The boarding staff were professional. I could not board because I was not aware or informed of Covid restrictions in Japan (passing through) . Fortunately the counter staff declined my boarding so I was not stuck in ORD or rejected in Japan. I will gain the required testing and reschedule the trip next week.

JAL cancelled one of my return connecting flight as such has put untoward stress and terrible inconvenience on me. Ive reached out to priceline more than 4 times and said that JAL is yet to approve the request for change in flight details. JAL only approved of it nearly 2 weeks away from my actual revised flight. I was in contact with priceline two to three months away from my cancelled flight from JAL but JAL has delayed the approval of my request for a revised travel plan. All my succeeding plans and schedules were terribly affected by this poor JAL service. JAL did not even tell why they cancelled one of my connecting flights. This delay in their practice is terrible and is a poor reflection of their company values.
Ticket flight selling should more detail at each a few countries when transit to Vietnam Ho Chi City. Unfortunately, I could not take this flight which was July 22 because i have to transfer airport in Japan. So that, I had to pay another ticket one way to Vietnam and in difference day.

Plussat: "The crew is outstanding. A girl two seats away from me barfed and two attendants were there immediately with a bag, cleaning wipes, etc. They are very friendly and patient with passengers. The next best part was the comfort. I got a good amount of sleep on my nine-hour flight."

We were not aware or made aware of the distance from the domestic to international gate. We were told to take the 1830 pm flight to connect. We almost got a heart attack from running to our very far gate. I wish we were made aware that a shuttle bus would have been available to go to the international gate."

Plussat: "The crews were polite and reliable. No bossy or mean like other airlines. they moved prompt, no running or fast walk on aisles, so that passengers can ask things easily. Food was much better comparing with any other companies. The boarding time was delayed one hour, however we landed japan 2, 3 mins later than the estimated arrival time. Landing technique was beautiful. American, United, ANA which I flew caused me have a deep Earache. I didn't get any pain from this flight. I am already scared of returning flight with American airplines."

The crew told my brother and his wife to wait for another12 hours which is the next morning, for next flight. My brother decided to just take a rental car to KZO, and was going to just take their luggage from the airline, but the AA crew would not let them did so, and was really rude. It was very traumatic experience for the both of them and other passangers of how bad they treated this plane delay/cancellation issue. One passenger with baby was having a panic attack, but nothing was done. So far, no compensation, or apology email has been sent. Will never take this airline anymore. We are done."

The food was really bad. Ravioli were hardly warm. A dish with “salmon” over rice was so salty and dry. The dish they call beef with rice and egg had a gravy but it was challenging to find even small pieces of meat. They really need to fix their menu. It’s not even average….

I had to sit over the aisle from my children as it was a 2 2 seating but the staff didnt seem to pursue where their mother was even though i was 1 row back. They didn't need me but i thought they should have at least enquired as to where the parent was of 2 11 yr olds. They were also curt trying to rush us off the flight as my daughter was trying to locate a lost item as we arrived. She has limited sight and we need time to get off and to find things.... given she has lost an iPad, and very expensive reading glasses and other things on the trips that span 24 - 36 hrs."

Plussat: "The flight was less busy than usual (it was an Easter Sunday departure) and so service was a bit more relaxed and friendly than usual instead of just efficient. Left gate a few minutes early and arrived 20 min early in Tokyo. Flight time is pretty good - 8pm departure which gives time for a relaxed day sightseeing in Dusseldorf before going to the airport in the late afternoon, Arrival in Tokyo is about 2pm which would be a good time to check in to hotels and relax. Food was good - dinner after take-off and a brunch-type meal a few hours before landing. Entertainment system is also very good although I'd flown a lot recently so seen the films I wanted to see already. Sometimes ANA are just "good" but this one was the best one I've flown recently."

Plussat: "I could upgrade my seat from a regular economy seat to a premium economy seat about 24 hours in advance. The flight attendants were generally attentive and thanks to the kindness of my ajacent passenger to my left, I could sometimes go to restrooms."
Miinukset: "I usually take an aisle seat, but it was not available this time. Furthermore, my ajacent passenger to my right hand side had cold and often coughed and I myseld caught cold from him during this flight...."
