Very cramped flight, overhead bins were all completely filled, and passengers had to fly with bags by their feet which was not very comfortable for me personally.

DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."

I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Miinukset: "una valija se perdió. Eso desató el descontrol que tiene KLM para seguir el equipaje. No hay como hacer tracking. No hay un teléfono a donde hablar, la web está desactualizada y con información equivocada. Direccionan a usar canales de twitter y facebook que no responden. Primer experiencia en KLM y no pienso nunca más usar esta aerolínea. Llevar el equipaje o resolver un problema sobre valijas es de lo más básico de una aerolínea y no lo hacen."
Miinukset: "Flight way delayed 3 hours. Staff gave no information and wouldn't help rebook us onto other flights. They gave us food vouchers 2 minutes before we finally boarded, so we couldn't use them. The food on the plane had spoiled so we were all starving on the flight, and we all missed our connections. Horrible experience and wouldn't fly with KLM again."

Miinukset: "That we had to pay for checked bagage on the return flight (Copenhagen to Newark) was an unpleasant and expensive surprise. In the 25+ years I have flown trans Atlantic with SAS, this is the first time that I’ve had to pay for luggage. No pre-warning .... :-(."
Miinukset: "When we checked in for the return flight in CPH we learned that our return ticket was “light” ie it did not include luggage. we were not informed about this, we did not request a ‘light” return ticket, and...why would we when we checked luggage flying over? We’d like the usd100 refunded"

Miinukset: "In a wheelchair. Check in was terrible and rude. The fact that SAS did not allow us to bring my electric chair directly to the gate was absurd (only airline in the world that did that). The fact that it was not at the gate when we arrived in Newark surprised even the SAS Gate agents. Had to go to baggage and collect it in oversize baggage. Will not fly SAS again until that policy has changed."

Miinukset: "My husband was unable to check in on line. SAS when contacted by phone which was difficult to do because it is hard to locate their number had no explanation other than maybe due to security. We missed a tour due to the time spent (unsuccessfully) trying to solve this problem."
Plussat: "Good food and a good entertainment system that comes with plenty of options. I really like that SAS doesn’t go for your wallet for every bag like jus about EVERY AMERICAN CARRIER!"

Miinukset: "No entertainment. They didn't notify us that there was no wifi until 5 minutes before we boarded. Being older than the electronic age, I did not have movies or games on my phone. Had we had earlier notice, I would have had time to hit the book store. Since the flight was delayed an hour, they had plenty of time to notify us earlier than just before boarding. An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Miinukset: "The flight was delayed well over an hour. I was unable to check in the night before. I was finally able to check in online the afternoon of the flight, but no seats were left, so had a boarding pass with no seat assignment. Got to the gate and they sent me and about 25 other folks with no seat assignment to wait for a "colleague" who finally appeared after almost everyone else had boarded. I did get a seat, but I was one of the last to board. They ran out of salmon dinners, so the stewardess plopped a chicken dish in front of me--didn't eat since I am vegetarian. The stewardess did give me a free mini bottle of wine, which is normally free on Lufthansa. I am just not all that impressed with SAS. I will try to avoid them in the future."

Miinukset: "I was seated between two families with two babies on board so there was little room for me to rest since there was a lot of movement."
Plussat: "The plane was neat, clean and well maintained. The food was very good. The crew was professional and friendly. Based on my experience this is a top-notch airline."
Plussat: "Fish was excellent, flight attendant gave me free wifi after after I had an issue to pay w my card, I was let through express security in copenhagen, US border protection was fast and easy."
Miinukset: "I didn't get a window seat and it was a little bit tight."

Miinukset: "Seating was tight and uncomfortable. Seat cushions felt thin, we could feel the seat frames, and there was too little space between the rows. Food was lame and over cooked."
Plussat: "Even though this was an older model plane, the cabin at least did not feel like an oven, which was the case when we flew SAS to Copenhagen."
Miinukset: "This was a 9 hour flight where if the lights were off, a baby would sleep. Instead, the lights were left on to encourage the purchase of food/drink and airmail knick knacks."

Miinukset: "Cabin light was only slightly dimmed during the 8 hrs flight. Then instead of gradually brighten the light. They just flip the switch to full blast. I think they are trying to sell you more duty free than letting their customers rest. Not ok!"

Miinukset: "The crew forgot to start serving the final meal until 40 minutes before we landed which resulted in them nearly throwing food at people so that they could quickly get through the plane and sit again before descent. I was not able to choose my seat and was seated in the back of the plane. Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

Miinukset: "Crew was rude. Had to ask 3 times for a drink before I actually got it and they snarled at me about having to pay. I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."
Plussat: "Staff seemed nice. Boarding didn't take too long even when I was selected for a random check."
Miinukset: "The air conditioning didn't go on until take off. There were no options for food. All alcoholic beverages were not complementary and priced too high. I got sick after eating the meal that was provided. i reserved a seat but at check in the computer assigned me a different seat number. I was flying with a family member and instead of sitting next to them I had to sit next to a stranger."

Miinukset: "I bought full price ticket, not STAND BY SAS DIDN'T LET CHECK IN MY FLIGHT FROM RIGA to SAN DIEGO. So I have problem everywhere . In Oslo I was waiting for my seat more than one hours. I very often was SAS, it was good, but never ever I will use this company again."
Miinukset: "I was sitting next to a girl who was not part of my family who got airsick 3 times on the flight. The first time I told the airline attendant and she brought a large plastic bag and some paper towels. The girl but her used airsick bag inside the large plastic bag. I tied the top and put in next to me near the aisle because I expected the attendant to come pick it up. The attendant told me I had to take it to the lavatory and dispose of it in there. It was very hard to get the large plastic bag into the small trash receptacle because it had fill with air. I asked the attendant for another airsick bag but she never brought it. The girl got sick again and she used my airsick bag. While walking the bag up to the lavatory, I asked a different attendant for another airsick bag. They just told me I had to dispose of it in the lavatory and never brought another airsick bag. I had to ask someone for their airsick bag because the girl got sick a third time. I can not believe the horrible service on this flight! The poor girl was crying because she felt so sick and there wasn't anyone to help her. I did what I could but I felt something could have been done by the crew. I will think twice before I reserve another flight on SAS."

Miinukset: "Witnessed many customers checking in who thought a bag was included. Entertainment is ok but screens have limited kid activities. Each leg of my flight took off 15-20 min late easily. Overall this wasn’t bad as it was made up in-air. Except one layover was only an hour, And cut it a bit close clearing passport control and traveling with two kids. No time to even see Kaflavik or pick up food or drinks. We ran to the final boarding call after clearing passport control. Also not good was that they don’t offer gate check on strollers. On a departure, you can use your stroller all the way up to the gate, but you get it back with any checked baggage at baggage claim, so you won’t have a stroller for layovers in Keflavík or clearing customs on either end. That was a pain."

There was space of the flight so I didn’t feel badly about this. WiFi was affordae and generally reliable. I had a turkey pretzel bread wedge that was tasty."

I would gladly have gone on the tarmack in my raingear to retrieve my bag rather than wait over an hour. We had a family member waiting for us for 2 hours!"

Very disappointed if i can help it i will not fly with them again. This is the 3 straight year i have so seems like we are being forced to go with them to get a decent flight price."

The airport in Iceland is horrible, completely congested, expect long lines, no priority lanes, missing your flight and nobody cares. I will not be flying this airline again."

Then again we were held in a crampt and very warm bus to the aircraft. Passengers inside the bus, pushed open some of the windows to give us a little fresh cool air. Finally we exited into the rain and wind to very slowly board the aircraft in no order, which led to people standing out on a slick staircase getting rather wet prior to entering. One of the worst boarding plans I've experienced."

Unfortunately the terminal was not equiped to handle that many passengers waiting for departures. There was no where to sit and had to sit on the floor for over four hours. Miinukset: "The boarding makes no sense. If you let people board from 2 ends of your plane, you should at least tell rows 1-20 to go to that door and 21- 35 go to the other. Since that's not done, mayhem ensues. The whole no free food thing is ridiculous but I will either fly a different airline (Lufthansa) or bring my own food. Also the entertainment is what you see on TV in the USA, there are no new movies AND the content is the same east and West bound."

Plussat: "Boarding process in Reykjavik was a nightmare. There were five or six flights leaving within a half hour of each other and hundreds of people were crammed into a very small waiting area with nowhere to sit."
Miinukset: "There were no announcements explaining why our flight was not boarding on time. We waited about 50 minutes at the gate while other flights that had later boarding times were boarding. Besides being squished in a crowd with nowhere to sit for such a long time and no explanation about why we weren't boarding made for very grumpy passengers even before we got on the plane!"
Miinukset: "No free meal, constant duty free sales runs up and down the aisle by flight attendants, broken seats and headphone jacks, slow and clumsy boarding process"

Customer service at TAP is the worst. No one to talk to, help you or give any direction.

Good entertainment

The flight crew was very attentive and nice, but the ground crew sadly wasn’t, the overall experience is I WOULD NOT, again NOT TRAVEL with TAP Portugal… We where supposed to board at 11am and started at 11:40 with minimum to non-coordination…

food was awful and were told if food is left then you will get it else good luck and so we stayed hungry. seats were uncomfortable and actually hurt my back. so much for first class

Miinukset: "I am used to traveling continents with other companies. There has always been 2 check in bags allowed with no extra charge as long as you are under 23kg on each. I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific African destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. That rule rule is unfair and racist. Now that I am back, I have a bag missing. Wow!"
Miinukset: "I had to pay to check the first piece of luggage 85€ one way. I was not inform of that when I bough the ticket and I could have chosen a different airline If I had considered that expense. The first piece used to be free intercontinental flights but now it varies depending on the company. I find difficult to find this information when buying and it makes a great difference in the final price you pay. I found strange flight attendants having a very loud conversation in a very quiet flight where most of the people were sleeping."

The fact that in Lisbon airport I had to wait more than one hour to reach the help desk and then plead to receive a voucher for refreshment (left Madeira on an early flight, no breakfast on that flight, the flight to NY delayed till 5 PM!). I chose TAP because it was the most direct way to reach Madeira - but the delays on both flights were more than unfortunate - it was simply poor service."

Miinukset: "1) I tried several times while traveling but was unable to figure out how to choose a vegetarian option for the flight. When I called customer service, after a long hold time, the woman I finally spoke to told me it was too late to order vegetarian and refused to help me. I have never flown another airline (Air India, Turkish Air, United, American, China Southern, etc., etc.) that did not make this easy to choose during booking or check-in and that did not already have a standard ovo-lacto vegetarian option on the regular menu. Vegetarians practice for all sorts of reasons, including religion and health needs. It's unacceptable to make it so difficult to meet your meal needs while trapped on a plane for nine hours. 2) The check-in agent did not know the rule about all remaining seats being opened for passenger choice three hours before booking and insisted we had to pay to get aisle seats despite one of us having a health problem necessitating her standing up and walking every 45 minutes. Then another agent told us we couldn't choose seats for free for our Porto to Newark flight when we check in for our Madrid-Porto flight because it wasn't technically three hours before the Porto-Newark departure. But how were we supposed to choose seats for the Porto-Newark flight three hours in advance if we are in an airplane flying to Porto at that time? This makes no sense. Seats should be opened for every leg of a same-day journey at the same time. The agents were unhelpful and unsympathetic. 3) This was an old plane without options to choose a film or show to watch. Instead, passengers could flip through a few channels and hope to find something of interest that was already playing -- there was no way to begin a film or show from the beginning if you landed on it in the middle of its running time. I cannot recommend TAP Portugal to any of my friends, family, or colleagues after this experience."

It is totally a robbery to be charging people for 1 checked bag of only 50lbs. not only is it ridiculous but robbery. You charge a lot of money for the flights as it is and to go and charge people to check a bag on an international flight is insane. It is to bad I have to fly back with you because I will not be flying with you ever again after this I will take my money elsewhere. Also you need to let people know that they are being charged for luggage when the are booking their flight because when I booked my flight nowhere did it say I had to pay for my luggage. It already was rediculous that we are only aloud 1 50lb bag checked and now you want people to pay for it too? Pretty soon you minus well have people just get on a plane naked!!"

Miinukset: "poor quality video and sound for watching movies on long flight attendants were brusque and ignored most passengers(except the ones with special meals) we were on connecting flight with little time in between to grab water or snack - so we sat on this flight for over two hours before we got any refreshments. Some passengers got refills before we got one. Poor execution. we had to check two bags on connecting flight (which we didn't have to do before) and it cost us time and money. Also they lost the two bags - got several days after we got back from trip huge line at immigration - we waited almost two hours will not travel on TAP again"

Miinukset: "The boarding process was ridiculous. Went through security and then a second security screening at the gate when everything was gone through for a lot more than random folks. Then getting on a bus to board the flight instead of a jetway? I thought TAP was Portugal's national airline and had priority space at Lisbon..apparently not. No soap in the bathrooms on the plane! Ran out of diet soda (and we weren't at the back of the plane). On the way over, the flight attendants gave us conflicting instructions about our toddle sons's ability to sleep on the floor or on our laps. The entertainment system didn't work."

Plussat: "The food in Economy was way better than usual U.S. airline food. Ground staff in Newark were helpful in retrieving a book I left on the plane. Captain had the seat belt sign off early and turned it back on late in descent which allowed people to visit the restrooms. Video entertainment was good."
Miinukset: "Captain should have made more P.A. announcements during the coast in over Cape Cod to point out areas of interest"
Plussat: "Center aisle seat was comfortable and pnethy of room for my carryon overhead and underseat."
Miinukset: "I would like to see all TAP planes come with a standard entertainment option on the headrest in front of you with the advanced menu option of movies, games, radio, etc. and ensure all headphone jacks are operational. (Thisnflight the screen was messed up...not something you want to look at for 8 hours. ) I couldn't eat half the food because the salad wasn't anything but cabbage and a tomato and the corn and meat dish was cold and weird. I don't know what the dessert was but I got it down. I think the sandwich I got before landing was pesto and mayonnaise but I'm not sure. I didn't get much of it down before gagging. I wish when booking a flight you were given the menu or you could choose early in the flight and then be served. I bet it would cut down on wasted food and money."
Plussat: "The seats were comfortable and already stocked with a pillow and blanket for all. we each had a personal screen stocked with movies, music, games and flight info. at no additional cost and that was great for passing the time during a long flight from Lisbon to NY. The crew was the best part, so pleasant and helpful and professional. We were instructed to close the shades and were allowed to sleep and woken up for the custom form and the great meal which had the option of soda or wine, etc. at no additional cost. The quality of the food was impressive and the salad even came with a packet of real Portuguese olive oil and vinegar. When appropriate we all had to open the shades and drinks were served again and later a small snack of a sandwich and a juice were given all in perfect timing."

Miinukset: "I found it very frustrating that we were told at the ticket counter the boarding would begin at 11:15am for a 12:45pm flight time. I arrived at the airport over two hrs in advance and then had to run a significant distance through the airport and sweat and be unnecessarily anxious waiting on the customs line only to arrive at the gate at 11:20am, to have my bags checked for a second time and then be unable to get any food or coffee before a flight that did not begin boarding for another 40 minutes. I did and still do not see the need for that additional luggage/security check and then being held at the gate for almost an extra hour for seemingly no reason at all."

Miinukset: "It wasn't at all the airline's fault, but this flight saw random searches at the gate of carry-on luggage + patdowns of selected passengers. I understand fully the imperatives for security, However it would be nice if there were some way to signal passengers that they might want to get to the gate early...... Fortunately I'd experienced it before (same flight out of Lisbon) and knew there was a good chance of a repeat...."
Plussat: "Generally good and professional."
Miinukset: "One washroom was permanent;y dirty because the FLUSH mechanism wasn't performing well. Another washroom was permanently locked - causing higher traffic in the remaining washrooms."
Miinukset: "this was a very last minute flight to return home. It was cancelled within hours. I am very disappointed."

Plussat: "Out of the 100+ flights I've been on in my life. TAP Portugal has been the worst and least professional."
Miinukset: "My first flight from Madrid to Portugal was cancelled (at midnight) so I had to sleep in the terminal because the bus they provided to the hotel couldn't take all of us. Then my flight to New Jersey was delayed several hours making me miss my next flight to Denver (home) and I had to spend a 2nd night in the terminal. I never received and hotel/food/taxi vouchers. I will do everything to avoid flying with TAP Portugal ever again."
Plussat: "Nice flight, clean planes, decent amount of beverages/food provided, good TVs"
Plussat: "Excellent portuguese food served on board, crew was friendly."
Miinukset: "My entertainment console did not work for the entire 8 hour flight, and to make matters worse the screen kept flashing a bright white light every 30 seconds or so, preventing me from sleeping. I had to tell 3-4 crew members for them to at least broadcast a movie to my seat to make the flashing stop. I was also seated right next to the bathroom, which usually isn't so bad, but since most of the passengers were elderly, it was being used literally nonstop for the majority of the flight. The crew only briefly cleaned it once... I was seated next to a screaming toddler as well. This isn't really the airline's fault, but it certainly didn't help. I felt like I did not get my money's worth for this flight and that it was a poor experience."
