Miinukset: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

The had us running like crazy on instabul airport, and the employee didnt even know which gate we were supposed to go. This is the second time i had the same issue with turkish. The seats were very narrow and it was impossible to fit on there. Very uncomfortable"
Miinukset: "We boarded on time but the flight didn't leave for another 45 minutes or so. This made me miss my next flight when I landed in Instanbul. I think they might have been doing extra checks on the plane so it's fine. Even though I missed my flight and it was out of my control, I was able get another flight within 5 hours and free of charge!"
Plussat: "Turkish airlines changed my flight to another airline free of charge and for the same day. The new flight was definitely double the price that I originally paid and got my to my destination a lot faster than I would have if I had been able to take the original flight. Alitalia was a great, direct flight to my final destination."
Miinukset: "Of course having a cancelled flight is always a negative but the worst part about my experience was that I waited 2 hours in line before being helped to change my flight, and I was only about 8th or 10th in line. They also only had one person to help everyone at the ticket counter until 2 hours later they added another person. In the end everything worked out and everyone was for the most part really nice but that waiting was annoying."

Miinukset: "Bathrooms were very dirty by half way through the trip. Crew should keep them cleaned. Free Wi-Fi should be the standard on such a long flight. More leg room needed for Americans & Europeans above average height. Larger water bottles should be passed out before sleeping hours. Each passenger needs a personal fan. Temperature was too warm. Gate agents in Istanbul had a very confusing set-up to get on plane. Gate agents not empowered to help passengers with all issues that arise. We left item at gate in Catania, & gate agent unable to offer any help or detailed guidance to help us work to get it back."

Miinukset: "Poor timing - no reason for a 40 minute delay at take off (plane was fully boarded in time) Old aircraft, shabby, dirty and cramped seats. Coming from my connecting flight from Barcelona, I could clearly tell the different in the quality (and cleanliness) of the aircrafts."
Miinukset: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Plussat: "All cabin crew were courteous. Refreshments were light. Check stuff were helpful, they did devise that the flight was full and due to space hand luggage would prefer to be put in hold free of charge. We did not have any problem with this. Plane was clean."

Plussat: "The crew were really helpful since I am a short person in putting my luggage away in the overhead compartment and attentive to everyone's needs. I am a fussy eater and don't really like airplane food but the food was actually really nice. We was given plenty of snacks and drinks in between meals as well. There was plenty of programmes to choose from to keep me entertained."
Miinukset: "The seats in economy were a little too small for a 12 hour flight"
Plussat: "The staff were friendly and all smiles. Seats were comfortable and we had a quick, smooth flight from Edinburgh to Amsterdam. The breakfast supplied was an egg and mayonnaise sandwich plus a drink, which seemed about right and very Dutch in character."
Miinukset: "It was rainy and necessary to walk outside to access the plane; the staff should give their customers a heads-up so that jackets can be donned. Additionally, the check-in queue seemed rather sluggish."
Plussat: "Fortunately, the plane was not full, so people could spread out a bit to create extra room. The food was really good! (surprisingly)."
Miinukset: "KLM's new configuration for this type of plane made the seats even narrower than before. While leg room was reasonable, the 3 abreast seating meant a lot of discomfort, especially in the row right in front of the restroom."

Miinukset: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

Miinukset: "Taking off late caused me stress because I had transferring flight within less than two hours in transit originally. So we arrived later about 50 minutes so I had to manage my situation and find my next gate and be on time. And an other thing that I disliked was that I was allowed to have only one baggage which was very unusual for international flight between two countenances. And the crew was not polite enough so she made fun of my Cary-on. In short, I expected more from KLM which is famous for them being "Royal" but not acting as one of them."

Miinukset: "Might have lost my bag. I was told not to claim my bag and that it would meet me at my final destination. That did not happen. I even paid extra because of the over weight. When they charge you 100 extra euro you expect your bag to make it to its final destination."

I paid $20 days in advance for a front aisle seat (6E), but was boarded last (group H) and had to put my carry-on in aisle 26. The stewardess was very rude and seemed racist towards me."

Not to mention we had to stand there for over an hour. And then just one agent showed up. Terrible service and planning."

Miinukset: "the staff constantly refused to help when they could and provided wrong information that caused me to miss my flight. i will never book through kayak because of this experience."
Plussat: "Business class lounge excellent. People who helped with the wheelchair were excellent."
Miinukset: "In a wheelchair. Check in was terrible and rude. The fact that SAS did not allow us to bring my electric chair directly to the gate was absurd (only airline in the world that did that). The fact that it was not at the gate when we arrived in Newark surprised even the SAS Gate agents. Had to go to baggage and collect it in oversize baggage. Will not fly SAS again until that policy has changed."

I understand the crew moves a lot so want it cold but maybe there’s a happy medium? The cold snack sandwich with cheese and spread of some sort was awful. The main meal was better but not as good as some others I’ve had."
Miinukset: "SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."

Miinukset: "I wouldn't mind a complimentary wine with dinner - other good airlines like to offer me a white wine with my chicken but here you have to pay for it.... Other than that I was happy with my travel!"
Miinukset: "No food service whatsoever. Not even a bag of pretzels or peanuts. You have to pay for soft drinks. Really? A can of soda costs less than 50 cents. Bathrooms were not cleaned at all. Soap dispenser was empty for the entire duration of the flight. No entertainment."

Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Miinukset: "Boarding agent forced me to check in my carry-on even though the carry-on fit in the cage and fullfilled all the requirements. I specifically called Air France prior to the flight to make sure I won’t have any issues as my 1st flight was operated by Delta and I wanted to confirm the luggage requirements were the same. My carry-on weighted only 5 kilos. I was extremely upset the way I was treated w/ the boarding agent behind the counter in Prague. On the top of that, her and the supervisor were very rude to my mom as they told her she had an extra carry-on which wasn’t the case. She traveled w/ a small briefcase where her mask for sleep apnea was. This is not considered an additional carry-on. The boarding agent (Czech lady and her supervisor) were not only rude but obviously lacked knowledge as well. My carry-on suitcase would easily fit in the overhead bin plus there was plenty of space inside the plane as it the flight wasn’t completely full."

Miinukset: "The flight was a chartered flight . Air France informed us that due to cabin crew shortage they couldn't operate an air france flight and hence they hired Air Belgium. Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

In the end I was tucking to get checked in because they were insisting I use a kiosk but I was telling them that the kiosk said to see an attendee. It was not efficient and I felt like a burden asking for help when there was nothing else I could do on my own."

Plussat: "Boarded 45 minutes late, and then sat in the plane for another two hours before take off due to a problem with the lie computer. Would have been better to spend that time in the terminal and given credits to buy food, etc. My seat was a regular seat (non exit) and the seat did not recline properly, the USB drive was broken, overall the plane felt unmaintained. The crew was friendly and food was good but I felt not enough was done to accommodate the extra hours we had to wait on the plane."

We double checked our seats 19 hours before the flight, show up and the plane was switched we now have an aisle and a middle seat for the 8 he flight. Very stressful. Had to get up a LOT."

Even though we had about hour and a half for transfer, take getting off board into consideration, we were on the run to our next gate for about 50 minutes without stopping, barely had a chance to use a restroom. Longer transfer period is needed most definitely. Also at least complimentary glass of water would be nice on the board."
Plussat: "Vegetarian food options! Crew, especially Kiaren, was lovely- polite and attentive, and it was a very bumpy flight, so they had to work harder than usual."

Miinukset: "When trying to check in online the day prior, the British Airways system was unable to load my reservation. Upon arrival to the airport, the rather unambitious fellow at the check-in desk refused to look up my reservation and instead insisted that my flight was in fact through American Airlines. After waiting in yet another queue, I was sent back to British Airways, where it was confirmed that Iwas booked on the flight, but that it would be to late to check my suitcase. I am still at my city of origin in London as I write this review."

Miinukset: "There was no welcoming/comfort packet. That would be a small cost, but makes people feel tended. I left my sleep mask and in-flight socks because I expected British Air to provide those things as they have before. The snacks were insubstantial. No nuts, fruit, or cereal bars; only fluff. The "pizza" was tough. Not a good choice for microwaving."
Miinukset: "My flight out of Houston was cancelled because of a hurricane and a week later I'm still begging Web Jet for a refund. I'm supposed to wait another week for them to get back to me."
Plussat: "I loved the hot towel svc, the food and beverage svc. Flight attendants very attentive."
Plussat: "I thouht that the seats were comfortable. When we boarded the Madrid to London flight, we were surprised to find that the aisle seats that we had paid extra to book had been changed, and although my husband had an aisle seat, I did not. On the longer flight from London to Seattle , we did both have aisle seats, which was important to both of us. We get up more frequently than many people to use the bathroom."
Miinukset: "There were a couple of women who were very cold, and there were no crew members in economy class who could speak Spanish who could respond to them appropriately to them. The attendants just kept saying, sorry, I don't speak Spanish. This seemed very surprising to me, as the flight connected a Spanish- speaking country to London!"
Plussat: "The airline boarded a little late, but that's typical in Europe. They gave lots of food for the in-flight meal. Several people didn't have their screens work, so they rebooted the system, and then it worked fine. The crew constantly came through with beverages."

Miinukset: "Even before trip started, there were two changes to schedule and not for the better. On actual trip - flight delayed and caused a missed connection. One suitcase got damaged and one went missing... Overall not the best experience this time :-("
Plussat: "Staff are excellent, really friendly, respectful service. Food (expensive as always on planes) but excellent quality, really good choice to use M&S as providers. Excellent communication from pilot and cabin staff on delays before takeoff."
Miinukset: "System for paying by food with Avios points did not work. Plane left almost an hour late due to delays (landed 30 mins late)."

Miinukset: "The connection in London - just one hour - was absolutely not enough. It takes 15 minutes or so just to empty a large plane. Then, if you have to make a connection from one terminal to the other, as we did, you rush to a bus that drives you all the way across the airport. At that point you rush to find yourself faced with going through security yet again. All this made us miss our flight and turned what should have been a 10 hour trip into a 24 hour trip. That is British Airways fault for leaving so little time to connect. When you book your flights, be sure to have an hour and a half at the very least - preferably 2 hours."
Plussat: "AA has domestic US mkt. monopoly - they don't care to improve. People will not stop traveling so take them for suckers!!!"
