Miinukset: "The crew at check-in & at boarding checked me in to fly to Tel-Aviv (transiting at Istanbul) without any comment on visa or passport at Washington D.C. In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C."

Plussat: "I had only 70 minutes transfer time and had to spend almost all of that time standing in line to go through security after just arriving from another flight!! I ran to the gate and was the last person through before it closed. I asked about my two bags and was told they were accounted for. Hardly believing it but glad to at least have made it I boarded. When I arrived in Zurich, sure enough my bags arrived too! Was very pleasantly surprised!"
Miinukset: "Though no fault of Turkish Airlines, having to go through security after just getting off one flight was stressful even if it might have been necessary. Almost missed my flight. The security area is not properly designed for accomodating many people at one time and the officials (actually two cleaning personnel) who did not speak anything but Turkish were manning the entrance. Even when I showed them my boarding pass they just rudely shooed me away!"

Plus, continuous strikes in Belgium see a joke, check-in luggages delayed for plenty of airlines. This country doesn't even know what strike mean anymore being so often..."

However, the fact that captain choose not to run air conditioning to save fuel and main cabin, even after numerous requests, was 95 degrees for 2 hrs combined with the fact that airline did not submitted travel information to US Border Protection that also added another 1.5 hrs to clear customs is totally unacceptable... Although THY has the most direct route to/from Moldova from Houston, in the future, I'll most likely will spend more money and more time just to avoid it..."

We felt too intimidated to ask any more. Also our mileage points for this sector of our travel were not booked to our KrisFlyer accounts so wondering if she did not capture at check in."
Miinukset: "The cabin was quite warm and unable to adjust any air flow to the seat. Because the flight wasn't full my husband was able to move to a vacant group of seats and lie down so eventually cooled down and got some sleep. Otherwise excellent flight"

Miinukset: "Our flight was delayed, which is a understandable part of travel. But what made it worse was that we didn’t have any visibility on our actually departure time. We were first told our flight would be delayed an hour, then the departure time was moved up 40 minutes without any clear messaging. We caught an email from Delta, but if we hadn’t, we might have missed our flight. The plane was also abnormally loud on board, and the air pressure seemed to fluctuate throughout the flight, making the experience uncomfortable."
Miinukset: "I was the very first person in line for Zone 3, and they automatically told me I had to gate check my bag, which would mean adding at least 20 minutes when I landed. I took it on the plane anyway; and there was PLENTY of space in the overhead compartments. This feels like I’m being treated as a second class citizen because I was unwilling to be nickel and dimed for seat or boarding upgrades. It’s infuriating"

Miinukset: "The FLIGHT!!!!! There were delays. Scheduled take of time was 6:59 PM. We took off at 735 PM. Once I was on the plane, I started kicking myself in the you know what because I knew immediately I was scammed. I had purchased a 1st Class ticket for $400+, only to find that my comfort would be the equivalent of that if I purchased a ticket in economy. My long legs would still be cramped. For the past few years, I have been purchasing 1st class for it's spaciousness. On this flight, on the RCJ700, I did not fly comfortably. The space was very tight, and I was able to stretch my legs as if I sat in economy. This was by far, my most uncomfortable flight ever. SMH; A WASTE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!!"
Plussat: "But, this wasn't bad at all, even though we were on the very last seat of the plane. We were next to one of the flight attendants during take off and landing and she was very kind and we were speaking with her. The flight was smooth"
Plussat: "We spent 90 min in line to take off on the tarmac. Pilot kept us informed. Crew were very pleasant."
Miinukset: "Everything was on time, but we had to sit on tje runway for more that 30 mins which made us late all around. But aside from that everything feom Delta from dropping of bags to Landing in Miami was perfect."

Plussat: "The flight was on schedule and landed early, and the pilot landed that plane very gently. It was quite impressive."
Miinukset: "I purchased a first class ticket in hopes that I would have a lot more comfort during the flight. It took me quite some time to get comfortable. The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

Plussat: "I got a seat in the exit row with lots of leg room. The entertainment that I didn't use offered a great selection with very recent movies, etc."
Miinukset: "I didn't like that I had to take a bus to my terminal. I didn't like the fact that my gate was changed more than five times. I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

Miinukset: "I paid for the upgrade to Delta Comfort Plus for an aisle seat & for some reason they reassigned our seats and I got Putin a middle seat. It was not what I paid for and it was very uncomfortable. If people pay to upgrade to specific seats we should. It be reassigned to whatever seat they want to put us in."
Miinukset: "The aircraft was older and visibly dirty in the corners. The baggage took well over the guaranteed 20 mins."
Plussat: "The gate agents were courteous and efficient. The flight crew was very attentive. The pilots were clear in their announcements. Even though we were held up by sheer plane/ground traffic, we managed to still get back home early!"
Miinukset: "At one point on the initial flight, the cabin got so cold that I had to put on a jacket."
Miinukset: "Due to last minute and absurd changes made to my itinerary by Delta without my knowledge, I was not on this flight."

Plussat: "Very attentive flight attendants. Two meals served and liquid refreshments offerred multiple times. Entertainment options were great! And patient fellow passengers who listened to a kid scream for most of 9 hours."
Miinukset: "Paid for Wifi. Marginal performance at best."
Plussat: "We purchased seats with extra legroom and it was very, very much worth it. My husband is 6 foot four and he was able to stretch out his legs comfortably. Seats are not uncomfortable, which is different from some airlines we’ve been on, and we really like the adjustable headrest where the sides can be flipped up to keep your head from rolling around while snoozing. We like that the silverware is actually metal instead of plastic!"
Miinukset: "The screen that folded out of the armrest was so small that watching a movie on it gave us a headache. The furst meal/lunch was so-so. Personally I would prefer a mixed fresh salad with a little bit of ham or chicken on top instead of the attempt at a hot mushy entree. The second meal/dinner was Similar to a hot pocket. The bread and the filling was pretty tasteless. Why not just have a healthy fruit bowl? Would have liked to see some English language reading material in the seat back pocket – it appeared to be only German language. Alternatively, it would be great if the flight attendants could offer non-German language reading materials upon request."
Plussat: "Overall, a good flight, slightly earlier than schedule, well informed by the pilot"
Miinukset: "The food was not up to par for Lufthansa (plane food). The choice was barbecue chicken or vegetarian pizza. I asked for vegetarian pizza. Not sure what I had, as it did not taste like BBQ chicken, and it did not look like the food my neighbor had (which looked like 2 mini pizzas). I chose not to complain about my food. It appeared passengers were keeping the cabin crew very busy. By taste, I could not tell what it was and I could only eat half. Not usual for Lufthansa food."

Miinukset: "The tightness of the seat arrangement when the row ahead reclined is extremely awkward. We are not large people but getting over the aisle armrest was very difficult to maneuver to avoid injury (falling). The security in Munich was upsetting in that one man yelled at me , "Get it out! Get it out! Get it out! because I put my electronics in one of the bins before my husband. I was confused as to what I had supposedly done and I said, "This is my husband" (who was removing his shoes) and this man's reply was "I didn't know that". We were not trying to cause trouble and we cannot understand why he had to yell."
Plussat: "Excellent service as you would expect from Lufthansa. Seating comfortable as well."

Plussat: "We enjoyed everything about our Lufthansa experience. Crew and flight attendants were very kind and attentive throughout the entire flight. On both of our international flights my wife and I had 4 seats to ourselves, which allowed us to stretch out much more comfortably. Flights were on time, landings smooth, online entertainment worked great, food was delicious, and the service outstanding."

Miinukset: "I was ask to change seats twice so a family could sit together ( not a problem) but because of the change i was in row 41 and had no more selection on food (already by row 36 they only had pasta). Drinks were slow and we were almost done with lunch by the time the cart came."

Miinukset: "Flight from Munich to Charlotte: I do not fly that frequently (just only about 1 or 2 times per year - usually with Lufthansa) so I had no idea that as an Economy class passenger I cannot use the Business class bathroom. I admit my mistake for violating this etiquette. There was no line formed so I just used it, but as I was leaving the toilet a stewardess grabbed my arm and sternly made me aware of my trespassing. She was very professional and I believe it was not her intention; however, she made me feel very stupid for not realizing that the Business class toiled is for the Business class customers only. Don't get me wrong, if I paid premium for my fare I would probably expect less crowded toilets too. In my opinion, this unwritten rule should be made more explicit to the Economy class passengers, as nobody likes to feel embarrassed by mistakenly wandering into an exclusive club they don't belong to. I know there are separating curtains, but they were open. I saw a line forming in the Economy section so my next instinct was to go a different direction, which led me to the Business section. I really needed to use the bathroom, so I did not think of the proper etiquette at the moment."
Plussat: "my favorite airline"
Plussat: "Over the length of the 9.5 hour flight, my time in the Economy class was that the crew were professional, courteous and especially helpful. There is a magnitude of difference between the attitude and professionalism of this airline over any American airline I have flown. In the future, Lufthansa will be my first consideration."

Miinukset: "It was a bit hot in the salon. Food was average. Flight intendants were not very attentive. My neighbor was waiting for about 20 min to get someone picked up her empty glass. Entertainment: there was no Russian language."
Plussat: "This flight from Munich to Charlotte was operated by Lufthansa. To my surprise (and a little help from a friend) I was upgraded to business class. does not get much better than that !!"

Miinukset: "More leg room in coach. If you are tall at all, it is really uncomfortable. I am 5'8' and, on the out trip to Germany from Charlotte, I almost lost it with the lack of leg room and claustrophobia......."
Miinukset: "I fly Lufthansa several times each year. This flight was the worst I can recall. My husband and I purchased exit row seats for additional leg room only to discover that an additional row was added in front of us for people with babies. We were squished behind them with very little leg room. We were surrounded by several babies, all of them crying constantly; this was totally ignored by both the parents and the crew. I was ready to start crying loudly myself, wondering if anyone would pay attention to that. We ordered special meals online but were served regular ones. When I told the attendant that we should be getting special meals, he peevishly and defensively said "you should have told me". These meals are normally served without any special prompts, so I have no idea why he was so angry with me! The crew practically hid from all the crying babies and was avoiding our section of the plane for around six hours. No water served, no one checking on anything. Lastly, my suitcase was cracked and needs to be discarded. altogether: a horror."

Plussat: "Flight was only about 60% full. Wine was offered with each beverage pass....also cognac offered after dinner. Plane was newer,comfortable. Lots of legroom in our "more legroom" upgraded seat. Departed on time and arrived early."
Miinukset: "Goulash meal meat was gristle and inedible. Other food was O.K."
Plussat: "We try to fly Lufthansa when we go to Europe (2x a year). This trip we upgraded to more leg room in economy and what a difference! Everything else was the same, which has always been excellent. Munich Airport has great food and shopping. Lufthansa's service is truly impeccable, the airline staff were constantly walking up and down the aisles offering food and drink and comfort. Great end to a three week trip in Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and of course Germany!"

Plussat: "Everything on the plane seems clean and well maintained - nothing is broken, worn or soiled. Lufthansa spends a little more effort than other airlines to cut down on waste when it comes to their in-flight food service (real silverware and reuseable dishes). The Munich airport is by far more convenient than Frankfurt when making connections in Germany."
Miinukset: "I was a bit disappointed with the limited seat availability/choices. If you cannot check in online several hours ahead of the departure you are typically left with center/middle seats in the area of the plane."

It would also have been nice to have refills on coffe and hot tea, however, no one checked back with us after round one. The bathroom floor should also have been cleaned more frequently."

Plussat: "Both crews from JFK to HEL and HEL to JFK were great. Very attentive and accommodating."

I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us.The food was also mediocre."

Miinukset: "I asked for an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. The ground staff only wanted to get us on the plane and not try in anyway to recognize us. Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

And they lost the record of my payment, so I had to show 4 times the Amex receipt showing that I had paid before. It took 45 minutes and 4 non receptive agents for me to get my luggage checked. British Airways is significantly better."

As such wr couldnt go to our final destination in Morocco and had to get our luggage off the plane. The staff at the AF counter were very helpful in that aspect. And when one of the luggages was completely damaged, it was replaced it with a brand new one which was fantastic. On the way back, we had some issues with the ticket because we didnt go to Morocco as planned which resulted in some trouble checking in. But the staff at the counter were quite helpful."
