Miinukset: "I had a 22 hour layover. On the website, Turkish Airlines advertises they cover hotel rooms for anyone with a layover exceeding 15 hours. However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

Plussat: "Due to the breakdown in diplomatic relations between the United States and Turkey, we were not able to secure non-immigrant visas to enter Turkey, so we had to cancel our plans to Istanbul. It is a bit of a comfort to note that Turkish Airlines seems likely to refund us the price of our tickets. I appreciate it, because I don't think they are legally obligated, though it is the ethical thing to do."
Miinukset: "However, even getting our money back on the airline tickets won't reverse the disappointment of going through all of the effort and coordination to plan the trip. I intended to take my nephew to Istanbul, a city I've never been to and always pined to visit, and had encouraged a local friend whose son, close in age to my nephew, is studying music in Istanbul at this time. My nephew is studying in Valencia, and we thought it would be a really fun and memorable experience for them to meet, and maybe they would have decided to do some traveling together in the future or my friend's son could have visited my nephew in Valencia at some point this school year. All these plans went down the drain when we couldn't get visas. We are having to content ourselves with southern Spain instead."

Miinukset: "My flight tonight (0078) from MIA to Istanbul was delayed by over 5 hours. I am traveling with an infant and it has been IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to help us. Finally, someone at the airport helped in re-booking our flights but I have yet to have anyone give me an answer regarding compensation! In addition, we are traveling with an infant which isn't easy but we had the bassinet seat on our original flight. Now it's sold out for the flight tomorrow and no one will assist in trying to help get us better seats. I understand things are out of your companies control but being in an airport with an 18-month baby isn't easy and no one in this company has made this crazy travel schedule easier. I would like someone to call me back or email me with something that could maybe be done to help us! No one at the call center will help!"

Plussat: "Like my trip to Istanbul, I had no complaints. It was easy to make my transition to this flight and boarding was fine and once again the crew were friendly and welcoming. The short 2 1/2 hour flight went well."

After letting group c board she told those of us in group a still in line to love over to the line for group c. It's not a big deal when one boards but this was annoying and rude"

Miinukset: "1) Since we had a long layover at Istanbul, the airline provides the option to take you to a free hotel to spend the night. I knew this information based on online reviews, but the airline itself never did anything to offer this, I had to walk around on the airport, for like 2 hours I could not find decent help and some instructions in broken English. I had to pay 25 Euros to get mi visa stamped and walk out of the airport. The Turkish Airlines attendant that set up the free hotel for us, walked us to a shuttle that would drive us to the hotel, but the shuttle driver got lost? or something happened that caused for him to drive around town for more than an hour, speaking on the phone loudly in Turkish and completely ignoring us when we asked questions, This got a little scary since we had no idea what was going on, at some point we were in the middle of a dark residential area, and listening to the driver yell on the phone (god knows what). Luckily a driver came over and guided us to the hotel, but seriously, they should be careful about who they hire for these kind of tasks. (I posted a video on instagram with footage of the guy driving us around in case my family needed to find me)."

Miinukset: "I wanted to upgrade called Kayak that out me through to VAYAMA that then called Turkish airlines. Took hours in the phone (international call) they then told me I can't upgrade (payed upgrade) because the business is FULL, guess what??? Business was EMPTY"

Plussat: "There were great entertainment options, which is really important for such a long haul flight."
Miinukset: "They had assigned the same seat to me and somebody else, and the other person was already sitting in the seat when I got there. The only other available seat was in business class, and although the flight attendant later admitted I should have been given that business class seat, the other person successfully argued to take it. Staff are good though not as friendly as most Asian airlines."

Plussat: "The entertainment choices were quite good. Flights arrived more or less on time."
Miinukset: "Our departure flight (BOS-IST) was changed 6 weeks after our booking, so our 2.5-hour layover became 10 hours. This happened before in my past experience with Turkish Airlines. There were many babies and small kids, so the noise level was high. Not ideal if you want to get some sleep on the flight."

Miinukset: "My first flight was late which made me miss my connecting flight. The ground was horribly rude and it took over 4 hours to get me to a hotel along with at lie ask 50 other people."

Miinukset: "Had to use a shoe horn to get into and out of my seat and I'm not a large guy. But really my harsh criticism comes from the loss of my girlfriends luggage. It was left behind in Paris on our way to Casablanca causing us to waste a day in Casablanca traveling back to the airport the grab the bag the next day. And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."

Miinukset: "Awoke to find ill man laying on floor in aisle next to me with oxygen. Shortly after... Passenger in seat near man on floor (diabetic but no one tells us anything) needs to lay across four seats with oxygen for heart issues for remainder of trip with staff and doctor on board nearby. Nevdr informed what was happening, never offered to move our seats or move iIl passengers. Glad all turned out ok. Could have given them more privacy and better informed other passengers."

Miinukset: "Other members of the crew were snarky to passengers and dismissive of questions from passengers during the early stages of the delay. We were all trapped on board for about 4 or so hours without much communication from the crew or captain which made me very anxious. We arrived 5 hrs late and it put my whole trip in jeopardy. Based on this experience, I eont be inclined to use this airline again for future trip planning. This airline will need to work hard to earn my trust back because i felt physically and emotionally unsafe throughout the experience, many times."

At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Miinukset: "Too much of hassle checking in as the airlines partners with a couple of other airlines like Jet Airways, WestJet & Aircanada. The food was just okay and the cabin crew refused to serve extra butter. When you are serving extra bread, make sure you serve the butter as well. How could someone eat bread by itself?"

Miinukset: "Not checking my carry on weight at check in then letting me walk all the way to security to then check my bag and tell me to go back to check in then the counter is closed and they tell me it's too late and that I need to get ride of my things so that my bag is under weight and barely making the flight"

Miinukset: "Premium economy seats do not recline, only slouch. One of our 2 seats wouldn't slouch more than half way. The entertainment options are extremely sparse and the screens are 4:3 ratio, tiny, and of such poor quality that they look like laptop monitors from 1999."

Miinukset: "Plane late departing allegedly because of cleaning the plane, but why was the cleaning done that late? Also, ground crew remarkably uninformed about what was going on in the plane. Poor communication between plane and ground crew. No explanation from pilot as to continuing reason for delay even after we boarded. Departure time, 1.00 pm, boarded at 1.10, actual departure time 1.45, causing me to almost miss my connection and definitely causing my bags to miss the connection."

Miinukset: "Flight into and out of indiapolis was delayed by 2 hours. Missed my connection flight to LHR because of the delay. never had such a flying experience. Flight was operated by Delta. I won't be flying them again."

Plussat: "Seat room was better on most economy flights. The food was good and the glass of champagne did not hurt at all. The aircraft flew very smoothly from takeoff to landing."

Miinukset: "delay for one hour with not even a glass of water very old plan video with tiny screens and bad resolution food quality especially bread is not good"

Miinukset: "At one point during the flight I took a video out of my window with my camera, a member of the cabin crew barked at me in French. In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."

Plussat: "When we were unable to travel due to Corona Virus restrictions, Ethiopian gave us a full refund even though we had a non-refundable ticket, and they were lovely about it when they did it. A+, hope I'll get a chance to actually fly with them soon."

Miinukset: "We had to transit in Addis (connecting from Dakar) and the whole experience of going through the Addis airport, getting the voucher for the hotel, and going to the hotel was horrible: it took forever going through immigration and getting a simple stamp on the voucher (the latter an unsafe experience and time consuming, with hundreds of people piled up to get those stamps from just two people, crashing again each other, with no order, no lines). Somewhat there has to be a better way to manage this and make the experience safer and more comfortable to everybody. For instance, just enforcing to stay in line and organizing the lines would have saved everybody a lot of time and effort."

Miinukset: "The rest: even mediocre fast food would have been better. The starter was some chewy rosebeef, the main where soggy chicken nuggets. The butter served was rancid! Gross. Also big difference between the older and newest 787! This was the older☹️. Ground crew unhelpful."

Miinukset: "We are stuck at the airport because Ethiopian Airlines sent out false and miseading update stating that it’s flight was leaving at 6 PM as opposed to the scheduled 7:30 AM. Because of that no one showed up for the flight and there are no direct flights tomorrow that they would put us on! My father recently had a heart attack and this is causing him immense suffering! Additionally patient with emergencies are waiting to see my husband tomorrow and Tuesday but will not be able to because he stuck at the airport! They are refusing to put us on an airline us direct flight tomorrow! Also we have spent at least seven hours on the phone and misleading (and that’s to put it kindly) statements have been told."

Gate change was not announced. Staff was not clear or direct about status of the flight. I have had several flights with EA and most have been completely disappointing and frustrating. Forget trying to call anyone, it took me 4 days of non stop calls to connect with someone to change my flight date. Then once connected the credit card system was apparently down and they could not charge my fee. I had to contact the US office while I was in Africa in order to get anything done, ridiculous. They over charged me and would not honor the fees that were quoted on the phone and via email but the head office. Dishonest and no concern for the inconvenience to their customers. This airline would be the last choice, highly not recommended."

Miinukset: "No kosher food eventhogh we asked for it"

Plussat: "The crew members are very friendly, always smiling and attentive."
Miinukset: "The entertainment system needs an upgrade. Touch screens unresponsive."

Plussat: "The flight attendants."
Miinukset: "The aircraft. Its an older and much used 777 200. Seats, bathrooms, etc have lots of mileage. Needs overhaul."

Miinukset: "Price. Ease of early checkin"

Plussat: "Meal service plentiful. They kept the bathrooms very clean"
Miinukset: "This plane seemed older not as spacious or as clean as planes on Ethiopian I've traveled on before. Horrible film selections, and it's the same coming and going."

Miinukset: "I had to purchase the upgrade to business class at the airport. On your site business class was not available."

Plussat: "Prior seating options, friendly air hostess, and vegan meal options."
Miinukset: "Flight from U.S had frequent meals, flight to Ghana had a sandwich and meal, and the time in between the two was extremely long, after been up extremely early to depart. It would also be awesome to have Ethiopian meal option, like injere"

Miinukset: "Chairs were not reclining. Asked for blanket and didn't get one so I was cold."

Miinukset: "There was a four hour delay for departure!"

Miinukset: "Staff didn't seem very efficient. Flight sat on runway for awhile and braking was very abrupt. Bags took too long at the dar airport."

Plussat: "Customer service was great and the restrooms were cleaned regularly unlike some long haul flights where it's not the case."

Miinukset: "The flight schedule was changed and despite contacting Ethiopian multiple times, they did not comprehend the problem. I was scheduled from Dar to Blantyre to Lilongwe then to Blantyre AGAIN, my obvious final destination. Luckily the crew at Malawian Airlines allowed me off the plane early and edited my booking for the return journey efficiently and easily."

Miinukset: "It was a night flight (~4-5 hours), however, 80% the time the lights were on... people did not want to eat/drink... and get disturbed constantly by the crew. We just wanted to sleep. Without lights"

Plussat: "It's very nice flying with them. I will again fly with them"

Miinukset: "- terrible food and no snacks provided - Crew was inattentive and did not monitor passengers e.g. standing when seatbelt light is on - bathrooms were rarely cleaned on 18 hour flight - poor air circulation"

Plussat: "Boarding was quick, airport staff doing a great job, cabin crew friendly, entertainment just okay."
Miinukset: "Poor variety of food, it's either take it or leave it! Make sure to order your food while booking or get ready to suffer!"

Plussat: "Flight crew were very nice and helpful. Plenty of room for carry on baggage."
Miinukset: "Veg food selections were very limited. A breakfast without meat choice would have been better than yet another rice dish. Some of the more recent movies started in the middle or near through end. Tried to rewind and restart but neither worked The toilet paper was not refilled at the stopover in Dublin and we ran out before LA!"

Plussat: "The service during the flight was perfect"

Plussat: "Most things were fine"
Miinukset: "I don't like the 787 dreamlike at all: it is not built for pax like me who are taller than average. I can hardly remember an occasion when any of the cabin crew smiled."

Plussat: "The flight was delayed 4 hrs"

Plussat: "Nil"
