Miinukset: "They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!"
Miinukset: "The crew on board was aloof, and somewhat rude. I was traveling with my 87 yr old mother and they did little to help, especially when we needed the restroom but they had the aisle blocked for most of the time, serving food. There was no way to get around to access the bathroom and the crew turned us away from the only available bathroom in the front. Really?! Not impressed at all. Also the flt was 30 minutes late making our connection tight. One of the young, gorgeous stewardesses was rude and dismissive of me when I asked about it."

We received confirmation that the wheelchair will be at the gate in Istanbul - but it was sent through to Houston, leaving my husband without a wheelchair during our layover in Istanbul."

Boarding the airplanes was chaos, both in Tel Aviv and Istanbul."

Miinukset: "Computers were down for more than 2 hours. I have a disability and I was told to seat and someone would come with a wheelchair when the problem would be solved. They completely forgot about me. When I saw that the people had boarded, I went to the counter asking for the wheelchair. They sent me to Egypt Air to request it. Of course Egypt Air said I was not their passenger, so I should request the chair to my airline. I tell the man from Egypt air to talk directly to his colleagues in Turkish Airways. He is angry and tells me he's doing me the favor of getting the chair even if it's not his job, so i should be very thankful. He requested the chair and sat me on it. Kept telling me I should be thankful to him, even if it wasn't his job. Turkish Airways never got the wheelchair for me and I have mobility problem but they tell me to get to another airline to get it! No entertainment originally in Spanish in any flights for Spanish speaking passengers."

Miinukset: "The flight left early, without me. Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "Boarding in Istanbul and Tel Aviv was chaotic, no business class boarding. Checking laptop in Istanbul was inconvenient. Lounge Istanbul was awesome however way too crowded to fully take advantage of it. Also should control people and what they takfor food. The lines were long and people would literally pile their plates with massive amounts of food, take it to their seat then leave it. Fix the lockers and add more, they are a wonderful asset but I was not able to take advantage of. Consider limiting access to manage crowds."

Miinukset: "In All my flights with them it is Sssoooo hot!!! They save on A/C??? I asked to cool the cabine - they did for 15 min and back to heat again . Managing seat assignment is impossible if you book through a website other than theirs . They don't have an "economy comfort " option"

Miinukset: "The Tel Aviv airport check in is a nightmare!! We were there 3 hours ahead of our flight and the line would not move. Finally made it to the front 20 min before our flight!!! The people in the check in bags did not care if we missed our flight, was very rude and sloooooowwww!!! I have been to many airports and this is by far the worst! I had to run to my gate and ran into another check where they let me pass bc my flight was about to close! Made it 2 minutes before the bus left! Nightmare!!!"

Plussat: "The lost my 1 checked bag of luggage somewhere between tel aviv-istanbul-frankfurt!! Filed a report at Frankfurt Airport but it was filled with all my essentials and some valuables and the airport staff didnt seem to concerned in helping me.... To clarify, my experience through Kayak has been fine! However this whole ordeal has left a very sour taste in my mouth...i still dont have my luggage. Miinukset: "Even in business class leg room is not ample, aircraft seems to be quite old, inside is well scoffed and scratched, my foot rest couldn't be raised or extended, no personal ventilation, temperature is interchangeably too hot or too cold, movie choice is far from awesome"
Miinukset: "I flew from Tel Aviv and upon arrival went through security so I could proceed to my departure gate. Then at the departure gate a whole new round of security. There was a priority line, but for some reason I didn't get in it, although I fly business. The line was not that long but it just did not move. And the a/c was not working. Worst boarding experience ever and I've been flying for over 40 years. When I boarded finally I asked if I could give a review and although they said yes- nothing. So I hope someone who cares sees this."

Miinukset: "Customer service said that I was confirmed on my new flight, after the snowstorm in NY caused a cancellation, and that I had a Kosher meal. Neither were true. Had to spend over an hour at the airport to get a seat and almost missed the flight. Something is wrong with the customer service."
Miinukset: "I was shocked when we landed in Ataturk and the sleeve was attached to the plane we had to get down to the ground from the middle of the sleeve. We were taken to the terminal by bus!! After the sleeve was already attached! I can understand when you are in some small airport or flying with low cost airline. But it's Turkish airlines in their home airport! Really disappointed."

Plussat: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Miinukset: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Plussat: "good service in spite of rather crammed conditions and short flight, UK newspaper was available, plenty of leg room (biz class consisting of one row in the front:))) - the lucky 4 in that 1st row were the only ones to get food, and also drink for free, it seems... and yes, the flight was short and otherwise uneventful, I was the 1st to walk off the plane."

In "biz class" you still had to rub elbows with your neighbor, something other airlines with newer planes have sorted out, but allowing extra space between seats.... but overall, for a short flight (not much longer than an average subway commute in NYC), it really was not a huge deal...."

Plussat: "I flew in economy. 9+ hours from ORD to HEL. The seat was average size. We were provided with a pillow, blanket and headphones. I did not use the in-flight entertainment, which was on an LCD screen. It was warm, so i didn't use the blanket. I also brought a neck-pillow, which is vital on overnight flights. They served a full dinner shortly after takeoff: I had meat lasagna which wasn't that bad, along with corn, a roll w/ butter, two saltine crackers with decent cheese and a chocolate pudding. Upon waking, I ate the breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and two sausages and a roasted tomato, a roll with butter, fruit cup and orange juice, coffee on the side. All pretty good, it was nice to have a meal before deplaning in Helsinki and waiting to get through passport control. Attendants on this flight were quite friendly. Check-in was run very efficiently. No problems with luggage. All in all, a real bargain price, and I got more than I bargained for."
Miinukset: "As for the downside, I had no significant disappointments on the long leg of my flight on Finnair. I hope my return flights will be just as good."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."
Plussat: "The gentleman at the check out his name was Omar went over and above the call of duty for Customer Service me being an American he walked me through each step of using flybe via air France and paying for checking my bags and even the carry on luggage and getting me through security etc."

Nevdr informed what was happening, never offered to move our seats or move iIl passengers. Glad all turned out ok. Could have given them more privacy and better informed other passengers."

Miinukset: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

I want to know why did a pay for priority services if the person at the boarding does not even know anything. Is the company going to reimburse the company for the time waiting and bring the last one?"

Miinukset: "The price of my ticket had nothing low cost. It was $300 for a one way Rome - Paris. Since I never fly with Ryan air, I had no idea you had to check in online. Otherwise they charge you a 55 euro fee for a normal check in at the airport. It’s written in very small letters at the end of the confirmation email they send you. You obviously don’t see it unless you scroll down 10 times all the way to the bottom of the email. This is called a rip off. This should be mentioned all the way at the top near the confirmation number. So I had no choice but paying that fee. I’m sure I’m not the first person this happened to. These thieves must make a lot of money with this. The other bad surprise was that the arrival airport was so far from the center of the city, I paid 120 euros with Uber to get home versus 45 euros when flying into the main Paris airports. Overall, it becomes the same price than flying with Air France."

They purposely split family members in the hope that people will pay extra to sit together. We did it on the first leg, but then managed to switch seats without extra cost in the second leg. It just required several people switching around."

It was a waste of money. -traveling to Rome on Ryanair we took samsonite carry on luggage onto the plane with no problems. Leaving Rome we were told to recheck our luggage size. The wheels stick out a little and they made us pay 100 Euros to check our bags. Once on the plane we saw many passengers with luggage and bags much larger than our own and did not have to pay to have them checked. We were the only Americans on the plane. -The seats do not recline and are at a 90 degree angle which is very uncomfortable for a 3 hour flight. -the crew traveling to Rome was very rude. -the seats were dirty with food and crumbs before I sat down and there was trash and food on the floor. It is as if the plane is not cleaned routinely."

Miinukset: "1156.64 When we arrived at the airport the clerk at the desk would not look up from her computer to help us, we went to the window and she continued to refuse to check us in. When we handed her our passports she bluntly stated that it was too late to check in because it was 10:00 and the cutoff was 9:55. We asked if she could make an exception due to our issues with transportation or if she was able to help us rebook a flight and she said no. We had already paid for this flight and had checked in baggage and paid separately for the two bags and she told us there were no Ryan air flights for our destination. We promptly rebooked with another airline at a separate airport and consequently had to pay for another form of transportation to the airport as well as a new flight and another two checked pieces of baggage. I have traveled all over Europe, the US, Canada, Central America etc. and never in my years of travel have I felt so belittled and disrespected especially considering I was a paying, respectful and loyal customer. It goes without saying I will never use this airline again and will be strongly recommending other airlines to friends and family."

Board the plane, taxing to runway told we will be flying into Gatwick not Stansted, not other info given. When asking flight attendants, told they had no info either and also had been delayed ( I still can't get over how rude staff were). Just before landing announced that it had all been sorted and there would be coaches taking us to the correct airport. This was a lie! Nothing put on at at 4am we were expected to sort our own transport back to the correct airport. Never again will I fly with an airline that fails to fulfil their contract. Despicable."

For a short flight, as long as you pay attention to their roles about baggage sizes and the cost of extras, they can save you a lot of money. They were on time and well-run, a big improvement over the last time I flew them (10yrs ago)."

Traveler be aware of this airline cheap tickets but they get you in other ways...."
