The airline promised overnight stay and transportation. When we got into Istanbul airport after 11:00pm as scheduled, there was no support from the airline. Different airline staff provided different answers. Very confusing. The on-site transfer desk support was unfriendly and not helpful. 2. Tight seat configurations for international flights. For our 13-hour flights, the seats were not comfortable."

Miinukset: "The boarding process at Istanbul was a bit chaotic but the flight left on time. I guess the airport personnel knew what they were doing. Istanbul airport is big and modern. There a lot of nice shops, including Duty Free. One annoying thing was the large number of airport employees using these motorized transports, I.e. wheelchairs, bipeds, tricycles, etc, going at high speed. If you don't get out of their way they will run you over!"

Considering I took six flights in this month, I will let it slide that they ran out of New movies. Worst part was food. Obviously, there is no quality consideration when they decide menu. Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. Miinukset: "Where to begin? During the booking process, there was no indication my travel partner and I would be flying Air Canada, and not Lufthansa. We were seated in the last row of the plane with painfully little legroom — even for two women of relatively small stature. The plane was not equipped with modern conveniences of operational wifi, music, or any other means of entertainment over the ten-hour flight. We were nearly an hour late to depart, but were unable to hear anything over the speakers regarding the cause for the delay, nor could we hear any of the flight attendants' safety instructions. What we could hear, however, was the surprisingly loud and nearly constant DINNNGGGG of the passengers' call buttons as they summoned the flight attendants. Because the flight was an overnighter, we attempted to sleep, but it was nearly impossible to do so due to the noise. I had earplugs in and could still hear the chimes, which were positioned right above our seats and made for an unpleasant experience and cranky travelers. The food was subpar as expected, but it would've been nice to be surprised with something resembling a fresh piece of fruit or vegetable. The flight crew was polite and one of the attendants took pity on us and offered a complimentary shot of whiskey, which partially alleviated the discomfort of the experience. That man is a saint and we surely hope he is better taken care of by this airline than we were. Overall a miserable experience. Will definitely rethink flying both Lufthansa and Air Canada in the future."

Compensation upon arrival at Frankfurt was nil unless you asked and if you did you got an insulting 7 euros which barely even paid for coffee. No apology to people given just a "business as usual, it is your problem attitude". At arrival in Frankfurt there was a pass the buck attitude where any questions of connecting flights, and reroutes was forwarded to a Lufthansa counter that was NOT manned by anyone. Very frustrated."

When my parents were checking in for flight they asked the representative about meal selection and she didn't answer their questions properly and because of that my mom didn't get proper Hindu Vegetarian food on flight instead she got Egg omelet which she couldn't eat. She has to eat just fruits. My mother is a diabetic patient and she needs a food every after some time. I never had such a bad experience before with any other airlines."

Miinukset: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Plussat: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

Plussat: "The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant."
Miinukset: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."
Miinukset: "Late Cabin extremely warm Full flight and centre seat means no room to relax or carry out work"
Miinukset: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."
Plussat: "Staff superb. They even surprised us with an exit row and a gift for my partners birthday! Amazing. Samantha and Dennis also took time to come and personally wish him a happy birthday. A lovely touch. This airline runs like clockwork. They are just great. The sandwich and stoop waffle are nice too."
Miinukset: "There is a bus to the plane, so that takes a bit of extra time but they are very well organized."

I am unsure why this was the case as other passengers brought the same size luggage. Very upsetting."

This was a great inconvenience for us. Never again on Air Canada. I suggest you explore the baggage process used by Delta."
Plussat: "The crew ask some of us to help seating a family group together. No objection. Then they went out of their way to make the trip more enjoyable for us... even offering a drink of Champagne wine (the true one, not some substitute)... Departed almost on time, arrived a few minutes early..."

Miinukset: "Entertainment screen did not work; in neighboring seat it could not be switched off when we wanted to sleep; sourly employees everywhere (re-booking counter an exception); food close not being edible and cold; I forgot my watch on when going through security in the Air France terminal; when I started to say "sorry" I was yelled at by the screener who said that she will do the talking; she sent me back through the scanner twice without my watch, then once more with the carry-on and made sure that I went to the end of a very long line to wait for another screening rather than having me just go through the scanner without my watch. Needless to say, there was nothing else suspicious about me once the watch was removed. Eager to exercise her power, the security person did not seem to consider that she slowed down a long line of people waiting to be screened. I should add that I am 73 yrs old grey haired female who has traveled a lot both for pleasure and business during my entire life, often to some difficult places and that I do not argue with or provoke those in power in a situation like this. The yelling and the sending me repeatedly through the scanner, which did not beep once the watch was removed, was beyond anything I had experienced anywhere else. The sending me to the very end of the line seemed outright spiteful. (I did miss the plane connection.)"

Only to be told at the departure time that there was a problem with the baggage hold and we were delayed. In total 50 minutes late leaving. Breakfast a simple brioche with nothing to add to it."
Miinukset: "Canceled flight—absolutely no notification. Convoluted rebooking in whcuhbhey lies to us about what flights we were actually on. Spent a couple hours at Delta rebooking our trip. Lost prepaid night at hotel and dinner eaecatuon plus day of vacation."
Miinukset: "We paid for Business Class from JFK to TLV. The flight to Tel Aviv was in a small plane with 3 across seats that hardly reclined. We are most unhappy and will complain to American Express Platinum Card."

Miinukset: "At one point during the flight I took a video out of my window with my camera, a member of the cabin crew barked at me in French. In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."

Miinukset: "One of the engine was smoking just as we took off. This should have been checked beforehand that it was working correctly. The pilot missed the first landing, was going too fast and had to turn around. We circled the London eye 3 times. When we were actually landing it was extremely bumpy and on the way down the plane was tilting back and forth a lot. They were going too fast when we landed as well, I have never been in a plane that has landed so poorly, and I have travelled a lot and used many different airlines. It was worse than any budget airline I've been on. As we were driving back to the terminal, the pilot stopped short for some reason. Things were not explained clearly. I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."

Miinukset: "Checking in was ridiculous. They're charging for literally EVERYTHING now. On economy class you have many options: - Normal (free!) "ergonomic" seats: uncomfortable, narrow, really close to the one in front of you. - Normal (exit row): just give up. There's like 6 of these and they're taken immediately. - Normal (middle of the plane): are you kidding me? These are NORMAL seats and you charge an extra €30? - Normal (2 seats per row!): what a bargain. Same crappy seats, but two people instead of three! This is really worth my money. - Upgrade to business! Why are you so poor! AF food went from being the best in international flights to disgusting microwave food (especially vegetarian)."

I have been to the USA many times and I totally understand this type of interview, but the agent was aggressive, asking questions that were totally irrelevant. She did not even care about why I was going to the USA or where I was staying. Se was rude and I was really unpleased by her attitude saying it was British Airways way off doing interviews. Again I have had many interviews before flying to the USA, never been a bad exerience before"

Miinukset: "No individual video screens. Also our audio did not work ( true of most of one side of plane) so we could not even watch movie on the TINY overhead screen. Reading lights also did not work. We had no options to pass the time for an eight hour flight. The crew was unconcerned about the problem. They seemed grumpy!! This plane should not be used for long haul flights."

Miinukset: "This was a disappointing experience to say the very least. The boarding process in Quito was chaotic to say the least. The AA staff did not make an effort to maintain any kind of order. My husband and I are both enrolled in the AA frequent flyer program and had at least 6 people cut in front of us while on-line. When we finally approached the AA representative, Dayana Gómez, She was rude and not helpful. Our seats on the UIO-Dallas flight did not even recline. We sat completely upright for the duration of the 6 hour overnight night flight into Dallas."
