  • Kiireisemmän reissaajan kannattaa valita paikallisbussin sijaan lentokenttäbussi, jonka linjat 98 ja 99 liikennöivät lentokentältä keskustaan. Linja 98 kulkee Promenade des Arts -kadulle. Linjan 99 päätepysäkki on puolestaan Gare de Nice-Ville -rautatieasema, ja se onkin hyvä kulkuväline niille, jotka jatkavat Nizzasta matkaa junalla muihin Ranskan kohteisiin. Lentokenttäbussi pysähtyy matkan varrella paikallisbussia harvemmin, joten se on perillä keskustassa noin puolessa tunnissa. Matkalipun hinta on noin 6 euroa. (Tiedot tarkistettu 20.6.2018.)
  • Nizzaan viikonloppulomalle suuntaavan kannattaa hankkia reissun ajaksi French Riviera Pass -turistikortti, jolla pääsee tutustumaan kaupungin nähtävyyksiin ja museoihin. Kortin voit ostaa heti lennon laskeuduttua Nizzan lentokentältä, sillä kortti on myynnissä terminaaleissa T1 ja T2. Miinukset: "We did not like anything about the trip to Houston from Istanbul. To sart with, we were told by Turkish Airline staff to go to the gate more than 1 hour EARLIER than the flight to Houston. Once we arrived at the gate, we were told "I cannot help you with anything about your flight. That is another department" and we to wait our turn and wait for someone to take us down the jetway. We waited for 75 minutes (1.25 hours) until after EVERY OTHER PASSENGER was on board. The flight attendant was unresponsive to us, talked down to my husband and me in a way that was insulting, rude, demeaning and very nasty. When another passenger complained that he did not get the seat that the attendant just changed for him, FOUR flight attendants helped him - one person got on the phone with someone (I don't know who), another went down to his seat to see where he was sitting. Yet another came and tried to explain why they couldn't help and finally a fourth tried to speak with another attendant on board. Whether or not his problem was solved, I don't know, but this was in the middle of our conversation (with only one attendant, I will add), and so his attention was taken away from us and put on him. Our seats were changed from seats closest to the bathroom to the middle of the plane. My husband cannot walk so 14 rows walking was not possible. I will say that finally, it took three volunteers who offered their seats to us to sit near the much needed bathroom. Regarding being seated near the bathrooms, when we asked for an aisle chair (that they told us they had on board) we were told to "stand there. we will get one in around 10 minutes). And, the wheelchair was sent all the way to the BAGGAGE CLAIM and NOT GATE CHECKED, when we arrived in Houston, we can clearly see the frame is bent, the wheels are out of alignment and the brake is also bent out of shape. The wheelchair is a custom made chair just for my husband. We will be sending Turkish Airlines the bill for a new chair if it cannot be repaired. I hope you can see to address these problems. I am not hopeful it is not normally like this for Jews who wear their head coverings. We would welcome a further conversation about our experience in hopes that others do not have the same one we did. Vivian and Henry Blum"

Miinukset: "No vents at seats on Airbus 300, AC was set at high temp so I was frequently way to warm to be comfortable. This is on both our main flight to Istanbul and our short transfer to Athens. Drink service did not start until 2 1/2 hours into flight. You get what you pay for I suppose. Still 10.5 on a hot plane!!! I usually need a jacket. Food was ...awful."

Plussat: "After we missed our connection flight because of a delay in Barcelona Turkish took care of everything until we were on the next flight home. It includes shutle to a different airport with an escort, dinner and tickets."
Miinukset: "there was a long delay and we missed our connection. The staff was very helpfull but everything happened so slowl. When we finally took off the food service was very slow and also the trash collection. The very tasty chocolate punding arrived as a guice"

Plussat: "The crew was friendly and helpful. They were in the cabin often offering complimentary food and beverages. The seats were spacious even for my husband who is 6'1". There were many complimentary viewing options on the television as well."

Plussat: "Slippers provided, many passengers used these (which is much preferable to feet out on the plane). Enternainment included a good number of recent releases, and food consistently exceeded expectations. Staff was pleasant and accommodating."

Seized all electronic equipment which I anticipated ahead of time and left my iPad home - but they took my camera - which is NOT on the list or a digital device. They had ONE person handling what had to be well over a thousand iPads and laptops. Flight left hours late. NO legroom, Food was horrible and inedible. The entertainment system draped out and locked up 4 hours into a ten hour flight. The WORST flight experience I have had in a very long tie and I have flown all over the world. Will NEVER fly Turkish Air again. STAY AWAY from this airline."

Plussat: "The flight was very pleasant. I was traveling wit my 2-year old and they brought him a little Batman vs Superman bag with an inflatable airplane, airplane binoculars, and slap on watch. They also brought him an activity book. I thought this was a lovely touch that helped keep my child entertained on our long flight. Adults also received a goody bag with grippy socks, slippers, eye mask, lip balm, toothbrush with toothpaste, and ear plugs. It was a pleasant surprise."
Miinukset: "Someone was escorted off our plane when our flight landed for unknown reasons. This was the day after the terrorist attacks in Belgium at the airport and metro, and the crew asked the person being escorted off the plane if he had taken all of his bags. If this person was a terrorist, do you really think he would just tell you if he left a bag of explosives on board?"

Plussat: "The service was outstanding, this is one of the best airlines I have ever flewn. Considering its elegancy and exquisite service. My twelve hours from Miami to Istanbul turned out to be less because of the amazing service I recieved. Very happy that this airline exist and cannot wait to go back and experience this great airline again."

Miinukset: "My trip originated at Ivato airport in Antananarivo, where even with only one checked bag weighing 12 kg, and the proper carry on, I was harassed for bribes. An hour after clearing security, I was called down to the baggage area, where after emptying my 12 kg bag, "national police" lost my transit tag for final destination in US. Turkish Air employees made the extra effort to print out a new one, but I was asked for "gifts" or "rhum" by 3 different Ivato police, baggage boys, etc."

Plussat: "I am 6’3”. But I am also cheap. So I like being able to fit in an economy seat with more room than other airlines. Believe me, an inch or two makes all the difference."

Miinukset: "I hated that the plane did not wait for me as I have been on plenty of airlines that have waited 5-10 mins to allow for these sort of things to be rectified. thankfully, Lufthansa and United booked me on a plane that left 5 hours later. they even bought me a 10 euro lunch. :), a pass to the , Luftanhsa lounge would have also been a good showing. I asked about this , but was gently denied. the help desk was gracious, which I appreciated. I had an entire row to myself on the United flight to DC, which softened the blow as well but the flight to Munich from IAD was great (2-28-18)"

Miinukset: "Plane delayed. Then when on board, pilot apologized due to the very warm cabin as "the auxilariary power unit isn't working." Then long delay because the baggage ground crew messed up and again according to the pilot "we apologize for the ground crew's failure to do their job properly and some baggage wasn't loaded properly." Once we landed we had like 20 minutes to go through security AGAIN and nearly missed the final flight to our Seattle destination. No mention of local time upon landing, no one at gate to direct lots of people rushing for connections."

Plussat: "Service is good, you actually get food and drinks, thanks for that."
Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Plussat: "The cameras on the outside of the plan are fantastic!"

Miinukset: "Crew members were awful and rude and unhelpful. I landed in Munich and had to run to my next flight and when I asked a Lufthansa staff for help in making my connecting flight he turned to me and said "I don't care-this isn't my problem" upon finally making it for last boarding call to my next flight the staff were rude and unhelpful-I was so stressed I literally had a stomachache and felt completely unwelcome."

Plussat: "There was plenty of room (even in economy), good food, and a friendly staff. I enjoyed having my own TV screen where I could watch movies and listen to music. I've traveled to Europe several times and Lufthansa is the best airline!"

Miinukset: "I did not go because i canceled my flight and am still waiting for my refund since 23 May. I will probably never use Kayak again. Not happy... far from satisfied. ~AC"

Plussat: "Flight attendants were always there when you needed them and were super nice. The plane was very clean and orderly and the crew just made it a really great flight."

Miinukset: "Would have been nice to have an entertainment option, but I had a book, so the 2.5 hrs went fast enough."

Miinukset: "It was a really rainy day and we all had to get on shuttles to get to our plane. Once we reached the plane, the crew should have facilitated an orderly boarding through both doors rather than one. This was also a pretty empty flight and other passengers were utilizing their assigned seat as well as a whole other row and calling it theirs just because they set something on one seat. It didn't seem right that some of us had to stay in our little crowded area while others used up 4 seats and I don't mean for laying down."

Plussat: "Efficiency...I sat three rows behind the crying babies...but with ear phones...had a pleasant flight"
Miinukset: "Once again - the connecting flights through Frankfurt are difficult because of the size of the airport and the location of the gates. Make certain there is enough time between flights to get to new gate. Use extra time to purchase some of the excellent food items"

Miinukset: "The seat pitch is inhumane. I could barely fit into the seat without hitting my knees on the seat in front. And that was before the person ahead of me reclined. It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."

Miinukset: "The flight attendant who said she'd get back to me when I had a question about connecting flights. Not only did she not get back to me, but with annoyance asked me hadn't I heard the captain's message on the loudspeaker. The captain had said to ask a flight attendant for further info, which is what I was trying to do."

Crew extremely helpful and polite, always followed up to any requests. Instead of barking at us like United or American crew, they went out of their way to help my daughter get a makeshift icepack for some very painful bumps she got during our vacation. Crew also kept the bathrooms clean from time to time, which was a welcome relief for such a long flight. Desk staff/service desk also was helpful in directing us during the 5 hr layover to things at the airport itself that we could do. They also helped reprint the boarding pass and write down the baggage tags when security made me lose those by separating my wallet and boarding passes into mutliple bins."
Miinukset: "Phone service. When I tried to book my seats and meals, the lady kept getting things wrong, and ended up not getting me the seats I had specifically ended up asking for. So, when I arrived at the airport and printed my boarding cards, those were seats I did NOT want and all the service desks insisted that's what I asked for. No low carb meal option was surprising. Meal service sometimes felt like too close to each other else too far apart from snacks - didn't feel like we had enough time to digest and get some sleep, while at other times we were seeking out snacks.Overall good quality of food however."

I will try never to fly Austrian Airlines again. Absolutely unacceptable behavior toward families, mothers with children, senior citizens. I can almost see the smirks and annoyed and superior attitude of staff at the boarding gate when they had to deal with more passengers asking why boarding hasn't started half an hour ago when we were announced it would. No answers, just show me the passport and boarding pass, ok, please go back, we'll let you know, then ignore questions."

I suppose those are cheaper, but I would think both Austrian and Lufthansa (they seemed to be using almost identical entertainment systems with almost identical offerings) would benefit from limiting their movie options much more towards movies with, say, above a 70% Rotten Tomatoes rating or above average box office sales. Even if they had fewer films, say 40 instead of 56, the ones they have would be more popular."

Worst is the lack of communication during the 45 minute wait, for which I have little understanding seeing many older people clearly suffering."

This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

They also offered us only a piece of bread with ham and cheese and a coffee for the next 12 hours until the new flight left. Not a pleasant experience."

I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."
