I wondered if he got better treatment because of that"

That was particularly annoying, especially since the optics of the situation were such that I used miles to purchase the flight and got "screwed-over" with respect to my seat selection as if my ticket held less weight than other passengers..."

I was sent to the Lufthansa counter, which didn’t open until 11:30, when I should have gone to the United counter. An hour of my time was wasted, which almost resulted in my missing the one-hour before take-off check-in deadline. The only reason I didn’t miss the deadline was because the flight was late taking off."
Plussat: "Your helpline number is very disappointing... the staff on the call is very rude.. they did not help us in payment and was least bothered about the customers.. i am a frequent traveler with luftansa and this is the last time I am traveling in luftansa... teach your staff some manners about how to talk to customers"

The flight was delayed so I had no option but to board the next day since I wouldn't be able to make it to the connecting flight in Frankfurt. They couldn't give me another connecting flight since it was all full. Because I booked my ticket only hours before my flight, they said it might not be possible to fulfil my meal request since there's a 24 hours cut off. However, now I had to cone back to the airport and take the next days flight which gave the airline more than 24 hours from my original meal request. I still did not get the meal I requested, the crew didn't know about it and didn't have any to spare. This was my first time flying Lufthansa, I probably won't try it again."
Plussat: "The hospitality crew that was at SFO gave us the location of a lounge to go to which closed at 8 pm. The time they gave the location was at 8.25 pm. She was uninformed and not very highly trained. Lounge was disgusting. Messy, crowded - seemed like a 2nd class waiting room in an Indian railway station. The boarding was very poorly managed by the same lady!"

Miinukset: "The only thing I didn't like is that the boarding process was different than what I was used to. I usually board by zones and this time it was more of a everyone got up at the same time and everyone rushed to the front of the lines and some people would push me out of the way to get in front. ( even though we all had assigned seating) Second thing was that I had asked for a wheelchair for my mom and I had seen one waiting outside and was about to walk up to it but another person was limping up to it and put her stuff down on it so I didn't know if it was for my mom or her. I didn't have the heart to go up and make her move if the wheelchair was for my mom so we ended up walking the whole way to customs. I felt bad for my mom afterwards because her knees ended up hurting by the time we got to customs. I would suggest holding up signs of individual names for who the wheelchair is for. Other than that everything was great"

Plussat: "I really enjoyed my flight with Lufthansa. My gluten free meals were very good and the service was excellent!"

Plussat: "I have ordered the salmon fish dinne and the fish was totally overlooked, dry and tough. I could not swallow the fish and ate the tiny bread roll only. The second was breakfast wigh tasteless scrambled egg and mushroom and spinach. Both serving sizes were really small with just one side dish of fruits. I was hungry the whole 10 hours flight."

Miinukset: "Lufthansa does not honor frequent flyer statuses of any of their alliance partners in regards to seat upgrades. Being 6'4", the ability to upgrade to economy plus/premium is important on long-haul flights. Everything else about Lufthansa is excellent, but I will not book with Lufthansa for long flights anymore because of this. I'll stick with United from now on."

Miinukset: "The flight never took off. We had to wait 6 hours in line, and they still couldn't rebook many of us. When I was finally rebooked on a Swiss Air flight, the flight was invalid, Swiss didn't accept it. I was send to various different lines, and they didn't even understand what my problem was. Finally after spending 2 whole days at the San Francisco airport, I could take off with a 30 hour delay. The Swiss Air flight was wonderful."

Miinukset: "The space is so small. For 11plus hours my body could not move. I never had knee problem but they were so sore. My feet and body got extremely tight mid way in the flight. This is my first and last flight in your airlines."
Miinukset: "Food was lousy. I have not flown L for sometime, but the food was lousy. I don't remember it being this bad previously. They ran out of rice and chicken...and served me beef... The chicken was on the bone, instead of being off the bone...so harder to eat in small space."

Plussat: "Plane was clean and the economy-class seats were relatively comfortable. Entertainment was good. Bathroom facilities on lower deck was a good layout, avoided the usual waiting in the aisles to use the restroom. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good."
Miinukset: "Was not familiar with many of the drink brands, and the drinks differed from what I typically saw on flights, so would be nice to have some explanation of what they are (maybe it was in the in-flight magazine, but I missed it)."

Thumbs up for KLM crew, planes and Schiphol Airport, though short on staff and a little late everything went smooth, including the flight.

Very cramped flight, overhead bins were all completely filled, and passengers had to fly with bags by their feet which was not very comfortable for me personally.
Wrote in the previous message. Poor. Delayed flight and lost working day. 4.5h together to rebook the flight, get the hotel voucher, get to the hotel and check in. Insanely slow.
They canceled our flights but the flight went on anyway.

The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Miinukset: "Poor timing - no reason for a 40 minute delay at take off (plane was fully boarded in time) Old aircraft, shabby, dirty and cramped seats. Coming from my connecting flight from Barcelona, I could clearly tell the different in the quality (and cleanliness) of the aircrafts."
Miinukset: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Miinukset: "My check in luggage was in very bad condition when I receive it. My clothes were all wet and they got bab by each other’s colour. Many clothes are not in a condition to wear now. Those were expensive and I had a big loss because of that."

We simply wanted to know how much would be charged if the bag was 1-2kgs overweight. We could not get a straight answer, just quoted the unclear company policy. Extremely frustrating and annoying. KLM offer a superior flight experience - it is a shame their terrestrial customer servic does not match it!"
Plussat: "The cabin crew were pretty good. That's about all that was good."
Miinukset: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."
Plussat: "The last two times we connected in Amsterdam to Humberside our luggage was delayed. This time it wasn’t. The simple things give the greatest satisfaction"

Miinukset: "Amsterdam customs is the most disorganized I have ever seen. With the number of tourists entering the country you would think they would have done something about it. There were only 2 customs agents!! One for all passports and 1 for all passports. We were in the customs hall longer than we were in flight!"

It was a great flight and great crew.
I was booked in economy and was upgraded to business class by bidding for the upgrade. The business class experience was excellent. The seat was very spacious and comfortable. The meal service was provided by trolley service so each course was chosen at your seat so you could view each selection. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only negative thing was the entertainment selection. There were few movies to choose from in comparison to other airlines I have flown.
I don’t know how it’s possible but the airline has squeezed extra seats onto the plane which are not even an arm’s-length distance from the toilets. So on a redeye international flight that anyone would want some sleep on , we were placed in seats that didn’t recline and smelled like the bathrooms the whole time with them opening and closing every 10 seconds while the whole plane was using them. absolutely horrible flight!!!

Flight got delayed in SFO. Had layover in Copenhagen for 1 hours but missed my connecting flight because of delay in SFO. Had to wait 6 hours in Copenhagen for next flight :'(

Miinukset: "Its simple. Turns out i had to pay 360 dollars for my baggages which was hever specified in the time i was purchasing tickets cause they said im flying without and i can come back with. Who is flying without baggage intercontinental for 1 month? And 3 baggages didnt arrived. Thanks"

Miinukset: "SFO-Copenhagen was cancelled. Only hint for that came from Kayak which I didn't even use for booking (I used Flyus). Sas and Flyus didn't notify us and sas customer service had to actually use 5 min to verify that flight was cancelled after we called them. That left some poor rebooking options. Anyway, I am very disappointed how Sas didn't notify us. It would have been even nastier if we had got to the airport before realizing that flight was cancelled."

Miinukset: "The seat I selected was changed. I selected 45C and was assigned 54 E Upon check-in. Why? An aisle seat vs middle seat when I paid full faire is unacceptable. Also it was not made clear that I would have had to pay to check luggage. $120??!!!! I always carry on and this could have been easily avoided by not bringing gifts. Again, $120?!!!!! On top of an $1100 flight? You have to be kidding me."
Plussat: "entertainment in the back of the front seat with great choice of movies"
Miinukset: "I would have liked to have had the chance to purchase a better seat. When I asked about it at check-in the plane was full. So I was squeezed in the middle section which made it quite uncomfortable, especially if you have to get up more frequently as an older person, but your neighbor is asleep. A notification about the possibilities for seat purchases would have been great!"
Miinukset: "Delayed flight - 2 1/2 hrs. No advance info. Departure gate change after check in. No Info at original gate. Unfriendly staff. No apology. No explanation for delay. Food substandard, even for cheap airlines."

Miinukset: "We were in 40G and H, bulkhead seats. I have never had such a hot plane (and I am a world traveler). We were both very warm (felt like 85 degrees- warm enough to not be comfortable). I was told by the flight attendant that people in back of plane were freezing. The breakfast was good, but the dinner was ok, but not ‘I wish I could have seconds” good. I lowered the rating because they never gave us more than the one bottle of water that was on our seats when we arrived. That may have been ok for the people in the cold part of the plane but not for us in the sweating part. Luckily we had brought a big bottle of water."

The vegetarian breakfast was grilled veggies with fruit and yogurt on the side, kind of a mish-mash of things."

Plussat: "The gate agent at check-in was very helpful and knowledgeable. The entire ground crew did a good job. The crew was friendly and attentive. The plane was clean. The entertainment options were more than adequate. Bathrooms were well kept."
Miinukset: "I know you can't expect coach to be luxurious. But the space between seats in the airline industry in general have gotten ridiculously small. Words were exchanged between my wife and the lady (nothing extreme, but still) in the seat in front of her. When the lady leaned her seat back, my wife could barely watch her movie. All in all, I would definitely fly SAS again."
Plussat: "The crew was nice, the plane was large and had many bathrooms. The seats were comfortable enough and there was a good selection of movies to watch."
Miinukset: "The boarding process was completely disorganized and hectic. The woman making the announcements on the plane was extremely soft spoken and the PA system was static-y so I could neither hear nor understand any of the announcements. The refrigeration system for the food also broke down on the plane so we weren't fed our second meal. Instead, they chose the cheapest and most unappealing snack of plain almonds to give us. Despite confirming our luggage situation with us at the first airport repeatedly (because of our connecting flight) SAS still temporarily lost our baggage when we arrived at our final destination and caused us to stay an additional hour at the airport after already having spent an exhausting day travelling."
Miinukset: "Flight delayed so that would not be able to make the SAS flight. Therefore had to switch flights to go to CHicago instead. But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."
Miinukset: "We couldn't check in online because we had an infant in arms. So we tried to check in there. There were 3 different terrible queues. One to use the machines, one to check bags and another for special situations. We tried the machines, didn't work. A rep told us to go to the special situations line. There was a rep there that was trying to prevent people to getting into the line because it was sooo long (1+ hr). So we tied the machines again. Didn't work. So we convinced the guy to let us in the special line. It was nuts. We waited as our flight got closer and closer. Right when it looked like we might make the flight, one of the TWO reps left. When we finally made it, they said we wouldn't make the flight. We rebooked and had to pay extra. WORST travel experience ever."
Miinukset: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."
Miinukset: "When purchasing the ticket there was no mentione that bagage was NOT included something which I assume when flying with an All Star airline. Ended up paying an extra 70 € for my luggage - not happy."

New boarding pass had to be issued with another seat assignment. SAS is on my no fly list."
