Crew went out of its way to help people board and load bags overhead. They seemed very attentive, and tried to provide extra drink options even."
Miinukset: "Boarding process at IST was a challenge. We left from a remote gate, and the agent didn't seem interested in the boarding process. I heard no announcements, maybe because it didn't matter as everyone was crowding the door 15 minutes before boarding began. The agent seemed perturbed, but I've seen it on almost every Italian bound flight. No one wants to wait. It is actually a bit amusing to watch the struggle between boarding policies and a group of people who seem determined to ignore them. The buses were also pretty well packed. More so in Rome than IST. Not much organization in loading at either place. After all the passport control they left us to walk outside to wait for the bus. Maybe you can tell I'm not a fan of remote gates."

Praise God I made it home safe."

The Airport was severely overcrowded all night and day. I was going to use Turkey monthly to go back to Germany but I probably won't now."

Went to their office at Pearson and they had no clue as well. Two days before the flight they called to tell me my dog can't fly due to unknown reasons and created a MAJOR nightmare. I paid $400 for papers and cage for the dog only. Very very unprofessional and will NEVER fly with Turkish Airlines again!!!"
Plussat: "The price can't be beat for a quality, national carrier. The next highest price for my series of flights was $600 more and would have taken twice as long. Good food, good alcoholic beverages, great movies, and a nice crew too."

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"
Miinukset: "Delay can occur sometimes but it wiuld be better to be explained its reason and the estimated time for boarding. The customer service at CDG airport was the worst ever and all people standing boarding desk were useless without any mind what they are doing."
Plussat: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Miinukset: "Information on KLM website and flight status said 50 minutes delay and was never updated with the true status. 3 hours before we took off. KLM blamed the fog at Manchester but to be honest most other flights seemed unaffected. Put up in an IBIS hotel and fed substandard food and shitty hotel room with an Aircon unit that clunks into action every 30 seconds keeping me awake. It's external so I can't switch it off. Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."

Beware if traveling with family."

The bin was only big enough for 1 backpack. 2 of the 3 of us in that row had to go 2 rows back to store our luggage. This is very inconvenient when deboarding because I have to wait for many others to pass before I get a chance to walk towards the back of the plane to get my luggage."

In bewilderment I asked her in English to repeat herself and she sarcastically repeated what she had said, in French, I asked for her to speak in English (which she had done to me previously on this Paris to London flight) yet again she scolded me in French. I was left absolutely none the wiser and it left a bad taste in my mouth."
Plussat: "There were 4 of us flying from Atlanta, there was a great amount of leg room, tvs were nice, remote control for the tv fit into the seat, the way the plane was laid out, the 4 of us sat in a middle row, which meant no window seat (which my sister was disappointed), dinner options were great, wine was complementary"
Miinukset: "My only problem was that there wasn't any air flow and until someone told them how hot they think it is, it was a very sweaty situation. I couldn't sleep because of how hot it was and I didn't think to tell the crew because I didn't know they would care."

We bordered at 408pm Monday on time from Medellín to Bogota but when on the plane we sat on the runway from 420 to 700pm.. they never let us off the plane judt said logistical issues. I had a connecting flight to Quito Ecuador from Bogota the same say at 748pm. We landed in Bogota at 815pm missed my flight. I was told to call my provider Kayak.com ans Kiwi.com No replies until 7hrs later. In which they denied the plane even left the terminal as they said it was canceled but hey I have photos and sent them and they still couldn't belive it. So I sent proof and now they argue with me about waiting 3 months for repayment of the connecting flight. I've spoken now 25 agents all differnt names all giving differnt information. Never seen a company in 37 years be so unprofessional
Airline staff are very helpful, airline is extremely punctual, polite, and organized, aircrafts are especially clean and comfortable.

Crew gave us stupid explanations to justify charging us like you are in the boarding group 7 which we never asked to be placed. It’s the airline business to choose some passengers to charge $100000 Colombian pesos for getting bags, and then after being forced to pay for the bags crew doesn’t give a receipt so we wouldn’t have proof of the fraude. Charging for bags is at discretion of crew. When buying the tickets for me and my family I checked the policy about luggage and the website doesn’t state about being charged for getting regular size bags like ours."

Miinukset: "Hidden baggage fees. Extra fee to check in a bag was not disclosed at the moment I purchased my ticket. This airline doesn't even provide water to passengers. It's as stingy as it gets among all other airlines I've flow and value for money is poor."
Miinukset: "It is unbelievable that in an international flight they don’t give even a glass of water at least we pay extra for it. The tickets is not cheap at all for receiving so bad service"
Plussat: "The flight itself was great. No problems with with the actual process of boarding or landing. The flight was even ahead of schedule. The problem was with the transfer."
Miinukset: "Normally, international-domestic transfers are pretty difficult to coordinate. This particular one (Bogota>Miami, Miami>San Francisco) seemed particularly so. On top of being just enough time to wait for our bags, drop them off with the next airline, walk across the airport, enter security (which went exceedingly slowly), we had just enough time to get to the gate before boarding. This is why I gave a lower rating."

Miinukset: "First of all I bought my ticket through Kayak, but apparently something called the flight network was the issuer of my ticket apparently they are and travel agency in canada , first i needed to change my ticket and they could not do it , then I dis not use my outbound flight because I needed to get to my destinantion one day earlier and yesterday i received an email saying that my return flight was cancelled. they told me that since i did not use my outbound they automatically cancelled my return flight, I ended up loosing 300 USD because of mis information from that travel agency , the people that answered my call were very disrispectfull, this has been the worse experience and ai ended up loosing all my money I had to purchase another return ticket."

First class is the way to go on American to receive any Amenities, cocktails, or nutrition.
The flight was three hours delayed and instead of having us wait to board we waited two hours in the plane before take off. For the future if they know connection flights are delayed they should have us wait outside
Flight delayed due to light in bathroom not functioning. Waited on board for over an hour for maintenance to look. Ended up being told to just use bathroom at front of the plane!
The staff was very friendly, they were enforcing good safety practices. It's pretty good value for the money, too.

Miinukset: "My flight got cancelled with zero notice and I almost ended up on a 18 hour layover which would have resulted me in missing work. The staff was very unsympathetic and not helpful. There were 10 people behind the counter and nobody could help us. They were all just spacing out. Ultimately, I was placed on the flight, but had to rush to every single one of my four connecting flights. I am a frequent traveler but this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Avianca should be embarrassed to be associated with star alliances."

Miinukset: "My husband started coughing really badly. I rang the call button to see if a flight attendant would come and maybe help me. Eventually, after about 6 minutes, he managed to control his breathing and still no flight attendant to be seen. Only after 20 minutes while distributing the meals, one of the attendants shuts the call sign of and continues. This is not the service we usually get from Avianca!"

Miinukset: "The flight from LAX to HKG was diverted to Haneda, Tokyo. The septic tank was not properly emptied in LAX. Flight in Hong Kong was delayed by about 2 hours due to this diversion. I agree with the call from the Captain. It's a pity that the poor quality of service team in LAX (probably 1-2 individuals) caused tremendous inconvenience to passengers and crew."
