Miinukset: "Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds."

Plussat: "While in Barcelona, Spain I needed to change my departure time, there was the usual long lines ahead of me when a THY Associate questioned me about my travel plans. I explained to her that I needed to change my departure time and she took me out of line and escorted me to the correct window. Standing now at the correct window I was able to quickly make the desired changes. I was so happy I was able to avoid the long lines. THY is a Class A operation indeed. Thank you, Rudy"

Plussat: "So I never actually flew with Turkish this trip, but I can write about my rerouting experiences. Inbound my first connection to Istanbul was cancelled due to technical problems. Fortunately I was second in the ticket office line and was promptly rebooked with Lufthansa. My return flight was cancelled because of the coup, and again I was rebooked with Lufthansa."
Miinukset: "Overall Turkish Airlines did well in a difficult situation. But a few concerns. On my inbound flight, the agent servicing us was amazing and I was fortunate to be second in line, but the airline was ill prepared for the situation and the agent was being hung out to dry by his colleagues who kept calling him and wouldn't let him do his job. On the return flight, I was frustrated the agents at first pushed me to take a refund rather than letting me rebook with a partner. I ended up having to leave a day later than expected, and didn't get an itinerary till the morning after my original flight. This was all very stressful. Lastly, you have to think twice about flying through Turkey. Although this coup is over, the next crisis will be over whether President Erdogan creeping authoritarianism."

They had delicious olives and cheese on most meals, and the hot food had great use of tomatoes and umami to add taste to the meals. It has been a great experience traveling on Turkish Airlines, and I would suggest it for everyone."

Plussat: "Turkish Air flight from Istanbul to NYC was fine but Turkish Air flight leaving Tashkent 8:15 am to Istanbul, May 29, was terrible. Although we had all been up from 5am to get to early morning flight and Tashkent air port has no services, stewardess ran out of coffee and repeatedly refused to get me, the person skipped, coffee, despite repeated requests for a first cup. Each time they refilled coffee, they started run from beginning of plane, and ran out by the time they got to the middle. Usually if someone gets skipped, they just go back and get a single cup, but this lady was determined not to. Never had this happen in 55 years of flying. Serious caffine deficiency."
Plussat: "Really amazing except for..."
Miinukset: "Stewardesses did their jobs, but as far as checking on passengers at non-food and assigned drink times, they were sitting in the back drinking coffee and talking. On top of not making rounds, there was no call button to summon a stewardess. Twice, my husband who was ill had a "coughing attack" and needed a glass of water... there was nobody was available. A passenger had to go and get them from the back. Perhaps due to this being a 13 hour flight, this is not a normal situation for them, but to go three hours at a time without taking a stroll through the cabin seems unprofessional. Otherwise this airline really does amazing service! I did not realize that such airline service still existed. American ones should pay attention!"
Plussat: "Nice goody bags and special treatment for the kids, and thoughtful that they brought kid-friendly headphones. All the comforts the airlines used to give for free are still there on Turkish, with no extra charges for food/checked bags, etc. Great food, they got our special vegetarian meals correct (as opposed to a big hassle on another airline). Very comfortable flight."

The chicken dinner was delicious, the eggs for breakfast not so great (eggs should be eaten soon after cooking) perhaps pancakes and sausage have a longer shelf life. I also enjoyed the snacks that were available through out the flight. The The flight was on time and I had no problems connecting to my flight to Berlin. The Istanbul airport was very busy and I was pleased that the airport staff were helpful with directions."

Miinukset: "Connection in Istanbul is bad. Lines were long and not orderly. Bad experience overall. Flight out of Istanbul was late. The reading light did not work. The crew was very nice and service was good. Again, luggage did not arrive. This time 2 out of 2 pieces. One piece arrived a day later the second took more than 48 h."

Miinukset: "A crew member at check in gave me stupid trouble about my computer being inside my carry on. That never happened to me before and it was really awful. No other airlines cares how I store my computer during the flight. He required it being outside the carry on, and I still don't understand why. After a while his colleague let me go with no problem. The seating at the seat had some built in ventilation system or something that took space from space for feet and that was uncomfortable especially in the long flight. That machine could be placed way better. For example on the bottom of the seat 28."

When I arrived at the airport I checked my bags in and they gave me piece of paper and told me to wait and someone will come get me with the wheelchair. I am 84 and this was set up when I purchased my ticket. My flight was at 4 . I have waited an hour for someone to show up after 3pm . After that I was told I won’t be able to board the plane because it’s too late. What a mess! My bags were taken! I ended up taking a another flight few hours later . When I arrived at my destination I found out my bags are missing. Again! I am 84 all my bags were checked in . I am not able to carry heavy items . I don’t have my belongings, my medication! This is was horrible , horrible service . Not only flying somewhere it’s stressful as it is these days and then this! My flight was over 10 h plus all the time I spent at the airport that was freezing cold ! Again I am 84! This was a nightmare. Thank you Lufthansa for making my trip hard to forget.

We missed our other flights and sate still in Washington and will lose a day of our vacation. United wouldn’t give us a voucher since it was supposedly weather related so I had to spend additional $100 for a room in DC."
Miinukset: "Do not use United out of Charlotte they have the worst customer service. With two flights a day you have no options. The other thing is there flight to Washington is so late you can’t switch airlines."
Miinukset: "Delayed and therefore missing my connecting flight. Still needed to check in on time as if flight was not delayed. Being stuck in AP for 6 hours. Carry on is ltd to 8kg. My empty carry on weights 6kg. What is next with airlines? Travel without luggage? Stop gauging your customers."

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

I had to go through border control (and relevant queues), running up and down multiple never-ending multiple escalators, then take a train to change terminal only to find out the gate had been changed to the furthest one in the terminal. I literally RAN all the way from deplaining to boarding. It was a night mare. I would have missed my flight if I had walked instead of running"

Also, airplane lacked air vents to blow air around. We were stuck. The person just kept unloading the most poisonous cloud every 15 minutes or so. When I say it was BAD, I really mean it."

We and the other passengers had to constantly last to the gatw screen to see any updates. We were left in the dark until the very moment we started boarding."
Plussat: "Nothing, even the €5 voucher barely got a cup of coffee at a Starbucks that had us waiting 45 minutes in a line to order"
Miinukset: "The flight was listed as delayed with about an hour before it was due to arrive. It landed 3 hours and 45 minutes late. Up until 2 hours, in other words when it left Stansted for Nice, there was no explanation as to why. The Stansted Express tickets we paid for an hour before the scheduled take off had to be forfeited Upon arrival at Stansted Airport, we were made wait for our plan to taxi to its gate, wait to get off and then wait for our bags to arrive which took well over an hour. Between Stansted Airport, hailed as one of the worst airports and Ryanair, who’s cabin manager was a clown, the whole experience start to finish as a fiasco!"

Miinukset: "The delays. The lack of information. It became obvious we were not going to leave on time. But No announcement. nobody told us of the delay - or why. Then the conflicting information. Technical problems. Flight cancelled. Go to Ryan air deal to organise your own forward travel. Then - once back through Police & customs. No - flight going to happen!!! I have more to say about service & crew - but no space"

Great value! Pleasant flight. Much better than I was expecting!"
Miinukset: "€21 to print out my boarding pass. They tell you that you have to print out your own boarding pass when you book on line but since I was traveling I didn’t have a printer."

The only person that helped me it was an old lady! This is a rubbish service I won’t reccomend to anyone with kids!"

Miinukset: "We managed to choose a flight and sit next to a party of 17 gypsies. It was non stop. The kids couldn't stay still, always shouting or just screaming, running up the aisle. Banging seat tables and armrests up and down. At one point a young boy maybe 3 yrs old was stood on the table with his hands on his own seat back bouncing on the table. I have never wished for turbulance and the seatbelt signs to be on, But I did on this flight! The adults looked drunk while bording and one even asked me if I'd been to Tenerife while we were in Tenerife airport!"
Miinukset: "I'm a frequent flyer. This was my first and last flight with Ryanair. It started at the check in desk. The flight cost me 140 euros plus an additional 50 euros because I didn't check in online. I never check in. Ever. For any of my domestic or national flights. Never. after reading my itinerary email it did state to check in online but failed to mention there would be a penalty if not done. What's the point of a ticket agent when they can't give me my purchased ticket? I have to pay you to give me my ticket !!! Ridiculous! Than I get to the gate and I don't have a seat number because the computer said "full" . I get into the plane. It's delayed 2 hours. We are sitting there in our seats and a passenger 2 rows behind me starts screaming because a cockroach flew into her hair (flight attendants did nothing did not Do anything to help her as she was frightened she was about 11 years old). The floors were a mess. Food, wrappers and crumbs all over the floor. Might explain the cockroach. The air was blasting colder than any flight I have ever been on and I fly a lot. Horrible. I wish I never flew with them."

Miinukset: "Stood in a long line only to be told that we had to go to a different line. Not marked. Told to print boarding passes which is something a traveler cannot easily do. Not able to do that before leaving the United States."
Plussat: "Attention. Speedy boarding. Allowing to travel backpacking. Overall the whole experience is always great with them."
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed for more than an hour"

Miinukset: "That it rained in Athens and we boarded the plane in the rain. There was nothing to cover us."

Plussat: "On time, organized and cheap! Boarded from front and back. Great idea! I wish all airlines did it that way."
Miinukset: "seats were a bit flimsy but still okay for a short flight. Be careful of luggage restrictions but may got on with a slightly bigger bag then was advertised."
Plussat: "Once I was on the plane I fell asleep so it was a good ride."
Miinukset: "When we got to the airport no one was willing to help me which ended up costing me an extra £100. I was so upset and no one even showed the slightest care. Im never flying ryanair again."
Miinukset: "Website is very hard to navigate and impossible to get a hold of anyone for assistance"
Miinukset: "We didn't have our boarding passes, so they charged us 30 euros each to print boarding passes and then we wanted to check our suitcases and we were charged 60 euros each. So our original cost of the 2 tickets was a reasonable combined 110 euros, but then they hit us with an additional 180 euros for suitcases and boarding tickets. Felt totaled screwed over"
Miinukset: "Long wait standing outdoor for boarding in covered but open and windy stalls. Crammed to the brim in tight seats. Too many carry-ons for the space available. Rowdy passengers, traveling in groups and standing/partying in the aisle --crew not enforcing a minimum level of respect for others. Landing delayed for over one hour: weather forced to change airport --not their fault, but poor coordination with ground crew at destination and long wait for parking and stairs."
Plussat: "Pilots were sober, We didn't crash...and to be fair, the cabin staff was very good"
Miinukset: "I'm a 2M miler on Delta and have flown all over the world. Won't fly Ryanair again. First, luggage has to way 10kg or a 50 pound fee to check it. Next, they dragged us out on the hot Tarmac so we could stand and wait for 20 mins before boarding the plane. Then cabin was incredibly hot-no gate AC provided. Lastly, the seats were hard like a football bleacher."
