Miinukset: "I was disappointed that the two female flight attendants on my side (seats A&B) did not come across friendly, and any request appeared to be a bother. At one point I requested bread and butter, the flight attendant seemed annoyed and said if she can find some, and never came back to me. I went to the galley, where a male flight attendant was working on something. I requested some bread and butter from him, was met with s smile, and was able to locate a roll and butter for me in under a min. Please note, I do not think this was a gender issues, it just happens to be the situation with this case, and I specified it as I do not know the names of the flight attendants, but the airline should be able to identify who was working the different sections."

Check-in bag drop was extremely slow, another couple of desks were needed to keep the process moving more quickly. We were there more than 2 hours early and were standing in line nearly all of that time."

Miinukset: "We missed our flight from Istanbul to New York. The gate was changed while we were waiting at the assigned gate. No announcements were made about the gate change. We ended up stranded in Istanbul. The Turkish Airlines representatives were very rude and not helpful at all. They told me that we needed to purchase new tickets. My 14 year old and I were in Istanbul, Turkey with no way home. After hours on the phone with their customer service and many repeated phone calls and many collect phone calls to the United States, my mother was finally able to secure new plane tickets for $2000 one way for us to return to the states. We were in the airport for 24 hours before we could board a flight to make our way home. A few days after we arrived back is when the terrorist attacks occurred. I have been plagued with flashbacks of our time in the Istanbul airport. I feel that Turkish Airlines could have done a better job at trying to accommodate us in a time of desperation. I have been reluctant to contact them upon my return and a friend offered to call on my behalf and was treated in the same disrespectful manner. I would hate to think that Turkish Airlines could be representative of the people of Turkey. I can't imagine that Turkey or the citizens of this beautiful country could treat visitors in such a fashion. I appreciate your time in reading about our personal and devastating experiences during our trip that was to have been the trip of a lifetime with my son."

Miinukset: "The layover arrangements were a shame. No proper accommodation was provided despite having over a 24 hour wait period. I along with other passengers were stacked in dorm style non barricaded rooms in 1.5ft wide beds like animals. It was in total poor taste. Half the Turkish Air employees I approached at the Airport for help with directions and clarifications were dismissive to the point of being obnoxious. Walking through the airport, all I could think was what a disorganized and hard to navigate airport it was. It was an unpleasant experience and I will never recommend Turkish Airline to anyone. It was my first Turkish air, and it will be my last."

Both waited on the tarmac for the plane to be ready and both busses opened the doors at the same time. The families were swamped while trying to load the plane with kids in tow."

Miinukset: "Delay at departure in Frankfurt - fuel tank problem- made people miss their connection flights. Medical problem on board caused delays and me having to change seats at the end to where the sick woman used to sit - smelled of vomit, gross. 3 crying bwbies for 12 hours. Seats too narrow, room in front too small with table pulled out. LH always good but not this time."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

The seats seem bigger...or maybe it is more leg room than some other airlines. I did not upgrade and was very comfortable."

Miinukset: "We were changed from KLM to Airiltalia without any information sent so only because I tried to check in did I find out the flight on KLM was cancelled and we were changed to Airitalia. The Airitalia flight was very mediocre."

I'm his mother, I'm currently visiting family in Scotland, so couldn't help him much. I'm pretty disgusting and disappointed by the whole experience."

Miinukset: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

When asked to see if wevcould bd placed together she sarcastically commented that we had bought our flight through expedia and if we had dome it directky with AA we might have been together. Shame on her comment! AA offers their flights to many companies snd I now wonder if her comment is true, which makes me consider next time I choose an airline. In Buenos Aires when We checked in something similar happened and we could not book our seats the day before bcause they were all taken . The answer was if we wanted a better seat we’d have to pay because only back seats are available in economy and AA waits forbthose whi pay first and only then they”ll give us a seat. I”ve travelled several times with AA and feel the service is not worth the money I pay for it. The food on our flight back to BA was not good st all. However , I have to point out that all my flights BA to N Y, N Y to Mia and Mia BA left on time. On the whole it was good but I believe AA cares onñy about money and I feel disappointed"

I've had screens in front of me for hour long flights. Left 30 minutes late with no indication as to why. Just one of the most uncomfortable flights I've had in a long time."

The last flight the man reclined before we even took off and he was not instructed to put his seat up. There is no room for the tray table when the person reclines in front of you. Miinukset: "Takeoff was 2 hours delayed because we were waiting for the first officer. Surely this could have been anticipated and resolved earlier. The crew was inappropriately familiar with the passengers. We are not friends, and I prefer a bit of professional distance. The seats are designed for VERY tall people; my feet were swinging, as were those of everyone in my row. It was quite uncomfortable."

Miinukset: "I STRONGLY dislike how the airline acts as if they are the immigration and they demanded that I buy a very expensive plane ticket to show that I would be leaving Argentina within 3 months. There are so many expats in Buenos Aires and they all buy tickets in Argentina to go to Uruguay within 3 months. Upon showing the immigration of Argentina my USA passport at the entry, they have NEVER asked me for any kind of proof that I would be leaving within 3 months. At first I started to purchase a ticket to Uruguay by boat and the attendant even asked me the website of the boat because she told me that these problems come up all the time for expats going to Argentina for longer than 3 months. You are ONLY AN AIRLINE. YOU ARE NOT THE IMMIGRATION OF ARGENTINA. Having this said, I never plan to fly Avianca again."

Miinukset: "One of the reasons I typically avoid flying on American Airlines is because they have a mostly older fleet which means uncomfortable seat and poor, or in this case no in flight entertainment."

Miinukset: "Every single flight (4 total) took off late and even caused us to miss a connection. On the way to Madrid from Entebbe, my luggage was mislabeled and sent to London and now is completely lost. It has been two days of a trip of having no clothes, shoes, or toiletries other than what I had on my person. And I have yet to hear from anyone with Ethiopian Airlines, only representatives from Madrid airport."

Miinukset: "Crew members paying more attention to the passengers, more option of food, being on time and cleaning after another flight."

Miinukset: "Flight delays with no info from staff. Food poorly prepared. No orderly queues - there is aggression with no intervention from staff. There is no need for two security checks when making connections in Addis. Plane loos were all very stinky and dirty. I now remember why I had stopped using ET!"

Miinukset: "It took 45 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to my call despite me calling dor assistance every 10 min. I had an issue with my tv screen and was not able to use the in flight entertainment I am very dissatisfied with such poor care and professionalism from your staff. This was something that should not have taken 45 min to get solved and even worse despite the call light being on multiple flight attendants walked by and did not even bother to question why the call light was on"

Plussat: "we had an overnight stay in addis ababa so we got a free accommodation in town, that was so great, a chance to see town and get a good night sleep before our next flight. the plane is big with screens so you can watch movies, the seat is comfortable, even for a tall guy like me (1.9 m)."
Miinukset: "It did took a lot of time since we landed until we got our bus to take us to town to our hotel. we waited in the airport for more than one hour, it was late, and we were tired. but after we got to the hotel, it was perfect"

Plussat: "I like the crew of Ethopian Airlines, they are very friendly & attentive. Flight was delayed but not by AE fault. We made up most of the time & arrived only 15 minutes behind schedule"

Miinukset: "The whole thing was a disaster. I lost my connection flight due to incompetence from the Ethiopian airlines representative"

Plussat: "I like that the bulkhead seats (typically where the baby bassinet is placed) have electrical outlets which I used to easily charge my phone; and that there is nice legroom space."
Miinukset: "Economy is a bit tight; the bidding process for Cloud Nine (business class) has reduced the chance of passengers being upgraded for free especially as a means to reward frequent flyers, or help passengers with special needs/accommodations."

Miinukset: "Besides that the flight was 4 hours delayed and the staff gave different information then the screen, customer service was non existant. There seems to be no structure or system. Gate change was not announced. Staff was not clear or direct about status of the flight. I have had several flights with EA and most have been completely disappointing and frustrating. Forget trying to call anyone, it took me 4 days of non stop calls to connect with someone to change my flight date. Then once connected the credit card system was apparently down and they could not charge my fee. I had to contact the US office while I was in Africa in order to get anything done, ridiculous. They over charged me and would not honor the fees that were quoted on the phone and via email but the head office. Dishonest and no concern for the inconvenience to their customers. This airline would be the last choice, highly not recommended."

Miinukset: "At the Addis airport, it seems chaos reigns! My flight was never listed on any display to say what gate we departed from. A crowd of people boarding for two different planes just rushed the gate area. I’ve got no idea how everyone ended up on the right plane. My flight was never announced I had to keep going up to ask over and over. The bathrooms at the airport are unhygienic and the available food is abysmal. On the plane was better except that the only entertainment is over head screens that didn’t work my overnight flight was miserable as the lights were on the whole time and they repeatedly woke me up to eat throughout the flight. I’ll do what I can to avoid the Addis airport from now on."

Plussat: "That I finally had an on time flight with Ethiopian airlines, having suffered through an absolutely miserable outbound flight"
Miinukset: "On connecting from Bangkok to Nairobi passengers are funneled into a security waiting area with no water, coffee, duty free shopping- absolutely nothing but dirty toilets- for a 2+ hour layover. Bole airport is surely one of the most disfunctional airports on the planet."

Miinukset: "80's airplane. Old. Seats not that comfortable, a bit dirty."

Miinukset: "I sent them an email about an issue with my flight but they didn't get back to me"

Plussat: "Other than the luggage issue, it was a great flight."
Miinukset: "I purchased this ticket as ONE ticket--Ethiopian Air to Dubai, and then flydubai to Amman. Ethiopian Air wouldn't check my luggage to my final destination, so in Dubai, for a 3 hour layover, I had to go through immigration, exchange money, and take a taxi for 30 minutes through rush-hour traffic to a different terminal. That is ridiculous. Don't sell it as one ticket if the two airlines won't cooperate together."

Miinukset: "Chairs were not reclining. Asked for blanket and didn't get one so I was cold."

Plussat: "New plane."
Miinukset: "Addis airport is always a mess. Security check takes 30 mins+, gates are changed without announcements and there are no display mentioning flight or destination at the gate. For the flight, food not great and service slow."

Plussat: "POLITE AND GENTLE CREWS. SERVICE WITH A SMILE. AIR FARE REASONABLE COMPARED TO OTHER AIRLINES"
Miinukset: "IF FARE IS CHEAP THAN THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE SERVICES SHOULD BE POOR"

Miinukset: "They almost didnt let me on the plane after THEY messed up by not including my ticket number on my ticket. I had to call my parents in Washington DC from Nairobi, have them drive out to Dulles airport and work it out at the Ethiopian office there to give the OK for me to get checked in in Nairobi. The whole process took about four hours and three managers all while I was stewing, worried I wouldnt make it on my flight."

Plussat: "Friendly crew very responsive."

Plussat: "The comforts offered in business class was most standard. In other words quite good. The food was middling. Also, 12 plus hours on a plane requires a larger selection of films. Finally, add wi fi."

Plussat: "Paid about 1000 round trip. Staff was attentive and respectful specially addis to LA. New aircraft was good and comfortable."
Miinukset: "Entertainment needs to have more recent blockbuster. Food variety should be expanded, need more choice"

Miinukset: "The food was horrible. My TV didn't work and although I asked for it to be reset several times, the crew kept forgetting. The flight was supposed to be 9 hours, but we left late and it was 11+ hours. I understand things happen, but the crew gave no explanation for the delay or elongated flight. Last, but not least, when we landed in Newark we waited 2 hours for our luggage to come out. We landed at 9:50pm and didn't receive our baggage until 11:50pm. My friend and I were not even the last to get our bags. Overall this was the worst flight experience I've ever had."

Miinukset: "Poor variety of food, it's either take it or leave it! Make sure to order your food while booking or get ready to suffer!"

Plussat: "The seats were good, the flight was comfortable and easy. Flight attendents were friendly and proffessional."
Miinukset: "Food could be better but I don't expect much on an airplane, the media system is a bit old so you don't have a lot of options but it's OK."

Miinukset: "Customer service was horrible. Cancelled a trip within 24 hours of booking but put me through hours of waiting on the phone for assistance and still charged a 300 dollar fee. Our ticket was somehow suspended BY THEM so we had to call an office in a different country to unsuspeND then we were able to cancel. No help at all and kept dodging responsibility and forwarding the problem to other offices. Would book a different airline to avoid unneeded stress."

Miinukset: "The basement waiting area at the Addis Ababa airport was very cold and the toilets were dirty and smelly as well The crew were unfriendly and unreasonable the time of alighting"

Miinukset: "Other travelers kept walking through our aisle, which was not an aisle. Therefore I was constantly getting bumped in the middle of the night waking me up. This area needs to be roped off to make other passengers walk around as to not disturb people sitting in that row. I arrived at my destination completely exhausted due to lack of sleep. Ethiopian Air provides horrible service."
