This meant that I missed my connecting flight in Munich, had to endure an extended lay over, board an extra flight to Budapest and endure an even more unbearable lay over there before being able to reach my final destination in Athens. I paid for a one-stop flight and have ended up having to endure a two-stop flight with extended lay overs. I feel completely cheated out of my money and overall have had a terrible experience."

Miinukset: "My flight was cancelled due to the pilots' strike. I only learned about this when I attempted online check in. Lufthansa never attempted to notify me. Then when I called in to the Romania Service Center to rebook, the phones went down in the middle of the call. That is understandable given the extreme volume of calls they were handling. What is unacceptable, is that they made no attempt to contact me once the phones were up. I ended up calling the U.S. service center at 1am local time to rebook...only 3 hours before I needed to leave for the airport. It took an hour - which I paid for at direct dial international rates - to find a flight. I'm very grateful for the U.S. service rep who was kind and helpful. She was the one bright spot in this poorly handled situation."

Miinukset: "The airplane left Barcelona late and arrived in Frankfurt late. Lufthansa only allowed a 45 minute layover in Frankfurt to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. Because we arrived late - we only had 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. What made this an awful experience is that the flight from Barcelona landed at Gate A - our connecting flight was at Gate Z. This was as about as far away from each gate as you could get. This was over a mile to run in order to catch our connecting flight - I hurt my hamstring during the run. The Lufthansa "assisting agent" in the Frankfurt terminal was less than helpful and laughed when we told her where our connecting gate was. Not only did she laugh but she did not offer any assistance to get us to the gate on time. Prior to our trip - I called Lufthansa and voiced my concern that a 45 minute layover for an international flight was not a lot of time for us to make a connecting flight. The agent I spoke with said that legally - 45 minutes was a standard lay over for Lufthansa and she did not offer me any alternatives. This was not a pleasant experience with Lufthansa and I doubt we will fly with you again."

Plussat: "The food was good, and crew came around several times to offer drinks."

Plussat: "With German precision the crew worked the area. When I started to feel hungry they came with food. When I was getting thirsty, they delivered beverages. Overall, I liked Lufthansa and I would recommend them to others."
Miinukset: "There was an obstruction in the way of where my feet would go. I was on the aisle and the guy at the window seat had the same problem. Luckily, we had no one seated between us. We basically did the unspoken and we shared the foot space of the vacant middle seat."

Miinukset: "No legroom in coach. The person in front of me was sitting in my lap. They are the only airline that weighs your handbag, the luggage you take onboard. E en of it fits the size requirements they weigh it and make you confirm. They don't care if your checked luggage is underweight but your hand luggage is overweight and both add up to less than what you're allowed overall. Makes no sense and is such a useless hassle."

Miinukset: "Everyone's breakfast was supposed to be an "egg and bacon" flavored wrap of some sort, but there was absolutely no egg or bacon flavor associated with it. The flavor of bacon is very distinctive. This thing's flavor and texture suggested some sort of very tasteless doughy material, with certainly nothing tasting like egg or bacon inside of it. Ugh."

Plussat: "I have used Kayak for years without issue. This time I was flying SAS for the first time. The plane broke and so that was the first huge delay SAS had terrible customer service. They reminded me several times that I was not a preferred customer and that I had bought my ticket through kayak. This is the reason they gave for lack of help. It was frustrating to say the least. I’m not sure how they expect to gain repeat customers if they treat first time customers like that."

Miinukset: "Really rude flight attendant even after we boarded and left late. She was rude to people sitting in the exit seats, rudely demanding attention while she rushed through the safety guidelines. She then very rudely told me I had to pay for what I was trying to order, even though I was reading it off the menu? She acted as if I was stupid because I don’t speak swedish, but she did not speak the language of our destination, and it was a connecting flight."

Miinukset: "We waited an hour in the plane before take-off and after boarding, during which time the crew deliberately filled the cabin icecold air thick with the highly toxic fumes from the deicing. I got a headache from it. Throughout the process the entertainment units were disabled, when they could have helped distract passengers from this ordeal. The food was disgusting. When the Danish government has repatedly bailed out SAS, it would make a lot more sense for everyone involved to have higher quality Danish products on board for the meals, especially for such things as dairy products."

Miinukset: "The breakfast entree was salty and a beverage was not served with our meal. The gap between the entree was too long for enjoymenty. My friends and I were thirsty when we were eatinmg. Also, the wine selections were not the standard fan favorite. Not many enjoy Zinfandel or the white wine they were serving."

Miinukset: "On the flight Copenhagen to WAW only one cup of water per passenger..?????....."

Plussat: "We were eventually rebooked in the class we paid for."
Miinukset: "Our flight was cancelled with no notice. We were rebooked in economy class when we paid over $5,000 for business class tickets, and told we would "probably" receive a refund for the difference. after much prodding, asking and begging, we were finally rebooked in a flight on Lufthansa the same night. That airline was upset, though, because SAS did not call them or notify them that we had been switched to their airline."

Miinukset: "At self check-in, we received a message that we had been placed on standby and that our seats were no longer guaranteed (for the SECOND time this trip with no explanation despite our having purchased our tickets quite some time ago). We were directed to the gate for questions. No one manned the gate until right before boarding. We spent the entire time in a panic trying to figure out how else we could get to our destination in time for a wedding. When we finally talked to someone at the counter, he said this was just normal procedure to be able to shuffle seats. This is not normal. I have flown with many airlines, and I cannot imagine it is ever "normal" policy to tell people they have been downgraded to standby until just before the flight. So much anxiety. Also, the flight was delayed, and the crew had no communication about gates or any other information (within their OWN AIRLINE) for those with connecting flights."

Miinukset: "No complimentary peanuts or cookies! Paying for soda or juice. Very tight legroom. Window wouldn't close."

Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."

Miinukset: "When I checked in I was told I had no bag allowance and had to pay 70 euro to check my bag. I feel like this was very sketchy on kyaak's part since it must have been on the fine print. I will be more cautious next time. Sas was otherwise fine."

Miinukset: "This is our third delay with this airline on this trip and all they will do is send you to their service center which in Copenhagen is located so far from the gates it's a joke. Once again they are doing their best to discourage any interaction with their customers."

Miinukset: "There was a delay because of a software issue. They had to shift people around manually because of it. Baggage Fee was extremely high (> $50)"

We waited on the plane for most of that half hour with no explanation of why When calling rows to board -- after calling rows 1 through 13 she then called rows 41 and after. She skipped our row 14. This could definitely be an issue with overhead space"

Plussat: "Heathrow terminal 5 is modern, clean and efficient. The BA 787 Dreamliner is the best and the crew were professional all throughout the journey."
Miinukset: "I would avoid flying into Newark internationally if I have the option next time. Besides from the obvious that the airport is outdated, it is totally understaffed. There were about a staff of four directing international travelers at Passport Control and they were impolite which created a stressful and unwelcoming experience. The second issue I experienced was at baggage claim. Due to some issue I didn’t personally experienced, non-US passport holders experienced major delays entering the country. This resulted in hundreds of luggage that were left unclaimed from a previous flight still on the carousel. There was only two airport staff at this area so people from the BA flight had to take these the bags off the carousel inorder to make space for our flights bags to fit. It’s was totally chaotic and easily avoidable if there were more airport staff managing this area. This international airport is a national embarrassment, and if you’re a foreign traveler, I would highly discourage you from flying into Newark."

Miinukset: "Seats, entertainment system. Lounge at Heathrow airport served bad food. Bread had fungus in it. I pointed out to the staff there, and there reaction was "no big deal" !! There is such a big difference in"

Plussat: "exit row seating was very nice, good service and decent food."
Miinukset: "entertainment screens were small and did not work for the majority of the flight"

Miinukset: "BA pulled a fast one on the passengers by first gradually increasing the projected delay, up to 3.5 hours, and then last minute changing the flight status from "delayed by 3.5 hours" to "on time, gate open". They did this without making any announcements on the loudspeaker, or sending any notifications to the passengers. Whoever didn't see the status change on a screen would have missed the flight. The crew must have recognized this (after half of the plane didn't show up), and just decided to wait some more, so our "on time" flight was eventually delayed by 1.5 hours only because the airline couldn't shepherd the passengers together when they were ready to leave."

Plussat: "Crew was late due to Thanksgiving traffic. The Crew was then very rude during the flight and unapologetic for what has to be the most ridiculous reason for a flight delay I have ever experienced. If a passenger had that excuse, do you think the airline would wait for the passenger? Lame."

Miinukset: "only complaint was that the woman next to me had the aisle seat, drank 4 units of alcohol and fell asleep so i was unable to go to the bathroom. additionally, she didn't get up once so why she needed the aisle seat is beyond me."

Miinukset: "We had to cancel flight due to Hurricane Irma change of flights from London. BA refused to let us rebook or change flight. Poor poor customer service! I will never fly BA again!!"

Miinukset: "I ended up calling American Airlines and they changed my flight completely. I will never be using Kayak again as you made a stressful situation even more stressful. You don't care about your customers at all. If you did you would have a customer service here in America"

Miinukset: "Purchase through viyama, an Iberia flight that was a code share with British airways and American Airlines. Iberia is terrible with getting its passengers online check-in on their code share partners. Was unable to check-in, got stuck in middle seat. Return seems to be the same situation with American Airlines."

Miinukset: "1. Bought ticket via kayak chicago to prague, so I got outgoing trip on British airways but they codeshare it out to Aer Lingus. Unfortunately, these dumbos haven't figured out that no matter what the gyrations they do, I still want to be able to pick my seat beforehand. Nada. Not possible online. And forget calling aer lingus 800 number. called twice and was on hold for 30 min each time, they dont bother answering. 2. At airport, I was willing to pay extra for a good seat because of the issues above, so they said they would help me out. Ha - the manager who purportedly was helping me out gave me a seat up front next to a shrieking infant and behind a bassinet (he knew exactly what he was doing but didnt care). They really lie and think we're idiots. 3. Same thing for flight from dublin to prague. This time last row next to toliets Dont fly aer lingus if you dont book directly with them, same for british airways I looked at BA's website - they do let you book a seat in advance but you must pay something for every single seat. Crazy. There are no free seats"

Miinukset: "We booked a wheelchair transfer from the connecting flight, and BA refused to provide the service. My elderly mother in law with limited mobility was left alone and stranded at Heathrow and was only assisted by fellow passengers (NOT BA staff). Unbelievable."

Plussat: "No turbulence!!!"

Plussat: "Only 40 people on the flight. Fast flight Nice to Heathrow. Got in 20 min early. That is what happens when the flight is almost empty. But then we had to wind our way from Terminal #5 to #2."
Miinukset: "No free food or drink. One guy on board could afford the 16£ champagne at lunch time. Must of had a craving."
