The flight was half an hour late, which is the new normal in Europe. Friendly crew.
We had something like 4 or 5 gate changes, plus a 30 minute delay. The cabin crew as somewhat more brusque than usual. Basically no food on the plane, but that's OK for a flight of this duration.
Didn’t like anything and everything could have been better
The flight never happened and the Kayak customer support was useless in helping me for rebooking. I will never buy another air ticket with Kayak and I want the full refund of the trip. Andrea Mantovani
My bag was delayed as of now by one day, maybe more. Besides, the flight was delayed by one and a half hours.
I will never book kayak again, it looks everything was fine, but when I got to the airport the informed they inform me that I have a reservation but not a ticket. I try to contact kayak never can go through anyone after over 1 hour of trying we discovered thar although they took our credit card information. The card was never charged and we have to buy a whole new ticket.
One flight attendant was amazing, 1st class although she wasn't even in business class. Somehow felt others were tired or mind somewhere else, so not really good service. Choice of food was basic, but good choice of drinks. Plane was comfortable and I think pilot was a woman, which is a nice change. Excellent that there are dividers in the middle seat in business class. Corona restriction rules, like mask wearing rules is extremely wise. Other airlines removed it, but I like better your choice better. Feels safer.
I know it’s covid time, but a small dry snack and a bottle of water would have been nice: ons doesn’t always have rime to buy food while transiting!.
Tiny seats, very cramped for 11 hour flight, the food was terrible - only pasta option, full of grease, cheese and carbs, it tastes awful. No other choice. Tiny cups for water/drinks for over 11 hours of flying. Toilets felt dirty.
It was connect flight in Frankfurt and we check the passports and COVID tests 3 times during the transfer! And the last station at the gate stop my husband and double check his documents

Miinukset: "Had a connecting flight, both were with Lufthansa. There was an hour between the two flights. We went straight to security and immediately to the boarding gate but they had closed the gate and would not let us board, even though there was 15 minutes before the flight was due to leave. We were refused a refund and had to move flights to another airport 2 hours away and then had a 5 hour delay. We lost our car reservation as we would arrive too late to collect, we also couldn't check in to our hotel as planned as the hotel only allow check in until 11pm; we would have got there at 1am, so then had to book another hotel for the night. Airport staff at Lufthansa told us they could not help and told us to go away!"

Miinukset: "Worse travel day of my life. I'll never fly Lufthansa again and never go thru Frankfort again. Lost luggage both ways. Awful experience!! Hundreds of gates and we had to ride a bus out to the plane. Airline kept complaining to passengers that they didn't have enough personnel. Flight was late! Given totally incorrect information about luggage retrieval in Chicago. Not required! Waited 45 minutes for luggage that was not there and was supposed to be headed to Houston but did not arrive there either. Still waiting..."

I bought the premium economy ticket. It was an older plane and the seats were older as well. There was no dedicated restroom for premium. Found the crew to be okay. Won’t take this flight again.
Fly was delayed and we missed connection flight. Connection flight was rescheduled and that flight got delayed for more then hour
Fantastic plane and top notch crew. Departed on time and arrived early. Classy flight!

It was three hours delayed. If they knew people were delayed from other planes they shouldn’t have boarded us yet. We spent two hours just waiting on the plane
There was no entertainment. Lost my checked that went from Las Vegas to Los Angeles instead of Syracuse.
A little puddle jumper to go to SFO from LAX seems strange to me. Its cramped and slower than just taking SWA from BUR. Its a little bitty plane, and the added time with the baggage, transferring on the buses and all the extra time needed for these things just don't add up to a quick and dirty business trip.
Plussat: "Multiple gate changes (boarding pass gate did not match the departure screens in the terminal. I spoke with an AA employee. He was very rude while confirming the gate information) and several flight delays. By the time we boarded the plane, still departed another 30 min later."

Plussat: "I am handicapped so I was concerned about my walker and ability to use stairs etc. The crew on the plant and boarding area couldn’t have been more helpful. I was impressed by the comfortable seats and friendly stewardesses. After the plane landed the first officer went to get my walker so I didn’t have to wait."

Miinukset: "A passenger caused a delay in security, and as I'm rushing for the gate, the agent closed the door and told me I couldn't board. She then marked me as a no-show, while she was standing right next front of her. I had to spend the next 4 hrs on the phone, trying to get my tickets sorted out. Then, upon arriving at Heathrow,... No luggage. They told me it was still in Chicago. Upon finally receiving my bags, I find them full of sawdust and sand, and several items damaged. I will NEVER fly American Airlines again, and I will highly recommend to my friends and family to avoid them like them plague. Horrible service! Nothing but a run-around and not once did the agents apologise, even after admitting that my problems on this journey were due to a mistake made by one of their agents."

Miinukset: "I purchased a flight two weeks ago to depart at 11am from lax I checked in at 10:30 where they told me It was too late for me to check in they gave me another flight departing at 4pm (free of charge) weird right? Very disappointed since I always fly and check in 30 minutes before. I didn’t have any luggage with me either I do not think it’s fair and I will not be flying American Airlines/Alaskan airlines ever again."

Plussat: "Crew made the best of a bad situation: originally planned plane with sold-out seats replaced by a smaller one -- BAD! Extra kudos for crew for creative swapping to move me to an emergency row seat when I discovered that my **extra-charge** aisle seat was damaged and unusable. Food & beverage service -- adequate, timely (though some nutrition concerns.) Good, current entertainment selections."
Miinukset: "The obvious -- the switch to a smaller plane, causing some passengers great distress; not realizing that a sold seat was damaged; selling me that damaged seat, and at a premium. Food nutrition -- tasty, but carb-heavy, fatty and salty. Bathrooms -- became rather smelly and unkempt toward last 1/4th of 9+ hour flight."

Miinukset: "We arrived on time but this is the 9th Flight in A row into PHILADELPHIA that we can’t Find an open Gate. Then we just sit and wait 15 to 30 minutes! No other airport that we travel To has this problem!"

Miinukset: "The aisles are very narrow with the food carts constantly banging into my arm as I was seated in an aisle seat. . One of the 2 nearby bathrooms was out of order, which led to a rather long line awaiting to use same."

Plussat: "We flew with 4 different airlines on our trip to New Zealand and American Airlines was by far the best. We were comfortable and had plenty of good food and free entertainment. I would fly with American Airlines again."

Miinukset: "I don't usually do reviews, but this experience has prompted me too. I usually pick American over other airlines even if the price is slightly higher but after this last fiasco I doubt I will fly with them again. From the start of the trip there was a delay. I was told that I would have to stay in a hotel in Charlotte because I would miss my connecting flight. I agreed and waited for my flight that was nearly 2 hours late. I arrived in Charlotte and retrieved my bag as instructed and went to the counter. The lady then stated that it was probably best if I tried to get on the last remaining flight even though it showed sold out because "there have been delays all day and plenty of people have been missing their connecting flights". So I rechecked my bag and headed to the game. This flight was delayed, as it was the last for the night, so that all the connecting flights could be made. Okay, that is fair enough....even though I didn't get to board and now I no longer had my bag as this is now on the plane. 30 minutes after the plane left I finally get my voucher for motel along with a $12 voucher for food that can only be used in the terminal restaurants......which are now closed for the night. After 30 minutes of trying to contact the hotel for shuttle information I was advised that they were no longer taking airline vouchers. I , again, approached the ticket counter and I was advised that I "would just have to wait because there are no rooms in the system at this time." And none of this instruction seemed professional or accommodating. After another hour I was approached that now there are no other options in their system for accommodations and I would have to pursue options on my own. So......the higher priced one way ticket just became $100 more at no fault of my own."
