It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."

Miinukset: "Although it was entirely SAS's fault that I missed my connection in CPH, they refused to reroute me on another carrier. They routed me on another SAS flight to ORD, and from there back to BOS. Hence my arrival was delayed from 3.20 PM to 12.130 AM after midnight."
Plussat: "The standout moment for me was how the crew treated my son who realized, as the door was closing, that he had forgotten his bag with all his schoolbooks. They were very kind and responsive and helped him find the bag with no fuss and without making him feel bad."
Plussat: "The pilots were excellent : smooth takeoff and landing. The plane seemed a bit shaky at times in the air; perhaps it was windy, although the skies were clear. Good food; good stewardesses. Entertainment had very good movie choices and games."
Miinukset: "The side lights never were turned off, so it was hard to go to sleep. On a long overseas flight, there should be some down time. It was dark outside part of the time, but never dark inside the plane. The leg room is also a bit cramped for tall people."

Miinukset: "Witnessed many customers checking in who thought a bag was included. Entertainment is ok but screens have limited kid activities. Each leg of my flight took off 15-20 min late easily. Overall this wasn’t bad as it was made up in-air. Except one layover was only an hour, And cut it a bit close clearing passport control and traveling with two kids. No time to even see Kaflavik or pick up food or drinks. We ran to the final boarding call after clearing passport control. Also not good was that they don’t offer gate check on strollers. On a departure, you can use your stroller all the way up to the gate, but you get it back with any checked baggage at baggage claim, so you won’t have a stroller for layovers in Keflavík or clearing customs on either end. That was a pain."

Once on the flight, you had to pay for everything except a few juices, sodas, coffee and tea. Snacks and meals had to be purchased. Another expense. The flight was 1 hour late departing for no apparent reason. I have flown Icelandair twice and both times they were late departing. In visiting with fellow passengers they had similar experiences."

We got through passport control, but afterward my husband was randomly chosen for a security check and was taken away to a secluded room. I tried to wait for him, but after many people came out who had gone in after him, I finally asked where he was. I was told he went out another door and to look for him at the gate. I went to the gate area only to see a massive crowd which completely filled the entire hallway for about 100 feet or more. I I asked a friend to watch my luggage so I could manipulate through the crowd to try to find my husband, who also had no idea where I was. This was very stressful. The flight left almost one hour late, which is unacceptable. Flight transfers in Rekjavik airport were absolutely terrible in both directions. Something needs to be done about the way Icelandair is scheduling flights and not handling crowds!"
Miinukset: "We departed almost an hour late. Despite checking in early, they put my luggage on a later plane headed for MSP so my ride had to wait an hour and a half after the scheduled arrival. The few movies available weren't new releases and not much of a selection."

They do have things you can order from a menu (and those were quite tasty), but just be aware that meals are not included. If this (and asking you to pay for wifi) keeps ticket prices cheaper, it's probably the best situation for everyone. We had a brief delay in Rejkavik."

Miinukset: "This is a low cost airline, so don't expect much. Saga class which is sold as business is nowhere close to business class. The seats are the same as first class on domestic US airlines and recline only a little. The airport in Iceland is horrible, completely congested, expect long lines, no priority lanes, missing your flight and nobody cares. I will not be flying this airline again."
Miinukset: "Stood in line at check-in for almost an hour. No free food nor snacks for an international flight. Movie selection is minimal and outdated. Beverage service was also limited."
Miinukset: "The Iceland airport needs to be enlarged quite a bit to accommodate the influx of tourists. It will prevent people from returning. We waited over an hour to check our bags after we had checked in on kiosk. Our flight was 30 minutes late because of the slowdown."
Miinukset: "Was given emergency exit row. When boarding I was told our seats had changed. Not only did we not get the exit row we were told, but we got the seats in front of it that don't recline back."

Miinukset: "Terrible airport in Iceland. 5 flight left from the same short hall...fire in the airport would be catastrophic. Safety is an issue. Some people cannot stand for hours. Update the airport."
Check-in was a nightmare. At least half the self-serve kiosks were out of printer paper so were out of service. It was chaos. No one was directing traffic, so you had to hope you were in the right line. We finally got to a kiosk and checked in, and printed one bag tag for checked baggage. We were in line to drop off the checked bag, and the lady working that station just walked away and didn’t come back. After we waited a bit, another person in line went to ask at the nearby counter if the bag check person was coming back, and she wasn’t, so we had to find a new line and wait all over again. Once we got our bag dropped off and our tickets, the rest was easy. The security line went quickly, and the terminal was clean and nice. Our flight was great and the flight crew was excellent. I think if someone had kept up with the kiosk printers, a lot of the check-in headaches and stress would have been solved.
Miinukset: "Flight was delayed several hours due to an issue with the plane. Didn't get to our destination until close to 2am."
Miinukset: "This is the second American Airlines flight we have had in less than two months where there was an issue with the plane and multiple delays lasting hours. I understand delays happen, but we've had two late evening flights turn into red-eyes while traveling with one of our children. Will not be flying American Airlines again."

Miinukset: "The desk people were aggressively unhelpful when I asked for advice on getting a jacket back that I had left my previous flight (less than an hour earlier). They treated me with derision and ridicule because my previous flight was with a different airline, an airline that is closely enough associated with American that they booked me on an American flight. It should have been possible to at least talk to someone that could address my situation but now I'm stuck with the likely loss of something important to me and a strong dislike of American airlines. I'm probably just salty because it happened yesterday though. I'll get over the jacket eventually and probably fly with American again. But I will always resent them."
Miinukset: "The trip is still ongoing 6 hours after it was to have been over and we still have a couple more hours to go. I understand that things happen, but most of the problems today seem to have been preventable. First, our plane in Lihue was delayed for over 3 hours because they could not get a working fuel truck to fill the plane. Three hours? This caused us to miss our connection in LA, although just barely. We had to wait onboard so that we could use the same gate that our outgoing plane was departing from. If we had just been sent to a different gate we. Oils have made our original flight. So, they put us on a flight to Chicago because there were no more flights to Minneapolis. Then, once in Chicago the incoming plane was delayed and we sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes before deplaning. Then after an hour delay we were told the crew was on the ground and we were boarded. Sat in the plane for another hour, then we’re told we were still waiting for crew members that were delayed so we deplaned again. Another 90 minutes past and we got back on the plane and sat for another 45 minutes. We are finally pulling away from the gate. Hallelujah!"

Miinukset: "Seats are very small. Boarding process could be improved. Seems some people board out of sequence and it screws up the process of stowing luggage and getting to your assigned seat. These same people bring in large over sized bags that will not fit in the above compartment or underneath the seat. Charging these individuals for these violations would deter them from engaging in this behavior. You might also want to add to your instructions how to disembark the plane, some individuals think their schedule is more important and rush up the isle in front of others who are trying to get their carry on luggage from the overhead compartment. Losers!!"
Miinukset: "I find this fairly serious! All people were boarded on the plane In a timely manor. We were then informed that one flight attendant had not made to the flight and we were to wait until the flight attendant arrived. We waited over 20 minutes for the employee to arrive to work rather late. This put out over 200 people for one irresponsible employee. In my business that employee would of been fired unless there was a very serious reason. So a full plane of passengers were inconvienced as well as many people that were helping the passengers what maybe 300 + for one employee! Doesn't make sense!"
Plussat: "I really like having the ability to upgrade to a more roomy seat the most. I am 6 foot 1in and leg room is so very important to me when i fly, it the difference between a good experience and a great experience. For just a few more dollars i was able to enjoy a great flight."
Miinukset: "I don't like not having the movies to watch on the back of the seats, although i do understand the cost cutting reasons. It's not a problem, just saying."
Plussat: "I found this flight to be very efficient and the crew very professional and friendly. After a previous 15 hour flight I was very tired and this flight was a welcome ending to my journey."
Plussat: "I booked a codeshare ticket through Alaska Airlines reward program. I was worried I'd be shafted when it came to seats. Not so. I had the row to myself on both flights and just 2 rows shy of first class! Very impressed."

Miinukset: "I tried to standby for an earlier flight on a first class ticket but I was told that's almost impossible as people waiting for upgrades have priority over me, so they may be able to get me a seat but in Economy. So, AA has no problem having a First Class ticketed passenger traveling in Economy and ticketed Economy passengers flying in First Class. Well, I do have a problem with that and didn't stand for it."

Miinukset: "After having my flight delayed 4 hours causing me to miss my connection, I was placed stand by on a different flight through another city so I could try and make it home on time. I was the first person in line for stand by, but the flight was full so I knew it was a long shot. Waiting at the gate, I was excited because one person didn't show and they were giving him a two minute wait time before I could board. During this wait time a woman passenger came over and said she had just been given a ticket change at the gate counter. The agent at the gate was furious because the flight was sold out and said the woman should not have received a ticket, but should have been placed on stand by. She went over and scolded the other agent for this mistake. Okay, so she should've been placed on STAND BY behind me in line. After the unprofessional arguing between the two agents, they both admitted it was a mistake and she should be second in line for stand by, BUT they did not honor this and placed her on the plane bumping me. Needless to say, I missed my connecting flight because of this and extremely inconvenienced my family and in addition had to pay an extra 75 dollars out of my pocket to keep my dogs at their kennel an extra night because I arrived home 5 hours after expected. I understand that flights end up getting delayed and the agents are doing the best they can to accommodate travelers, but admitting a mistake and not fixing it to make it right is unacceptable. I notified American Airlines of my situation and only received a form letter with enough miles to get me 1/8 of a flight. I don't even care about the miles because I don't plan to ever fly with them again, I want the money for the dog kennel I had to pay extra. I was visiting my husband who serves in the US Army causing separation from our family for long periods of time and this extra headache and expense due to the mistake of American Airlines was disheartening."

Miinukset: "The flight was delayed for a half hour. No one announced anything about the delay until we were almost leaving. It would have been nice to at least share what was happening and when we could expect to leave. Delays are always frustrating but especially so late at night and when no information is given."
Plussat: "Our family was able to sit together"
Miinukset: "The flight left late It arrived late and we sat out away from the gate for 15-20 minutes before getting up to the gate to deplane."
Plussat: "The whole flight was fine. It was on time and there were no problems."
Miinukset: "The seats were uncomfortable. In particular, the head rests are not high enough for me to use and are not adjustable."
Plussat: "Standard, quick domestic flight home. Nothing special."
Miinukset: "I paid for power, entertainment and dinner and I got none of that. My legs were FAR too long for sitting there. I am a disabled vet, the whole trip was PAINFUL."

Miinukset: "The flight was more than half empty and instead of allowing customers to move forward to the “premium” seats, the flight crew keep everyone all bunched up in the back of the plane. It would have been a nice customer service gesture to allow people to move forward. And, hey, maybe next time people would have bought those seats if they could have experienced them. Guess I should have felt lucky to remain on the plane and not get punched in the face..."

They've done it by inventing a new "basic economy" class which costs just what it used to cost to fly economy, only you don't get to pick your seats, don't get to bring a carry on, and can't check in for your flight without one of their staff verifying your personal item isn't secretly a carry-on."
Miinukset: "Being treated like a third class citizen because I'm poor."

Miinukset: "I wish I knew I couldn't bring my carry on with me!!! United is always finding ways to screw the passenger's experience. I have a wedding to go to and needed my small duffle carry on with me and because I got a "basic economy" ticket, this was not possible. Some forewarning of this insanity would have been helpful! Really so annoyed!"
Miinukset: "You cannot check in online so you have to wait in line for an agent to check you in. The fare only allows you a middle seat. There is really not much good about this low fare. I'd rather take a low cost airline then get treated like you get treated on the basic economy fare."
Plussat: "The plane did not crash. That was the part I liked."
Miinukset: "No one cares what coach customers think of "their in-flight experience" so im not sure why I'm bothering. I got a cheap ticket and packed a tiny backpack. Was reminded of my lowly state by being made to wait till the last second to board. Last row of plane. 2 inches of leg room. Leave it to United to figure out a way to create a class of customer so low that you envy all the other cattle. MOOOOO!"

Miinukset: "Let's see my seat did not recline. The stewardess bumped into me every time she passed. The flight attendant was wearing way way way too much cologne. They had no room for my carry on. The beverages took way to long. I could not use the Internet. You changed my flight time over and over and over I was supposed to leave at 5 I didn't leave until 10. I could not sleep because the flight attendants was wearing Christmas lights and they would wake me up and she keep bumping in to be be is she did not know how to walk in the isles. The cookie were stale. There was something in my cup so I could not drink my free drink. There's more. It was the worst flight I have ever been on."

Miinukset: "Flight was overbooked. My adult son and I had tickets to "see agent" and given seats together. But they'd also assigned his seat a another person, who was already settled. Luckily, there was a seat left, and both arrived at out destination. Their solution was to move him, even tho we were traveling together."

People in the front 10 rows of the plane should not be putting their luggage in the back, taking up space so people in groups 3-5 have space to put their luggage."

Plussat: "It was my grandson's first plane ride. They let us board early because I was managing two carry on suitcases. The flight was smooth and he loved the apple juice. He learned so much by looking out the window and seeing the ground and the clouds."
Plussat: "Crew was attentive. My seat was taken by someone else but crew helped me find another seat. (Which was fine by me). Pilot kept passengers in formed of weather conditions and bumpy ride."

Miinukset: "The flight was oversold which apparently gave the employee at the gate a reason to be rude. Also the plane was freezing. People were pulling out blankets and covering themselves with anything available."
