Miinukset: "These comments probably reflect the Tbilisi ground service crew rather than the airline, but I cannot be certain. We left the departure gate 30 minutes later than scheduled, after arriving at 0445 am. then we loaded a bus full of people packed together, the bus went 50 meters and stopped. We then sat there, with no air conditioning, no information, for 45 additional minutes. It was extremely uncomfortable. Finally drove another 50 meters to the airplane, and waited some more before finally boarding. Once on board there was another delay of some 20 minutes before we could taxi. All of this meant we arrived quite late in Istanbul and missed all connections."

Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "I was traveling with a group and wasn't able to be seated with my group for any of my flights including a 12 hour transatlantic flight. For whatever reason, I couldn't actually check in for my flight and select seats prior to arriving at the airport. This happened with each ticket I purchased through every other agency except for orbitz.com. Not sure if that was a Turkish Airlines issue or a kayak.com issue, but it was very frustrating. When we arrived at the airport, we could no longer be seated together because everyone else had already checked in online and selected their seats for an overbooked flight. One of my group members was issued a standby ticket and almost didn't get on one of the flights that we paid a lot of money for. I would call this travel experience subpar, but I don't entirely blame Turkish Airlines for this."

The Turkish Air lounge on Istanbul is great and makes the united lounge in SFO look like a soup kitchen. I would fly Turkish air again."
Miinukset: "the connection in Istanbul was short (around one hour), which created the following problem: the 1st flight had to wait 20-30 minutes for the landing permission, and this made us running and rushing to the connected flight. The landing permission was delayed not because of the weather conditions, but because of a long line of aircrafts that came to Ataturk airport at the same time. Therefore, it is kind of Turkish Airlines blame."

After an hour they said it was up to us if we wanted to stay at the airport or continue on to our original destination, with no information where our connecting flights would be. After continuing on to my origina airport, I was forced to buy a visa out of pocket and spend 6 hour waiting for information from the airline. Finally they shuttled me an hour and a half to the previous airport, being very rude the entire time and making me miss the reason I traveled to my destination in the first place."

But flight was overbooked and I got a standby ticket with no seat while my 4 family members, including 3 on the same reservation, were seated. I had to stand in line as a standby, and then was assigned a seat that didn't recline at all -- not the best for an overnight flight, and having planned, checked in and gotten a seat, IOW done what I was supposed to, it wasn't a nice way to be treated."

They were inconsistent in their timing and unhelpful when we asked for help with traveling with two little kids. They lied to me about which desk to go to and traumatized my children."
Plussat: "I loved the ample number of bathrooms and their cleanliness. This was hugely important to me and would be reason enough to choose Lufthansa (and not Swiss Air) again. The families-first boarding made our flight much more pleasant than we'd expected. In all my travels, it's rare for me to have two pleasantly astounding experiences in the same flight. Thank you for your improvements of bathrooms, Lufthansa!"

Plussat: "I flew in Business Class from JFK to Munich and then back to JFK via Frankfort. Both flights were on time and very smooth overall in both directions. The cabin crew was good both ways and all spoke English well. Lufthansa long haul flights still use the older 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement (unlike the more modern and common 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement where all seats have aisle access)...so if you don't want someone crawling over you trying to get to the toilet while you are trying to sleep be sure to choose a center seat (both with direct aisle access.) While not totally uncomfortable, the Lufthansa business class sleeper seats are narrower...less well padded...and have less recline options than those used by most other long haul airlines, especially the very narrow foot-wells. The pillows and blankets could be better too. The food was OK - but not on a par with what most other airlines serve on long haul flights. The JFK to Munich flight was non-problematic in all respects. However, there was a screaming baby in my aisle (Row 4 on a 747-8 only 2 seats away from me) on the Frankfort to JFK leg...which I found TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE."
Miinukset: "What airline would permit a lap baby (less than 2 years old...a periodic screamer...and totally unmanageable by its solo-travelling mother) to occupy it's Business Class section on a 7+ hour flight - while inconveniencing (and aggravating) all other nearby Business Class passengers who paid thousands of dollars/euros to ride in Business Class so they don't have to put up with this kind of nonsense? The answer is: "LUFTHANSA!!! And YES, this actually happened on my Frankfort to JFK flight (LH 400 on 23 January 2017.) I'm not sure if the woman in question paid for two seats or not but this unmanageable kid finally calmed down and fell asleep - but he did so in the seat next to her. If this unmanageable lap kid was allowed to do everything he did (including to use a Business Class seat for free IF that is what actually happened) then this just adds insult to injury. WAKE UP LUFTHANSA!!! People pay huge sums to ride in Business Class to avoid this situation - and it's time you BANNED this situation from even occurring."
Miinukset: "Ticket written on Air Canada but Lufthansa was carrier. Not possible to check-in on line leaving very few choices for seating. Tried to check-in on Sunday for Monday flight -- system errors resulted and phone number provided by system only works M-Sat. My initial leg was on Iberia and they could not check me in for entire flight. Major scramble in Frankfort to resolve issues. Never again!"
Plussat: "Nothing really. Seats are very uncomfortable, crumbled together with little space. Food quality is poor, selection of movies are very limited, tv screens are old, outdated screens. Poor selection of alcohol drinks, coffee is very poor. To be short, Typical american airline like delta or american airline with nothing good or special for transcontenintal flights. Does not allow 2nd luggage to check in without fee. For $1000 ticket I would expect more. There are a lot of companies who provide much better service for international flights: like Virgin Atlantic, British airways, Aeroflot, etc. I don't even want to mention Asian and Gulf company with much superior service. Boarding is nightmare, they make you stand for half an hour to board! Total rip off!!!"

Miinukset: "The headphone connection method. It is difficult to replace the headphone w/ your own because the connector is located deep in the headphone compartment and you cannot see it in easily. As far as you use the built-in headphones, no problem."

Miinukset: "There was a 4.5 hr delay due to "technical difficulties". We had to switch planes. This caused me to miss my flight to Tucson out of LAX. When I asked them to help rebook my flight that Lufthansa caused ne to miss, i was told there is nothing they can do. Seeing as how that last flight was not booked through Lufthansa. This is absolutely ridiculous! There were no Lufthansa flights into Tucson so I had no choice but to go with another carrier! So after a long grueling 4.5 hr delay and 11+hr flight now I have to stay in a hotel because my flight out via Southwest was the last one out for the day and The only nonstop flight departs at 12:35 tomorrow. Thank goodness Southwest booked me on another flight at no charge! They take care of their customers. It was not their fault I missed the flight. It was dur to the "techincal difficulties" with Lufthansa. And every hotel within a 8 mile radius has been sold out. And at one point I booked online only to find out upon my arrival, after paying for taxi and havig him leave, thAt this hotel is sold out and should not have allowed me to book online. So after landing at 7:15 pm at LAX I am just now in bed at a hotel after searching and paying for cabs etc. And on my dime! Absolutely ridiculous !!"

Miinukset: "super small plane... had to climb a very narrow staircase into the plane... overhead bins couldn't accommodate much of anything... we weren't warned this in advance"

Miinukset: "The plane we were supposed to be on from Riga to Helisinki had mechanical problems so they switched our plane. We had an hour delay do to that. Then when we got to Helsinki our luggage never made it."
Plussat: "Nice new plane, on time."
Miinukset: "I pre-paid two checked bags (one each for my husband and myself). At check in we were told I had not done this and we had to go pay at another desk in the airport and come back to the check in line, 40 euros each. I showed the agent my paperwork that showed one bag each--it was not explicit on the paper whether this was the allowance or what I had paid--and she shrugged and said "Bad information. You have to pay now and you can take it up with the airline later." This will be a pain in the neck."
Miinukset: "The passage through Riga airport was terrifying. We arrived from St. Petersburg 6.35 and we left 7.20 to Paris (passengers in transit). We explained at the checkpoint that we had a few minutes, but they controlled us several times until we had to throw several liquid items. In St. Petersburg they had already controlled us, without problems. In short: a sad experience in Riga, which does not speak well of this country: Latvia."

Miinukset: "They overbooked the flight and without any apologies on their behalf or without even informing me, they stop me and my fiance at the gate and just told is that we can not go to the flight I book and prepay 4 month at advance! The only solution that they can offer me was to travel from Riga to Moscow and than to Tel Aviv. It become 12 hours traveling across 4 countries ( we arrived form Stockholm) instead of 5 hours flight as it was supposed to! I'm not recommending to travel with that company it can not be trusted!"
Plussat: "Everything was in time. Baggage I handked in the Riga airport and received it in Larnaca, no problems"
Miinukset: "The flight was cancelled, so I did not make to the my connection flight with different carrier. I had to reschedule the flight and stay in the hotel overnight. AirBaltic refused to compensate for my looses due to thair fault, castomer service is very poor, they took refusal position right away. Air Baltic planes are very old and no air conditioning, avoid air Baltic."
Miinukset: "In Stockholm they denied my boarding to Riga and Moscow as they told me that I need Shengen visa. When I was buying ticket I wasn't informed that I need to have Visa. I always travel through Europe with layovers and never have this issue before. I had to buy another ticket straight to Moscow and wait in the airport for 8 hours. I ask to reimburse me half of the price of this ticket."
Plussat: "It got me from point A to point B."
Miinukset: "Seat was uncomfortable and next to an odorous toilet."

Miinukset: "We got disembarked from the aircraft for technical reasons, then they towed the same aircraft to the next gate and off we were. Delay almost two hours."

Plussat: "They did provide a 6 euro food voucher once it was clear the flight was going to be over 2 hours late. The flight and land crew did their best to keep everyone calm under bad circumstances."
Miinukset: "Flight was just under 3 hours late (long enough to kill most of the day, but just under what is needed to pay compensation). First they said it was problems in Amsterdam, then problems with the plane, then traffic in Amsterdam. It was hard to tell what was true and what was avoiding penalties (it is possible that equipment issues caused them to lose their spot, and get caught in traffic delays). I hate that they charge 2.5 euros for water on the flight. Their carryon rules only allow us to take the smallest of bags (smaller than other airlines) but when I got on the plane, lots of people had medium sized carryons."
Plussat: "It was very easy to print boarding pass."
Miinukset: "The scanners did not accept my boarding pass. 40% of the passengers had to have boarding passes reprinted. It was chaotic."
Miinukset: "Check in staff at Riga airport were rude. Check in Maine issued the same boarding pass twice, so one of us had no boarding pass. Security line was insanely long--30+ minutes! On board you pay for everything, even a glass of water. Tiny seats and the person behind me kept pushing on the back of my seat. Very uncomfortable! Will never fly airbaltic again."
Plussat: "Flight was on time which was surprising given a late snow storm in Tallinn."
Miinukset: "The flight was fully booked, and the system re-assigned seats for a number of passengers. This created confusion as passengers arrived to their assigned seats to find other passengers in the seats. There also appeared to be a miscommunication between the crew as some crew members said to passengers whose seats were taken they should sit anywhere, whereas other crew members tried to get everyone back in their assigned seats. This was frustrating. Also the overhead bin lockers are very difficult to open"
Plussat: "Quick boarding once the plane finally arrived. Planes are new."
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed approximately 45 minutes as a result of late arrival of aircraft - surprising since it was a morning flight.. I am 6ft2, leg room is VERY tight. I slept most of the flight so cannot speak to food or entertainment. Watch out for the fees! 5 euro per leg for a seat assignment 60 euro to check bags."

Miinukset: "Crew was late and unorganized in both Amman and Dubai. Entertainment system onboard did not work. Touch screen was inoperable. We waited on the tarmac shuttle nearly 15minutes because plane wasn't clean. Check-in line was ridiculously long and only one person working. Boarding zones we're ignored a crew member just yelled the name of the flight to signal boarding."

During this waiting period they issued coupons for 1 toast bread with cheese and 1 soft drink !! To redeem the coupon was very humiliating !!! They did even appologize !! On the plane the crew was very rude, after all this wait an old lady wanted to change her seat for more leg room, they forbid her and asked her to pay for it , when she got upset they threatened her to drop her off the flight in a very rude way.... i will never go with flydubai again."
Miinukset: "This is not exactly a low cost airline because FlyDubai charges egular prices for BEG-DXB flights, therfore, passagers should be offered a complimentary drink and food on a 5 hours flight for the price we paid."

Miinukset: "Charter behaviour on a long distance flight? Well that is a new low in airlines. Well maybe except from Delta. I guess i can be happy that the crew did not drag people out and i managed to travel safely. That being said, having to pay for everything including water, snack (let alone food) or entertainment on a long distance flight is at least, excuse my French, a dick move. Not pleasant in any way."

So I'm having a layover 12 hours, I pay 240$ just I can sit in a non smelling place and eat some food. Adjust some of these and would be great. Other terminals have so much to offer in same airport, over rated Dubai airport."
Plussat: "Nothing at all. I've rated the food as OK, but I didn't buy anything."
Miinukset: "The delay. The cramped, uncomfortable seats. The lack of communication re delay from staff. The disorganised boarding at KTM."
Plussat: "The staff at Dubai were very helpful and efficient at arranging for overnight hotel accommodation and meals at the airlines expense. I suspect they have had a lot of practice with delayed flights!"

Fly Dubai flight from Kathmandu was 5 hours late in departing, so I missed my connection in Dubai, had to stay overnight and was ultimately 18 hours late in reaching my final destination. 2. Paying for food and drink (even water!) on a 5+ hour international flight is ridiculous. I don't know any other airline that does this. US airlines on domestic flights at least provide soft drinks, water, tea and coffee and the odd snack free. 3. No entertainment. A big minus on such a long flight."
Plussat: "there was nothing special to like words "cheap airlines" got a really true meaning with Flydubai i will use then only if there will be no other possibility it is not about the crew it is about the "politics" of it"
Miinukset: "i am 6'8 tall so normal seats are not for me just wondering why having a free row ( no 15) of exit seats in the flight from Dubai to Zanzibar i needed to pay for it and on my way back row 15 was free of charge? one way charge one way not? something is far from easy to understand..and why having a combined flights (Emirates and Flydubai) i couldnt check in online? and will i get any response?"

Miinukset: "The flight was hot, the attendants were rude, and seemed to feel as though they were burdened a passenger requested something. They did not offer water to anyone (especially elderly people) when the A/C went out. They also lost my bags, and would not deliver them."
Plussat: "I asked one of the flight attendants to let me sit closer to the bathroom as I needed to use restroom often and didn't wanted to bother other people. Once we took of she provided and open seat. That was really helpful"
Miinukset: "The checking in desk representatives had no authority to change or modify any seating arrangements. Also, the first row seats are left open so the flight attendants can charge 100 aed to anyone wants to seat on those seats. I found this to be silly. Also, their baggage policy is ridiculous. No baggage authorization for international travel! One have to buy it separately."
Plussat: "The food was okay - most flights don't include food, we were given a $12 box of food for free since it's a 6 hour flight. It was worth about $1"
Miinukset: "None of the touch screens functioned, but they did show ads There is literally no leg room for a normal person, but seats still fully recline (crushing your neighbors) They play a loud ad for their inflight entertainment before the flight (even though it was not working) They started drink service and then called the flight crew back - no water/drinks for 6 hours Announcements on the PA were totally inaudible"
