Plussat: "Great food and service. Turkish Airlines has always had a good reputation as we flew with them for years and that hasn't changed. My only one peeve was that I was asked by the flight to sit next to an unaccompanied minor in case of energency. Being a mother. I thought, no problem. The child then became my responsibility on a ten hour flight. Boundaries were crossed when it graduated from assistance to responsibility byt little one could do mid air."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Plussat: "For the price difference between turkish air and direct flights to Rome, for three people, we actually paid for ten days' room and meals. Although the plane was late in leaving, making us miss our connection (which was only one hour) in Istanbul...but Turkish Air paid for our hotel stay near the airport and the delay to our itinerary was minor."
Miinukset: "The legroom was the smallest of any trans atlantic flight I have taken....and I'm not a big person. There was no early option to upgrade seating. The guy next to me insisted on putting his legs and arms into my side of the seat. A direct connection to Turkish Airlines website would be helpful instead of WebJet."

Plussat: "I liked that the airline had a nice sleeping pouch that they hand out to you containing a pair of slippers, socks, toothbrush and paste, socks and eye shields. The food is absolutely fantastic and one of the best inflight meals that I had to date! Economy seats are pretty standard like on every airline. The seats do have USB for your devices and I think the air line should have had wifi but I never have my devices on as I would be sleeping for the vast majority of the time of the flight. Another interesting experience, this was my first trip where I had experienced little to no turbulence throughout the entire flight, a first in any travel for me."

Miinukset: "The boarding that took forever. We were standing for about an hour and the place wasn't even well ventilated for the amount of people were there"

Plussat: "Boarding was fine in Istanbul. Go to toilet before going through security check in the gate."
Miinukset: "Poor crew service--amazingly slow (my general THY service experience has been great, but in this leg crew did not respond to calls for almost 20-30 minutes). After meals, most people took their own empty trays to return them behind (because the crew had not picked up after 30+ minutes). The meals arrived cold as well. My entertainment set froze after 4 hours in a 13 hours trip, and was not attended to after repeated calls. One conscientious Turkish stewardess was very helpful in the 9th hour (literally), even if the entertainment did not come back on. To top these, I was sandwiched between a teenager on front and teenagers on right, who were loud and generally weird (obviously not the airlines fault). So, it ended up being a mediocre experience overall."

Miinukset: "Several TVs were not working. While some were repaired the TV for my viewing did not work. Though it was set right it failed raw weal times."

Plussat: "Wifi when I get to turkey, without needing a fan sim"

Plussat: "When we couldn't fly United (due to cost) we were not sure what to expect from Turkish Airlines since we didn't know anyone who had flown it before. It was very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the flight. We felt like we received first class treatment in the economy section of the plane. From warm hand towels, beautiful menus for meals and beverages available, a toiletry bag and much more. The inflight entertainment was awesome. Love the large screen and the touch screen abilities. So many great choices."
Miinukset: "The temperature of the cabin changed drastically from being very hot to very cold in a short matter of time. The boarding process was also not organized well at all as we lined up in our groups, but people did not follow this so although we were group A, somehow people from lower groups were boarding before us. The seats were a bit hard."

Plussat: "I'll start with the food. Authentic Turkish cuisine with multiple options. The entertainment trumps the food with dozens of movies. Let's face it, this isn't Emirates, but you can't go wrong with 15+ recent movies for a 10 hour flight. I watched three and even got some sleep."
Miinukset: "Service was subpar, but this was a full flight. Boarding was pretty terrible with 3 security lines. The lines themselves were not a problem, but they did not provide nearly enough room at the gate for this, and the boarding started 2 hours before scheduled take off. Personally, I'd rather not sit on a plane for an hour before having to sit through a 10 hour flight, but we were not given a choice."

Miinukset: "Flight late more than 3-4 hours on Frankfurt. So upset. I will never and ever try with Frankfurt again. I bought shortest way ticket to pay more money but unfortunately flight late about 3-4 hours. Money trap. I would love to have another free flight or I will post the tickets on facebook, Twitter and etc... To make a terrible flight reputation."

Miinukset: "Compared to my SF to Munich flight, the return trip was a nightmare. The flight attendants were nowhere to be found. Cold face towels, ran out of food and drink. Flight attendants allowing a school field trip to take over the flight. My seat was kicked for 7 hours straight, they did nothing."

Miinukset: "Staging at the gate was chaotic and disorganized. The passengers formed a big mob since there were no instructions for where to form lines for an organized boarding. Passengers could not hear boarding instructions from the front desk."

Miinukset: "People in economy who have no common sense and put their seat all the way back into the personal space of the person sitting behind them. They should not be able to recline that far. If they need that much room take first class."

Plussat: "it’s wasnt a full flight, so that was nice"

Miinukset: "Economy seats. No recline. THAT IS NOT BUSINESS CLASS - This is a joke! Putting an empty seat in the middle does not make it business class. Mis-leading seat image when selecting seats. Shows Buisness class large and 2X2 and Economy at 3x3. When you get on the plane it just a one large economy plane with a mark in business "Extra space for you in the middle seat". Food was cold food - no hot food on the whole plane - only hot coffee. I am not paying 4 times the amount to get economy seats that I can get and most probably get lucky and have an empty seat next to me. STAR ALLIANCE IS REALLY GOING DOWN AND LUFTHANSA IS THE WORST. Will never travel Lufthansa business class every again."

Miinukset: "App or website didn’t work for check in. Lines at the airport were very long. The flight was over booked so I didn’t get a seat until at the gate. Overall too much hassle. Food options in the plane were horrible for vegans/allergies"

Miinukset: "My bag was lost, exsept close I lost life-saving drags like insulin and other. I not live in Finland and don’t have there my medical record that can go in farmasy without medical prescription to buy medicin. Today is my 70 years burthday. This is a good present to celebrate. Thank you"

Plussat: "Food quality was good, and movies had a great selection. Boarding went quickly."
Miinukset: "We did not request special meals because in the past there has always been an option without cheese. For both legs of the trip, everything had cheese. They tasted great, but left my husband eating only bread. At the first meal the crew just shrugged their shoulders. Second meal they brought him a snack from business class, but it had cream cheese on the sandwich. Drinks were only served during the meals on an 8 hour flight. When crew came back through at the first meal, they only had two bottles of wine in hand offering top offs (no cart, just physically carrying the bottles). We do not drink alcohol. During the second meal I did not even see them offering the top offs. All other airlines have at least come through a couple of times offering water or soda. Announcements were only audible half the time. Customs forms were confusing for people passing through Canada. This might have been explained over the intercom, but again, it was hard to hear."

Plussat: "We upgraded to economy premium which was fantastic. With the exception of seats that lie down all the way, you feel like you are in business class."

Miinukset: "THey denied me and I lost all tickets including back trips as well. Nobody helped me to change tickets, they just care about money and reselling my tickets to other passengers."

Miinukset: "To whom it may concern I had booked flight from Casablanca to Chicago via Frankfurt , on May 6th , by Lufthansa, two hours before the flight , at the counter in CMN , they notified me , that the flight , is over booked , and I can’t catch this flight , and they offered me different difficult options, , till the flight boarded , they offered me one of the most inconvenient flights , and reward me some amount , in this case : I missed my flight which accordingly , lose my appointment , and lose my business. I frustrated with this decision at late hours . I asked full consideration of all the difficulty situation and the turbles they put me ."

Plussat: "Great crew. Ontime. Great online check in process."
Miinukset: "When we got off the plane in Frankfurt, they put us in shuttle buses to take us to the terminal. My wife and I got separated and were on different buses. The two buses took us to different terminals, despite airport staff assuring us that there was only one drop-off point for the shuttles. If there was a sign saying which terminal the shuttle was going to, it was not clear."

Miinukset: "You have to pay for food unless it is pretzels."

Plussat: "So because of tge traffic and snow i got at the airport 25 min before the departure of my flight...but when i explained my situation every employee tried their best to help me in getting on the plane, by even opening the gate for me!! They were very helpfull, fast and efficient. Thanks to their kindness and efficiency i was able to get on the plane and see my family at home. I am verry thankfull to all the staff for it!"

Miinukset: "Entertainment system kept not working. Terrible baggage wait in Orlando. Over 30 minutes after I cleared customs Flight was late over 30 minutes"

Miinukset: "The walk to the connecting flight was too long and took a lot of time."

Miinukset: "Sitting in the exit row meant that we could not rest bags under our seat but no overhead was left for a single backpack between my partner and I (our only luggage for the flight). Additionally other passengers were rude regarding overhead and the crew was not communicative on who should put what sort of baggage in the overhead."

Plussat: "Departure was a bit late but we were informed. Even with that delay arrived on time. Coach seat was okay for me. Movies offered could be better but there was enough for my taste. It was a night flight anyway, so I was asleep most of the time."

Plussat: "The food and frequency of service and free checked bag were among my favorite parts of the flight. Overall the flight was fantastic. I loved the camera feature that allowed you to look at the outside of the plane. The crew was so friendly and courteous."
Miinukset: "The amount of entertainment available was not unappreciated, I enjoyed many of the documentaries although I wish there had been even more nature documentaries, as those are my favorite :) I did hope for a more updated selection of Hollywood movies."

Miinukset: "Economy seat room feels even smaller which, I guess, is to be expected. My husband is 6'2' and his knees touched the seat in front of him. When the person in front leans their seat back it is very claustrophobic. Over all an excellent flight though."

Plussat: "The seats are hard and we were packed like sardines in the back rows. Wish that they would pass out water more often, we were dehydrated and also cold. Choice of movies were ok. The kids movies were the best"
Miinukset: "Seat co figuration is awful especially for families. Got very warm on the pls rand then very cold."

Miinukset: "This Air Canada flight was operated by Lufthansa and was cancelled due to the strike. So, this means that I am still in Germany which is not the worst place in the world to be stuck, especially because my parents live here. So a few day longer are not a problem for me, but if it takes a week, it is not good because I am supposed to be at work and I am using up vacation I had planned to spent with my family."

Plussat: "The boarding was pretty quick, the crew was friendly and efficient, they were great. Food was good. Good amount of space in economy. I loved the whole experience. I would definitely recommend flying with them."

It was nice to be offered drinks and food without extra charge, including alcoholic drinks ( even though we did not drink on the flight). I appreciate that Lufthansa does not charge for checked bag, food etc and hope to fly again on Lufthansa."
Miinukset: "Having to pay for seat reservation ahead of the flight. I did not understand how seat selection would work and wanted to be sure my husband and I were seated together. I think I paid extra fees unnecessarily. It would be helpful to have better information."

Miinukset: "Just a small thing the lady who was serving and picking up the used cups said I have to finish the juice and after she can take it away. But I couldn’t finish because it was too sweet and I didn’t like the juice. So I had to get up and bring the cup to the back. That wasn’t nice. Also they at but flexible about giving choices. Only one kind of sandwich they had but I think there was one other kid also."

Plussat: "They have Economy class seats on the business class. Uncomfortable."

Plussat: "Friendly crew and ground crew worked VERY quickly and efficiently to deal with a broken plane and switch us all rather seamlessly to a replacement plane. Impressive."

Plussat: "Great to be able to check in bags at the CAT railway station in the morning. Cabin crew were excellent- very friendly and helpful and did two drinks services. Austrian’s cabin crew sets them apart on European routes."

Plussat: "On time, best connection for me, earning miles on my program. I booked based on time and cost, didn't even pay attention to what airline."
Miinukset: "No food, plane felt pretty old and not so clean. Smaller seats than the other flights I had with Lufthansa. Otherwise, it was fine. I had a pretty bad earache on that particular flight, so I liked it less than I might have otherwise. Something didn't feel right, pressure wrong or something."

Plussat: "From start to finish, Sevdije was in great hands. She had to be in a wheelchair, and there were three connecting flights in countries where she doesn't speak the language. It could have been so complicated, and everyone made it SO EASY. She was all smiles when she arrived in Boston. THANK YOU!!!!!!"

We try to stay hydrated on the flights and when I asked for water at the back of the plane, I was kindly given the water and another attendant grabbed the curtain and closed it making it plain I was not to be there. (I've never had that happen on any other flight.)"

Then when I did travel, it turned out I didn't have the right for a piece luggage (again "small print"). I paid for the extra piece and I was double-charged (same amount withdrawn twice). Now I have opened a complained with Austrian and they haven't responded so far."

Miinukset: "The Senator Lounge at Vienna Airport is very poor, food selection is very limited and it is obvious that the focus is on cost saving. Another disadvantage is that the lounge only opens at 5.30am in the morning but first flight already leave Vienna around 6am. Mine was at 7.05am which meant that I just arrived when the lounge opened and I had to wait in a long cue. Boarding was due to the limited space in front of the gate a mess, priority boarding was announced but I was not made sure that priority passengers board first. The seats on board are for business to small and there is not even space to hag up the coat."

Miinukset: "Maybe I should ask for vegetarian meal, because the meal I got was not tasty at all."

Plussat: "After departing the cluster fk that is O'Hare airport it's such a pleasure to interact with Vienna and Austrian Air. I had 'only' an hour to make the connection, and yet all, that is all, formalities took no more than 10 minutes. I had plenty of time to spare. Waiting area at the gate had plenty of seating and the staff was professional and courteous. We had to gate check bags as the plane was a regional turboprop, but everything went very smoothly."

Not true I was at the back of the plane. Just awful"

I feel taken advantage of paying $44.00 U.S. for a snack that was 22 Euros. It happened again with another vendor there..$6.00 for a 3 Euro small bottle of water."

Plussat: "Typically, flying coach is a pretty unpleasant experience. You feel like the airline has shrunk the seats to as small as possible, food is scarce and bad, entertainment choices are limited, and you have to pay for headphones. My recent experience with Austrian Air was just the opposite. Seats were comfortable, leg room was good, entertainment options were plentiful and free, the food was actually surprisingly good for airplane food, and the flight attendants were extremely nice and responsive. As an added bonus - red and white wine were free on the flight and both were actually quite delicious! Finally, our flight was smooth and on time. I wil go out of my way to book my next international flight on Austrian Air - it was a clearly superior experience than flying coach on nearly any other airline."

Miinukset: "At self check-in, we received a message that we had been placed on standby and that our seats were no longer guaranteed (for the SECOND time this trip with no explanation despite our having purchased our tickets quite some time ago). We were directed to the gate for questions. No one manned the gate until right before boarding. We spent the entire time in a panic trying to figure out how else we could get to our destination in time for a wedding. When we finally talked to someone at the counter, he said this was just normal procedure to be able to shuffle seats. This is not normal. I have flown with many airlines, and I cannot imagine it is ever "normal" policy to tell people they have been downgraded to standby until just before the flight. So much anxiety. Also, the flight was delayed, and the crew had no communication about gates or any other information (within their OWN AIRLINE) for those with connecting flights."

Miinukset: "I paid for internet but it never worked"

Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Miinukset: "I was unable to check in over the mobile app nor online. Had to do everything at the ticket desk in both the US and overseas. Made me feel as though I didn't have a reservation in the system."

Miinukset: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

Plussat: "After four hours waiting on the tarmac, at 3AM in the morning, the flying attendants gave us free peanuts. That was very thoughtful."
Miinukset: "Worst experience ever. We waited on the tarmac for almost 4 hours, due a technical problem. Finally, they gave up attempting to solve the problem (at 3.30AM), and we disembarked. No assistance at all. No hotel. No meals. Rescheduling was a lengthy process. Staff was rude. Really a nightmare of an experience. Note to self: never ever fly again with SAS."

Plussat: "Nothing to be honest"
Miinukset: "Checkin was a disaster, girl was not aware of anything she was doing and after over ten minutes of explainatiin she still put me and my bags on a wrong flight. Lady at the boarding gate tried to help and finally managed to send me and my bag in the same flight. Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Plussat: "boarding is different and they were talking over pa announcements at heathrow so you could not hear what to do. you go through one ticket agent to the down stairs to another ticket agent. everyone knowing what to expect crowded around the second ticket agent and there because of that forget about boarding by row or zone you couldn't get throught the crowd. plus the second ticket agent was right next to the downstairs escalator so people coming late got on before us."

Miinukset: "After a 9 hour flight from Chicago to Stockholm I had to fly to Athens in an old type airplane , no entertainment, no TV & I had to pay for the food and the drinks. Very disappointing !"

Miinukset: "My computer/media screen did not work the whole trip, nor did audio -just heard loud screeching when I plugged in my headphones. Also, the seats were very uncomfortable. Additionally, I thought we had paid for two checked bags in advance but was told we did not and so had to pay for them at the airport. I was very focused on making sure I had two checked bags paid for online when purchasing the tickets. I don't know if it's some glitch in your website or that it was just confusingly worded/phrased, but I did think I had bought the higher level package that allowed for two checked bags."

Plussat: "Flight was cancelled but i didn't receive email notification from SAS Moreover i was able to check-in on SAS website and print boarding pass 10 ours before flight (and after Kayak sent me notification that flight "may be cancelled"), and they sent me confirmation and everything. When i arrived in airport i realized flight was actually cancelled. And i tried to call and nobody picked up the pphone. I was travelling from Moscow."
