Unable to bring carryon onto the plane. Made us check
No place found for my hand bagguage, the crew asked me if its ok to put my suitcase nella "stiva". They gave me a receipt , the üroblem was resolved even if I had to attend at the bagguage claim in Rome .
Customer service was lacking. Crew members were quite rude when we asked for alternate food options, even though we were asking to pay for food that they had listed in their in-flight purchase menu. None of the items for purchase were even available according to the crew and they weren't the least bit apologetic about it. When they were handing out breakfast boxes and we asked what was inside, they said we don't know, you can check yourselves. Overall, were unhappy with the service and will most probably avoid flying with the airline in the future.

Miinukset: "Though the weather was fine - no excuse - the 7 hours delay! the fact that instead of landing in Newark (my original reservation), we landed in JFK! VERY INCONVENIENT AND AN EXTRA EXPENSE! The fact that in Lisbon airport I had to wait more than one hour to reach the help desk and then plead to receive a voucher for refreshment (left Madeira on an early flight, no breakfast on that flight, the flight to NY delayed till 5 PM!). I chose TAP because it was the most direct way to reach Madeira - but the delays on both flights were more than unfortunate - it was simply poor service."
Miinukset: "I don't think I have ever rated any service negatively, but here's my first. TAP completely ruined my birthday trip that I have saved up for a long time for. DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THEM! I had a valid Schengen tourist visa issued by the Consulate of Portugal. At the time of visa issuance, the printer of the Consulate was not functioning, so part of the visa information was hand-written, but it was properly signed and stamped. The Consulate told me it's valid and said they have been doing so for ten years. The Consulate also said that they, not the airlines, have the sole authority to determine the validity of the visa. When I went to the airport to check in with TAP, TAP staff denied me boarding because they did not believe my visa was valid. I only learned later that this action was inconsistent with TAP's own internal policies. The staff at the kiosk told me that I could either ask for a refund or rebooking of the ticket. But when I called TAP the next day, I was told I could not get a refund even though they should not have denied me boarding. I called TAP many times and got a different answer each time. They simply refuse to compensate me for their own mistake. It's the most horrible travel experience I've ever had!"
Plussat: "Given the weather in the UK we were expecting delays but we were pleasantly surprised! It was one of the smoothest journeys we have ever had from leaving our hotel to getting home and TAP featured highly in this. We even landed 35mins ahead of schedule - amazing flight with lovely crew."
Miinukset: "If I have to be picky I would ask that the crew on board speak more slowly when providing inflight information, particularly when English is not their first language as us oldies have difficulty understanding what is being said."

Miinukset: "No entertainment, but the flight were short enough it wasn't really a problem. With downloadable Netflix and Prime, that isn't a problem anymore."

Miinukset: "Flight to LIS was delayed 2.5 hours, missed BCN flight. I was given a new flight, but boardng pass was canceled at gate. I'm stranded!"
Plussat: "Smooth and organized boarding process. Layover is a great option to explore lisbon."

Miinukset: "Their 11 hours flight converted to 2 days flight with long waiting time between the flights. They also lost my baggage and there was no organization process in the airport as well as they couldn't resolve any problems related to their flight."
Miinukset: "TAP says they're partners with Jet Blue until something goes awry. didn't work as a team to troubleshoot on how to get me to Rome on time or even on the same day. missed a day of my trip. didn't compensate, didn't troubleshoot until too late. didn't work to make it right as a team. wouldn't recmmend"
Miinukset: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."

Miinukset: "The plane was very old for such as long trip. Seats very uncomfortable and no enough space to stretch your legs. the entertainment system was very old as well, so the experience for such a long trip was very poor."
Plussat: "The seats were comfortable, but could use a bit more padding for a long flight. The food was decent, and there was a good assortment of movies, music and TV shows."

Miinukset: "Boarding was a mess this time. The lady directing the boarding did not make clear where each group should stand. So The lady had to send most of us back which upset many. TAP should copy Southwest Airlines except self checkin kiosk are horrid no matter which airline uses it."

Plussat: "Lots of leg room, seats recline nicely, the flight was not full so there was room to move. AC power under the seats, plus an USB charger in every seat"

Plussat: "The plane was clean. The blanket was unusually large, for a plane blanket, so u could be nice and warm. The food was good and varied. The staff was friendly and every time they spoke to you had a smile on their face, as if happy to see you:)"
Miinukset: "I cant think of anything. It's a long trip that can be tiresome. So you can tell the airline tries to make it as pleasant as possible ."

Miinukset: "Uncomfortable seats. No high headrest for a quickie nap. Non organized boarding from bus to tarmac which left me having to put my personal belongings 22 rows BEHIND me!"
Miinukset: "We were told that we wouldn't miss our connection, but we did and had to wait the whole day for the next flight plus stay the night in Frankfort before going to our final destination."
Plussat: "Food was gross I couldn't even eat it. The soup came in a paste and the beef tasted expired, I saw a hair on my rice. Just awful, for the entire flight from Lisbon to Miami I didn't eat it was just disgusting. I've flown and never had such an awful experience with the food."
Miinukset: "Tasted bad, unsanitary. I found a hair and the food just looks like something I would give my dog."
