Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

My bag was delayed as of now by one day, maybe more. Besides, the flight was delayed by one and a half hours.
One flight attendant was amazing, 1st class although she wasn't even in business class. Somehow felt others were tired or mind somewhere else, so not really good service. Choice of food was basic, but good choice of drinks. Plane was comfortable and I think pilot was a woman, which is a nice change. Excellent that there are dividers in the middle seat in business class. Corona restriction rules, like mask wearing rules is extremely wise. Other airlines removed it, but I like better your choice better. Feels safer.

The Lufthansa gate agent said she didn't think they would be checked again and to just have boarding passes ready. So I packed the passports on my carryon backpack and just had our 7 boarding passes for our family. Then at the end of the jet bridge right before getting on the aircraft, two people were checking passports again. I had to unpack them from the folder in my backpack. Not a big issue, but the gate agent gave me bad information and should have known we needed boarding passes and passports for boarding."

We were delayed for 4 hours and no one was giving any explanation why until I finally called. AA wasn’t updating the time on the board. The handling of boarding people was messy. Everyone coming in and taking forever to load their carry on. Just overall bad experience

Miinukset: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Miinukset: "When first boarding the plane, the person I was with tried to close the shade on the window, the with frame and the first 2 pieces of glass popped out. We notified the flight attendant and his response was "can you stick your arm out the window and wave? No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

The aircraft was extremely small and a lot of people couldn’t put their luggage in the luggage bins. The crew members barely helped and were doing their jobs so quickly to get things going instead of making sure if clients were pleased as well. The business class section all empty but all the others stayed in economy class all clumped up together.
Every step from check in to leaving on time went smoothly
Flight comfortable but the de-boarding upon arrival at Pearson was dreadful: Crew told us that we would be called up row by row to exit and then did not follow their own instructions to passengers. The result was a chaotic mess like an episode out of Black Summer.
Flight was efficient, left and arrived early. Good selection of entertainment, reasonable amount of seating space even though the flight was full. Only blemish was at check in, where the agent demanded to see our proof of vaccination in physical form (my wife didn't have hers). This was shocking because we had uploaded the documents for the round trip through the AC website, and received confirmation from AC. Eventually she settled for an ArriveCan receipt. Thankfully I had completed that process. Why do we need to submit proof of vaccination forms to AC if the agents are not able to use that information?

This was an excellent flight with very few people on board. Only issue was the 30 minute departure delay and this was communicated well so we weren't left hanging. Traveler communications in Cancun airport aren't the best, but that isn't AC's fault.

Therefore if seating have to be that close together they should not be able to recline. Our flight got in at 1am and because a family member needs assistance we were told to wait by some parked golf carts and someone would be right over to assist, we waited as we saw all passengers walk by and flight crew and no one showed. Then decided to slowly start walking and after awhile an angel of the airport staff, I wish I got her name to thank her saw our struggling through and quickly ran to grab a wheelchair and assisted us right to our shuttle service.These are the things that make airport service more pleasant, for such a state of the art airport the experience for passengers should run a little smoother and assistance to those that need it should be readily available. Miinukset: "My flight got delayed due to weather, and the second leg actually got canceled. I was placed on a later flight that would get me home at 2 am - no thanks! I tried to change it online as an email notification told me I could, but the website then told me I needed to call, which was frustrating. There was a 50 min wait and no call back option, and since I was on international calling, I figured I'd just wait until I got to the airport. The ticketing line looked relatively short, with only three people/ groups ahead of me. Yet it took 75 MINUTES for me to be helped. The people working were the slowest and most incompetent airline workers I've ever come across. I truly don't think either had a clue what they were doing. My agent didn't even know how to view my flights after I provided my passport. He asked me to look them up and read them to him. I had to find an alternative flight on my phone and specifically request to be placed on it since he didn't know how to view my options. Then, he printed me something, pointed me to another counter, and said "I think you're good, but I'm not sure. There's a chance they might refuse you. But I don't think they will." I was like, "Do I have a ticket or not?" And he couldn't give me a straight answer. By the time I left, the line had 15 people/ groups. Processed at the same rate, it'd take over 5 hours for them to be assisted. Never flying this airline again."

Air Canada tries to charge you for every little thing and I guess that I am one of those people that does not appreciate being nickled and dimed. I will look for other airlines the next time I book a flight to Canada. What a disappointment!"
Plussat: "I had a five year old and an eleven year old traveling with me and was able to board early and get them settled before everyone else got on."
Miinukset: "We didn't see much of the flight attendants and my grandson became ill. We could have used more water throughout the flight as that may have prevented him from getting sick."
Miinukset: "Waited 1 hour for my bag only to be told that it was put on a different flight. They couldn't tell me this during my flight or while I was waiting? They said it would arrive by morning the next day. I call multiple times to get an update and no one has an update. 6pm rolls around without a single update so tired of calling I drive back to the airport to get a hold of a person. Person says delivery company has it and gives a phone number. Call delivery company and they have no idea what i'm talking about say to go back to the airport. Bag finally shows up 12 hours after expected without a single call or update. Never flying air canada again!"

Miinukset: "The flight was scheduled to leave Cancun at 6:00 p.m. and arrive in Montreal at 11:00 p.m. It did not leave until after 8:00 p.m. And I could not get any information from an agent. I actually emailed my friend in Canada and she was able to get information online. We did not arrive in Montreal until after 1:00 a.m. The plane was incredibly cramped, our knees were right up against the forward seat. There was no compensation for being late...a snack or free drink, etc."
Plussat: "The flight itself was fine- comfortable with nice amenities and a professional staff."
Miinukset: "My first flight was late then cancelled, then replaced by another. That one was late too and made me miss my connecting flight. I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay."
Plussat: "I got lucky and got a very good seat. that was great. The plane was kept at a very decent temperature - a little cold but not an ice box."

Since, other countries don't do that shouldn't they warn it when somebody is buying a ticket. The ticket was bought online and the questionnaire clearly asked nationality!"
I contracted COVID on the flight, since the passenger sitting behind me wasn't wearing a mask and was coughing the whole flight. Despite paying a premium price for "Economy PLUS", I still earned almost no frequent flier miles, and there was really no difference between this services I received versus if I had paid for the most basic economy option.

Furthermore, there were NO snacks available for purchase so you were forced to eat gross food."

Miinukset: "Our tickets were economy class Y for all of our flights, and we each checked a bag free on the outbound trip. But, returning we had to pay 170 euros for our 2 checked (1 each) bags. TAP (Air Portugal) in Toulouse said our outbound flights were "Basic" fares while our return flights were "Discounted" fares. Discounted fares do not include checked bags while Basic fares include 1 free checked bag. We paid $3,106.36 for the round trip for both of us, which hardly seems like a discounted fare, before paying an additional 170 euros on the return flight. I will be looking into filing a Class Action suit trying to recover all overcharges on behalf of all passengers."

Miinukset: "The boarding process was a mess with everyone waiting in front of the gate starting 10 minutes or so before the boarding time. The seats didn't recline at all."

Miinukset: "Had to check 2 of our luggages, and it cost $95 per piece. Never flown an airline where I had to pay more than $50 per piece. Also carryon has to be less than 8 kg. Our small luggage that we had to check never had any problems with any other airlines about being a carryon but since it was over 8 kg, it had to be checked. Took a 7.5 hour flight and the entertainment screen was not working for anyone, as the system was broken. Will not be flying with airline ever again."

This would have been avoided if there was proper communication within the airline-- an absolutely irresponsible way to handle our plight. The ground personnel themselves admitted that no one informed them of our arrival time. True or false? go figure.This all occured while they refused to allow us on board our plane that was still at the gate and nowhere near taking off. This also resulted in rescheduling our ground transfer, which resulted in additional expense. Overall, a nightmare of an airline. Avoid."

Miinukset: "The process of checking my bag was brutal. It took an hour and half of waiting in line because the staff's management of the flow of people was so chaotic. Finally, a staff member realized that certain passengers were at risk of missing their flight and invited those passengers (like me) to jump to the head of the line. Otherwise, no communication from the staff to the queue of anxious people."

Miinukset: "Oph, I wish I had better things to say about this airline! The person who signed us in for our first flight did so as a "no show" (we didn't know this at the time). That flight was delayed (they didn't have enough room in the plane for luggage and were scrambling to put things below). Once we arrived in at our second location, we sprinted through the airport but arrived at our gate with 10 minutes to spare only to be told that the entire flight was full and that we were not able to board. We asked- how this was possible? We are here on time, we have booked our tickets months ahead of time, and there is no one else here at the gate... it made absolutely no sense. All the staff people did was shrug their shoulders and said that they couldn't help us and that we had to go to the transfer station. My friend and I were upset- by missing our flight we were losing our last night in Barcelona, seeing our friends, etc. before heading back to the United States. Once we got to the transfer station, we were even more confused and upset however, because the staff person there told us that in fact our seats were available and that there was no reason why were not allowed on the flight. However, she shrugged her shoulders and told her that there was nothing that she could do. She offered us a $10 meal card, booked us for the next flight 3 hours later (which put us in Barcelona late at night, way too late to see the city or our friends), and offered us absolutely no help in getting a refund. We asked to see the supervisor and after waiting another half an hour he came out and told us the story about how the staff person in Marrakesh put us as "no shows." This was a complete system failure, however he offered us no refund, no support, beyond telling us to go on the website and filling out a form. Once we got internet, we tried to get to the form- link broken. We called the help line, and after waiting another 20 minutes, we got connected to a woman who said that she couldn't help us- we had to go to the transfer service desk and fill out a paper form there or the electronic contact form. It seemed that every person had been well trained in how to pass clients from one system to another, to see if we would get too tired to file our complaints. No one has taken responsibility for this abysmal failure of the system, no one has apologized, and no one has offered any reimbursement beyond a meal ticket. I highly recommended that people pay an extra $20 for an airline where people are properly trained in how to use their computer systems, where they won't lie to your face, and where they may have a system where complaints and be properly filed and responded to. I have no idea how TAP Portugal is still in business."
Plussat: "The flight left later than expected because the boarding process didn't start till 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time. The service on the aircraft was very nice though"
Plussat: "This is the third time I fly with TAP and they are always late. Plane seats have zero legroom. TAP staff are not friendly and seem uncaring for the most part. If possible, I will not fly that airline again."
Miinukset: "My TAP flight from Lisbon to Madeira island was 2 hours late arriving so I lost all of my flight connections back to Boston and San Francisco. I was stuck in Lisbon Portugal for one extra day - was told to get out of the airport, then asked a bunch of people what to do, finally got in a very long line of people within a very hectic and loud airport full of travelers. 60+ people in a line being helped by only 2 rude counter staff. I waited in TAP member services line for 2 hrs and 30 minutes. They gave me a voucher to a motel and a taxi cab where I would have to spend the night. On my way back, I was diverted form Boston to Miami and the whole ordeal was unpleasant. It seems like TAP staff doesn't care about inconveniencing passengers. I overhead a conversation between a young 30+ year old TAP male staff wearing a dark blue sweater and dark blue pants belittling a British woman passenger. While waiting in line I was surprised to see how rude the counter TAP staff were to passengers who were frustrated that they lost their flight connections because of the TAP plane's late arrival. IF possible, I would never fly TAP again."
