was a weird Hot-Pocket type meal. After each meal, we ended up having to hold our garbage for quite some time which made manuvering in and out of seats a little tricky. I wish the seat cushion had a little more cushion since we were sitting for so long. Also at some point the overhead lights came on and stayed on, which was annoying if you were trying to nap."

Passengers could not believe it. Tight seats for an overseas flight."

Flight to my final destination was cancelled (first it was delayed, but I did not know that untill I got to the gate) I was diverted to other country (by other company), had to pay for hotel and taxi, missed almost two days of my vacation. On my flight back home, they have lost my luggage... hope they will find it. Now I am trying to get refund for cancelled flight, hotel, taxi, food... I will never fly with this company by my own choice any more!!!"

Miinukset: "Flight was late departing Cairo Changing flights from Cairo to Amsterdam was scheduled at 50 minutes. I asked the male flight attendant about changing airplanes, said our new gate was right next to our arriving gate. He said no problem. He failed to mention we had to go through customs and security again, and walk almost a Kilometer in the process. Fortunately they held the Amsterdam plane because many passengers would have missed it. I did not appreciate the lack of information from the flight attendant, however holding the plane was a godsend."
Miinukset: "You sold wrong tickets to customers. I booked economy tickets but I got Econony lite ticket. Had to pay extra charges. You shouldn’t make money to sell lower class tickets as regular."

Plussat: "The Swiss Air staff provided water and nice sandwiches for us while we stood in line for hours and put us up in a very nice hotel for the night."
Miinukset: "My first flight with Austrain Airlines was 2 hours late in leaving, partly because they mixed our baggage up and had to have each of us leave the airplane to identify our baggage before getting back on again. Because of this, I missed my connecting flight in Zurich. Apparently hundreds of other passengers were in a similar situation, because I spent the next 6.5 hours standing in line to getting my new itinerary and hotel vouchers."
Plussat: "I'm so happy I did not book Austrian Airlines for the way back to Zurich."
Miinukset: "My checked in baggage did not arrive with me, the staff told me it'll arrive the same day in the evening but it did not and nobody informed me, I only found out after calling them 5 times (which 2 times they hung up on me after putting me on hold). My bag only arrived almost 35 hours after i already landed Hong Kong, without being able to tell me when exactly and made me sit and wait for them to deliver it at mid-night."

Miinukset: "Always an issue getting in/out of planes at Frankfurt. It takes a long, crowded bus ride to the terminal."

Miinukset: "Seat reservation system didn't work ,reserved one seat and got another.Food portions were smallish .No internet over the Atlantic .While the multimedia service was phenomenal I guess there could have been a larger variety and more episodes would have been good as well ."

Miinukset: "only provided ONE meal on an 11 hour flight?? how is that ok? people were very hungry. when i asked about that, the disinterested flight attendants tried to convince me that they had in fact provided “two services” -they apparently think a small packet of crackers counts as dinner. shortly before landing they served a stale ham sandwich (8 hours after the only meal). Food quality was poor as well. during booking there was not an option to indicate dietary requirements either. not impressed with austrian air overall."

Miinukset: "We booked Austrian Airlines to Kosice for 6 to play a concert for 3,000 on Thursday night. 4 of our group arrived from ZRH; 2 from LHR. LHR-VIE was late; we ran and arrived in time catch VIE-KSC before it left, but Austrian Air would not allow us to board, despite that the other part of our travel party was already on the plane and alerted both gate staff and on-board staff we were coming and wee had to play a show that night with Arch Enemy. We had to wait 10 hours in VIE & given €12 for food. AA cited "rotational issues". Shockingly, Austrian Air delayed the 2nd flight by another hour "to wait for someone". We had to cancel the show. Really angry"

Miinukset: "The ground crew harassed us for bringing our instruments on board. We fly with instruments for our work and this was the first time we were forced to check certain items and were detained for a period of time so that the ground crew could check with their superiors."
Plussat: "Short flight from Milan to Vienna. Easy check in -- which at MXP is always a plus and a relief, Crew was very friendly, attentive and focused on the passengers and their job. A smile is worth a million dollars!"

Not exactly my cup of tea."

Miinukset: "Flight was crowded. Boarding was mediocre & disorganized. I really dislike passengers being allowed to bring suitcases as carry-on luggage. Carry-on means carry on. If you cannot carry your bag by hand for extended time or has rollers, it's not a carry-on. Carry-on is a backpack or small valise not a suitcase with rollers. Boarding of aircraft needs to improve and be expedited."

Miinukset: "There is an extra charge to reserve a seat in advance. I lost my wallet and glasses case on board. They fell out of my carryon. They clearly had fallen under my seat and likely had slipped to rows in front of or behind that seat. I discovered their loss after going through security in Vienna. Customer service contacted the plane immediately, but we were told they were not there. Clearly little effort was spent to find them and Austrian Airline has not helped."

Plussat: "Only thing we liked was the fact that we were able to get onto our flight at all..."
Miinukset: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."
Plussat: "The crew came to get me from the arrival gate to get to the departure gate since our plane was delayed. It helped to know that the airline was checking to make sure we made the flight."
Miinukset: "I did not get my luggage in Nairobi. The delayed flight that was the most likely reason it did not get to the connecting flight to Nairobi."
Plussat: "Pretty basic one hour flight so there's not much to complain about or praise about. I got some sleep which was good."
Miinukset: "The crew had their general Dutch aloofness on form. Chatted to one of the stewardesses in Dutch up until she saw I had a British passport then she decided she could only speak English to me."

Miinukset: "Flight delayed by one hour which meant I missed by train at Southampton by 10 minutes and subsequent bus connect home. Next bus would have been 2 hours later so 45 minute walk home from train station. Didn't bother with food offering, put off by that supplied from Hannover to Schiphol."

In addition people at info terminals are disorganized and not kind at all.."

Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."

Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"
Plussat: "We traveled with our 11 month old and the crew was super helpful. It was an 8.5hr flight, we got a middle seat to give him space to play and the staff had a lot of fun engaging with him. They even gave him a couple of toys to play with. Food was just ok, but better than most airline meals I've had. We flew Premium Economy which was a comfortable experience as well."

Miinukset: "I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."

Miinukset: "The plane was hot and stuffy the entire trip. There are no longer individual controls for air. It was so uncomfortable and we were hot a sweaty the whole flight. The crew said that there was nothing they could do about it."
Plussat: "I was running late for the flight due to bad traffic en route to the airport. Nonetheless, the staff was very understanding, and called me to the gate once I finally arrived to assign me a seat since I wasn't given one when I checked in online. They upgraded me without my asking... to an economy plus exit row, so I had lots of room during the 8 hour flight to Copenhagen. The plane was new - an Airbus A330 - and the flight crew was friendly and helpful."

I wish we got a crew that wasnt so insecure and cared more about providing a good service instead of caring so much over their appearance. I rather have good efficient staff what they look like doesnt matter to me."

Miinukset: "Flight was cancelled upon check in without any prior notice. Was forced to wait three hours in line for them to reroute to flight twelve hours later. Staff was rude, unapologetic, demanding and incompetent the entire time. Flight was packed, uncomfortable and smelled terrible. Flight was rough, landing was rough. Terrible airline."
Plussat: "The free, in-flight movies, the in-fight dinner, and the friendly, multi-lingual staff were GREAT commodities."
Miinukset: "I was in economy/SAS Go class, so it was nearly impossible to get more than one or two hours of sleep on a long flight, (i.e. about eight hours). Maybe they should reserve the seats with extra leg room for those who actually need it, and have the seats recline even further."

Additionally, I thought we had paid for two checked bags in advance but was told we did not and so had to pay for them at the airport. I was very focused on making sure I had two checked bags paid for online when purchasing the tickets. I don't know if it's some glitch in your website or that it was just confusingly worded/phrased, but I did think I had bought the higher level package that allowed for two checked bags."
