BUT kayak booked an ECONOMY LIGHT fare that required payment. It was not as advertised and a total head ache for check in."

Plussat: "The flight was only about 1 hour. Everything ran smoothly once we took off. The crew was very good, providing gate information for connecting passengers."

I have used the same bag in previous Lufthansa flights without any problem. She sarcastically told me that "I am not Americanaki" - a derogatory expression used by those in Greece who consider the Americans naive."

For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Miinukset: "Flying to Munich- flight was cancelled. Had to rebook on United for the following day. Arrived almost 2 days late (the original was direct, the United had layovers) and missed a planned trip to Neuschwanstein castle. Flying from Munich- The entertainment screen was broken, completely unusable. After a hard reset by the flight attendant several times... Still broken. She said she thought it would fix itself once we were at cruising altitude. Nope. Notified the flight attendant who said vaguely "I'll see what I can do..." Never came back to check, never got offered any sort of compensation (even something like a free mixed drink would have been nice), offer to move seats, nothing. So- ten hours with no entertainment/nothing to watch, just a malfunctioning screen. Food was mediocre. We boarded late, and left almost 1 hour late because they had to wait for an employee (who was not working, just getting a ride back) to board. Literally there and back with Lufthansa was a fiasco. On top of it, we have been back for 3 weeks and are still waiting to hear back from Lufthansa customer service. Apparently they only communicate by email with complaints. Not over the phone. So after repeated emails, just radio silence. Terrible airline."

Miinukset: "Although we had reserved (paid) seats as a family in an entire row, upon check in we were given different seats. We had to spend 20 minutes talking with different agents in order to get our original seats."

Plussat: "I have a servere hearing problem and was concerned (since we were late leaving Zurich for my changeover in Frankfurt), that I would be late because I can't hear any loudspeaker systems (either on planes or in airports). I felt that I could get easily lost between flights and not have time to get to the Frankfurt/Denver flight. I told this to the person at the gate in Zurich, and he immediately arranged for someone to meet me in Frankfurt and take me there. I was met by Maika in Frankfurt and she was just excellent--personable and efficient and really helpful. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person at the gate in Zurich. He was also great. I wouldn't have done this if I had had more time, but this really made my day (and my flight!) ! Thank you!"

Miinukset: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."
Plussat: "Comfortable, clean plane and excellent, attentive service on board. We had little time between connections but airport staff offered to drive us, two seniors, to distant gate on his cart which was a lifesaver."

Miinukset: "No seating area at or near the gate we boarded at, and as boarding was delayed, many people ended up standing for some time because we did not wish to wander too far and then be late for boarding."

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."
Plussat: "Crew worked hard to make the journey pleasant, including the second crew for my connection to New York JFK, a much longer flight. Even some of the food was edible."
Plussat: "I like that everything is done fairly quickly and efficiently."
Miinukset: "It may be a cultural thing for some, but two of the flight attendants did not smile at all. Not even really an acknowledgement when I said hello to them. And I tried throughout the flight to see if it was just because they were too busy or simply did not hear or notice me. It's not a big deal now, but it can be if the whole staff were to become silent and non-interactive."

Miinukset: "Flight repeatedly delayed and then cancelled due to United technical issues. Was rebooked on another carrier, but United couldn't get our baggage back to us in time to make that flight thanks to the absolute circus that ensued at the gate. 9:55am flight turns into a night at the airport hotel with vouchers that would only allow us to eat from the horrible buffett (ordering off the hotel menu was not covered). Put on same flight the follow day. Wait for it.... Delayed again (no weather). Would never have booked a flight with United in the first place due to similar issues in the past , but got duped when I booked this Luftansa flight and found out after the fact that it was operated by United. Never again, again."

It seems to encourage a slouched position. maybe you have it that was to encourage people to upgrade their tickets. I hope that's not the case as that would be cruel."
Miinukset: "The temperature, it was cold and asked an agent to turn up the heat atleast and got ignored. The seats were extemely uncomfortable"

Miinukset: "I had trouble checking in online AND printing boarding pass at kiosk. Plane left 45 minutes late. Boarding was chaotic. Headphones did not work with entertainment system. Drink order was incorrect... I just had to pretend I was on crappy public transport for two hours for a one hour journey. I laughed out loud when they announced on flight that Air Canada was voted best North American airline. Riiiiight."

Miinukset: "I had booked my Air Canada trip and had a single stop-over while I switched to a different plane. Both of these planes were Air Canada. I Even though I made it through Customs in the shortest time possible, and back through security, I still managed to narrowly make my second flight. They were final-calling my name and actually taking off earlier than expected. Had I been 2 more minutes late, my flight would probably have taken off. I didn't check any bags either, so had I checked one, I don't think I would have made my second flight."

Miinukset: "They boarded us already a half hour late on our plane. Then after we were all boarded they decided to tell us that the pilots had not even landed from their previous flight yet. Once the pilots finally got on board the aircraft they still took another 40 minutes to do their routine checks. Almost two hours later we finally took off."
Miinukset: "Late leaving. Plane packed full. Cramped seating, overhead bins full. Carry on baggage seems unregulated. Air Canada does little to make flying pleasant. Cramped seating getting worse and worse. If you are tall, be prepared to suffer."
Miinukset: "I found the crew members more involved in there own personal conversations rather than the guests.... Trying to get there attention was virtually impossible...."

Plussat: "Staff was courteous and friendly. Check-in was quick and painless, despite the mobile boarding pass not working properly."
Miinukset: "Did not ear food or use the in-flight entertainment. Seats are TINY! As a person with very broad shoulders, I found myself literally wedged into a corner as to not bump the person next to me. These planes should not be 3 seater when they are designed for two."

Miinukset: "Air Canada Boarding agent was rude when I inquired about taking an earlier flight. Her reply was, "The boarding for this earlier flight has now closed- even if I were able to get you on, you would be paying a change fee". I'm tired of the attitude of many of the Air Canada boarding agents."

Miinukset: "Everything went wrong. The flight arrived 40 minutes late and I missed my connecting flight because they closed the gate before I could get there. As a result, when I asked both airlines involved (Brussels Air and Portugal Air (TAP) what to do, each airline blamed the other airline for the problem and each said it was my problem to fix. After speaking with ten people and begging them to make the problem right for a problem I did not create, they finally issued me a new ticket but I had to wait 24 hours for the new flight to leave. It was a total breakdown in communication and organization and customer support and problem resolution on the part of the airlines and the airport. I never want to fly these airlines again and never want to take a flight with connections."

Miinukset: "The entertainment screen was about 6 inches wide and there were only four movies to choose from (one that was older than the hills). The screen wasn't clear. Hard to believe that there was such poor technology for a flight from the U.S. to Europe. Also, there were no ports to charge phones or tablets which made it near impossible to watch entertainment on a phone or tablet due to low battery levels. The wi-fi was not strong. I typically like food on an airplane, but this food was not something to be enjoyed. I hope to not fly Brussels Airlines/United again. I'll stick with British Airways and American."

Plussat: "The crew was excellent. Flights were uneventful. Enjoyed the ability to watch a movie on the little TV that each seat had. Made the long flight feel much quicker."
Miinukset: "On my flight from Dulles to Brussels, the seat cushion was pretty much worn out. Felt like I was sitting on concrete. My butt was pretty sore after the flight. Flight back was totally fine. But it was a small inconvenience. Everything else was great."
Miinukset: "The overall organization was poor trying to make passengers off the plan to Kigali and boarding the Kigali passengers"

Miinukset: "My bag was lost. I was in Africa for 4 days before it finally came in. During the flight, there were several hours that we were never checked on or asked if we wanted something to drink."

Miinukset: "Awful boarding process, one person alone for all the passengers with another 3 around doing nothing, which caused the departure to take place more than an hour late"

Miinukset: "the airbus apparently has warm spots, and could not avoid being too warm for international flight. Once arrived in Malaga, Spain, no signs whatsoever telling me to go to different baggage belt to find my luggage."

Miinukset: "Travelling out to Budapest our flight was delayed about 40 minutes. We had a connection in Brussels and had to run from B terminal to A to reach on time. We reached the flight, however bags did not make the connection. We received bags next day at hotel. Travelling home, the flight was delayed 1h30m, the gates were shifted 3 times for departure, we had to sprint this time for conmection again B to A terminals. On the flight we were told Edinburgh connection would be rebooked so go to desk, however we made the flight just and so did the luggage, if we had waitied as told to rebook our luggage would have landed in Edinburgh with us stuck in Brussels. Won't be using again."

Miinukset: "not enough leg room. I had asked for seats with more leg room due to my medical condition and did not get any satisfaction"
Miinukset: "The seats were incredibly uncomfortable. The food wasn't great and even on a flight that was at 75% capacity they ran out of food options."
