I liked the food and services
Terrible experience when collecting bags, took an hour and a half to get our bags back at the Houston IAH airport. Not sure who's at fault, but not sure if I want to go through that again.
Horrible experience at JKIA. Basic courtesy was lacking. Only the lady supervisor was pleasant and reasonable but it was too little too late for us.
Spacious seating was great! Food could have been better!

Miinukset: "All the food was terrible breakfast lunch and dinner I was sick from eating chicken I started vomiting as soon as I was on my way home , please serve better food , food tastes like factory junk , please offer cold drink and cold water or least ask if you would like ice, all the cups for the beverages was small, seating was very uncomfortable not enough room especially if you sitting next to a large person they kept elbow me and taking up my seating , I was so miserable on a 16 hours flight on Qatar to LAX , very bad experience , please do better, also staff was not friendly"

Plussat: "Fabulous service from start to finish Excellent cabin, spacious & impeccably clean Super choice of food and drinks We travelled in the business cabin which I have to say, rivals many so-called 'First Class' products. The crew were courteous, addressing us by name and nothing was too much trouble."
Miinukset: "Boarding at Bali Airport is chaotic. This can hardly be attributed to Qatar Airways but this needs to be sorted out. When boarding began, it started with "Group 1" rather than business and other priority customers. It ended up rather chaotic with boarding halted at the end of the escalator causing a very uncomfortable situation as people struggled to get off the escalator."
Miinukset: "Transfer was messy, no screens or indications on sight when landed in Doha to transfer with a very short time. Boarding in Doha was extremely slow, some passengers had issues with their travel documents and instead of handling those issues on the side, they kept everyone waiting for over 15 minutes"
Plussat: "The plane was relatively new, the original departure time was also slightly delayed, but overall it wasn’t that bad."
Miinukset: "The hot food has some room for improvement, although it tasted good, there was hardly any vegetables in the chicken dish."

Miinukset: "When flying from New Zealand to Doha, we departed Auckland at 15h25 and due to the time zone, most passengers body clocks would have been expecting sleep within a few hours. However we were flying West and thus into daylight. Sadly the window seated passengers were not asked to close their window blinds to block out the sunlight and many were left open. This made the cabin very bright and a difficult environment in which to sleep. Too much advertising before the on board videos, but otherwise content was good."

Miinukset: "-my seat did not recline, which I understand that I was close to the emergency exit but the person in front of me could still put their seat back way farther than they should be able to and I was unable to do simple things like put my glass of water on my tray -I had a vegetarian meal which was literally just rice and ground up brown mush-I have no idea what that much was -I asked twice for new headphones because my was broken but they forgot -When the flight attendant was coming around with water and she looked me to see if I wanted any and I said yes, she just skipped over me. I didn't pay a few hundred dollars extra for this."

Miinukset: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

I booked this through Travelgenio and requested a cancellation due to COVID related impact. Their customer service was absolutely terrible and they informed me after the flight had departed that they could not cancel my ticket. Worst experience, will never use them again. Strongly reconsidering using Kayak in future given how poor the travelgenio experience has been.

Miinukset: "The stopover in Hong Kong was longer than I would have liked."
Miinukset: "Original itinerary was not followed. Flight from manila to hongkong was late. We arrived hongkong and was informed that our flight has been rebooked even though we can see that the plane was still there and staffs are still at the gate. We were transferred to a layover flight from HongKong to Aussie then Aussie to Auckland instead of going straight. Seats was set far apart with no competitions at all. Sorry is not enough for this big hassle."

Plussat: "What a difference after getting off BA! Staff wonderful, always happy to help and always a smile. PE seats on new A350 are great, although too much cheap, hard plastic on seat back. Very comfortable with great pitch. Food exceptional and beautifully presented. Dim sum for breakfast was sensational. Pier Business class lounge breathtaking, with several large rooms with different food options, served to you - the fresh made noodles a must - and a staffed, well stocked bar. Absolutely gorgeous space."
Miinukset: "Surprised (and first time on Cathay I've seen this) toilet was revolting towards end of flight. Movie selection disappointing, as not many new releases and not all that many others."
Plussat: "Access to Cathay lounge. Went to the Wing noodle bar and coffee loft. Had a good bite to eat before boarding flight running 15 mins late. My request to have my meal service delayed was welcomed by staf."

Miinukset: "On the way to Newark was terrible because of the food. Both dinner and breakfast half of my row were served last compare to everyone else sitting before us or after us. The rice dishes were gone both times when the food got to me. I can understand if it was just one meal, but it was disappointing that I wasn't able to eat rice during the whole 15 hours of trip. It would also be understandable if the row right before me wasn't served 20 mins prior to us, and the row right after me wasn't served 15 mins before us. I just couldn't understand how it was arranged. Maybe I should've ask for service right before they start serving meal."
Plussat: "This is a new Airbus very similar to Boing 777. All seats in Business class are isle seats. I also needed assistance which was also excellant cutting my time in Hong Kong from 1-1/2 hour to less than 1/2 hour."
Plussat: "Cathay Pacific is an amazing airline with the best economy service and best in-flight entertainment I've ever encountered. They really make you feel comfortable on lengthy trans-Pacific flights, and their hub in Hong Kong is spectacular."

Plussat: "Boarding from an obscure gate, then being bused quite a long way to the plane was slow and tedious. There were many queues and delays along the way and the plane was late leaving. Food was not great but we we were not offered anything to drink not even water with the meal until we had finished eating. I know crew works hard but that seemed a time management problem. There is no service involved plonking down a tray. Water could be included."

Plussat: "Had problems with check in because of china eastern mishandling our baggage, the Quantas staff got everything sorted for us. Plenty of leg room on the flight and the cabin staff were fantastic, only thing that let it down was the food choice, but, as it was only a 3 hour flight this wasn;t really a problem. Would gladly fly with them again any time."
Plussat: "Actually had wonderful vegan food for us. Express lane through customs/security. Separate biz check-in that actually worked. Good entertainment. Qantas Biz Lounge about the best lounge I've been in - just wonderful."

Miinukset: "The food is AWFUL, and has been getting worse as the years go on. Absolutely terrible taste, stomach-churning smells and gross consistency. During boarding I was profiled by one of your gate agents and "selected for further screening" ... not fun. No explanations, just surly, inattentive agents performing further checks on items that had already been twice-checked at security. Awful service."
Plussat: "This was AA flying for Quantas and it was all very nice; the taste of the food left something to be desired, but it was all decent portions and we were fed three times. The staff was terribly accommodating and friendly. The entertainment was top notch! The flight was smooth and was as comfortable as a 12 hour flight can be. After the hellish experience I had at both O'hare and LAX, it was a lovely way to end/begin the trip."

The flight was three hours delayed and instead of having us wait to board we waited two hours in the plane before take off. For the future if they know connection flights are delayed they should have us wait outside

Miinukset: "I’m guessing that a great many passengers would happily pay 10% more on their fair to have 10% fewer seats on board so that was actually possible to achieve a state of modest comfort while flying in a 12 hour flight."

Miinukset: "American Airlines won't let you buy emergency row exit seats (or bulk head) because the 'code share' prevents them from advance seat sales. I was told I could do it at check in in Los Angeles. But those seats were sold out long before we even got to LA! I contacted American Airlines Customer Relations about 1 month prior to my flight. I completed their online form detailing the problem and asked if there is any way I could buy extra leg room seats. But they never even bothered to respond. I got the automated email acknowledging receipt of my complaint and assuring me I would be contacted soon. NOT!!"
Plussat: "Flight attendant, David, was extremely professional and nice."
Plussat: "The Boeing 787 from LAX to Auckland was noticeably more comfortable than the Airbus 321 I flew to LAX to start the trip. Food was actually good!"
Miinukset: "For an obviously new aircraft the space between rows was horrendous. I am 5ft4in tall and when I sat down my knees touched the seat in front of me. When the passenger in front of me tilted his seat back I couldn’t even cross my legs! I like Qantas but I have learned to abhor American Airlines (which operated this flight), next time I will probably use Air New Zealand purely because of the seat situation."
Miinukset: "Food service was not announced. Take off was delayed one hour"
Plussat: "New plane, great crew on board."
Miinukset: "seats were hard especially for a 13 1/2 hour flight."
Plussat: "Very upset this was an American Airlines Plane and not Quantas. There was very little room so it was an extremely uncomfortable 13+ hour redeye flight."
Miinukset: "Bait and switch tactics, size of seats."
Plussat: "The food was good, the crew was very professional. The flight was on time. The seats were OK, but not conducive to sleeping."
Miinukset: "We weren't assigned seats together. It ultimately worked out OK because I was assigned to sit between a mother and her young child. They asked if they could have my middle seat so they could sit together - hurray! After that, the person in the aisle seat next to my husband was willing to swap her aisle seat for my new-found aisle seat. But on long flights, greater efforts should be made to seat couples together."
Plussat: "Smooth operation, on time"
Miinukset: "Seat pitch on the plane unbelievably cramped. When seats are so close that if you drop something on the floor you have to be a contortionist to get it, you know it's a problem NEVER fly the 787-900 economy."
Miinukset: "The seats were really bad, it was our first trip on a 787 and I will never do it again. Not as bad as the Airbus from MIA but considering it's 13 hours it was totally rubbish. We normally fly the 777 with Air NZ, after this we will go back to them. The staff, as always were helpfull and pleasant, the plane was quiet but the seats....."
Plussat: "On time flight, as comfortable as can be hoped for."
Miinukset: "This flight was on time, but Dallas to Huntsville is frequently delayed. Also, the airplane is often quite old-appearing on the interior."
Plussat: "Seats are terrible. My back hurts after the journey. Leg room is bad too."
Miinukset: "A couple of flight attendants were a bit grumpy/short with passengers. Lack of food definitely not ideal but glad they could get something given circumstances with health department. Still waiting for promised vouchers to arrive."
Miinukset: "It was delayed."
Plussat: "Made it home in one piece"
Miinukset: "Business Seat power / entertainment system went out with about 2.5 hours to go. Crew didn't seem surprised and they were pretty relaxed about it. Every time I asked about status during the first hour or so after it was out they said they were rebooting system but nothing happened. Finally gave up on it. Was the "deconstructed burrito" supposed to be served cold/frozen? Warm or at room temp. would have worked better Luggage took good hour before it started unloading"
Plussat: "Food! Friendly crew"
Plussat: "OK for a short flight, we were just given water and nothing else probably because of the short duration. The IES is OK but you have to bring your own WiFi device to be able to stream their media which is free"
Miinukset: "Seats are too small"
Miinukset: "Lost our bag in LAX"
Plussat: "Very quick connection"
Plussat: "Flight operated safely and on time. American is trying to be better."
Miinukset: "Never enough overhead storage space when flight attendants bring three carryons and passengers can only bring two. The Group Zone boarding process is an improvement. Captain not very informative about the plane's route of flight and some of the major cities the that we flew over."
Plussat: "The experience was average."
Miinukset: "While the brakes/ tires issue was not their fault, it's much more helpful to post a 2 hour delay (and surprise us with an earlier boarding) than checking with mechanics every 15 minutes with updates announced but no projected departure time!"

Miinukset: "Apparently Finnair leases a Hilly plane and crew for this flight right now, so it wasn't quite the same."
Miinukset: "Seats far too close together even for cosch"
Plussat: "Americans new 737s are pretty cool. The interior design is modern almost spacious. Seat back entertainment centers are like something you would find on international flights. There is even an A/C plug to charge your electronics. The seats don't just recline, they tilt the seat as well as the back. That said, the seat depth is akin to sitting on a picnik bench."
Miinukset: "I did not like the fact that while I selected seats when I made my reservations they were not held when I confirmed my return flight on line. The gate attendant informed me that since I did not book thru AA my selections were " requests" with no obligation to reserve the seats."
Plussat: "BA system down. Najor delays and long lines. Flight good."
Plussat: "Crew was very nice ."
Plussat: "The crew was attentive friendly, energetic, educational and very helpful."
Plussat: "The plane was comfortable, food was fine, entertainment was okay."
Miinukset: "There was an unexplained delay of over an hour. More than that, I found the crew to be extremely rude for no reason. They were short with all responses and showed no care for passengers at all. I was very disappointed in their efforts"
