Too tight can’t even breathe Food wasterrible
Good was excellent, I enjoyed juices well, only draw back is I felt travel was too long, I was in flight for 22 plus hours where as with other airlines max hours were 18. Not sure if that was weekend, quasar, Emirates, ethihad flights are at same time, checking, immigration and boarding took another 2 to 3 hours with all these inconvenience I felt my travel was too long, otherwise I enjoyed food and hospitality excellent
Very organized airline with friendly and professional air and land crew.
Poor boarding. Missed connecting flight. Had to stay in airport for 7 extra hours. Meal was provided but no accommodation provided and no lay flat seats. Would have been satisfied if a place to stay were provided for
Qatar airlines denied issue of any Boarding Pass to me at the Airport Check in counter, siting the reason that pre-booking of Covid Test appointment 'on arrival' at Kolkata Airport (CCU) was a mandatory requirement, even if I was not traveling from (or through) any of the 19 (nineteen) 'AT-RISK' countries notified by Govt.of India for the purpose of International Arrival. Moreover, Air-suvidha form of Govt of India which I had pre-filled with required documents, never asked me or redirected me to any Covid test pre-appointment site 'on arrival' by the international passenger. The QA executive at the Houston (Texas, USA) air-port check in counter informed me about this about this and said it has come from their internal memo. They even denied issuing me a copy or to take any photo of the same internal note. Though as per our understanding the same is not required as per Govt of India's latest guidelines in related to international passengers arriving in any of the Indian airports (including Kolkata). My subsequent telephonic call to Qatar Airways Customer Care centre also did not help. They only could inform me to send a mail using 'feedback' link in the Qatarairways official site and ensured that it would be replied within 12 hours. Even after making a complaint (through Feedback link in QA official website), I have not yet received any reply from them even after 4 days (besides an automated acknowldgement) of my complaint. In none of their earlier communication to me, neither Qatarairways nor by 'Kayak' / Indian Eagle, this requirement (even if it was mandatory) was ever been ever communicated to me. Suffered a huge loss due to this. Very much disappointed with the Qatar airways.
There was a 7 hours delay and the airline did not arrange any accommodation for an overnight stay at the airport.

Plussat: "On March 4, my wife and I made a flight from New York to Sydney with a transfer in Doha, Qatar. We flew the Qatar airline business class. Everything was great despite a very large flight. New plane, very clean. Wide comfortable seats turning into a large comfortable bed. Great menu and good wine list. All staff are professionally trained and very friendly. All this made this flight very comfortable and we were not tired."

Firstly the flight was delayed, these things happen but nevertheless I end up missing my connecting Qatar flight to Belgrade, put into a horrible little hotel for 24hrs without my bag, no clothes or toiletries. At one point during the flight once everyone had their chairs reclined one hostess told me to not put mine so far back?!?! Then when asked well then person in front of me has to move theirs forward and her response no they don’t. Absolutely shocking. To think I wanted to upgrade to business class. I’m traveling the globe over the next year and thought let me try Qatar but never again with this type of service and how they treat their customers."

I get that the box probably contains some crucial equipment, but can you at least round the edges so I can lay my leg against it without cutting off my circulation to my foot? Other than that, typical Qatar luxury (as much as you're gonna find in coach)."
Plussat: "The flight attendants were very friendly. On the flight, snacks and drinks were bright by every hour or so and the meals were plenty of food and tasted good. I was given a bag with eye cover, earplugs, socks, face wipes and ear phones. Entertainment was good as well. Qatar is an amazing airline. Wish we had something like this in the States!"

It was probably system glitch but our meal selection wasn’t registered and Crew didn’t have idea about our meal."

When I retrieved the bags on the carousel, the fragile sticker was mangled, and both items from both bags were broken. Pieces of art I can not replace. Also, it took over 30 minutes upon multiple requests for the attendant to acknowledge my need for assistance."

Miinukset: "-my seat did not recline, which I understand that I was close to the emergency exit but the person in front of me could still put their seat back way farther than they should be able to and I was unable to do simple things like put my glass of water on my tray -I had a vegetarian meal which was literally just rice and ground up brown mush-I have no idea what that much was -I asked twice for new headphones because my was broken but they forgot -When the flight attendant was coming around with water and she looked me to see if I wanted any and I said yes, she just skipped over me. I didn't pay a few hundred dollars extra for this."
Plussat: "Although I felt Qatar responded poorly to the cancelled flight, the actual flying experience was wonderful and made me forget about the extreme inconvenience and poor customer service regarding the cancelled flight."
Miinukset: "My flight got cancelled ten minutes before boarding. Workers gathered phone numbers and told us they would call to direct us a new flight. However, no calls were ever made. I had to call the airline multiple times to get an answer about a new flight. In my first call, the customer service was rude. There was also zero compensation for the inconvenience."

Then was told my luggage may not be in Abu Dhabi when I arrive, which it was not. My paid for seat wasn't available and had to sit in the back. Had to fill out a lost luggage report in Abu Dhabi. Was promised my luggage by 4:30 pm . Didn't receive it until 2:30 am next day. Missed my whole first day of vacation as I had no clothes , toiletries, etc . Very angry, and feel I should get a substantial discount on my next flight in March to Dubai. Totally unacceptable !!!!!!!"

The transfer station at E2 was hard to find - more signs or better directions from personnel would have helped. This was in contrast to the exceptional treatment I received from CP when I was making my close connection in Hong Kong on the way from Bangkok to Fukuoka. The lady helped escort me through the airport to make sure I caught my flight and had been waiting there as I exited the plane -- that was fantastic but in sharp contrast to my experience on the return segments."

Many of the business class seats had to be addressed by the crew manually by removing the cushions and forcing them to recline Crew responsiveness was great They were as affected by this as the passengers

NEVER NEVER NEVER use Kayak to book your flight. Shitty things happen. You end up dealing with complete strangers. DO NOT DO IT !!!!
Everything was perfectly fine! The crew members are all polite and generous! The service was first-class! Turkish Airlines is the best of the world!

Plussat: "Flight was badly delayed and they changed the gates 3 times with no proper announcements. As a result connecting in Istanbul after 23 hours flight from LAX I missed my flight to Baku. I was made to pay EUR 651 one way at THY transfer desk for another flight which was also delayed."
Miinukset: "For THY being more professional, taking responsibility for their mistakes and not punishing their customers for THY carelessness. As I understand this situations happen all the time."

Others in Greece and Italy tried to assist as well and found same and when calling 800 numbers the calls were not going thru or hold time was overly extreme. Was told at Athens check in to upgrade in Instanbul and to go to transfer desk to get upgrade. An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."

The crew was unwilling to help me find something else to eat and they were very rude. I am very disappointed of their customer service standards. I will not use Turkish Airlines again."

We have realized the big distinction in services when we travel from USA to Turkey VS Turkey to Egypt . The USA to Egypt staff was great, especially the ones at dulles airport."

Turkish TSA seemed a little confused with what to confisticate. They almost took away my portable shaver too. There were 4 little kids running around aisle during the flight forcing me to watch movies instead of sleep crossing the Atlantic Ocean."

Plussat: "This is a government run airline with very poor customer service. I flew 6 flights in December, 2016 in business class - out of which 5 flights were late. There was no help at the transfer desk in Istanbul to get onto another flight as my connecting flight was missed because the original outbound flight was late. The customer service staff both at the lounge and the transfer desk were inept and rude and did not want to help. I shudder to think how economy passengers are treated."
Miinukset: "1) No organized boarding process - there is a general melee at the boarding gate with a lot of shoving and pushing. 2) Customer service staff are rude, incompetent and unhelpful 3) No recognition that customers are to be served 4) Food selection in business class was mediocre and poor 5) Old aircraft - on flight from Istanbul to London, business class was 3 abreast with the middle seat being used as a tray table. 6) Sleeper class is mediocre - seat width is poor and one cannot even turn on the side"

Plussat: "Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."

All other services are great but this one element takes the joy out of what would otherwise be a great airline."

Miinukset: "The seat I was in was very hard and definitely needs more padding. My but was killing me during the flight but the cabin crew helped me by gin I got me 2blankets to fold up and sit on. The pillows are way too big and hard. I recommend paring them down the size they currently are. I was in seat 7-E. The business class bus was last to come so we waited for a long time to get to the plane. Most of economy was boarded before us. But not really a big problem as we did get on the plane with no problem."

Then as it was a night flight, he fell asleep and snored in my ear - I didn't get any sleep at all. All in all it wasn't a nice experience."

Also, to the other passengers, sit down until it’s your turn to exit. What is wrong with you that you can’t sit five more minutes? Be polite and let the people in front of you go first, let them have room to grab their bags instead of having your elbows in their face."

Miinukset: "super small plane... had to climb a very narrow staircase into the plane... overhead bins couldn't accommodate much of anything... we weren't warned this in advance. one rude steward (Miks) July 21 Flt. BT444, 18:30-19:50... he just stood there watching me struggle up the outside staircase into the plane with my suitcase... scolded me for bringing suitcase on board, argued with me, etc. (I've traveled the world and this suitcase is always brought on board)... he was not service-oriented or helpful. thankfully, other staff did help... but he left a bad taste in my mouth for this airline."

At check in we were told I had not done this and we had to go pay at another desk in the airport and come back to the check in line, 40 euros each. I showed the agent my paperwork that showed one bag each--it was not explicit on the paper whether this was the allowance or what I had paid--and she shrugged and said "Bad information. You have to pay now and you can take it up with the airline later." This will be a pain in the neck."

AirBaltic refused to compensate for my looses due to thair fault, castomer service is very poor, they took refusal position right away. Air Baltic planes are very old and no air conditioning, avoid air Baltic."

Miinukset: "I was flying transit, but I had to go through the check-in in Paris. At the check-in they started to make problems about my carry-on luggage. I had just two flights from the United States behind me and no problems at all and suddenly I can't fly with my carry-on luggage? I didn't like the AirBaltic check-in service."
Miinukset: "Expensive tickets but no complimentary beverages and snacks for a 2 hour flight, overpriced snacks in the flight cafe. 3H delay!!!! with no understandable explanation in English and no explanation in Latvian from the captain - airBaltic is a Latvian airline! Other airlines use two languages - national and English"
Plussat: "Quick bag drop and security line at Riga airport. Quick boarding with all the larger suitcases forcibly checked in at no charge. On time departure. Seats are comfortable enough for a short flight."
Miinukset: "(This is more of a comment on Kayak's review page than on the flight.) Haven't tried the food and there was no entertainment."

Miinukset: "The check-in process is horrible, regardless of the airport you are flying from. It's just the trademark of Air Baltic. I learned my lesson and pay extra to use the priority check in line, as well as boarding. Otherwise you end up staying in a VERY long line. This time I was bumped from the seat that I picked when booking my flight, which was still assigned to me when I checked in online. No explanation or heads-up, I was just handed a paper boarding pass when I checked my bag, and only after I was past security line I realized that I was bumped from row 4 to row 10. I was able to get a seat in row 4 again at the gate, but not the same seat. Also, there was no priority boarding, even though I paid for it. Given this experience I will only fly this airline if I can get away with a carry on, thus avoiding the check in desk altogether."
Plussat: "The equipment used for the trip to latvia. the cs300 was superb and I enjoyed my seat. It was comfortable. The boarding was quick and efficient. spacious and quite lovely. the food was ok . i enjoyed the grilled pork."
Miinukset: "the customer service rep stopped only me, the only black man travelling from riga to russia and was scrutinizing my passport for some long agonizing minutes. My russian visa is in the passport and updated and quite visible to see on the third page of my passport and being from Grenada I am able to travel to latvia visa free for up to 90 days. I stood there whilst others walked past me and went to the aircraft. that sucked. may 09 2017 at around 9 am."
Plussat: "Flight was on time which was surprising given a late snow storm in Tallinn."
Miinukset: "The flight was fully booked, and the system re-assigned seats for a number of passengers. This created confusion as passengers arrived to their assigned seats to find other passengers in the seats. There also appeared to be a miscommunication between the crew as some crew members said to passengers whose seats were taken they should sit anywhere, whereas other crew members tried to get everyone back in their assigned seats. This was frustrating. Also the overhead bin lockers are very difficult to open"

Miinukset: "Checked in luggage is only 20kg, there's no entertainment in flight."

Plussat: "Things moved along fairly well, especially once I was in Riga. The hour layover stressed me out because I wasn't sure if I'd make it to my connection in time, but the airport was not crowded so I managed to get through passport control fairly quickly and made my flight."
Miinukset: "Flight left a late, which was stressful with an hour layover in Riga where I had to go through passport control. Was very stressed, but made it with ten minutes to spare before my connection boarded because the airport happened to be not crowded."
Plussat: "Booked on kayak and wasn't clear at all about check in or tickets, I looked many times. No way of checking in or getting boarding passes had to pay an arm and a leg at the gate. Also had to pay to check my bag on a half full flight. Have never had to check same bag with Ryanair on over 10 flights now. Will never use this airline again."
Miinukset: "I tried to check in on my phone and the app did not allow me. The only way was buying lunch in order to move on with the check in process. I decided to get to the counter and the person charged me US$ 35 euros only for checking me in (even though their app had problems to check in). They charged me in total US$ 100 for checking in and checking my luggage. The service was terrible, especially from the person at the counter. In addition to all that, my luggage did not arrive to the final destination and was lost for an entire week. Every time I called the airline, they were charging me per minute even though they were the ones who lost my suitcase."
