Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

I was made aware that a Visa is required while attempting to go through passport control. I had to leave the line I spent 30 minutes waiting in to go get a Visa for 25 Euros. I was never informed of this requirement by Kayak or Turkish Air. It was a very frustrating experience and an added expense for which I expect to be reimbursed."

Miinukset: "Boarding was very long. My flight got canceled and rescheduled. On my first flight I had made a reservation for an isle sit, and when my flight got reschedules no reservation was made and I ended up getting a middle sit, which is very uncomfortable for me."

Miinukset: "The arrival into Istanbul was marked by a major inconvenience unnecessary anxiety, extra expense and frustration. On deplaning from a flight from Barcelona, a Turkish Airlines employee was checking boarding cards the connectivity flight and directed people to the appropriate exits for domestic and international connection. We had a connection to JFK and tried to enter the exit for international connections. She insisted that we go to the domestic exit despite my telling her we had an international connection. This led to passport control which had never occurred to me anywhere in the world when making an international connection. Next problem - I was told I needed a visa! My travel partner did not need a visa and was already through passport immigration control. The officer did not speak English and pointed in the direction I needed to go to get a via. I told him I did not want or need a visa but that was it! I started to look for the visa application area and there was no staff or anyone to help. Finally I found 4 kiosks for e-visas - only one worked. 20 plus dollars later I had the visa and immigrated. We quickly reverse the process and went though security and passport control to get back inside the international terminal. It was nuts! The boarding in Istanbul was crowded and chaotic."
Plussat: "Friendly attendants"
Miinukset: "I upgraded and paid for first class round trip but only got it for my flight to italy and not the flight back to miami. Economy is too cramped for such long flights"
Plussat: "The food was good, the crew was very professional and friendly."
Miinukset: "The seats are too crammed and there's barely any room in the economy class."
Miinukset: "The A/C in the cabin was not working properly and for the first 2 hours was not even working. I had a hard time breathing, I was sweating and felt like I was going to faint. Eventually it worked better, but was on and off during the flight. It was unacceptable to let the plane go with the A/C not working properly. They even tried to blame it on the engines, that they had to work in full to get it going. I've flown hundreds of times and this is the first time I encountered anything like that."
Miinukset: "Most concerning aspect is security. Very unlikely that I will choose Turkish airlines in the future"
Miinukset: "Due to a family emergency I was forced to change my flight to a later date and they did a terrible job handling. Would not allow me to change and charged me enormous change fees. I will never fly Turkish airlines again."

Then, when I got back to Athens for my return flight to LAX I found it had been canceled and had to once again purchase a new flight to get home. Also, not happy that Kayak doesn’t have a customer service number to call."

I asked about this , but was gently denied. the help desk was gracious, which I appreciated. I had an entire row to myself on the United flight to DC, which softened the blow as well but the flight to Munich from IAD was great (2-28-18)"

Miinukset: "On both flights. The ear phone did not work correctly. Minor issue."
Plussat: "I'm more used to travelling on Ryanair routs so it was a most welcome suprise to experience lufthansa. I went out and back with ye and even though there was a small delay going out I made concections easily. Well done to all your team . Thanks. I will definitely use lufthansa whenever can."

Miinukset: "Long wait time to board, delay of approx 40 min without any update on what was happening. I believe however that is not the fault of Lufthansa crew but rather the SJJ airport staff. I also have one star for entertainment bc there is no option for “not applicable”- this airbus was not equipped with a television or other entertainment options as the flight length is merely an hour."
Plussat: "Many bathrooms, crew constantly came around offering juice and water."
Miinukset: "Lufthansa lost 6 of our bags and left us with no information or compensation. I sent them emails but there is no response from customer service. Costed us $500 to buy things on emergency basis for our family and they delivered the bags after 2 days. This was very unprofessional and Lufthansa has to pay for it. Can you please help. Next time we will certainly have to avoid The airline as their gate transfer in Frankfurt is horrible with very rude security staff who has no interest helping our family to board the flight on tight connection. Instead the person decided to go on his break right when we were at the X-ray screening. How rude and unthoughtful."
Plussat: "The plane was new, clean and tight. Seats very narrow, no foot room with carry bag under seat on front. On time depart and arrive. Good movies. BUT, where are my bags. Second day in Geneva without clothes or medicines. SwissPort at GVA isn’t helping. They don’t even know where they are: don’t know if they left EWR"

In Boston, the smoothest landing we have ever had. Just love Lufthansa. Highly recommend, this is the fourth time long haul with them."

Plussat: "Lufthansa makes coach travel tolerable. Blankets, pillows, free access to on board entertainment and a large selection of real food, not just snacks, and beverages. All beverages available the entire flight. Plane was clean and everything in working order."

Miinukset: "The only thing I can remark upon is that because someone in front of you can lie back so far, it becomes difficult for the person sitting in the window seat to leave his or her seat without disturbing the person in front of him or her."
Plussat: "the two older female stewards spoke slow enough so I could understand. The customer service rep in the lobby was always friendly, knowlegeable and able to help me. For example, I did not know, when boarding, if we had to show our passports, but I asked him and we did not. I did not grasp the five levels of boarding he mentioned. I knew our group was not handicapped and we were economy, but I did not really know if we were group 4 or 5 to board."
Miinukset: "There was one female steward who made me take my carry on bag from the upper deck and store it below my seat so another lady's much, much larger bag would fit. Her bag was so large, I can't believe it met the standards. On the other hand, this procedure may be the way things work out,for the good of everyone, but it came as a surprise to me. To accomplish the task, she even asked another female to move her carry on from the rack above her to another several rows down. This lady's hair was too big for such a small plane. She talked way too fast in the first monologue. The plane seemed cheap and the sub airline had an air outlet that would not turn off and leaked with water mist. There was an air conditioner that also had a water vapor leak overhead, which my son said was a 'strip' which he could not control. We were seating in the back row. We noticed the plane was operated by Mesa airlines and the plane was assembled in Brazil, giving me a feeling of excessive cost cutting. Also, the pilot had an accent that sort of added to the 'Brazil' thing that he was not a native English speaker. However, he had a good landing at Atlanta near midnight. I did not feel I was on a real 'United' Airlines flight."
Plussat: "Clean, friendly environment, friendly staff, even though a bit bossy, but that's the German way (which I am too)."
Miinukset: "Little space. and NO WIFI. This is really no longer adequate in 2017. In the US, practically all domestic flights have wifi now."
Plussat: "The experience was fantastic, can not critique at all. They made a 14 hour flight a great experience and even a 5hr layover be relaxing. It will be hard to travel with other companies now"

Miinukset: "Service at CheckIn was the worst I've ever received. The staff exuded no compassion, empathy or interest in trying to help me. I had to buy an extra checked bag and instead of giving my options clearly, they gave me a run around (do it online, call our customer service, refund your ticket at our service desk - all false). I did not appreciate that lack of competence or interest and as such will not be transacting business with Norwegian again. Furthermore, the crew on the airplane did not check on me or my row of passengers the entire flight. No water, no cookies, nothing! This was the worst display of airline service I ever seen!"
Plussat: "Not much"
Miinukset: "Norwegian used an extremely old Wamos A320 aircraft instead of one of their own 787s. The seats were not only uncomfortable, but also so tightly arranged that my knees touched the back of the front seat, and I am an average 6 feet tall. Inflight entertainment options were available only through the Wamos app, which could not be downloaded on the plane (and Norwegian had not mentioned during check in). Unless for people with pre-ordered food, it was not possible to buy even water until about 3 1/2 hours into the flight. The flight to BCN on a Norwegian plane was okay, but the prospect of another such return experience makes it very questionable to book this airline again."
Plussat: "The first of a 2-leg trip (Krabi-Oslo) went great. Boarding was orderly and timely, left pretty much on time. Seats were surprisingly comfortable and roomy."
Miinukset: "The second leg (Oslo-JFK) however was a completely different story. The airline dropped the ball in so many ways here. 45 minutes past departure time and they are still boarding people. This was mostly do to the gate agents arbitrarily forcing people to needlessly check bags that would have been fine on board (while simultaneously forcing them to pay for checking thos bags, unbelievable money-grab on the part of the airline). Flight crew made no announcements whatsoever on the delay until 30 minutes past departure time. As an obvious result, bags then took a tremendous amount of time to arrive at claim."
Miinukset: "Delays with little explanation of what was going on. Loaded the bus, the unloaded. Should have just had us wait"
Plussat: "The flight attendants were nice."
Miinukset: "Flight entertainment, more leg space, more aisle space (people kept bumping into me while I was sleeping), free drinks (at least free water service)."

Miinukset: "Plane was. Hanged. I had booked a business class seat and plane had NO PREMIUM / BUSINESS CABIN. I got an economy seat AT 70-80% if business seat cost and also was forced to pay for my bag to be checked at checkin - even tho the ticket I booked had 2 BAGS INCLUDED IN FARE. VERY UNACCEPTABLE."

Miinukset: "1) We were removed from business class. 2) no blankets and no pillow (extremely cold) 3) no entertainment 4) no vegetarian food We paid for business btw."

Miinukset: "Being ignored by staff since we didn't pre order food. It was difficult to figure out how to pre order luggage and food. We flew for 11-13 hrs with no food service. It was $7 for a sandwich. Felt like a low class passenger even though we spent $1k per person(which is a good deal for flight)."

Miinukset: "my group started boarding only minutes before scheduled departure time. Norwegian charges for everything including use of blankets and headphones and every drink, even water. This seemed extreme in an international flight that was 12 hours long."
Miinukset: "In Copenhagen the Norwegian transfer desk was closed and everyone was sent to the gate. The gate staff did not even acknowledge that we were all waiting there as they set up. It was very confusing and a few short words of greeting would have helped out us all at ease."
Plussat: "I got there, so that was good"

Plussat: "The selection of flight time, leaving Boston at 11pm, makes it perfect for a long sleep without interruptions."

Miinukset: "Could not check in for the the 2nd leg, Stockholm to Ft. Lauderdale. Split airport is terribly over crowded and uncomfortable without adequate space to sit, bathrooms to service the amount of people, AC to handle the heat load with the number of people, etc. That being said, the check in, security, and gate people are professional and very pleasant."
Miinukset: "The flight kept getting further delayed but remained th same after the flight took off, then when it was due to land at lax and we were there waiting it updates to an additional 45 minute delay. You couldn’t have updated that before the arrival time? Poor customer service!"

Miinukset: "Other passengers keeping their lights on the duration of the flight. This international flight left at 11:30pm and it would have been helpful to beat the jet lag by being able to sleep."

Miinukset: "I bought premium tickets several months in advance but the airline overbooked those seats and we were placed on standby. Finally, we ended being downgraded to coach despite buying our tickets several months in advance without a reasonable excuse or compensation. The whole thing is very upsetting and disappointing."
Miinukset: "Paid for an isle seat but assigned a window. No organization at boarding. Lots of signs for bag restrictions but not heeded or adhered to by passengers or staff. Ridiculous!!!"
Plussat: "The actual flight was alright, the pilot seemed cheery, and the staff was doing their thing."
Miinukset: "The flight was delayed, then delayed again. I realize this is part of flying, but the care provided for passengers was awful. I received a text message again, that the flight would be delayed further and meal vouchers would be given out. No one came to the desk for literally-hours and hours and hours. People were calling, but no one to get ahold of. When the meal vouchers did come, it was hardly a meal rate, but snack rate. I could literally get water and a bag of chips without spending more money. Aside from that-the only place to get food at that time had VERY little to offer. Then-as the flight was delayed, I was stranded in New York City as the busses were no longer running. I had bought 2 seats, only to not make either of them. I had to book a train-wait another 3.45 hours into the morning hours, and pay for the entire train. All of this was after the flight to Europe had been canceled without purpose, and I am still waiting for a refund for booking another flight after missing the origional connection-considering i had to fly to Paris instead of Oslo-and my destination was Berlin. Plussat: "Free entertainment on a long flight made up for other shortcomings."
Miinukset: "Zero complimentary services included with ticket as provided on other airlines I have flown with. Not even water. The flight attendants didn’t even acknowledge the passengers who did not pay for meals. Not once was I asked if I needed anything, not even a menu. Something I appreciate with other airlines. Another problem for me was the temperature in the plane. I was freezing and could not get warm. The airline required that I check my bags (the same bags I carry on with other airlines) so I could not access other layers. It was nice to see on my way out of the plane that all the first class passengers had blankets provide while everyoneone else was freezing. Thanks for even offering, Norwegian air."
Plussat: "Pretty good but bring your own food and water"

Miinukset: "Late to board with very little updates as we waited. Crammed into a tight gate with poor system to line people up to board. An obtrusive secondary screening in which no seating was provided as they request you remove shoes."

Plussat: "It is a discount airline -- amenities are not to be expected. The staff was nice and courteous."

Miinukset: "6hrs delay, turned out 7.5 hrs. $360 extra for oveweight suitcases and almost missed the connection. I was the last one to board and im the end NONE of luggage arrived w me to final destination! I claim a full refund!"
Plussat: "Beautiful new Dreamliner. Food was ok. Cabin service was attentive and friendly. LAX to LGW crew far better than return trip but overall great service. Entertainment was good but more of a selection on other carriers."
Miinukset: "Only real complaint is that the premium/business passengers don’t get luggage preference. Part of the perk of premium should be exiting passengers off the aircraft first, which they don’t do, and your luggage should come out of baggage claim first but they don’t tag it separately."
Plussat: "reasonable upgrade to business class"
Plussat: "Fun, friendly crew! Free entertainment. Arrived 20 minutes early despite a bit of delay in take off. Cabin light reflecting arrival destination time is very helpful The rainbow light thing is pretty neat, too!"

Plussat: "The crew was lovely. The seats were comfy. Broad movie selections. The overhead space was probably the best part."
Miinukset: "The single thing that made me never want to fly this airline again was that we were not offered a single drink. Not even water. The only people allowed to have a drink were those that preordered food. I wasn't aware I needed to do that and have no problem ordering food onboard (which I did) but to be completely over looked for even a cup of WATER? It was quite humiliating to not even be looked at unless I was someone that preordered food. I just don't understand that at all. Even on a 30 min flight to Akron I get a water or soda or coffee. This was an 8 hour flight!"
Plussat: "The Dreamliner is a decent plane. Food was okay for airplane food."
Miinukset: "Temperature control is wacky - too hot then too cold, entertainment never seems to change or update"

Plussat: "The plane was beautiful and very modern, and the in-flight crew was very nice. Lots of space for carry-on baggage. You have to purchase meals in advance when you book your flight, otherwise you don't get much. But you can buy snacks and drinks on demand through the screen each passenger has."
Miinukset: "The boarding process felt a little chaotic. They boarded the back half of the plane and then opened general boarding. People who knew about it lined up to wait to board for 45 mins before the flight began boarding... because the way it's done is so open. It doesn't create the most relaxing wait experience. But once I got on the plane, all was good. The check-in process was also a bit tiring too. There is no automated check-in option, so you have to stand in a really long line to get your boarding pass for international flights. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to check-in... especially given that there's a long security line next."
Miinukset: "This is the worst airline you would ever travel. I dont even know how they still in busines, well i do know and is because all the fees they charge.. i picked this airline because i though i was getting a good price to barcelona and end up paying almos double.. firts the service at the check in was terrible had incompetent people working and not willing to provide customer service.. they made me paid one checking in back in a such of long flight from new york to barcelona.. only allowing people to have a carry on.. which a lot airline do that, but not to euro cuz the amount of hr. Second they only allow 20kg per bag and not willing to combine the kg between carry on and checking.. and the answer for the manager "go to hudson news and buy a new bag and pay for it or you can just travel" then i found out that they dont bring no even water.. just imagine to be on airplane for 8 hr without even drinking water because they want you to pay for everything.. i would surprise me for them to ask me for money to use the bathroom. We all know what airlines bring for food and i dont think it was worth to pay $50 dollar for that food.. i have travel to barcelona and all euro plenty time and use tap portugal, kml, delta, airfrance, and so far this is the worst airline you will ever pick.. third seats are very unconfortible and have not enough space for such a long trip. Every time you call customer service to even ask a question they are they dont care.. i would love my money back.. i usually dont write review about thing but i said to myself i have to let people know so they aware of what they will be getting into.. so litteraly i end up paying 600 plus everything else i use on this airline.. what this people do is an abuse.. i asked for water and theh told my ticket didnt include water and i had to pay for it.. no even a glass.. i would understand if it was a short flight for few hrs.. but imagine 8 hr when at the airport dont allow you to bring any liquid.."

Miinukset: "Flight attendants did not offer water even once. When asked them to bring some told me to get it myself. Sits were super uncomfortable, had to pay for blankets, no snacks were offered. Flight was late by more than an hour both ways. Had to pay for 1 bag and the weight limit is much lower than in other airlines. Also airport is one of the most inconvenient ones. To transfer you have to pick up and drop off your bags. Along with the customs and passport control you would have to wait in 6 lines to transfer within airport. Staff is not helful and is indifferent. Direction signs are small and hard to find."
Plussat: "The guy at the check in counter was very friendly and helpful"
Miinukset: "The crew on the airline talked most of the short flight, and I could hear their personal conversation. Not very professional. Not a glass of water was served. Only food for pay."
Miinukset: "During ticketing , the crew is OK with my luggage. when we proceed to the gate , the crew Susan is very rude and threaten if we do not pay 40GPB, she will not let us board and scared my 7 years kid."

Miinukset: "It's a budget airline, don't expect any luxuries. No free water on board. Check in experience at Helsinki was ridiculous. Spent an hour queuing just to DROP our bags. This was AFTER already having boarding passes and luggage tags"

Miinukset: "There was a (bearded) supervisor / team leader who felt it necessary to berate on two separate occasions a female & male colleague for things they hadn't done / done properly - in full view of passengers and once whilst serving me coffee. Totally unnecessary & out of order and the reason why I didn't give the staff a 4/5 score! Food was average and boarding quite slow."
Plussat: "Norwegian air is a real upstart! Planes are great and the crew was competent. Food was ugh but what do you expect. Flight attendants were a bit curt but manageable. Flight crew was great with updates and communications. Love the lighting system that does the adjustments. Be sure to carefully choose your fares to accomdodate your meal , seat and baggage choices."
