Excellent staff , helpfully agents...crew is efficient and food is good and plentiful servings , decent coach leg room. 777 remains 3-3-3 which is nice ....just entertainment choices are limited and not very interesting with limited movie or music choices
When the flight arrived with a delay at HND, international transit pass angered were allowed to off board. We were nearly late for the domestic transient though… then when we off board, we were advised that we won’t be able to transit on time but we were not offered a hotel but hotel search help. Not a joke regardless the reason. 2,800$ ticket but hotel of 80$ can’t be paid by the airlines? It’s the government policy staffs told us kidding! I won’t fly with Japan airlines from now on although my wife is a Japanese. Cheap flag carrier of Japan. Shame on them.
The JAL staff were all great at SFO and Haneda. I highly recommend JAL. I know I will be looking out for future flights with JAL. The food was very good as well as the snacks they prepared. Entertainment ok, the movie selection was ok. If JAL could add usbc charging that would be great. Also Bluetooth connectivity to the entertainment system would awesome. The headset connectivity was not great. High pitched noise came out if the headset. I did have trouble contacting JAL support while in Japan. I needed information about Covid testing for my return to the US. Basically no one picked up the phone. I ended up paying a lot of money for Covid testing when I could have paid less if I could have confirmed some information over the phone. Hopefully the US stops requiring Covid testing for entering the US or cheaper options become available. $160 x 4 was no fun!!
Options for food. There were no vegetarian options.

Miinukset: "Boarding was awful. The staff definitely need better training at adapting with the Covid 19 situation. Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore."
Plussat: "Was able to get home toward Los Angeles with delays and change in plane so did not get proper seating as reserved."
Miinukset: "The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

Miinukset: "At check-in counter in MNL, the JAL agent mistakenly told me that I don't need to claim my bag and re-check at DFW before heading to final destination MEM. Food wasn't as good as previous JAL flights earlier this year and last year. That said, it's still better than other airlines."

Plussat: "Our flight was delayed due to lightning strike on arriving flight, we were transferred to non stop EVA Airline so we can get home and not need a connecting flight in Japan. JAL did all these arrangements without us requesting it. They also were very polite and got our luggage in time to be on the flight with us. JAL is truly a top airline in the world."

Plussat: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Miinukset: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."

Plussat: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Miinukset: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."

Totally different experience from American carriers like United who treat you like cattle. I hope I can fly with JAL again soon. They are incredible. I was super satisfied."

Plussat: "My flight is at 9:50 am but I arrived around 5:30 am , as expected the line was already long and one of the crew told us the front desk will not open until 6:30. My husband reserved my ticket going back to US. I was assigned to seat on an exit, but when I went to the gate , one of a female employee keeps telling me if I'm aware I'll be seating on an exit and I said yes , I look for a vacant seat so I can relax while waiting, she went back again and asked me if the front desk desk gave me any paper about the task I have to do when seating on an exit. I read it and understand . She came back again for the third time and borrow my boarding pass and check something and asked me if I want to transfer to another seat, and I said no. I don't know what she wants me to do , but I'm so irritated because she keeps asking me the same question over and over again."

The issue was the poor support, I mean is ok I know I didn't make it, but I don't want to hwar what I already know, tell me what can be done... waited 7 hours for someone available... the phone at the counter is useless"

Plussat: "The large windows on the 787 are really a big plus for someone like me who likes to look out the window. To have the added ability to dim the window progressively is just too cool. Even if the sun is bright, you can still look out and enjoy the view. I love this feature of the 787 and am always a little disappointed when I'm back in any other aircraft."

When the turbulence died down, the flight attendants did not bother to complete the food service for snacks or drinks ordered. I had to get up and ask twice. They were not present much at all in BUSINESS CLASS. So that's why I rated the experience as poor. The international food choices are poor. They do not taste good. I think I have to stop flying ANA. The seats are horrible. Just plain uncomfortable, they have made the seats small and if we recline, the person in the back complains.
No wheel chair assistance was provided though we requested it throughout the journey. First leg Delayed by an hour.
I liked the food and services
My check in baggage got misplaced with other baggage. I have been helped by fellow passenger and fellow indigo member to get back my luggage.
Qatar airways Customer service was terrible especially in Baghdad office! They were very unprofessional, helpless and very rude!

Miinukset: "-my seat did not recline, which I understand that I was close to the emergency exit but the person in front of me could still put their seat back way farther than they should be able to and I was unable to do simple things like put my glass of water on my tray -I had a vegetarian meal which was literally just rice and ground up brown mush-I have no idea what that much was -I asked twice for new headphones because my was broken but they forgot -When the flight attendant was coming around with water and she looked me to see if I wanted any and I said yes, she just skipped over me. I didn't pay a few hundred dollars extra for this."
Plussat: "Doha airport is easy to move through; They put me in an exit row behind a bulkhead has plenty of legroom."
Miinukset: "Reading light wasn't aimed properly, and there was nowhere to put anything because of it being an exit row behind a bulkhead. That meant, that I had to hold anything I wanted during take-off, and landing, and the entertainment system had to be stowed during those times as well, so I couldn't even listen to music as the only controls were the touchscreen."
Plussat: "The flight was not full so there was room to stretch. And the crew was more friendly because they were not overwelmed."

Miinukset: "6 hour delay with no explanation. No apology. Stuck in transit with nothing to do. Not impressed at all. Boarding also delayed. Food on this flight was very poor."

Miinukset: "The screen of my seat and my mom ( sitting next to me) and the lady near the window stopped working after launching and we had to stair in the dark for eleven hours the flight attendant tried but couldn't fix it. The seat itself was broken and I had to put the bottom Cushing back every time I stand up.the cue to the rest room ( one off them has a broken lock so you can't lock it ) was very long and I had to wait for 25 minutes tell I got in ( the first time I waited too long standing in an air plane )"

Miinukset: "Check in staff and customer service reps were unprofessional and unhelpful. We had an 8 hour layover on both legs, no access to the lounge or a hotel was provided. I explained we were on our way to our wedding and it would be nice to have some rest. They were rude with the way they told us no, they even suggested we sleep on the floor of the airport. We ended up paying for the lounge, but then so did about 1000 other people, there was no room for us to sit together. My wife's allergy free meal wasn't provided on the first flight. We had to speak to about 5 people to get a meal ticket at the airport and they were very reluctant to give us one. I told them she was hungry and needed to eat. They told us we could take the meal we got with the ticket on board, when we went to use the ticket we had no choice in meal, were given a coke at 6am and weren't allowed to heat up our meal or take it on board. In summary, all the cabin crew on all 4 flights were excellent. Staff at Doha airport were incredibly poor."

Plussat: "The crew is not so amazing and the food is not so good.They only serve pork and sea food..i don't eat those food for my religion and i asked for another food anything as long as i had something for im starving, for they never had another food to give? You mean i cannot have food while boarding the plane? Im starving and they don't gibe us any food to eat even if i asked them if theres anything . And that is a total not agreeable we are 3 people riding the plane myself and my kids and we did not have anything to eat. The crew is rude when I asked something instead of looking for another food is theres any. I paid for my flight including the food and i was not able to eat."
Miinukset: "Crew serving food should be nice and make sure that all passengers have food to eat especially if one, two or three or more doesn't eat pork and shrimp..if only i could i could transfer plane at that moment i will do it. Hope they will not feel the way i feel i was starving the whole flight.."

Plussat: "Well fed and provided beverages on trip. Food not gourmet----but what do you expect? Crew was pleasant and helpful."

I am 6'2"--so know I am taller than the average bear, but I think even a 5"8" man or woman finds the legroom a little tight---especially on a 15hr flight. On a 3 to 5 hour flight--OK. The legroom was durable--but you asked waht could be better and that point sticks out in my mind."
Miinukset: "There is only a food box which contains a small sandwich, a small cake and a small cup of fruit pieces with a drink of 250ml ice tea for this three hour flight. I would think this kind of catering is not good enough."

Plussat: "CX still has good offerings on flights from their home in Hong Kong to other destinations."
Miinukset: "However, CX for International Regional is, in no way, comparable to their better long-haul routes. That being said, the entire airline has lost its luster like their home country is losing their value with prices going up and value for-the-dollar going down."

Plussat: "I guess I can't expect much from what seems to be a low budget airline. The food was OK and the movie selection was excellent. I didn't have any issues with boarding or baggage check in. There was a mix of good and bad flight staff. Sadly, the staff in bad moods were servicing me."
Miinukset: "PThe bad mood in-flight staff and the uncomfortable seats. During boarding, I asked one of the staff if I can have a window seat because I have motion sickness and aisle seats make me feel ill. She looked at me flustered and said all seats are booked and that I'll be Ok with the aisle seat. On a different CP flight, a different staff was helping a couple switch with other passengers so they can sit next to each other. That would have been nice if they did that for me when I asked for a window seat."
Plussat: "I did get an upgrade and saw a pleasant movie"
Miinukset: "There were no immigration forms on board. When I asked for one, the hostess said there had been an announcent Mayybe there was one in mandarin but certainly not in english. A senior hostess cam later to apologize zaying the reason was that there were new forns since 1 Dec when leaving the plane, everyone was given old forms! All very unptofessional..."

Plussat: "Despite no preferred aisle seat and a last minute seat swap, the flight was comfortable enough to get some sleep. Enough space and a good temperature."
Miinukset: "An eye mask would help block the constantly flashing screens of the surrounding seats. Staff almost made an effort to meet a couple of simple requests but were obviously busy with other priorities. Food wasn't bad."
Plussat: "The friendliness of the crew, noticed I woke up and served me breakfast with only 45 mins till landing.. The flight was delayed and the airline had arranged for an escort to quickly get me to my next flight without even asking"
Miinukset: "The lack of content on the entertainment system, quickly ran out of movies to watch"
Miinukset: "Upon arrival in Hong Kong, Cathay representatives automatically re-booked my connecting flight to Taipei assuming I would miss the connection. This was not the case. I was able to get to the connecting gate on time. Cathay representatives in Hong Kong were rude and unhelpful in re-issuing my boarding pass for my originally scheduled flight to Taipei."

Plussat: "Jenny (flight attendant in my section) was great. She was constantly smiling and was always positive. Her attitude made the flight more enjoyable."

Miinukset: "I booked my reservation with kayak and pick out choice seats , when I check in was told by Cathay that they do not honor seat reservation from a 3rd party. I also paid for the exit seats so We have open space.. Very disappointed."

Miinukset: "Boarding is messy. Just one very long queue for everyone in economy. No method for organizing by groups. So if you are unlucky, you might end up with no luggage space in the overhead bins that are supposed to be for passengers at that point. Food was a measly 'roll' with generic water diluted juice."

Plussat: "We travel quite a bit and use different airlines. Actually we had never heard of Cathay Pacific but loved the whole experience. The aircraft was CLEAN, the people were so friendly and helpful. The seats were comfortable and the food was quite tasty. All in all we were very pleased-also it was price friendly."
Miinukset: "The seatbelt buckle is at a weird angle so ones arm is on it."
Delays Needed to board a buss to get to our airplane.
Charges for simple things like blankets and headphones, Wi-Fi was double other flights, crew was passive aggressive, only served one meal on 11 hour flight, very bad quality meal and very small. Will not be flying with again.
Love Lufthansa… very fair with staff and passengers 💝
Check in agent in Budapest was terribly rude and sent us off to the side to "go call united" because "there was something wrong with our ticket." He wouldn't explain what was wrong so we didn't know what to tell United. After standing in a corner for more than 30 mins, another agent offered to help us. It turns out the only problem was that we hadn't completed our check in online, (which we couldn't because the app would not let us input the correct expiration date for our passports) ...and he just didn't want to have to put our information in himself. We could have missed our flight because of his laziness!!! He was also the only person in the whole airport NOT wearing a mask.
The flight was ok the food was not edible!!!
No screen map on in front of you to track the flight like Turkish air! No food or coffee for 2h30 just a small plain water and a very small piece of chocolate🤔

Plussat: "Terrible flight. Super tight seats. Major airport delay to take off and land. Overall not a good experience."
Miinukset: "On the way out Lufthansa charged us a total of £129 to take our bags with us (all under 23KG). On the way back with the same 3 identical bags Lufthansa charged us $399.47 (£306.92), again all under 23KG. How can it be fair to charge passengers 2.4 times more to return home with their bags?"

Miinukset: "These scheduled flights on Jan 1, 2019 were cancelled by Lufthansa and we were not informed of these scheduled cancellations either by email or SMS. We waited for several hours at the airport before being informed by an airport staff. We missed one day of work and lot of inconvenience with transportation and accommodation in Bengaluru."

Miinukset: "arriving in toronto , arrival gate at pearson was blocked by another plane ...so despite being a few minutes early , arrival at the terminal was finally 20min later than scheduled"

Plussat: "There was no communication between aircrew and gate for transfers. There is a new additional check between gates and no passenger was informed. This security check was over an hour long. The flight was not held for me and other passengers and when we arrived at the gate they were oblivious of the fact that we had been held up in what seemed to be a Km long security line."
Miinukset: "Due to the reason that the flight was overbookef LH asked us to drop off our hand luggages as well in MXP, however both were approved for the cabine. Due to the late departure our luggages missed the connection so they left our luggage behind in MUC"

Miinukset: "At Frankfurt ground staff did not offer elevator down ti board plane to Boston even though I had wheel chair. Going down on escalator was difficult for me."
Miinukset: "We landed an hour later than planned with no warning, I missed my connecting flight."
Plussat: "Schedule was followed."
Miinukset: "At Budapest Airport only one check-in desk, #1 was shown on the big board for this flight and the airline Lufthansa was only shown above the check-in desk #1, which was dedicated for First/Business and M&M Gold status travellers only. Many economy class passengers queued there and at the end they were all redirected to check-in desk #3, as that was designated for Economy class passengers (however not any Lufthansa sign was shown above. When I mentioned to the ground crew (Celebi) that they should improve signs and not mishandle travellers, the person in charge (Nikolett Magyar) said to me arrogantly that they are right, and nothing they would do to improve the signs and passengers' information. This is far what I expect from LH representative, even if subcontracted and not an employee. That behaviour made my journey sour as travelling - especially with not a budget airline - is not just getting from A to B, but an experience which is worth to remember for good reasons, but not certainly for bad ones."

Miinukset: "We left late due to weather — which is okay— but pilot didn’t catch up in the air. Also, the connection was tight partly because the Prague flight parked at the far end of the field and the bus ride took forever. Then we had so far to walk to get to the departure gate."
Miinukset: "Three pieces of luggage two got to my destination two and a half days which means I had to purchase cloths to wear and personal items. The third piece of luggage was three and a half days late. Which is was are Christmas presents were delivered late afternoon. There wasn’t any compensation for the inconvenience of having to change of plans of staying around the house waiting for luggage when we paid for hotel rooms and we didn’t get a refund on our trip we couldn’t take. When we knew flights from Frankfurt to München ran daily. Very disappointed. Byron becker we flew from Florida Orlando fo Munich Germany and paid a high price for traveling. Also we were bumped three times fro, Frankfurt to. Much each time on standby. Very disappointed. Sorry but this is the truth."

Miinukset: "My granddaughter of 3 years had painful ear block and the crew was so unfriendly about it unlike other airlines that try to offer remedies."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Plussat: "Great service everyone was very accommodation. Enjoy the flight and the met some very interesting people. Althoght my flight to Kiev fro Frankfurt was delayed 20 minutes, and to take a bus to another plane, it wasn't that long of a wait."

Miinukset: "The seat pitch is inhumane. I could barely fit into the seat without hitting my knees on the seat in front. And that was before the person ahead of me reclined. It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."
Miinukset: "It took over three hours for them to unload our baggage. Completely unacceptable. Terrible coordination and planning with the Dulles baggage handlers."
