We booked our tickets in August of 2017, Turkish Airlines could've told us this. During booking, they ask for passport expiry date, what's the point if you're not going to tell us in advance and wait till our travel date to tell us this information. We couldn't travel on our vacation as planned and we were charged an additional $3,000 to change our tickets."

When you do finally talk to someone they will give you a short blunt answer and try to get rid of you. The WiFi is horrible and hardly works. There aren't any quiet places to sleep and many of the phone charging stations cost money."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Turkish airline staff was horribly rude, wouldn't acknowledge their mistakes, very uninforming and all of it to pretty much force you to pay the airline more money in penalty fees for changing flight arrangements and new ticket purchases. And be careful THEY DON'T have any announcement on the intercom system at Attaturk (I had no clue as to that being the case there, nor have I ever been at an airport that doesn't). No boarding announcement, no gate change announcement, no nothing.....and if and when you miss a flight because you didn't know the gate changed while you're sitting at what you thought was your gate and no one bothered to let you know (including the person who checked your boarding pass when you came into that gate area, it's down hill from there! They will tell you it's your fault and not give a dam* what you say to argue otherwise....and......if you don't pay the penalty they dictate to change your flight ($1114 on a $780 ticket in my case so I purchased another ticket on Turkish air on my own for $236 to get me where I was going), they WILL cancel your return flight without telling you, at which point you will have to buy a new ticket to get back home and they end up getting the money out of you regardless. This was an absolute nightmare of a trip, couple with being treated like dirt by everyone at the airport. I will not ever again fly Turkish Air if I can help it."

Miinukset: "The boarding process could have been more organized. I had a business class ticket and could not find the priority boarding line. The first ground crew member I asked was abrupt and sent me to the back of the long line. I caught the attention of a different crew member and he motioned me to the front of the line--it was a little awkward saying "excuse me" to each person that I passed. (I am not used to being a priority passenger!) Once my documents were cleared and my carry-on was inspected at the gate, it was not clear whether to take a seat or to go somewhere else."

Access to the lounge was given finally after I produced my physical Gold card even though I gave them my UA number. There are no ticketing agents in the Istanbul Airport within the secured area. I was not comfortable going outside security and then back again through security to upgrade my ticket. Agents at Turkish Airlines CIP NOT helpful."

Crew members do not treat everyone equally. I asked for functioning pair of headphones and water, crew members never brought them to me. Responded by saying yes, BUT never brought it to me. I noticed crew members treated children and Turkish passengers first. I'm Chinese and flew Turkish airline- I felt the discrimination. Never traveling with Turkish airlines AGAIN."

There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

No assistance at all. No hotel. No meals. Rescheduling was a lengthy process. Staff was rude. Really a nightmare of an experience. Note to self: never ever fly again with SAS."

My tickets were cancelled from Athens to IAD."

On-line boarding continues to be an issue for Green Card holders returning to the US - why not explain that one cannot pre-print boarding passes and instead must go to boarding pass issues-line as soon as one enters the airport."

Plussat: "Though I didn't take advantage of the stop over. Iceland air put my traveling experience at ease. They first gave me bottled water from iceland, very interesting taste, supposedly it was filtered through a volcano. The entertainment was great they have enough movies and TV shows to keep you entertained for endless amount of hours. And the flight attendants were so nice and polite."

Plussat: "A passenger that I was going to sit with had an obvious head cold or flu. Due to my own medical recommendations, I calmly asked a flight crew member if I could change my seat. I was helped nicely, no big deal. Thank you So much!!"
Plussat: "Connecting flight on Finnair albeit from Oslo, Norway, delivered as promised. On time departure and arrival. What a relief. Too bad Icelandair ground ops did not get our luggage on board. No surprise there. Lost valuable vacation time and money tracing and recovering our possessions."
Miinukset: "From delayed departure from Dulles to hot airplane, cramped seating, minimum service, late arrival in Reykjavik and 19 hours of constant gate changes, nothing went right for the airline and the hundreds of frustrated passengers. Waited from 0730 Saturday to 0300 Sunday to continue to Helsinki. 5 unexplained flight delays and last minute gate changes before flight being cancelled and rescheduled. What has happened to Icelandair?"

Miinukset: "Nothing to snack on without paying. Airlines back at home at least give you crackers or nuts for free to hold you over- also, I find it a bit unfair how the drinks are distributed. I asked for an apple juice and received one cup while the lady next to me asked for a Diet Pepsi and received a whole can. A little unfairness there- but aside from that everything else was great."

I needed to pay for my breakfast and cash was not acceptable. In addition to a massive overflow of parents going through passport control and neatly missing my flight I was quite unhappy"

First, both flights smelled like the bathroom toilet puck (the ones they put in urinals) was used to clean the airplane. Icelandair provides no food for free during international flights, which is an oddity (usually there's something during a six hour flight). I could maybe look past the smell and lack of food, but my wife and I were seated in different rows and sides of the airplane, even though we booked our flight together! Overall, I would recommend another airline. Lufthansa, KLM, or Condor if you're in Europe or traveling around that area. They all have small setbacks but are still far superior to Icelandair."

The lack of information on passport policies from kayak have made me disappointed on this company and I will not be using it or recommending it in the future. I had to spent over 300$ in hotels and gas to get to Miami to obtain a new passport."

When I booked my flights to Spain the website should have alerted me that I needed a passport with an expiration date of over 3 months. Kayak should have information on travel policies to the countries they offered flights to."

Late departure for no good reason, watched our plane at the gate being prepared for over an hour, we finally took off but missed our connection and therefore missed our Cruise Ship departure. We were put up in a hotel but upon landing in Rome, we opted to wait at the airport in lieu of the second hotel because of the timing as we had to catch a 6 a.m. train to get to Livorno to meet the Ship, it's first stop. Up for 36 hrs as we got little sleep, and were very tired."

Plussat: "Food was ok and they were pretty generous with the alcohol which I needed since the guy in front of me had a seat which allowed him to lean almost all the way back. He ignored several of my comments and none of the staff had anything to say about this even though it was pretty obvious."
Miinukset: "Too cramped.The guy in front of me was laying in my lap the whole trip I have short legs and my legs were hitting the seat in front. Flight left late causing problem all along the way i.e. lost luggage for three days. Nobody was particularly helpful or knew what was going on. I had to make several calls just to have somebody find the luggage. We had to go all over the place just to find somebody to give us new connecting flights. The airport there is a disorganized mess which is beyond words. Nobody wanted to take responsibility for the loss between British air and Aer Lingus and my impression over the phone was that nobody cared one wit what happened."

When I checked in, my roller-bag suitcase carry-on was not allowed to be carried on and it made me scramble at the last minute to grab items I wanted for in-flight use. The odd thing was that the flight was less than half full and there was lots of storage space. Plus a young male was allowed to board with a very large duffel bag (larger than my roller), an over-sized skate board, and a personal backpack and a pillow."

I purchased seating months in advance, and so did friends travelling with me, but my husband's seat was given free to a man who said had just purchased 2 days prior. I purchased my one friend an exit row seat in main cabin for $75 but BA gave it to someone else. Yes, I want refunds and will be writing more about this to BA and posting about this horrid discomfort."

Boarding process completely baroque: With 6 different priority statuses, should we be in this line or that if we have x status, but are flying this class. Comically absurd."

This caused a real scene with nearly one hundred people standing around the check-in counter waiting to put their bags on the conveyor belts. The flight, which was delayed multiple times--once due to the ground personnel at Orly not turning in the paperwork for the flight--eventually took off, but the cabin crew seemed confused the whole time. We asked for Landing Cards, but they told us we did not need them, when in fact we did. That extra delay at immigration caused us to miss our connecting flight! Since half of the plane was connecting in Heathrow, why didn't the crew suggest that those staying in London wait on the plane until the connectors had a chance to disembark?"

Outbound to SFO in an Airbus 380 had sparkling wine pre-take off, hot towels twice, this DEN-LHR flight only had juice or water on offer (crew said "don't serve that on this route") no hot towels, crew's objective seemed to be get around cabin in one go and leave Pax to it Breakfast was abysmal, soft-pretzel roll, no juice or water served, just indifferent coffee"

Plussat: "AA canceled our flight on 9/13 and rescheduled us to 9/15 for no apparent reason. There were flights leaving Orlando. When I called to ask why since all I received was a text message the customer service rep was rude. Then I received another text message on 9/13 at 4:30 am saying my flight was canceled and we were rebooked again!!! After calling again I was told if I want to leave on Friday we would have to leave from another airport that was over an hour away which means $225 in transportation to get us there! This is on top of the 2 additional hotel nights we paid for and additional meals. When I asked if we would be compensated for all the additional expenses we were incurring I was told it's weather related so probably not. I informed the rep that flights have been leaving Orlando since Tuesday 9/12 so that cannot be the case. She said to try to contact them online. UNACCEPTABLE. I will not fly AA again and I will not recommend them to family or friends. If I could give zero stars I would but the survey defaults to one star."
Plussat: "Nice modern plane. Even though the flight was delayed, we ended up boarding earlier than expected and arrived pretty close to our original expected arrival time."
Miinukset: "The crew was nice and everything, but they weren't very good at making announcements on the loudspeaker. You could tell they didn't really know what they were saying or haven't practiced. One lady was trying to make a sales pitch for a new master card and you could tell she was reading and there were long pauses. My sense is that when using the loudspeaker to talk to the entire flight, one should be practiced and know what they're saying and communicate quickly and efficiently. Don't mean to be critical, but it's something that I noticed that could be improved."

I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

(Oh yeah - we were late taking off to start my vacation from Philly because a crew failed to arrive to "start the engines of the aircraft," per captain's announcement. The entire aircraft boarded and sat, again, for 30 minutes without any air conditioning or air flow in the cabin.) Blah experience. Blah employees. And two different captains announced the reasons for delay with an "annoyed tone.""
