Plussat: "Amazing crew. Very attentive to passengers and genuinely nice."

Plussat: "My flight attendant, Grace, was delightful. There were several challenging passengers around me and I observed her handle them with the grace of someone who embodied their name—Grace."
Miinukset: "No wifi on board. The plane was one of the older ones, but still perfectly nice."

Miinukset: "I bought my seat assignment in advance, and they did not give me this seat on the plane. Before boarding, I asked at the gate if my new seat was a window--which is what I paid for--and they confirmed yes, my new seat was a window. Turns out, it was not, it was a middle seat. I asked a flight attendant to relocate me to a window seat, which she kindly did, however this seat was quite uncomfortable as I was seated next to a large gentleman who probably should have been required to purchase two seats. Overall, there were two issues with Qatar Airways during this trip: they did not give me the seat I had requested and paid for, and then lied when I asked if my new seat was a window."

Miinukset: "Unfortunately, the plane was late, prompting me to miss my connecting flight. These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."

Miinukset: "The seat from Jakarta to Doha, especially the head/neck holder was uncomfortoble. Too big and stiff and wasn’t on the right possition even though it is adjustable. One of the crew didn’t say anything, not even smile after she opened the curtain between bussiness and economy class at row J K L. She just walked away."

Plussat: "My husband and I recently traveled from New York to Bali Indonesia for our honeymoon. We were upgraded to Business for all four of our flight segments. The flight attendants were incredibly friendly and courteous and were actually surprised when we only ordered one drink and one meal at a time! The food was phenomenal, especially for an aircraft meal, and no matter what I was in the mood for, they had it."

Miinukset: "- Tiny, cramped seats and aisles. I'd heard the Quatar has more leg room than other airlines. This is definitely not true. If the person in front of me reclined all the way, they crushed my knees and I'm only 5'7". - Seat cushions are thin and hard. - baggage check in took a very long time; about 45-60"

Plussat: "The flight service was great. We had a slight delay on the way back to Doha from Heathrow but they made up for it by getting us through security faster so I didn't miss my flight to Tokyo. Overall the timing was excellent and I got home without having to fork out any extra money."

Miinukset: "There's no dedicated Garuda counter for internet checked-in international passengers at Soekarno Hatta T3; you need to queue together with the other passengers. I've put a formal suggestion before to Garuda several months ago; seems nobody care. Gate information is confusing, initially shown gate number at *domestic* terminal; then changed again twice. In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."

Plussat: "Beautiful NEW Terminal at Jakarta!, but Plenty of food outlets. Waiting areas are very large and accommodating. Security area is large and extremely efficient in processing passengers. Security personnel were friendly."
Miinukset: "Due to the enormous inside volume it is impossible to maintain a pleasant air temperature. It's nearly impossible to hear any announcements due to the extremely poor acoustics. The large open spaces and ceramic tile floors aren't conducive to hearing anything! No announcement to the departure time as we were already 20 minutes past the established boarding time as indicated on the boarding pass. I was sitting quite close to the check-in counter and was able to decipher that the boarding process was going to happen soon, so I took a position in the line without any announcement."

As luggage have to be check on again. I do hope they will have auto self transferred in the near future."

The business class lounge was nice but needs a quiet area where people who have long layovers (like us) can lay down and have a darkened room for a bit of rest."
Miinukset: "The seat I was in was very hard and definitely needs more padding. My but was killing me during the flight but the cabin crew helped me by gin I got me 2blankets to fold up and sit on. The pillows are way too big and hard. I recommend paring them down the size they currently are. I was in seat 7-E. The business class bus was last to come so we waited for a long time to get to the plane. Most of economy was boarded before us. But not really a big problem as we did get on the plane with no problem."

Miinukset: "There was a medical emergency on board, so bathrooms did not get the necessary attention. Had to ask for toilet paper for two different bathrooms. Transferring to this flight as a NIGHTMARE. The boarding gate was a long way from the arrival gate. Went through an endless maze. Went through two security check points. At both check points I was sent for pat down. At the first there were five other women who were waiting for pat down. All white women. Discrimination???? At the second security, I had not even passed through the detector and the officer was waving me to get a pat down. At that point I started laughing. Next automated preclearance for immigration, then had to wait in line to talk to immigration officer. It is a miracle that I made it to the flight on time. Passport and boarding pass checked minimum of 6 times in this process. On arrival in Los Angeles, there was a bus ride to the terminal for luggage pick up. My husband was at the terminal I normally come to, I had no way to contact him (Indian sim), no change for pay phone. A fellow passenger was merciful and let me use her phone send husband messages and eventually we met up. I would not use Eithad for India to USA for this reason only. The security and immigration preclearance sucks."

Miinukset: "Overall bad experience with Etihad Airways flying from Dulles to Abu Dhabi. I won't be flying with them again. 1. ETA: I had to apply for an electronic travel authority (ETA) (essentially an electronic tourist visa) twice despite the fact that I had been granted the visa originally by the Government of Australia two weeks prior to my flight. For some reason, airline staff said they could not see the visa information attached to my passport. I showed them the emails from the Government of Australia stating that my application had been successful along with the relevant reference number. The staff told me to apply for another one and let them know once I had. They informed me that this "happened all the time" with their customers traveling to Australia. If it is happening "all the time," Etihad Airways should check their database to ensure there are no glitches. It's Australia, not a third-world country, so it's likely on the Airline's end. The crew did not offer to look up my reference number or otherwise do any leg work to verify the visa that I already had, even when the application page stated that I already had a visa for the relevant time period! This stressed me out just a few hours before I was supposed to take off and could have been handled with a little effort by the staff. 2. Baggage Weight: They are sticklers for baggage weight, weighing your carry-on both prior to check in (it must be under 7 kg) and again right before boarding the plane. Literally no other airline has done this in my entire experience except the cheapo ones. Thankfully, I had a big purse and was able to shift the baggage weight around to get on because they pulled me out of line to board the plane. It's all going on the same plane so it makes no sense at all. This needlessly drags out the boarding process. 3. Crew: They sat a man who was coughing incessantly on my row (I had two empty seats next to me). The crew member accompanied him to my aisle while he told me where he would sit. The crew did not ask me to make space or anything (of course I would have said yes), but this particular gentleman had a cough and made me sick for my trip. I was not happy, and that situation could have been handled so much better. Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and fly with Emirates. They're far better and professional and are similarly priced. Had none of these issues with them. (Added bonus: the food's a lot better as well)."

Miinukset: "Food was mediocre,and while boarding the buisness class and economy lines are chaotic, looks like no one is in charge!"

Plussat: "I was very pleased with this airline. Will try to fly with Etihad again if the opportunity presents itself"

Plussat: "I liked the wider seats and slightly more leg-room on the Abu Dhabi/London leg of the flight, the food was good and the staff pleasant."
Miinukset: "I was randomly picked for an "extra security check" at the Heathrow check-in in Abu Dhabi, which seemed ridiculous after going through the Johannesburg security and x-ray check as well as the Abu Dhabi one, and then having to switch on all of my electronic equipment and be swabbed for what I assume was drugs felt a bit over-the-top."

Miinukset: "It's a connecting flight for me and there is a long wait. so, my opinion is better to serve some snacks or food in the flight."

Plussat: "Everything was OK"
Miinukset: "The e box entertainment options are very limited in terms of movies and tv series"

Miinukset: "My son was sleeping during the meal service, so the crew said that they will put his meal aside. After he woke up we went to the crew and was asking some food then they said that we don't have any option except some bread. The bread is very cold and the food was not at all good. After 3 hours my son was hungry and I went ahead to the crew and was asking some food. But the crews answer was we cannot provide food since we have only some boxes and if we give it to you then we may not have sufficient food left for everyone else. I asked them when is the next meal. They said in few minutes but it took one hour and that meal was also just bread. What kind of airline doesn't provide food for kids when they are hungry. I am very disappointed and I would not recommend Etihad airlines for anyone traveling with children as they won't provide you food when your kid is hungry. Our seat lights were not working and when you press assistance button the crew came after 15minutes."

Plussat: "short trip, crew was efficient, food was warm"

Miinukset: "Food could be improved upon and entertainment system should be available the whole flight"

Plussat: "Overall flight experience was good, but the ground staff need to be more real time responsive and should own responsibility."
Miinukset: "My baggage is still missing and no one is responding to number presented on the sheet in Chicago, very bad. Please get my baggage to me and be kind to the customers in aftermath of the services."

Miinukset: "The flight tickets from AUH to LAX were changed in the middle of the flight from HYD to AUH. This caused lot of travel and pain for my in-laws."

Miinukset: "The food was lacking. Even though it's a short flight they could have offered more than a muffin and a yogurt."

Plussat: "Overall"
Miinukset: "Impossible to contact on phone. When trying to change seats online but could not, I tried to contact on phone. Not possible at all. Finally had to do in airport when not many choices are not available"

Miinukset: "Luggage claim process"

Plussat: "Super short, but crowded flight."

Plussat: "The crew was very friendly, greeted us with a smile, and were there to help when needed."
Miinukset: "The food was bad. Requested for Asian Vegetarian Meal on Etihad website but was served the vegetarian option. I also heard a passenger complaining that she requested for a vegetarian food but was given a meal with chicken."

Plussat: "Cleaniness , food , entertainment"
Miinukset: "Air hostesses, my daughter asked 3 times for something . They kept saying will give and eventually no manners to come and reply also .. Asked for an extra bun for my 3 year old I was said will come back after the round but again no one came .. Never experienced this with any other flight .. Boarding also with kids was a little difficult when going by bus to the aircraft .. No priorities .. Only pushing .."

Plussat: "The food was pretty good for airline meals. We really made good use of the entertainment system which had many great movies and a kids interactive touchscreen. This entertainment system made the flight! Boarding was quick and easy and the ammenty packagfes (eye covers headphones socks ear plugs etc.) and a kids activity book was also great."
Miinukset: "The bathroom floors were not cleaned often enough and after 10 hours in flight the flight attendants stopped answering the call buttons. Not usually an issue as I like to get up and walk back to request something during long flights but we had children this time and this is harder to do when they are sleeing on you."

Plussat: "The crew was curtious, flight on time, good and clean planes, met all expectations."

Plussat: "Fantastic crew! Good selection for tv, food was good. Baggage checked all the way through, no problems or complaints at all. Will definitely fly Etihad again."

Miinukset: "The crew was not helpful in keeping us informed about the delay, or in helping us make our connections."

Miinukset: "No other options but mostly spicy"

Plussat: "The service"

Plussat: "Connection times and schedule."
Miinukset: "Middle of the day standing in the runway in the sun in the desert inline. That's boarding experience. Who cares for 3rd world traveller right !"

Miinukset: "Too cold in the airplane"

Miinukset: "my suitcase plastic zipper was opened by someone in the ground staff at IGI Delhi and a few items were stolen. something needs to be done about this because I am sure other passengers are losing a lot more"

Plussat: "There was one crew member who was sympathetic to our plight, we appreciated her candor and whatever help she was able to give on this long flight."
Miinukset: "We were forced to sit on foul smelling seats for the 15 hour flight. The only option given to us was to deplane with barely 2 minutes of time to decide as the aircraft doors were being shut. Check-in took more than an hour and 15 minutes with a slow computer system."

Plussat: "Crew service was OK,"
Miinukset: "They make too much fussy about the ledge weight even it was few Lbs. over. they select the worse sits in the plane for my family. Very last row of sits. the worse site in the plane. even though we were the first in the line during the checking. This was the first time was with Etihad."

Plussat: "The seat was really comfortable, food was alright."
Miinukset: "Staff, I've missed my snack when I was sleeping nobody awake me"

Plussat: "The flight was on time. The food was great, seating was comfortable. Crew members were very helpful."

Plussat: "Entertainment choices were good."
Miinukset: "Food was not up to par. It was quite dry. Like the curry served in vegetarian meal was very dry."

Plussat: "Service food n flight intirier"

Miinukset: "Small plane and crowded and services was not good. I had to take two buses to get to the international terminal. I had to wait for a wheelchair for an hour."
