Miinukset: "I was not allowed to fly because the reason was “tourist” even though the website said that Croatia was open to tourists. I was not given a straight answer as to what is going on the whole day. The assistants at the Turkish ticket counter were very friendly but the experience was so stressful as I was stuck at the airport and there are no ATM’s so I could not pay for a visa to get a hotel to stay in Turkey for the night. I finally managed to pay online, but really just a horrible experience all around."

The check in process was the most chaotic I've seen in recent times. No clear order, no clear counters. We bounced back and forth before we checked in our luggage. At the gate, another long chaotic line of multiple questioning and bag/body search before we boarded buses to our plane. When we boarded we found out we were split at 2 or 1 seat arrangements (out of 5 travelers). After complaining, there were able to seat at least 3 (with one lap child) together and 1 separate. The plane was uncomfortably hot all flight long despite notifying the flight attendants. The one restroom ran out of soap in the first hour of the 11 hour flight. They quickly ran out of a choice for lunch option and snacks. I fly Turkish Airlines frequently and I usually am satisfied, but this was exceptionally bad experience."

Instead of beginning boarding at the time printed on my ticket, like every other airline, boarding was completed and closed fifteen minutes before my ticket said they would start, so even though I was eight minutes early I was actually seven minutes too late. Turkish Airlines service desk took the evidence (my ticket) and then refused to rebook me, forcing me to pay $600 for a new flight and for a visa to Turkey just so I could exit through security to book & pay for it. They will not be getting any more of my business in the future!"

Miinukset: "I booked three round-trip tickets from LAX to Athens. Our daughter did not fly with us there but we checked with ticketing in LAX and they booked her seat anyway. The issue came when we tried to leave Athens the airlines then said that I had to purchase a one-way ticket! They informed me that the flight was cancelled for my daughter because she didn't fly to Athens. The ticket was almost $1,500.00 and I intend to get my money back but it was unfortunate that they had to charge me for it in the first place."

People getting up during landing, littering in the plane, clogging toilets, creating spills, NEVER listening to announcements made by the crew, etc. It's essentially a zoo. I sat by a bulkhead seat, and I had maybe 200 people push by my feet, step on them, knock around my shoes and TV console during the flight. It's a somewhat tiring spectacle for 10 hours on end."

Not only that - the Lufthansa people VOIDED his entire ticket including the second leg because the agency wasn't picking up for a rebooking so the entire ticket cost was lost - $1200 - GONE! We couldn't even get him a one way ticket so he could use the return part of the one he bought. This is an absolute customer service disaster. This man lost all his money, he saves up all year to go see his family. That's an ugly way to take advantage of people."

Miinukset: "The flight attendants could have been a bit more cordial and smiling. The dessert was only a choclate. Would have liked something better. Entertainment needed more variety. Boarding was a bit of a mess as they did not let families board first and were not very accomodative of families with small children, though I had a 9 year old, but there was a family with two very small children and they were not very helpful to them."
Plussat: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Miinukset: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."

The tv screen does not move out far enough to view when the person in front has their seat all the way back. Selection is limited compared to the non stop flight previous from Miami to Helsinki. There isn't an option to view the flight details in flight which is interesting to some passengers. At least have the option."

Miinukset: "The seats are too small, and there were two empty rows behind us, but the crew seemed to be using them to sleep and did not allow anyone back there. The monitors were in the aisle, and I could not see it well, and I was never offered any headphones, so I could not watch the in flight entertainment. Overall, the flight was pretty disappointing."

Miinukset: "The flight and the entire process with American was just fine. What bothered me most was the rude treatment from security staff in Philadelphia. Compared to security staff overseas, the U.S. rates the lowest of the 55+ countries I've visited. It does not reflect badly on American Airlines, but it does give travelers a bad lasting impression. As an American, I'm embarrassed by their behavior."

Miinukset: "The space and seats were uncomfortable. The seat my husband was sitting in (30A window seat), the touch screen seemed to have some technical issues, for it did not recognize when you touch the screen. It was a bit frustrating trying to select entertainment. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane, therefore almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport service desks and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."

We arrived on-time, went through the line and were then placed in a standing room only area to stand and wait for another 45 minutes before boarding. We were placed near the entrance (I thought to board early as a family) but were later told to join another line when we asked why we sere just standing and waiting while other passengers were walking past us. The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

Plussat: "I am used to traveling continents with other companies. There has always been 2 check in bags allowed with no extra charge as long as you are under 23kg on each. I get to the airport with my 2 bags ready, TAP tells me on large holidays, they only allow 1 bag to be checked to my specific african destination until January 11. And that one bag will cost me $120. They will not let me have the second one. Who does that? How much sense is this supposed to have. I checked with others and they do not do that. Never again they will see me."

Miinukset: "Food was mediocre and cold except for the major hot dish. Lights were on almost all night in cabiaudio and video were subpar or nonexistent. Staff explained it was an old plan Seats were okay for short fight but not comfortable for long flight"
Plussat: "I really appreciated the fact that the gate agents enforced the boarding process meticulously. Often times, even when boarding a certain zone, passengers ignore it and board anyway. The staff made sure that people only boarded when their zone was called. The flight and the aircraft was comfortable. The food was better than what I've had on other airlines, if not at least equal."

Miinukset: "Overbooked the flight by 20 people and split up our group of 4 traveling together. They gave 3 of us tickets and then told my dad who is the least experience traveler that he doesn't have a seat because he didn't check in online even though we were at the airport 2 hours ahead to check in. Paying $1000 for a ticket and then being told you don't have a seat is absolutely unprofessional and rediculous. We were traveling home from europe and had 2 other connections we had to make. After 3 hours they were able to transfer us all to another flight back to the states and then lost my dad's luggage. Horrible experience! Will not travel TAP again!"
Miinukset: "I had a 17 hour overnight layover in Lisbon and I am a gold member of star alliance yet the TAP customer service desk in Lisbon told me they can not give me a hotel voucher for the night! Seems wrong."
