Budjettimatkailijan kannattaa etsiä lentolippuja Splitiin kesäkauden ulkopuolelle. Esimerkiksi keväisin lennot ovat kesäkautta edullisemmat ja kaupungissa vierailevat pääsevät jo nauttimaan pehmeän lämpimästä säästä.
  • Mikäli unelmoit pidennetyn viikonlopun vietosta Splitissä, kaupunkiin on paras lentää keväällä, kesällä tai syksyllä. Suoria lentoja Helsinki-Vantaan lentokentältä Splitin lentoasemalle liikennöidään huhti- ja lokakuun välillä, ja lentoja tarjoavat Finnair ja Norwegian. Talvikaudella kaupunkiin on matkattava vaihtokenttien kautta. Suorat lennot kaupunkiin kestävät vain noin kolme tuntia, joten merenläheinen kaupunkilomakohde on hyvä valinta viikonloppulomalle. Vaivattomien lentojen ansiosta säästät energiaa Splitissä kiertelyyn.
  • Lennot Splitiin saapuvat Splitin lentoasemalle (Zračna luka Split), joka sijaitsee noin 21 kilometrin päässä kaupungin keskustasta. Lentokentältä keskustaan liikennöi niin julkisen liikenteen busseja kuin lentokenttäbussejakin. Paras valinta nopeaa ja helppoa kulkuyhteyttä etsivälle on Pleso Prijevoz -bussiyhtiön liikennöimä lentokenttäbussi, joka on keskustassa noin puolessa tunnissa. Bussimatkan hinta on noin 40 Kroatian kunaa (noin 5,40 euroa). Splitissä linjan päätepiste on kaupungin pääbussiasema. Halutessasi voit ostaa lentokenttäbussin liput etukäteen netin kautta.   • Edullista kulkuyhteyttä etsivälle julkiset liikennevälineet ovat lentokenttäbussia parempi vaihtoehto. Lentokentän lähellä on bussipysäkki, jolta voi nousta linjojen 37 ja 38 busseihin. Bussi 37 kulkee Splitin ja Trogirin väliä ja bussilinja 38 puolestaan kulkee lentokentältä Kastel Stariin ja Splitiin. Paikallisliikenteen bussimatkan hinta on noin 20 kunaa (noin 2,70 euroa). Paikallisbussipysäkki ei sijaitse terminaalin edessä, vaan pysäkille on lentokentältä noin viiden minuutin kävelymatka. (Tiedot tarkistettu 22.6.2018.)
  • Kroatia on EU-maa, mutta Schengen-alueeseen se ei kuulu. Niinpä Splitin kentällä on varauduttava esittämään henkilöllisyystodistus. Et tarvitse Kroatian lomalle välttämättä mukaan passia, sillä myös virallinen henkilökortti sopii matkustusasiakirjaksi.

After our minor altercation, the food on the two legs from Dammam and then on to Atlanta was very bad. I am not very picky with food and like just about anything. However, I was unable to eat the food served in 2 out of 3 meals. My time on Frankfurt was also not very pleasant. I will most likely try to avoid Lufthansa in the future."

Miinukset: "There are no queues. A free for all to load and unload the plane. If you are looking for Swiss order, look elsewhere. Nothing is free, not water (1.5 euro) or any other beverages or anything else. We paid double what the flight should cost to not even be offered water. The seats were lightly padded to maximize seats. There was a small amount of leg room but some. No power outlets, wifi or media. The worst aspect is I bought a flight on Baltic Air from Tallinn to Riga and had the price from Riga to Paris on the next tab on kayak. I bought the ticket from Tallin to Riga then flipped to buy Riga to Paris only to learn it was a bait price. The price was actually $200 more. Baltic would not refund the first flight (within minutes) so we were stuck to either walk away from our 2 tickets to Riga or pay the bait and switch rate. We begrudgingly paid 400 (200 each) euro MORE than the initial price shown so we could fly out of Riga back to Paris (to be back in Paris by Jan 7). A non alcoholic beverage, a small snack, and power access would be helpful. Ground crew helping with order would be helpful. I was shoved and run over trying to get onto and off the plane. It is the wild west of flying except the plane is new...oh, and it is 30 euro if you do not check in online ahead. But you will still need to stand in line to check a bag (where they can issue you a boarding pass)."

BT444, 18:30-19:50... he just stood there watching me struggle up the outside staircase into the plane with my suitcase... scolded me for bringing suitcase on board, argued with me, etc. (I've traveled the world and this suitcase is always brought on board)... he was not service-oriented or helpful. thankfully, other staff did help... but he left a bad taste in my mouth for this airline."

Miinukset: "They overbooked the flight and without any apologies on their behalf or without even informing me, they stop me and my fiance at the gate and just told is that we can not go to the flight I book and prepay 4 month at advance! The only solution that they can offer me was to travel from Riga to Moscow and than to Tel Aviv. It become 12 hours traveling across 4 countries ( we arrived form Stockholm) instead of 5 hours flight as it was supposed to! I'm not recommending to travel with that company it can not be trusted!"

Miinukset: "In Stockholm they denied my boarding to Riga and Moscow as they told me that I need Shengen visa. When I was buying ticket I wasn't informed that I need to have Visa. I always travel through Europe with layovers and never have this issue before. I had to buy another ticket straight to Moscow and wait in the airport for 8 hours. I ask to reimburse me half of the price of this ticket."

They did put me on this flight but didn't give any assistance to help me with another connecting flight because it was a different company. Voucher for a cup of coffee didn't cover all the troubles I had to go through."

But apparently for Norwegian one has to purchase food and drinks on top of the ticket, otherwise you don't even get served water in a 7 hour flight, which is completely ridiculous. Do you really the 2$ from a passenger for some water? Btw, I pre-purchased food and water. It's the fact that the people who sat next to me didn't get served water when I received food and drinks that made me very uncomfortable."

My husband had bug bites on his feet. I ordered a sandwich from online monitor and received a very different sandwich, when I asked flight attendant he said, the picture its just an illusion. Very unprofessional and misleading information to passengers."

Miinukset: "The flight was very late, the crew was nonexistent. I only got 1 cup of water during a 7 Hour flight. No snacks were offered and the lateness from this flight made me miss my connecting flight."
Plussat: "Food was pretty good considering it’s airline food. Featured the headrest flaps for more comfort when you doze off. Decent movie and show choices. I like the way you can order snacks, drinks or even duty free items on the display and have them quickly."
Miinukset: "Not very quick in picking up the trash. Tray tables too low."
Miinukset: "Kind of a bumpy landing and the flight was delayed. Baggage check in terminals were down as well, which caused quite a bit of delay"
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed 4 hours was unable to catch my connecting flight in London to Barcelona. Had to buy another flight ticket in London, wait another day, pay for a night a hotel to get to my destination in Barcelona. I was supposed to arrive in Barcelona on Saturday April 1st and did not get there until 2 the following day. Will not use this service again."
Plussat: "The Dreamliner is a great plane and it's as comfortable as you can expect from an Economy flight. Entertainment options are limited but sufficient. Check-in and boarding are very efficient. Overall, flying Norwegian is a good experience."
Miinukset: "- Dehydration: In a 12 hour flight, there wasn't any single drink offered outside of the meal ones. Seriously, 12 hours without bringing water to people? It's great to have higher air quality for better jet lag, but water is prime in that regard. It seems to be a recurring pattern in this flight, no water service. Of course, you can just go and walk up to them and ask for water, but chances are you will get frown at for the annoyance. - Upset staff: Another passenger was seating on my seat when I boarded and asked me to swap places so that he wouldn't have to move. I agreed, and I notified the flight attendants of the change so they knew where to take the meals. I thought I was being nice to them, but I still got rolling eyes and lost stares whenever they came for meal service and they had to revisit the situation. I don't get it."
Plussat: "Nothing"
Miinukset: "I missed my flight waiting at the wrong gate( there was another flight to Stockholm, my connecting city, being conducted by another airline) I did not notice until it was too late. The airline neglected to offload my checked luggage, refused to do accommodate me with a change fee and now has lost my bag and has no idea where it is."
Miinukset: "I would definitively avoid using this airline again. Multiple fctors. One kf them is the poor attending by the crew. Really bad service, water..3$?? Blanket 5$?? If you dont pay for food before your flight, crew totally ignores you when the deliver. They should offer a cup of water as minimum"
Plussat: "The entertainment system was pretty good."
Miinukset: "I bought the ticket at the last minute and couldn't pre-pay for luggage or food. The food cost me and my companion $50 for sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Even water and soda is $3 for a small can. If you want a blanket, they charge, if you want anything, they charge. Luggage was over $80. Just pay more for a different airline, it will be less."
Plussat: "The boarding was stress-free and the leg room was excellent"

Miinukset: "Not a very large entertainment selection and food didn't look too appetizing, but nothing out of the ordinary for an airline."
Plussat: "It was pretty cheap to travel but came with a lot of restrictions"
Miinukset: "Baggage allowances where very restricted and no headsets on airplane. Good choices where bad and had to pay for snacks and coffee."
Plussat: "Plenty of movies on the airline, dreamliner plane."
Miinukset: "Flight was four hours late, we missed the connection to from arlanda to Bangkok. Flight is twenty hours away and since my wife has a Thai passport we are stranded inside of the terminal for the entire time. Airline didn't help with this issue. Also, $260 for two underweight checked bags is ridiculous."
Plussat: "Low price, new smart aircraft, comfortable journey in Premium, excellent service from the crew."
Miinukset: "In-flight entertainment very limited. Not many movies, strange tv program content, no music at all. The flight was late leaving Oakland and the pilot didn't make up any time, so I nearly missed my connection in Stockholm. Aalanda airport was part of that problem as transfer security had a single line with one really slow person manning it! That all added up to a long line of very anxious travelers!"

Plussat: "The price was awesome, the Dreamliner was shiny and new, the crew was pleasant enough. Any shortcomings of the flight were minor compared to the price and overall experience, which was fine. I was prepared for a discount flight experience and thought it was all okay."
Miinukset: "The in-seat entertainment system was busted - but then I hadn't expected anything, so didn't really miss it. The charger did work. The location information did work, including simulations of the view from the cockpit and windows. You have to pay for everything except water poured for you."
Plussat: "Booked this as was going to Denver direct and ESD a fair price. Generally well looked after."
Miinukset: "Not made clear that this trip did not include food unless purchased separately but spotted It day before so purchased our own to take on board. Was actually better as we had what we wanted and most importantly could eat/sleep when it suited us. Not offered any drink not even water but had our own. Nearly slipped up with baggage as did not purchase bags coming back as missed the point while booking. How many people book return flights and don't bring bags back? Should have been an 'are you sure' check."
Plussat: "I liked being able to watch free movies."
Miinukset: "I didn't like that you had to pay for drinks. Usually beverages on an airplane are free to customers."
Miinukset: "The purser (Vinnie, who had been serving up doubles and high fives) arrived and told me that it was unlimited drinks in the premium cabin and there was nothing that he could do about that, and that they had cut him off after he started antagonizing me. I asked why it was that he would knowingly supply a passenger with over ten drinks, jeopardizing the wellbeing of other passengers, and he again responded that it was unlimited drinks in the premium cabin. The younger female flight attendant then told me that the cops would be waiting for the passenger on arrival - when in fact, the port police department was never notified, nor was the Norwegian station manager at JFK. I then spoke with a great guy by the name of David and asked him to take me to the back of the plane. The only seat available was the middle seat in row 28, so i spent the last hour and a half in the back of the coach cabin. About 30 minutes before arrival, Vinnie came to me and asked "so what exactly happened?" claiming that he would have to submit a report. I had already explained to him and several other flight attendants what had happened and they had seen and heard for themselves. Again, I was told that Vinnie never mentioned any of this to the JFK station. On arrival, I waited patiently with all the other passengers, collected my carryon from David and exited the plane - there was no one from Norwegian ground staff or from the port police department. The assailants name is Jaramye Daniels. I am concerned about your in flight staff's lack of response regarding this encounter, especially given the fact that it occurred on the anniversary of 9/11. Public intoxication and assault are criminal acts and should be dealt with accordingly."
Plussat: "Nice, new airplane, modern bathroom, movie selection pretty good, was expecting a low budget look, but it was all high-tech and attractive."
Miinukset: "the usual complaint \i have with all the airplanes, not enough legroom, and no, \i will not pay extra on principle. I also had a problem with the TSA agent, but \i guess that is not your problem. Had to wait a long time for "opt-out.""
Plussat: "We didn't even get on the plane"
Miinukset: "We arrived 15 minutes late because our previous flight was delayed so they wouldn't let us on the plane. They said we lost our ticket and the next flight is next week. Now Wer on the way to cologne Germany to travel to Orlando tomorrow. We had to pay a 1000 more Euros. We don't have money and we might get fired from our job. Wer very upset and we need to speak to management. Non of this was our fault."
Plussat: "The engine purred like a kitten. Seats, free videos, easy access to order drinks & food w tap of your finger. Friendly, courteous greets you w a warm smile. Spacious airplane."
Miinukset: "Norwegian airlines needs to tell their customers that their luggage was left behind in Stockholm. We are exhausted from the long travels & are even more pissed off when multiple customers kept waiting for their luggage. I felt even more horrible to the family that was taking a cruise the next day. Can you believe Norwegian airlines are closed on Sunday. Couldn't talk to customer service until Monday when they opened. Bad customer satisfaction;("
