I was in the last boarding group even though my seat was in row 17. They required me to check my carryon due to space."

Miinukset: "No seat back entertainment. 45 mins flight from San Antonio to Dallas had seatback entertainment. But 2hr flight from Dallas to Cozumel had no seatback entertainment. Go figure."
Plussat: "I was surprised by the amount of room in the economy cabin."
Miinukset: "Check in very slow! The computers used for passenger self check in didn't work well. It took 6 attempts to read my passport, it never did read my green card, wouldn't accept my frequent flyer number. Other passengers were similarly frustrated. The attendant couldn't have been less helpful. I joined a line to check in with a counter clerk. The counter positions were seriously understaffed. The clerks seemed to be working quite slowly and were quite unconcerned about the growing line. I'm glad I checked in early for my flight!"
Plussat: "The flight was delayed by more than two hours which caused us (me, wife, 4yo, and 7mo) to miss our connection from LAX to HNL. We had to stay the night in LA and take a morning flight to HNL. But despite the delay, the gate agent in Charlotte did a good job of updating people and remained very polite even when it was clear people were getting frustrated and starting to get sharp with him. Pilots did a good job of trying to make up as much time as possible. I can't remember how much time they shaved off but I think it was more than 20 minutes. Customer service in LA was solid too. Went to CSD to get our tickets changed. They had already changed our flight to a 8 AM flight. We asked if we could take a later flight because of the kids and he was able to accommodate. They also gave us vouchers for 3 meals and a night at the Holiday Inn. Having a delayed flight is never fun but the AA staff was amazing throughout."

Miinukset: "We did not get on this flight because AA's scheduled it 90 minutes after landing from an Int'l flight. Why don't airlines schedule a minimum 3hours between Int'l-domestic connections. half the plane was stressing and freaking out about missing their connection even though the plane landed on time. "AA is not responsible for customs/security delays". Well, your customer service agents would have a lot less work if you didn't have to reschedule 100 people per flight. The time the plane drives/parks at the gate, you get off the plane and make it through customs, get your bag, recheck it (if need be, we didn't this time though), get through security and get to your gate, you'll be the luckiest person in the world to do that in less than 90 minutes."
Miinukset: "Missed connecting flight because they left late out of our origin location. We were only 2 min late but they closed the door eventhough they knew the previous flight had landed and we were on our way to the flight."
Plussat: "Not much! The flight was smooth and without event."
Miinukset: "Originally, I was scheduled to take a JAL flight from NRT to DFW, but for some reason, American Airlines switched the service to their own aircraft and crew. If I would have known that beforehand, I would not have purchased my ticket through AA.com. During my original online booking, the screen said JAL service from NRT to DFW. Just about everything was bad about my American Airlines flight. I travel to and from America several times a year from Asia. Each time I travel, I swear I will never fly an American based airline for the trans-Pacific portion of my flight. My latest experience with American Airlines only reinforces that resolution. The in-cabin crew is (and I'm being nice) pathetic! They are veteran flight attendants and they look and act like they could care less about the customers on the flight. Frankly, I'm just downright disgusted with the service and personalities of the American crew's attitude. They act like they are old and tired, uninterested in quality service, and that we (the passengers) are an imposition upon their life. For example, mid-flight, I walk to the back of the airplane for something to drink, instead of assisting me they point to a "station" at the Emergency Exit door stocked with random drinks and snacks. While they are chit-chatting, looking at their smartphones and reading newspapers, books, and Kindle-type devices. That has never happened on an Asian-based airline flight. Another example, in-flight food service, the cabin crew members are waking people up to serve food and, instead of being gentle and cordial, they are rude and impatient. My 2 row mates were both Asian, and because of being awakened and the ambient noise in the aircraft, they could not hear what the flight attendant was asking. So, with a tone of impatience and disrespect, the flight attendant virtually shouted at them their choices for the meal. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right" or the "customer is king"? My renewed resolution: I will no longer fly American-based (because Delta is even worse) airlines to and from Asia. If needed, I will pay the higher fees and fares to fly anyone of a number of Asian-based carriers. It is worth it for the 24 hours it takes me to cross the Pacific. I am sick and tired of the begrudged and entitled attitude of the archaic cabin crews of American-based airlines."

Plussat: "Full flight which is to be expected flying in to Orlando. Badly done seating, I think every group was separated from at least one person in their party. Several people weren't given seat assignments until time to board, even if other people in their party were assignments seats when checking in. No ecplanaation of why. In flight entertainment was an older movie. No options, and no sound if you forgot your own headphones."

Miinukset: "Apparently Finnair leases a Hilly plane and crew for this flight right now, so it wasn't quite the same."

Miinukset: "Out would be helpful if there was a visual cure at boarding of what group is "now boarding". It's not always possible too hear over the noise. You also might as well tell group 3 and 4 passengers to check luggage in advance to encourage an on time gate departure."

Miinukset: "If you're remotely claustrophobic this is not the flight or aircraft you want to be in. When the flight was booked and paid for I was under the impression that I would have a seat on the plane. As it turned out in order to board the plane I had to pay extra to secure a seat. If this is not a "bait and switch" operation I don't know what would qualify."

Miinukset: "My flight was delayed, as I result I would miss my connecting flight. I was rerouted, making me arrive at my destination 4 hrs later than expected hence I missed my bus reservation to my place of stay. Oh! Not to mention, my luggage was lost and I had an event to attend a few hours later. Horrible experience."

Miinukset: "Three separate delays before boarding (boarded three hours late), then another 45 minute delay after boarding to "recalculate" due to fuel burned while sitting at gate, then nonstop announcements and dinging for the 30 minutes during & after takeoff, no screens or outlets, old and uncomfortable seats"
Plussat: "Everything other than the entertainment system was fine. Boarding process was very smooth!"
Miinukset: "The entertainment system -- touch screen interface through which you can usually listen to music, watch tv shows and movies -- was down for the entire flight. Not fun."
