All the Japan airlines staff from the checkin agents to the air hostess were all very courteous and helpful.

We arrived at close to midnight and worried about getting the car out of the parking lot without incurring additional charges of and additional day. The food was not great."
Plussat: "I didn’t get on this flight. Due to the departure at LAX. It would’ve been nice to know that this was a possibility before the arrival. Although the ladies at Japan Airlines were able to get me on a later flight, it almost didn’t happen. But the kept making calls to help me. I’m very thankful they were able to get me on ANA flight at 8pm."
Plussat: "Bad handling and organization by JAL ground management. There was no support at the gate or clear leadership or direction of what needed to happen or what was to be done for the passengers They dumped everything in the Malaysian ground agents to handle without clear direction. Very poor service and no accountability"
Plussat: "Wonderful crew, wonderful food, love the chef program for meals which helped me feel more engaged in the JAL experience, and air mos burger for breakfast which made me feel as though JAL truly wants to show its passengers highlights of modern Japanese culture."

They aren't great for sleeping in, but the flight was decently quiet and dark for some time. I would recommend bringing a pair of earplugs and a neck pillow."

Discovered in LAX that my luggage tags were improperly tagged in TPE. I had someone else's luggage tags on my bags going From TPE to KIX to LAX to Houston instead TPE - KIX- LAX- Austin."

Miinukset: "Flight from Taipei to Tokyo was delayed and ultimately cancelled because of "mechanical failure". Many passengers on the flight including us had international connections through Tokyo, with only an hour between flights. It was clear we were all going to miss this connection, but in a frantic and haphazard way, the JAL crew's only solution at the gate was just to get us all on the next flight out to Tokyo (I believe via China Air) no matter what our individual final destinations were. They said "from Narita, they will handle all your connections to your final destination." This was a bizarre solution. Why not reroute us individually on other partner airlines, through other countries/cities, from this international airport in Taipei, like airlines usually do? (Also, all of this disorganized communication by the JAL crew at the gate was never translated into English, I just happen to speak a little mandarin and was able to understand what they were directing us to do). My wife was the one who searched for an alternative route on her phone (through HK instead of Tokyo) via their partner airline Cathay pacific and showed it to the JAL rep at the transfer counter, and through a series of radio and phone calls, only then did they say "there might be seats left", but they couldn't book the seats for us there. In order to make the flight, we had to sprint ourselves to a completely different terminal and concourse to another transfer counter to finally book our seats on this Cathay flight. Needless to say, our luggage did not get pulled from JAL in time to make it on the Cathay flights, so we are waiting 2-3 days for them to hopefully be found and sent to us. Overall, I was completely disappointed by the JAL staff, who didn't take responsibility or ownership of the situation, and who's solution to just fly everyone out to Tokyo, no matter our final destination, and to leave us to figure out our connections there was extremely short-sighted and irresponsible, and was a total disservice to their customers. I expect much more from this airline. On another note, we flew JAL from Boston to Tokyo, and Tokyo to Taipei: the food was terrible and food options were really subpar for an international flight, I would've expected much better from JAL and the dreamliner flight."
Only 2 meals on a 16 hrs flight and they had few option for food and drink. Qty was not sufficient

Boarding process could be improved by breaking the process into smaller batches in a organized manner. Discourage passengers from crowding the boarding area. Meals could be improved . Received identical Meal items on both flights - Diabetic

Chair recliner wasn’t working at all, after reporting crew member they didn’t do anything at all and entertainment wasn’t working anything and it was boring. Only good part shorter flight time all over..

Miinukset: "In Bangkok, I've already checked in on line and all I have to do was drop off my bag and get a boarding pass. There was one to two person doing the checked in and it took about 40 minutes to get done, unacceptable. The lines for non on line check in went faster then the on-line and they have four times more people that was in the on-line checked in. In flight, the seat felt liked you're sitting on a rock after a couple of hours. I'm an aircraft mechanic who used to be a flyer with 7,000 flying hours."

Plenty of leg room with the seat compared to other airlines I have flown with! Free wifi on certain planes(even though for 15 mins, better than nothing!)"

It didn’t take me that long but the flight attendant knocked hard on the door but she didn’t do that for me with the other guy. I didn’t feel welcomed at all from the crew honestly."

The plane experience was smooth, with wonderful entertainment on your personal screen with excellent movie, news and music offerings. The crew was wonderful, friendly, smiling and accommodating. No charge on alcoholic drinks! Food was great. Flight was good. At Houston, the assistants for Disabled Persons was wonderful, accompanying me up until I was dropped at Shuttle service to my car. Turkish airlines really impressed me and would use them anytime."
Miinukset: "In Istanbul, I had to walk from the gate entrance to the plane. Took me 10 minutes to walk the plank, struggling, but no one offered me a wheelchair or assistance. In Istanbul, there was a considerable amount of people waiting to check bags but there were no agents at 2 counters and it really bothered the people waiting and waiting for them to show up. Then the baggage loading track stopped and it stopped all the traffic for a while. Inconveniences but, nevertheless, it affected the travelers anxiety."

Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"
Plussat: "My above score should be 5 stars in all categories. They were running a special price on business class upgrades. It was fabulous: food great, service attentive, and seat that totally reclined to bed. I slept over 8 hours."

Miinukset: "Compared to my flight from New York to Istanbul, my flight from Istanbul to New York was less wonderful. The crew was not as attentive and was not helpful in assisting the grandmother who was sitting next to me with her 2-year-old grandson who wanted to know if another seat was available. There was only once choice for the meals, which I found odd on a long international flight, but I did enjoy the meals. The plane was older than the one I took from New York and were less comfortable. I don't usually have a problem with legroom (I'm pretty average height at 5'5"), but the legroom on this flight was noticeably smaller."

Miinukset: "Crew member wanted me to move my seat up so the passenger behind me can have more room. The person in front of me had his chair pushed all the way back, what the hell was the crew member thinking? I still did not move my chair and argued with the female crew. Crew members do not treat everyone equally. I asked for functioning pair of headphones and water, crew members never brought them to me. Responded by saying yes, BUT never brought it to me. I noticed crew members treated children and Turkish passengers first. I'm Chinese and flew Turkish airline- I felt the discrimination. Never traveling with Turkish airlines AGAIN."

I WAS NOT AND DID NOT KNOW UNTIL WE BOARDED. THE GENTLEMAN ON THE AISLE DID NOT WANT TO CHANGE. WE WARNED HIM THAT WE GET UP AT LEAST 3 - 4 TIMES ON A 12 HR FLIGHT. And to make it worse, this was the most difficult problem that me and my friends encountered throughout all the flights that we took. We nearly miss this flight as we actually went to the boarding gate that was reflected incorrectly on our boarding pass as stated earlier. There was also an unannounced delay. Flight estimated departure is at 1720HRS, but the flight only took off 1750HRS."

With exit row seats had to stow luggage back in overhead holds which meant having to go back on landing, retrieve bag & for get way back to seat. Not Airlines fault but no gantry available on arrival. Up and down runway until available (20min) before we could exit."

Plussat: "Flight was full ...so felt cramped. Towards back of plane so only 1 toilet. The Veg pie was slightly warm and unappetising , took 1 bite and left rest. Steward saw this and gave me extra peanuts instead. The brekkie was awfulll, the supposed scrambled eggs was congealed into the shape of the holder and again lukewarm the grilled tomatoe looked washed out....unappetiising...so ate the squahed croissant , yoghurt and fruit. What happened to international food standards . Crew was nice...though if wanted water later on had to get yourself.They didn't come around much offering water before Brekkie. No game option eg Sudoku on Entertainment site. My bag come off carousel more scratched than with other Airlines, so poor handling. Disembarked by stairs at Sydney Airport near Cargo plane area and had bus to Airport. Never had that before on an International flight , so took much longer to get into terminal....last thing you want after a long flight."

Miinukset: "Lack of movies compared to other carriers. Lack of food choices. Would have thought there be more local cuisine included especially for a flight emanating out of KL. Check-in at KLIA was pretty dismal in terms of the process - simply had no idea where to go even though I was in Business class."
