Kayak put us on different planes at different times on our return flight back to the USA. I had assumed we were flying together ( sisters with the same last names), so I showed up at the airport to find out that I had missed my first flight. I already had a boarding pass for the next flight, but Kayak had canceled me and booked someone else in my seat. No more seats in economy and I had to pay $1750. Euros for another ticket. Why would 2 passengers flying together and booking together be put on different planes and different times. We will NEVER use Kayak again!7"

Miinukset: "Frankfurt airport is dreadful. I'm elderly and being forced to climb up and down stairs to the Tarmac with luggage and then crammed into a bus to the terminal was terrible. I would avoid Frankfurt at all costs. Lufthansa needs to take some initiative with this."

Miinukset: "1 person working the service desk. I had a question about our connecting flight from Frankfurt and I was told to call the 1-800 number. When I went to check my bag the woman was very rude and asked me "why do I think I can check two bags?" and questioned my Star Alliance premium silver status, demanding I show her my card (I have no card). My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."
Plussat: "Great service both before boarding the plane and while in flight. The check in line was out of control, but lufthansa staff members ensured that I could still make my flight."

Miinukset: "We were detained at the airport after boarding and then deboarding without information. The entire flight was locked in a room and not allowed to leave with very little explanation as to why. After 5 hours they let us board another plane. There was water and candy supplied as food. It was a joke for anyone with kids or the elderly. Nevermind anyone with health concerns. BAD way to manage a crisis in my opinion. We were treated like cattle. And these were NOT cheap tickets."

Plussat: "Seats comfortable. Decent legroom. Crew pleasant. Food was very good especially for a very short flight."
Miinukset: "I did not know I had purchased economy light ticket. With this you can only carry on 18 pounds and must check and PAY to check any other bag. I looked at my reservation from Vaysms and did not see notice of this. Surprised that one hour trip at this price , well over $200, was in this category. Also trying to buy the option for the bag on phone was difficult. Whole page with options would not show and getting English version was difficult probably because page would not fit on screen."
Plussat: "Our flight out of Amsterdam was roughly 30 minutes late. Since we were connecting to an International flight to return to the US there was no possibility we would be able to get to the International terminal through security and board our flight in the time available. So, Lufthansa staff met the connecting passengers as we disembarked, shuttled us via bus to the International terminal and ensured we made our connection. Finally, for airline food it was quite good (Vegan)."

Miinukset: "This was NOT a Lufthansa flight. The plane was a United flight. One of the worst I have experienced in 40 years of flying to Europe and Hawaii."

The bathroom made me gag, the food and the entertainment left much to be desired but the service was good. Cannot complain about the flight attendants. Entertainment was also very 2008 with tine screens and not able to select what and when to watch. They only had movies and series on loop. Will avoid having to fly United in the future and will make sure I am indeed getting on a Lufthansa plane."
Plussat: "The crew was great, very friendly and attentive. Sitting in Economy plus is acceptable comfort wise. Captain was very communicative when there was a mechanics issue and delay, much appreciated."
Miinukset: "United check in desk was unnecessarily long wait, other airports/airlines have a better flow. The screens on the seat backs on 767 are ridiculously small and stuttery. The main meal was not very good, pasta sauce was gross, could've done better with prego."

Miinukset: "They ran out of the chicken for dinner and only had manicotti left, which was horrible! No apologies for running out of 1 of the 2 options. The audio was horrible. In order to watch the movies, I had to hold the cord in 2 places in the exact right manner, or it would cut out and there would only be silence. Not fun trying to maintain that position for 9 hours."

Miinukset: "Both ways up and down I struggled with over-head luggage space. We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"

There we all stayed until finally we demanded that we be taken to our flight which was supposed to leave in about 10 minutes. When we boarded the plane all the other passengers were already there and I was the last one on. All the overhead bins were taken and I had to put my carry-on under the seat which left me with almost no leg room. By the time we arrived in SFO my thighs and back hurt so much that I was worried maybe I would require medical attention. Which fortunately was not the case. It was luck that I had a bag that would actually fit under the seat."

Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"

Miinukset: "Service was poor and seats were uncomfortable. There were only 4 flight attendants for the entire flight. It took over an hour for our food to be served after we received our drinks. The food was not good at all. The movie options were not the best either. Also, it was so hot during the entire flight especially once we landed and taxied for 30 minutes. I flew SAS to Europe and really enjoyed my flight but this experience makes me never want to fly SAS again!"

Had to ask flight attendants to ask them to raise seats, at least during meal service. Food was worst of any international flight we've been on and we fly internationally several times a year. Very poor selection of movies and map was not working this flight."

Miinukset: "Three and a half hour flight and all they offer free is coffee and soft drinks! The economy seats are small and the flight attendants are indifferent, until it's time to promote their duty free products. Find an airline with better customer service."
Miinukset: "I order through Kayak, which took me to priceline...Got my ticket and thought everything was fine...Until I got to the airport, apparently I got a SAS lite ticket and they charged me to check 3 bags 210 Euros...Unreal. I think its pricelines fault because they did not even offer bagage as an option..."
Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Miinukset: "We paid $90 per checked bag. When we purchased our tickets we were never given an option to purchase luggage ahead of time, we were under the impression that luggage was included."

Miinukset: "When purchasing the ticket there was no mentione that bagage was NOT included something which I assume when flying with an All Star airline. Ended up paying an extra 70 € for my luggage - not happy."

Staff was rude, unapologetic, demanding and incompetent the entire time. Flight was packed, uncomfortable and smelled terrible. Flight was rough, landing was rough. Terrible airline."

Miinukset: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."
Plussat: "Introduce meals even to economy class"
Miinukset: "I didn't.t like your movies selection? Not very current. the food was awful. Not being able to book a seat until I arrived from Amsterdam."

Priority entrance was open, but then another 20-25 min in the closed waiting area, some kind of hoarder. Only then the mixture of all passengers was let through the sleeve to the plane. Why bother about Priority? Plane arrive in NYC 35 min late. Many transit passengers worried about their connecting flights."

The number of exclamation marks is not exaggerated here. You can't even ask if they even have the item in their possession. Rarely had such a bad experience at an airport, and I travel a lot for work. This alone makes me think thrice about EVER getting Finnair again. Same company that manages the airport, so I'm giving this flight a bad review."

Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

Miinukset: "Plane was canceled at the last minute with a transfer desk literally assaulted by 100s of people. Only 3 persons on the desk. No lane for sky priority. Queued for nearly two hours before some airport employee gave us instructions to travel by train without any other information or tickets etc. Had to buy my ticket. Couldn’t recuperate my suitcase. Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

This policy applied even to people with Economy Premium for the rest of the trip (which allows 2 carry-on suitcases, not a useful feature if one cannot begin with this number to reach the transoceanic flight)."
Plussat: "Crew was friendly and professional, fresh croissant and hot chocolate on my short flight. As many airlines charge now for any and all food items it was nice to again experience fast and efficient food and beverage service without the tedious hassle of ordering and paying. I’d gladly fly Air France again. First time, but likely not the last."

Best airline food I’ve had in a long time. The chocolate dessert was incredible. And a coffee to go with it. Made a three hour flight very pleasant."

Miinukset: "We were rebooked, which understandably happens for any number of reasons. However, we were not informed or asked about our preference until our luggage was checked through! The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."
Plussat: "The flight crew was excellent. My husband and I flew economy and I saw the crew keep passengers well fed (several meals and snacks) and were attentive to everyone's needs and all done with a smile. I thought the hot towels for cleansing our hands before meals was a very nice touch!"
