The boarding was delayed due to crew being late.
The flight was three hours delayed and instead of having us wait to board we waited two hours in the plane before take off. For the future if they know connection flights are delayed they should have us wait outside
American Airlines customer service was extremely poor. They canceled our flights multiple times. Then put us on standby trying to get on flights instead of booking us on a confirmed flight to get us home. So flight after flight we kept our hopes up just to be disappointed and stuck from a connecting flight. We had never been to Dallas so we were sleeping on the floor at the airport waiting to get home.

Miinukset: "The flight attendants were friendly, watched a movie, thanks for the ear buds to listen to the movie. There was a lot of turbulence but I feel our pilot managed it very well bringing us in safely and smoothly as possible. I can't think of anything that could have been improved on."

Miinukset: "Seats are too tight. Board from the outsides in, not front to back. Windows seats in the back go first (after first class, ADA, etc), and fill the cheap seats back to front. As it is, literally everyone with an aisle seat ends up on first and overheads fill before people have a chance to know, requiring a lot of against-the-flow foot traffic and delays pushing away from gate."

No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever."

(My day didn't end until I'd been up more than 32 hours.) Crew from the late arriving flight should have announced the connecting flight delay well before landing at DFW. The flight should have been held for 20 minutes, as it appeared that the majority of the passengers affected were able to clear customs and arrive at the gate in time. Headphone jack had a very poor connection. Plane was dirty."

AA did not successfully change our reservation when the initial leg of our trip was delayed by an hour due to a fuel issue, which caused us to miss your connection in Chicago. Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays."

Ok that is there policy but we ran to the terminal E95, for our Flight to Portland which had actually had not left and they were actually holding it for another person. So Air Canada lied about our flight leaving and that there was not another one till the next day. Overall I will never go to this airport nor will I use Air Canada ever again."

I was asked to take my headphones off during the safety speech, which I did. I put them back on after the speech and was yelled at. The lady in front of me had a dog. The lady across from me was talking on her cell phone. And the kids behind me were playing games on their iPad with no headphones and the sound on. No one said anything to them. Screw this airline."
Miinukset: "This Air Canada flight was operated by Lufthansa and was cancelled due to the strike. So, this means that I am still in Germany which is not the worst place in the world to be stuck, especially because my parents live here. So a few day longer are not a problem for me, but if it takes a week, it is not good because I am supposed to be at work and I am using up vacation I had planned to spent with my family."
Plussat: "Nice friendly staff in plane, and experienced staff at airport (unlike in Okinawa, Tokyo and Osaka). Nice to be able to recheck bags and clear US customs in Vancouver, BC thanks to the US section of the terminal, so that we didn't have to do that upon arrival in Portland."

Understandable when the plane was actually experiencing turbulence but most of the time it was a smooth flight. Know there are regulations concerning this but I feel she could have been a bit nicer in her tone. Thankfully there was an empty seat just outside the toilet so that I could sit but anyone who arrived after me was told to return to their seat. When nature calls, sometimes it's impossible to walk very far."

I got to my gate 40 min. before takeoff (it was 15 min. delayed). Upon boarding I was told my seat was given away. They assumed I would miss my flight. I had to wait another 4 hr. to board a flight to Vancouver BC leaving 11pm. I had to go to a hotel at 2 am and take a 8:50 am flight to PDX. Before boarding I was again stopped because my ticket didn't have the proper security stamp. The agent there was extremely rude and condescending. This was a terrible experience!"

Miinukset: "On the flight from Portland to Vancouver, someone was allowed to board the plane and then leave, with no explanation, no accompaniment, and no way of contacting him. Consequently, our flight was delayed 3 hours while police and bomb squads checked the plane and all the baggage. Why was this person allowed to disembark in the first place? This occurred during boarding, so there should have been attendants there to stop him or at least ask him where he was going. And once he did disembark, why was no one able to track where he went? Seems like an odd security breach and, ultimately, a huge inconvenience for the passengers who remained on the plane."

If I'd know it was going to be 3 hours, I would have maybe gotten some food and wandered away to find a place that had a spot to sit. Instead, standing on one foot and then the other, hungry for three house while Air Canada got their #@%*# together and found a plane that actually functioned appropriately."
Miinukset: "The final leg of our travel boarded over 2 hours late. No compensation given for that. Two planes were declared not fly worthy-low confidence. While not Air Canada's responsibility, Toronto's Pearson Airport was awful. We went through many airports on our travels and this stood out as the worst. Constant security checks that seemed unnecessary. Poor line management. Not enough security/immigration kiosks. Very expensive food. During our 2+hour delay for boarding, we observed constant gate changes for other flights. Flight organization seems poor."

Of course the hotel only take you until 12pm so I spend so many hours in the airport waiting for re ticketing they told us to be at 6pm we wait and I got my ticket leaving at 9.45pm but the crew come one hour and half late. From Panama to Lima flight was late . I had a conference very important to be Saturday morning, I lost my investment and relationships with the company I was going to start a business there excuse was they couldn’t relay on my punctuality, honestly. I got there more than a day and half LATE. If you ask me how was my trip I will tell you horrible and I can’t recommend anybody, this company doesn’t have any personality at all"

I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."

There were no plugs for computers in the back of the plane and I got stuck between a fat person to my left and a fat person in front of me who leaned their seat back as far as possible. Miinukset: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."
Plussat: "The crew was courteous, the pilot was the best one out of the 4 flights I had taken that weekend."
Miinukset: "We used to get more for our money. 20 minutes isn't enough time to use the restroom and find and eat food after hauling from one terminal to another on the light rail. Then we are given a mystery snack mix and a drink, I remember we used to get meal service for flights that long. Boarding was very confusing for people in groups 3, 4, & 5 as we were all grouped in one line. Group 3 was called and 4 & 5 tried to board. A simple PA saying that group 3 should be in line first would help the confusion. The lady performing the boarding call was rude. Saying "I don't care I will just take thier bags and check them, they don't have a choice". That's a great way to start an argument. Then the seat pitch is awful, I'm not the only person flying that is over 6ft tall. My knees were directly impacting the meal tray arms of the seat in front of me the entire flight. Shorter flights weren't bad, but sitting on the ramp waiting for takeoff for at least 30 minutes plus the flight time was pretty painful."
Miinukset: "Again, seats are too close front to back."
Plussat: "The crew was very nice and polite. Service was prompt and excellent"
Miinukset: "Excessively long layovers. I came home with 3 broken ribs and had to endure a 11 hour layover in Japan and another 6 hour layover in San Francisco."
Miinukset: "The boarding process is ridiculously slow. Why not load from the back row first? Then you wouldn't have 150 people behind one slowpoke. You could cut the boarding process time by 90%."
Plussat: "Due to a computer error there was a slight delay on take off. However, the flight crew bought us a tasty beverage for the inconvience. Kudos to the flight attendant as she had a short amount of time to provide our service and did a wonderful job. Thank you."
Plussat: "Boarding was very organized"
Miinukset: "There were 2 flight attendants. Male and female. The female flight attendant was rude and appeared in a bad mood. And did not offer food to me. I hadnt eaten at all. I was in the very last row. And when the food cart approached she just wheeled right past without asking me. Then we i tried to get her attention she looked annoyed and ignored me. So i just ate ice cubes. It was unacceptable. I could hear her bickering at the other flight attendants in the back. It was so unprofessional."

Plussat: "I asked if I could buy headphones on the plane and they gave me a pair for free! I had the Tapas snack box and it was tasty and I was full afterwards."
Miinukset: "Only 1 of my 2 large plane flights had a personal TV. I also didn't know I had to download the App to watch free entertainment in light on my personal device so it prompted me to purchase Internet so that I could download the app"
Miinukset: "Bad cancellation policy. I would've been charged over $200 to cancel a single leg of my journey (no other changes or add'l flight). Would not do business with United again."
Miinukset: "The plane was fully loaded and sitting at the gate before take off due to a paperwork issue. Finally departed about 30 minutes late. Upon arrival we were held on the plane for another 20 minutes with the fear of "tail tipping". Grateful that we didn't have a connection to make but really astounded. This is an airline, getting people around is what they do. These seem to be poor planning and execution issues (i.e.- not weather related) ."
Plussat: "Good communication and polite."
Plussat: "Overall okay everything was on time."
Miinukset: "There was no entertainment, no power outlet on one flight, they charge for access to there Internet. No Tvs on the back of the seats"
Plussat: "I appreciated that we boarded quickly. Again the crew was great!"
Miinukset: "We were assigned seats that didn't recline, and we'd been travelling since 4:30am Pacific time. Flight was full so we were stuck. Our electrical outlet was smashed and unusable to charge my phone, which I needed for sending work emails and contacting clients. I was surprised that there was no free content on the tvs. I actually just wanted to see the map and it required I pay."
Plussat: "Crew was great even on overnight flight"
Plussat: "The crews everyone was caring, respectful, and professional. I don't see anything to improve, they are that good, including the pilots!"
Miinukset: "I can't think of anything really."
Plussat: "Same as above...was put on a direct flight on Alaska. Luggage arrived later in Portland but delivered professionally to my home that afternoon."
Plussat: "Loved that the steward did everything possible to make sure that my service animal and I were completely comfortable for the flight."
Miinukset: "When I checked in the attendant tried to charge my service animal as a pet, even though I called in advance to let united know I was traveling with my service animal."
Plussat: "Professional staff"
Miinukset: "Last minute gate change no notification. Plane was filthy even with 25 minute boarding delay, air coming from the supposed fresh air was full of lubricating oil smell. Seat would not recline as a disabled passenger with ruptured discs in my neck and back, this was more than an inconvenience it was very painful. At 6foot 2 inches tall my legs did not fit between the seats, plenty of foot room not enough space between rows. Miserable is an understatement the pain from the flight will certainly be very real for days after. Never United airlines again I will campaign against anyone flying United airlines!!"
Miinukset: "I cannot boo up to wifi so was unable to enjoy any entertainment."
Plussat: "I appreciated full cans of soda."
Miinukset: "I tried getting on the stand by list on my phone web browser, but found out later that I was not. This process could be made much clearer and easier."
Plussat: "The flight attendants were all super kind."
Miinukset: "My flight was delayed by three hours, but I understand that's not United's flight. Although, the airplane wasn't cleaned sufficiently. The tray next to me had crust on it from a previous passenger...it was gross."
Plussat: "On time and people nice"
Miinukset: "Everything. Very good"
Miinukset: "It was delayed by 3 hrs"
Miinukset: "The flight attendant was rude to me while I was boarding. There was room for my carry on in the overhead compartment but she told me I had to keep my bag under the seat in front of me. There was also an extremely overweight person next to me, I couldn't lean back.I had to ride the entire flight on the edge of the seat stooped over. They should have made the large man buy 2 seats."
Plussat: "Eplenty of leg room. Very nice flight, no complaints,nothing I didn't like"
Miinukset: "My seat was changed within a half hour of my flight and I wasn't notified until right before I boarded and had to refresh my e-ticket. I wouldn't have waited for group 5, when in reality I was group 3. and then because of this I had to turn over my carryon because no room for group 5 carryons. Also I like to have an aisle seat, and was squished into a window seat."
