Considering this is the longest flight in the world, the flagship flight for Singapore Airlines, and the price paid, it failed to deliver in PremEco. Side note- Early Check-In at Changi Jewel to bag drop hours early is not allowed for SIN > USA. Strike 1. Previous issues with SA's website prevented us from booking the preferred seat in the front row with more legroom. All attempts to contact SA customer support were ignored or incredibly delayed until the seat was booked by someone else. Strike 2 and 3. Boarding area isn't too special. Announcements for boarding were poor. Anyone not in 1st or Business class is definitely made to feel like the lowest. Take off was almost 1am, but they decided to serve one of two meals right afterwards while everyone went to sleep. Strike 4. Meager efforts to offer food or beverage (let alone alcohol) the rest of the 17 hours. Strike 5 Food was average, but below expectations for (again) the flagship flight / longest in world. Powder egg omelet/potatoes or chicken/fries Crew was back in my face to remove my food 4 minutes after they'd served it, since the crew couldn't wait to disappear for hours at a time. Strike 6. Not friendly, not looking to serve passengers paying top $ but quite ready to act superior to tell you what they can't do, can't serve and quick to use degrading tones to tell you to sit down, buckle up. Example 1: Would I like something to drink? Yes, do you have hot tea? We have English breakfast tea. Do you have other flavors? No. Stunning. Example 2: Captain turns on seatbelt sign due to turbulence, attendants go to the back galley and start talking. Turbulence ends, captain turns off seatbelt sign. I get up and walk to the toilets. Attendant, still seated talking to another attendant, turns to me and says "you need to sit down." Me: "no sir, the seatbelt sign got turned off, and I'm hear to use the bathroom. Pay attention and do your job". Wifi is only for upper class or KrisFlyer members. Guess what, I am... but when I enter my info, it fails to connect. Strike 7 (by the way, it isn't high-speed internet anyway Strike 8). 4 whole channels of live TV, sad Strike 9. Movie selection is average. When you're stuck in a tube for 18 hours, it needs to be spectacular, Strike 10. No personal air control, and when sitting on tarmac, there is no air... so guess what, in Singapore it gets hot and humid really fast. Strike 11. PremEco seat was one of the best I've used, so I slept longer than most flights. That was a good thing in itself, but also because it allowed me to skip more of the unpleastantness when awake. For high-priced tick, on a flagship flight of a highly-rated airlines, this was a well-rounded 17hr letdown. But arrived ontime at least.

Scoot airlines services and communication services were at rock bottom level.

Singapore air ticket, first flight on Singapore, connection on Scoot. Could not get boarding pass for Scoot flight at checking though booking was the same ticket and Scoot flight had SQ flight number. Transfer desk near arrival gate would not issue Scoot boarding pass. Only in terminal 1. Transfer desk in D gates was closed. Had to go to the beginning of C terminal to get boarding pass. Between bad directions and distance I lost 35 minutes getting a boarding pass. Flight had started boarding when I finally was allowed in the gate. Bussed onto the tarmac, not ideal but manageable.

Indian vegetarian could have ice cream for dessert. Would have been nice.

Food was horrible. Flt too crowded. Dirty bathrooms.

Food could have been better. Entertainment was the same during both June and July. It could have been changed.

Everything good accept food not good

My seat wasn’t comfortable enough even though I paid for it. Seafood menu wasn’t good. I was left hungry throughout my flight because I cannot eat a lot of stuff :( overall it was a pleasant flight. Passengers are pretty well behaved and less noisy compared to Cathay Pacific. There are no toilet seat papers.

Both flights SIN<-->MAN had very cold cabins. Why does it have to be very cold?

Plussat: "We had to come home 2 weeks early due to the virus, and Singapore airlines were brilliant at changing the flights. Even got upgraded to the extra leg room for free"
Miinukset: "The extra leg room seats were naff, I like getting comfy in a chair and these ones were not. The screen was too far away and the arm rests didn’t move. Also, due to my partner having to swap seats, I was sat on my own next to strangers. They slept the whole way, so the crew never disturbed them meaning I missed out on food and drinks, even when asked"

Miinukset: "Positively ancient entertainment system with poor selection and bad visual quality. Ads pop up every time you go into another menu. If you're flying SIN->BNE I'd avoid the 7.20am departure, you'll get the old 777-200s rather than the A350s they run on other departures."

Miinukset: "My first flight of JetBlue from Olandor to New York was delayed that leading to my connecting flights to my destination were missed. Now, my suitcases have been missed, too."
Plussat: "I’ve flown with a lot of airlines in every class. This was an economy class flight and still the food was better than I’ve received in business class on American. The seat was comfortable, the entertainment options varied and extensive and the cabin team were amazing. They clean the bathrooms between uses. Seriously how do other airlines still exist?"
Miinukset: "No free upgrade? ;-). But that’s unreasonable. I love this airline having not flown with them for 4 years I don’t understand why!"
Plussat: "I've always flown Singapore airlines wherever possible. Standards are unbeatable until this flight..."
Miinukset: "The dinner was terrible. I am a long time customer of Singapore Airlines and I know where the standard are. The food on this flight was the worst I've seen. The starter (vermicelli) was overly salty, dry and severely undercooked. The main course was acceptable but the portion of chicken was more like side dish not main. Missing sides."
Plussat: "The cabin crew are very helpful and friendly. I sat at the end of the row in the upper deck. After the gate door closed , they let me sit in the empty sit away from the toilets . During the flight they’re around with water and juices to make sure we’re dehydrated,"

Plussat: "The presence and attitude of the flight attendants were highly pleasant and accommodating. The entire flight was very comfortable and made the 9 hour journey from Manchester to Houston Texas fast and enjoyable. The flight attendants always had a wonderful smile which felt genuine many a time and always made an effort to speak at the level of the passenger. When I had trouble connecting to the Wifi, one attendant even knelt down and connected my phone manually as I was not tech savvy in this regard. The food was of much higher quality as well compared to other airlines I traveled with on this trip."
Miinukset: "Really the only issue was there was a 2 hour delay on departure, however this was due to issues out of control of the airline and I did not mind as the airline's ambience and my experience with it overshadowed any delays."

The in-flight entertainment systems are really showing some wear & tear. The screen was blurry, the letters on the control buttons had work off and the sound quality was terrible."

Miinukset: "Your counter staff behavior at Hongkong airport.she altered our online booking confirmed seats??? Wheel chair did not come on time at Hongkong airport. We had to rush to catch the flight after demanding the boarding pass from counter.Please investigate and punish those two staff at your counter at Hongkong airport."
Plussat: "Smooth flight, good quality entertainment"
Miinukset: "My flight to Narita was fabulous, so I was surprised to find the return flight home filled with a condescending crew, terrible food, and a broken entertainment system. We had requested a Muslim meal on the previous flight, but the food was so spicy and smelly that we chose to go with the normal faire on the way back. I changed it on the website when I checked in online but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that the meal was still set as a muslim meal. The representative at the baggage counter called the plane and made sure that it was changed back to a normal meal. However, when it was dinner time we were presented with muslim meals. When we spoke to the head airhost to request a normal meal he said that they only carried a specific number and an leftover meals were for the crew only and that we had to eat the muslim meals or have sandwiches. We requested the sandwiches - the muslim meal was too spicy and had made us sick before. The "sandwiches" were pretty much two slabs of dry bread with some mayo slapped on. Disgusting and dry. I wish they could have made an exception for us or provided us with something edible. It was a long flight and we were starving by the time breakfast rolled around. The crew was condescending and cold. My entertainment system lacked functionality; some of the buttons on my remote were broken."

The flight was almost full, and the airline was not able to seat the family together, even though we tried to check in online 24 hours before the flight. The food was much better than what is usually served on airlines, and the choice of entertainment was quite extensive.

Miinukset: "The boarding process was ridiculous. The staff delayed boarding of zone 2 passengers until ALL zone 1 passengers could be located and boarded which could easily have delayed takeoff. They went so far as to page missing zone 1 pax several times and asked people sitting on gate area which zone they"
Plussat: "Crew was not this great on my Flight from Doha to IAD. My pre ordered food was not given on time and they missed it. I was given cold food. The flight attendant ignored to offer Drinks and they didn't give the Custom Forms too. I have to ask everything and THE overall service was awful"
Miinukset: "Flight attendants should care the passengers and provide the best service. Otherwise there is no use paying expensive flight tickets and travelling on Qatar"
Plussat: "The Crew were professional, friendly and comforting. The A380 Business Class is the best way to fly. Smooth journey, very comfortable reclining beds with enough room to within the bed area to move around with adequate space. The Wine list was excellent with a great choice and variety."
Miinukset: "Nothing to do with the flight...but Qatar could have offered an airport hotel room to their Bus. Class passengers for the 9 hour delay....we did have the Lounge, but a shower, rest and comfort after another previous 5 hour 30 minutes flight from Athens 11.30am Start to 2.00am start from Doa."
Plussat: "The crew was professional. I had acute diarrhoea they insisted to eat some thing before they gave me the medicine,which was perfect. They checked every time my situation they even asked if I need a doctor waiting for me at the airport."

The "official" transit time was one hour, but passengers were made to wait while the business class disembarked, reducing actual transit time to 30 mins. Considering distance to departing gate, and security checks, this was stressful."
Miinukset: "The plane was delayed at the start but that's was ok you need a safe plane but we missed the next flight. You don't flight to Cuba so missed all the next day flight to Cuba but you lost all four bags and not helping to get them back so missed the rebooked flights again, so stall waiting someone to find them."
Plussat: "Boarding process was good. But security check is inconsistent at different locations within the Airport terminal."
Miinukset: "Poor Seat comfort. Too narrow seats. USB charger were not working. Tamil language movies were very few. Crew was efficient but were not polite and not cordial."
Miinukset: "They claimed they have free WiFi, but this is not true. Passengers has to pay if they want access to WiFi. Uncomfortable sitting and you cannot adjust it to a comfortable level. Crew keeps demanding sit need to be upright."

The ticket counter didn't open until closer to the flight, without it I couldn't get inside to the Travelers Lounge, and spent most of my time in the entry area. I also was assigned a middle seat, which is even less fun than usual when you've been in India and your bowels are acting wonky."

Miinukset: "Food is not up to the standard. They make announcements that there will be snacks like sandwiches and ice creams, but they don't offer that openly. You have to ask for snacks. Now we, US citizens don't like to ask for food just so you know. The crew should offer. if we don't need the food, we can always say no."

Miinukset: "Multiple problems with onboard entertainment re-setting itself."
