Qatar airlines denied issue of any Boarding Pass to me at the Airport Check in counter, siting the reason that pre-booking of Covid Test appointment 'on arrival' at Kolkata Airport (CCU) was a mandatory requirement, even if I was not traveling from (or through) any of the 19 (nineteen) 'AT-RISK' countries notified by Govt.of India for the purpose of International Arrival. Moreover, Air-suvidha form of Govt of India which I had pre-filled with required documents, never asked me or redirected me to any Covid test pre-appointment site 'on arrival' by the international passenger. The QA executive at the Houston (Texas, USA) air-port check in counter informed me about this about this and said it has come from their internal memo. They even denied issuing me a copy or to take any photo of the same internal note. Though as per our understanding the same is not required as per Govt of India's latest guidelines in related to international passengers arriving in any of the Indian airports (including Kolkata). My subsequent telephonic call to Qatar Airways Customer Care centre also did not help. They only could inform me to send a mail using 'feedback' link in the Qatarairways official site and ensured that it would be replied within 12 hours. Even after making a complaint (through Feedback link in QA official website), I have not yet received any reply from them even after 4 days (besides an automated acknowldgement) of my complaint. In none of their earlier communication to me, neither Qatarairways nor by 'Kayak' / Indian Eagle, this requirement (even if it was mandatory) was ever been ever communicated to me. Suffered a huge loss due to this. Very much disappointed with the Qatar airways.

It's getting to the point in life that a flight in coach in those little seats for 9 to 15 hours is just too cramped. This was a packed flight with nearly every center seat taken. Good for Qatar airlines, which is a terrific airline, but its tough to ride in those little seats on long-haul flights

I had to call the airline multiple times to get an answer about a new flight. In my first call, the customer service was rude. There was also zero compensation for the inconvenience."

Plussat: "The movie selection + the crew was friendly."
Miinukset: "There were kids who were not well behaved. Their parents would not correct them, neither did the crew. There was a kid screaming and talking very loud behind me, while everyone was sleeping. I was unable to sleep on the flight, even with ear plugs. The kid sitting next to me was getting Play-doh everywhere, on me, the floor and all over the seats. He was also kicking the seat in front of him and his mother would not correct him. It would be helpful for the crew to say something to the parents, as some parents do not believe in discipline. The vegan food was very good on the flight to Hong Kong, but on the flight to Chicago it was bland. I was still very hungry after eating + did not get protein in the first meal. With the seat in front of me reclined all the way back, my knees were touching the back of the seat, my legs were swollen and in a lot of pain after the flight."
Plussat: "Flight was very smooth and pleasant. The entertainment was great with lots of choices. Premium economy seats on A350 was amazing. Very similar to Qants reganal business class on their 737. But how ever the seats on their A330 was average. But otherwise all was good. I would recommend Cathay."
Miinukset: "The food was very small portion and average in taste. The crew took a wile to take the trays and clear after all ate."

Miinukset: "The ground staff at the departure lounge were most of the time chatting or walking in circles and chatting. Also they were not as organized nor as accomodating than expected. Kinda shows a lesser level of professionalism than the crew in other countries."

Plussat: "We enjoyed the flight, the food, the entertainment system. Everything was good including the cleanliness of toilet facilities on this 16 hour flight. Very happy with Cathay Pacific."
Miinukset: "Child in seat behind hitting screen in back of headrest (play a game on it) while I was trying to sleep in the middle of the night"

Miinukset: "My son did not do well with the food on the trip. He became ill. The food did not smell particularly delicious."
Miinukset: "Blankets were very thin, although clean felt reused. Headphones were poor which meant if Someone in a near seat was talking couldn't hear through my headset despite volume being turned up."

Miinukset: "Pilots apparently forgot the seatbelt sign pretty much the entire flight. Flight attendants were trying to get people to stay seated until it became clear the light was never going off. Literally 1/2 the flight people were just wandering around and the attendants gave up. Seriously guys, on a 10+ hour flight, that's not cool."

Miinukset: "My rating on boarding is due -- entirely -- on the poorly designed new Istanbul airport. Seems that bigness and lots of duty free shops were given a priority over ease of making connections. Horrible."

Plussat: "Flight was badly delayed and they changed the gates 3 times with no proper announcements. As a result connecting in Istanbul after 23 hours flight from LAX I missed my flight to Baku. I was made to pay EUR 651 one way at THY transfer desk for another flight which was also delayed."
Miinukset: "For THY being more professional, taking responsibility for their mistakes and not punishing their customers for THY carelessness. As I understand this situations happen all the time."

Plussat: "The only good thing about Turkish Airline was the entertainment, the movie selection was pretty good."
Miinukset: "I did not like flying with Turkish Airline. Worst experience ever for travel. Kept us on the the plane for hours while fixing the technical issue. The food is disgusting, the crew does not speak very well English. They do not come quick enough when you want something. I would not recommend Turkish Airline to anyone. We had to pay extra for sears that were given, should have been given to us for free considering they treated us badly on our start of the journey."
Miinukset: "The seats in business class were not suitable for sleeping even though I paid top dollar and it was a 4:45am flight. They let a random person on the plane and had to do a full security sweep before taking off."

Miinukset: "was unable to upgrade tickets in advance off of web site. Others in Greece and Italy tried to assist as well and found same and when calling 800 numbers the calls were not going thru or hold time was overly extreme. Was told at Athens check in to upgrade in Instanbul and to go to transfer desk to get upgrade. An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."
Plussat: "Food was excellent. The built in entertainment from movies to games was amazing! It saves you space from having to pack a bunch of electronics."
Miinukset: "I always enjoy a window seat but the people next to me didn't get up at all! So I was stuck sitting and didn't have a chance to stretch my legs. Not the airlines fault of course. If you put your seat back a little, it just pushes your knees farther forward."

Miinukset: "No vents at seats on Airbus 300, AC was set at high temp so I was frequently way to warm to be comfortable. This is on both our main flight to Istanbul and our short transfer to Athens. Drink service did not start until 2 1/2 hours into flight. You get what you pay for I suppose. Still 10.5 on a hot plane!!! I usually need a jacket. Food was ...awful."

Miinukset: "Food was average; no snacks or snack service which made for a long time between meals on a 12 hour flight. The flight purchased was from Venice to Houston with a connection in Istanbul. The required passport recheck and gate location at opposite ends of the terminal made this a mad dash to catch the flight. It was too little time for comfort."

Miinukset: "I booked a window seat but the seat I got had now window. I couldn't do online check-in."
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed 2 hours. Plane boarded on time but we sat in plane for 2 hours. Therefore delaying my flight and I don't have an international phone plan, so I either had to pay for Wifi to let my family know my flight was delayed or not contact them at all. I wished they would have given us complimentary wifi due to their delay."
Plussat: "the food is good - staff are generally friendly but not great with English if you have a problem"
Miinukset: "Why does Turkish Air boarding always have to be so chaotic - pushing and shoving, etc. Why cant TK control their business class space - people from economy always coming up for bathrooms when there are plenty in the back....."
Plussat: "Nice crew. Boarding and deplane was fairly easy and quick."
Miinukset: "Seats in coach are quite close and became worse when people reclined."
Plussat: "This was the best coach experience I've ever had. Food was great, tv screens were large, little bags with earplugs, slippers... were provided. Other airlines could take some pointers on how to treat passengers on long, overseas flights."

Miinukset: "Flight crew that was assisting on my side was awful. Completely disrespectful and not willing to help or listen. Not to mention, special meal was requested online months in advance yet they didn't have any vegetarian meal left and I was left with eating break and fruit."

Miinukset: "I don't like landings but the crew did well!!"
Miinukset: "The plane left late I almost lost my next plane to Los Angeles a good thing the next plane was late so I make it"
Plussat: "This is a government run airline with very poor customer service. I flew 6 flights in December, 2016 in business class - out of which 5 flights were late. There was no help at the transfer desk in Istanbul to get onto another flight as my connecting flight was missed because the original outbound flight was late. The customer service staff both at the lounge and the transfer desk were inept and rude and did not want to help. I shudder to think how economy passengers are treated."
Miinukset: "1) No organized boarding process - there is a general melee at the boarding gate with a lot of shoving and pushing. 2) Customer service staff are rude, incompetent and unhelpful 3) No recognition that customers are to be served 4) Food selection in business class was mediocre and poor 5) Old aircraft - on flight from Istanbul to London, business class was 3 abreast with the middle seat being used as a tray table. 6) Sleeper class is mediocre - seat width is poor and one cannot even turn on the side"
Plussat: "The entertainment choice and availability of USB port for charging was excellent."
Miinukset: "This leg of both of our flights (going and return) was quite cramped. Due to an unfortunate delay on our return flight, our overall day was extended from ~8 hours to 16 hours, and had us flying through the night--very unexpected and tiring. Additionally, although we requested kosher meals well in advance, the delay/cancellation of our flights and rebooking effectively cancelled our kosher meals and there was nothing for us to eat. This was very frustrating."
