Miinukset: "Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds."

Plussat: "While in Barcelona, Spain I needed to change my departure time, there was the usual long lines ahead of me when a THY Associate questioned me about my travel plans. I explained to her that I needed to change my departure time and she took me out of line and escorted me to the correct window. Standing now at the correct window I was able to quickly make the desired changes. I was so happy I was able to avoid the long lines. THY is a Class A operation indeed. Thank you, Rudy"

Plussat: "So I never actually flew with Turkish this trip, but I can write about my rerouting experiences. Inbound my first connection to Istanbul was cancelled due to technical problems. Fortunately I was second in the ticket office line and was promptly rebooked with Lufthansa. My return flight was cancelled because of the coup, and again I was rebooked with Lufthansa."
Miinukset: "Overall Turkish Airlines did well in a difficult situation. But a few concerns. On my inbound flight, the agent servicing us was amazing and I was fortunate to be second in line, but the airline was ill prepared for the situation and the agent was being hung out to dry by his colleagues who kept calling him and wouldn't let him do his job. On the return flight, I was frustrated the agents at first pushed me to take a refund rather than letting me rebook with a partner. I ended up having to leave a day later than expected, and didn't get an itinerary till the morning after my original flight. This was all very stressful. Lastly, you have to think twice about flying through Turkey. Although this coup is over, the next crisis will be over whether President Erdogan creeping authoritarianism."

It has been a great experience traveling on Turkish Airlines, and I would suggest it for everyone."

Plussat: "Turkish Air flight from Istanbul to NYC was fine but Turkish Air flight leaving Tashkent 8:15 am to Istanbul, May 29, was terrible. Although we had all been up from 5am to get to early morning flight and Tashkent air port has no services, stewardess ran out of coffee and repeatedly refused to get me, the person skipped, coffee, despite repeated requests for a first cup. Each time they refilled coffee, they started run from beginning of plane, and ran out by the time they got to the middle. Usually if someone gets skipped, they just go back and get a single cup, but this lady was determined not to. Never had this happen in 55 years of flying. Serious caffine deficiency."

Miinukset: "Stewardesses did their jobs, but as far as checking on passengers at non-food and assigned drink times, they were sitting in the back drinking coffee and talking. On top of not making rounds, there was no call button to summon a stewardess. Twice, my husband who was ill had a "coughing attack" and needed a glass of water... there was nobody was available. A passenger had to go and get them from the back. Perhaps due to this being a 13 hour flight, this is not a normal situation for them, but to go three hours at a time without taking a stroll through the cabin seems unprofessional. Otherwise this airline really does amazing service! I did not realize that such airline service still existed. American ones should pay attention!"
Plussat: "Nice goody bags and special treatment for the kids, and thoughtful that they brought kid-friendly headphones. All the comforts the airlines used to give for free are still there on Turkish, with no extra charges for food/checked bags, etc. Great food, they got our special vegetarian meals correct (as opposed to a big hassle on another airline). Very comfortable flight."

I also enjoyed the snacks that were available through out the flight. The The flight was on time and I had no problems connecting to my flight to Berlin. The Istanbul airport was very busy and I was pleased that the airport staff were helpful with directions."

Miinukset: "Connection in Istanbul is bad. Lines were long and not orderly. Bad experience overall. Flight out of Istanbul was late. The reading light did not work. The crew was very nice and service was good. Again, luggage did not arrive. This time 2 out of 2 pieces. One piece arrived a day later the second took more than 48 h."

Miinukset: "A crew member at check in gave me stupid trouble about my computer being inside my carry on. That never happened to me before and it was really awful. No other airlines cares how I store my computer during the flight. He required it being outside the carry on, and I still don't understand why. After a while his colleague let me go with no problem. The seating at the seat had some built in ventilation system or something that took space from space for feet and that was uncomfortable especially in the long flight. That machine could be placed way better. For example on the bottom of the seat 28."

When I arrived at the airport I checked my bags in and they gave me piece of paper and told me to wait and someone will come get me with the wheelchair. I am 84 and this was set up when I purchased my ticket. My flight was at 4 . I have waited an hour for someone to show up after 3pm . After that I was told I won’t be able to board the plane because it’s too late. What a mess! My bags were taken! I ended up taking a another flight few hours later . When I arrived at my destination I found out my bags are missing. Again! I am 84 all my bags were checked in . I am not able to carry heavy items . I don’t have my belongings, my medication! This is was horrible , horrible service . Not only flying somewhere it’s stressful as it is these days and then this! My flight was over 10 h plus all the time I spent at the airport that was freezing cold ! Again I am 84! This was a nightmare. Thank you Lufthansa for making my trip hard to forget.

We missed our other flights and sate still in Washington and will lose a day of our vacation. United wouldn’t give us a voucher since it was supposedly weather related so I had to spend additional $100 for a room in DC."
Miinukset: "Do not use United out of Charlotte they have the worst customer service. With two flights a day you have no options. The other thing is there flight to Washington is so late you can’t switch airlines."
Miinukset: "Delayed and therefore missing my connecting flight. Still needed to check in on time as if flight was not delayed. Being stuck in AP for 6 hours. Carry on is ltd to 8kg. My empty carry on weights 6kg. What is next with airlines? Travel without luggage? Stop gauging your customers."

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

I had to go through border control (and relevant queues), running up and down multiple never-ending multiple escalators, then take a train to change terminal only to find out the gate had been changed to the furthest one in the terminal. I literally RAN all the way from deplaining to boarding. It was a night mare. I would have missed my flight if I had walked instead of running"

Also, airplane lacked air vents to blow air around. We were stuck. The person just kept unloading the most poisonous cloud every 15 minutes or so. When I say it was BAD, I really mean it."

Miinukset: "My complaints go to something not directly linked to the flight crew. 1. When boarding, I like to see when passengers are called in groups relating to distant seats in the plane such that they do not step over each other during luggage placement. That is more comfortable than let the crowd enter randomly. 2. I notice people enter the cabin with 2, even 3 pieces of luggage. Even though each one has proper dimensions, they overload the overhead compartments and it is hard for everybody to place his/her belongings in a suitable way. 3. The rows in the airplane seems to have gotten closer ti each other. It is not the airlines fault, except perhaps when choosing whose airplanes to buy...but again, there are only two major contenders in that segment. For overseas flights, it is pretty uncomfy. 4. Lastly, unboarding the plane could also be performed (enforced by the crew) to be in a more civil fashion rather than haveing5 a stampedo - again calling separate grouos of rows in the name of fairness, or simply vacating it row by row from the front to back."

When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Food quality was poor as well. during booking there was not an option to indicate dietary requirements either. not impressed with austrian air overall."

The flight staff even accommodated the requests of a particularly nasty Russian family seated behind me even though they were total jerks. I was very impressed with their professionalism."

Miinukset: "Sarted 90 minutes late because there was no crew available for this flight. In the cabin we later learned that they had to keep their legal rest times. The issue I have, why was there no information as soon as this issue became clear ... lets say the evening before the flight?Why make everyone arrive at 5am at an airport if you know 12 hours earlier there will be a 90 minute delay?"
Plussat: "I flew to Venice on Austrian Airlines to make a connection on an Air Canada flight to Toronto. When we debarked from the Austrian Airline onto the tarmac and picked up our luggage, I could find no signs indicating where to go for connecting flights, nor any signs indicating the gates of connecting flights. I was told that to make a connecting flight, I should go out to the main lobby of the airport, At the information desk they directed me to the Air Canada check in desk, where I found the check-in for my flight was closed. That was the the beginning of a nightmare chase to get to the plane to Toronto. I made it only because of the kindness of people in the check in, security and customs lines. Austrian Airlines should be kinder to its passengers making connecting flights. They seemed to abandon us passengers in a chaotic airport."

Fast, good loads in and out, totally worth of price.
Cheap price ticket and understandable that they charge extra for everything including choosing seats but for 99.5% of all other airlines that default to assigning you a free seat if you don’t pay… they always seat you with you together if you’re a pair. Ryanair literally played musical chairs with everyone. Everyone was spending time moving around and asking if people were willing to switch so they could sit next to their friend. Wow way to make a point that you must pay or else.

Miinukset: "On the check in process we fell force to pay for our seats, we bought the tickets (my wife and myself) in the same transaction and paid with the same card, the check in was made from the app, both at the same and they put us apart (row 6 and row 33) when in both cases were free seats next to us."

Miinukset: "Noisy plane (737 ) and noisy group of passengers on adjacent rows pilot and crew announcements downed out. seat allocation charges are a ripoff - makes the total price unrecognisable to the advertised price"
Miinukset: "The plane being on time, we got to the departure lounge ready to board only to be told there was a technical fault. They knew the plane had a fault, could have notified us sooner. Once on board we were delayed a further half an hour at no time were there any apologies or explanation."
Miinukset: "My wife was not allowed to board the flight. because her passport expires in april, we was told by ryanair in a phone call that this would not be a problem,then when she tried to board she was refused. thanks ryanair you cost us a lot of money and caused a lot of stress. you just lost another customer. why not make it clear that a person needs 90 days on their passport if you are going to enforce these purile rules."
Miinukset: "I had previously checked in on line to avoid the fee at the airport just to be charged the fee. It was very inconvenient and had to pay for something I had already paid for online. I’m very displeased and upset"
Plussat: "Flight was on time."
Miinukset: "Flight to Amsterdam no mention of requiring the passport stamp on the flight ticket was mentioned. On the way back to Dublin the crew member that checked me in informed me of this requirement and I thought she was potentially going to send me back to get it at customs. My husband who had a different crew member check him him, made no mention of the requirement."
Miinukset: "1. We were told to follow ground crew to plane across tarmac and then not allowed to board once at top of stairs—poorly organized! 2. Rude and harsh cabin attendants. 3. When we arrived in Dublin, we were turned lose to find our way from the plane to the stairs into the terminal; once again poorly organized and unsafe!"
Plussat: "The cabin crew was friendly"
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed for 35 minutes after already boarding late. Had to sit in very uncomfortable seats while waiting. Bizarre that soft drinks aren’t included on the flight, but available for 2€. You get what you pay for."

Miinukset: "Seating uncomfortable, don’t even serve water, charge money to check in 3 days early and for some strange reason they charged 100€ for standard carry ones manufactured by Samsonite for international travel because it didn’t fit in their standard cubby ... the same carry ones they allowed from London to Stansted became a tad too big on return . They remind me of US traffic police that start giving tickets on tiny issues st the end of the month to make their quota . Also many people in the line had bags exactly our size"
Miinukset: "More than 1.5 hours delay, they took my luggage from me, so I had to take out my laptop because the Budapest airport luggage handler thieves. Very loud speakers inside, the seating is very uncomfortable, small legspace and also you cannot put even your glasses in front of you because of lack of storage place. long walking to and from the plane, and you have to wait for ages in front ot the checking desk, than in the hot bus down. Overall totally inhuman experience."

Miinukset: "The massive delay, the move of gates to the other end of the airport only to get onto a bus and then wait 15-20 minutes to get off the bus and onto the plane. Even an offer of free coffee on board would've been nice but nope, just a few apologies over the PA."

Plussat: "A full refund of my 120 euros I paid, just for not knowing that Ryanair scams clients who fly with them for the first time, and don't know that they have to check in on-line before going to the airport. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COST!!!"
Plussat: "Counter agent was excellent, friendly and professional, she even helped us get our carry-on properly assigned to go on the plane when the Nazi-like fellow, Ali, at the terminal insisted that unless it fit in that grossly undersized test frame the airlines like to use, we would have to pay an additional 35€, to get it checked. Our lovely counter agent came to our aid and spoke sense to Ali with a verbal slap about the head-free entertainment-, helping to put some semblance of joy into the experience that is flying Ryanair. If I have a choice, Ryanair would never be it. Crew was lovely allowing my wife and I to sit together after not being able to do so online without more stupid fees."

Miinukset: "The actual airport in Santorini is a zoo and everything takes far longer than it should. There are countless lines to wait in and huge inefficiencies in the way they operate. This causes frustration but Ryan Air only added to that tenfold. They nickel and dime their customers for everything including charging 62 Euro for in person check in. They then charge for overweight and oversized bags but these are based on their unorthodox weight and size restrictions. The worst part of all of this is that after going through 3 lines, you then find out your bag is too big and are forced to go back to the gate agent to start the process over. The flight left late because of these delays. This airline is a joke and I would not recommend flying with them to my worst enemy!"

Miinukset: "Ryanair doesn't explain that boarding passes must be printed and that the phone pass is not ok. So upon arrival at the airport I am forced to pay Ryanair 15 euro to get a print copy. Ridiculous!! This information should be clear to the traveler on the website. It appears to be a cash grab on their part."
Plussat: "Mostly the price. I hated the way we boarded, it was freezing cold and we had to walk outside to get a smoky bus."
Plussat: "They charge you 45 Euro per ticket if you don't print out your boarding pass or check in online. What a scam."
Miinukset: "If you happen to prefer to checking in in at the airport, be prepared to pay a 45€ fee.Ryanair wants their passengers to check in online via their app. If you check in via the website, then you must physically print out the boarding pass. Obviously this is ridiculous."
Plussat: "Because Ryan air is a budget airline they have extremely strict restrictions regarding your boarding pass. One in the 21st century might think, ill download my pass online, or to my phone, or even a kiosk in the airport. Be aware few of these are actually feasible options for americans traveling within the EU and may cause you to miss your flight."
Plussat: "We bought Ryanair because of the great price. However, they do charge extra for everything and fly from an airport that's an hour away from London. If you count all the extra cost Ryanair is far more expensive than any other airline"
