Excellent staff , helpfully agents...crew is efficient and food is good and plentiful servings , decent coach leg room. 777 remains 3-3-3 which is nice ....just entertainment choices are limited and not very interesting with limited movie or music choices
When the flight arrived with a delay at HND, international transit pass angered were allowed to off board. We were nearly late for the domestic transient though… then when we off board, we were advised that we won’t be able to transit on time but we were not offered a hotel but hotel search help. Not a joke regardless the reason. 2,800$ ticket but hotel of 80$ can’t be paid by the airlines? It’s the government policy staffs told us kidding! I won’t fly with Japan airlines from now on although my wife is a Japanese. Cheap flag carrier of Japan. Shame on them.
Options for food. There were no vegetarian options.

Miinukset: "Boarding was awful. The staff definitely need better training at adapting with the Covid 19 situation. Especially, when it comes to unexpected occurrences regarding test certificates and sudden new regulations. Not everything is always black and white and not everyone has the same capacity to afford rebooking flights or re-testing. Treatment of foreigners in general at the LAX airport, on my flight at least, were unprofessional and inconsiderate. I generally like flying with Japan Airlines but after what I have seen and experienced personally I’m not so sure it is still one of my number one airlines to fly with anymore."
Plussat: "Was able to get home toward Los Angeles with delays and change in plane so did not get proper seating as reserved."
Miinukset: "The plane was delayed from Tokyo to Los Angeles due to a pilot staffing issue. The plane stopped in Honolulu at 6:00AM in the morning and no staff was able to assist so they made everyone go through the run-around to have the luggage scanned for agriculture. Then they stated that even though we had pre-check, we did not qualify and the boarding pass was not issued with Honolulu to LAX. Over 5 hours delay and did not know that we could have stayed in Hawaii free room and meals. Terrible and one of the worst vacations ever for returning to the US. The food was not great."

Plussat: "Our flight was delayed due to lightning strike on arriving flight, we were transferred to non stop EVA Airline so we can get home and not need a connecting flight in Japan. JAL did all these arrangements without us requesting it. They also were very polite and got our luggage in time to be on the flight with us. JAL is truly a top airline in the world."

Plussat: "Let's face it - flying b-class is pretty awesome, so for $3300, it was really great. Loved the food selections, though I did feel the food was a little on the heavy side. I had the Japanese fare, which was lighter, but a little more salted than what I prefer - but over all very good. Service was amazing - the crew is super-nice. The plane, a massive 787 jet, absorbed the turbulence like it was nothing. It was like riding in one of those Cadillacs from the 1970's. The lavatories were big enough that I could actually stand up straight (and I'm 6'0"). The seats were pretty good as well - they had a feature for extension of the seating surface to allow for more thigh support (which I love) as well as great lumbar support. the movie selection was OK - neither great nor bad, and I ended up watching 4 movies during the flight anyway. ;)"
Miinukset: "I preface this section by saying that I'm being very nit-picky here - there's not much I can really say, except that the seats, while they will recline to a flat surface, which is great for dozing off, they are angled about 15 degrees so you're constantly sliding down them in that position. Also, there could be more support for your head in the reclined position - I had to futz with pillows and a blanket to get that comfortable. However, the reclined position was the most comfortable, and I could get it so that I was sufficiently reclined with my legs extended and horizontal, while laying back without sliding down. This was sufficient for resting. I'm only mentioning this because I flew a business class flight on Delta in 2015 which had ridiculously amazing seats that reclined all the way flat and horizontal. On the 9-11 hour flight from Tokyo back to San Diego, which will take place mainly at night, this would be a very useful feature."

Plussat: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."

Only people at the front of the queue can see the correct places to stand, so many people were trying to push in the front of the queue because the signs weren't visible from some angles or from far away. Basically couldn't see the inflight safety videos from my seat (17K) because of the curvature of the overhead bins and positions of the few screens (no seat-back monitors)."

We took off late (which, personally, at this point, I had just been on a 14 hour flight plus the 2 hours layover) - a delay just added to the exhaustion. Also, the plane was very old and very hot...even though it was only a one hour flight, it was very uncomfortable and outdated."

Delays Needed to board a buss to get to our airplane.
Charges for simple things like blankets and headphones, Wi-Fi was double other flights, crew was passive aggressive, only served one meal on 11 hour flight, very bad quality meal and very small. Will not be flying with again.

Check in agent in Budapest was terribly rude and sent us off to the side to "go call united" because "there was something wrong with our ticket." He wouldn't explain what was wrong so we didn't know what to tell United. After standing in a corner for more than 30 mins, another agent offered to help us. It turns out the only problem was that we hadn't completed our check in online, (which we couldn't because the app would not let us input the correct expiration date for our passports) ...and he just didn't want to have to put our information in himself. We could have missed our flight because of his laziness!!! He was also the only person in the whole airport NOT wearing a mask.
The flight was ok the food was not edible!!!
No screen map on in front of you to track the flight like Turkish air! No food or coffee for 2h30 just a small plain water and a very small piece of chocolate🤔

Miinukset: "On the way out Lufthansa charged us a total of £129 to take our bags with us (all under 23KG). On the way back with the same 3 identical bags Lufthansa charged us $399.47 (£306.92), again all under 23KG. How can it be fair to charge passengers 2.4 times more to return home with their bags?"

Miinukset: "These scheduled flights on Jan 1, 2019 were cancelled by Lufthansa and we were not informed of these scheduled cancellations either by email or SMS. We waited for several hours at the airport before being informed by an airport staff. We missed one day of work and lot of inconvenience with transportation and accommodation in Bengaluru."

Plussat: "There was no communication between aircrew and gate for transfers. There is a new additional check between gates and no passenger was informed. This security check was over an hour long. The flight was not held for me and other passengers and when we arrived at the gate they were oblivious of the fact that we had been held up in what seemed to be a Km long security line."
Miinukset: "Due to the reason that the flight was overbookef LH asked us to drop off our hand luggages as well in MXP, however both were approved for the cabine. Due to the late departure our luggages missed the connection so they left our luggage behind in MUC"

Miinukset: "At Frankfurt ground staff did not offer elevator down ti board plane to Boston even though I had wheel chair. Going down on escalator was difficult for me."
Miinukset: "We landed an hour later than planned with no warning, I missed my connecting flight."

Miinukset: "At Budapest Airport only one check-in desk, #1 was shown on the big board for this flight and the airline Lufthansa was only shown above the check-in desk #1, which was dedicated for First/Business and M&M Gold status travellers only. Many economy class passengers queued there and at the end they were all redirected to check-in desk #3, as that was designated for Economy class passengers (however not any Lufthansa sign was shown above. When I mentioned to the ground crew (Celebi) that they should improve signs and not mishandle travellers, the person in charge (Nikolett Magyar) said to me arrogantly that they are right, and nothing they would do to improve the signs and passengers' information. This is far what I expect from LH representative, even if subcontracted and not an employee. That behaviour made my journey sour as travelling - especially with not a budget airline - is not just getting from A to B, but an experience which is worth to remember for good reasons, but not certainly for bad ones."

Miinukset: "We left late due to weather — which is okay— but pilot didn’t catch up in the air. Also, the connection was tight partly because the Prague flight parked at the far end of the field and the bus ride took forever. Then we had so far to walk to get to the departure gate."
Miinukset: "Three pieces of luggage two got to my destination two and a half days which means I had to purchase cloths to wear and personal items. The third piece of luggage was three and a half days late. Which is was are Christmas presents were delivered late afternoon. There wasn’t any compensation for the inconvenience of having to change of plans of staying around the house waiting for luggage when we paid for hotel rooms and we didn’t get a refund on our trip we couldn’t take. When we knew flights from Frankfurt to München ran daily. Very disappointed. Byron becker we flew from Florida Orlando fo Munich Germany and paid a high price for traveling. Also we were bumped three times fro, Frankfurt to. Much each time on standby. Very disappointed. Sorry but this is the truth."

Miinukset: "The seats in the economy class are too small. Not once did I have someone sitting next to me who could actually fit in his seat. They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

It's not like Lufthansa is a budget airline. It's a full-fledged major carrier charging full-fledged prices. Seriously, I was expecting more."

Miinukset: "Our flight from Denver to London was canceled at the last minute last night. The information from your email and the number given from you notifying me of the cancellation only gave British Airway to contact for redress. It took over an hour on the phone to get another flight which was 2 days later with now 2 days less of our vacation. Not to mention the loss of 2 hotel room payments. Kayak was of no help in this matter. Plus our flight reservation prohibited us from getting our flight on another flight the next day. If I had known that I never would have used Kayak. I am extremely unhappy with how this was handled. I expect to be reimbursed for our lost Hotel room costs and the costs associated with lost tours from you. Miinukset: "Plane was older and in poor repair. Our air vents and over head lights had been completely removed for our row - so we could not read or knit as others could. Seats are far to small and close together to allow for any real rest or sleep."
Plussat: "Much quieter than Heathrow so a more relaxed environment to travel. Flight left slightly late but made up time and landed ahead of schedule."
Miinukset: "Having to pay for a cup of tea. No issue with BA charging for alcolhol in a 1 hour flight but still think drinks like tea/coffee should be provided free."
Plussat: "Crew and airport personnel friendly and efficient. 747 economy seats very comfortable. Entertainment system is great."

Miinukset: "The biz class seats on BA are just horrible. The biz class service - BA aren’t even trying to match other airlines. A stingy snenities kit and a blanket doesn’t come close to qantas or emerites. The food is an embarrassment - microwave dinners over heated is a a generous description. Crew do as little as possible (they don’t want to be they’ve either)"

Plussat: "When I asked for a gin and tonic during the only drinks service in "business class" they at least gave me two miniatures of gin and two cans of tonic."
Miinukset: "we sat on the tarmac for over an hour before taking over. there was no offer of any drinks for this entire time. the "business class" seats were the same as economy, just with the middle seat blocked. the meal was closer in quality to bad meals i've had in economy class than anything i've ever had in business class."
Miinukset: "Terrible catering Seat comfort horrible worse than low cost Lounge overcrowded with no seat and no food left"
Miinukset: "The woman who worked the British Airways desk in Helsinki and checked our bags is not suited for a customer service position. The screens on the British Airways long haul planes are tiny and difficult to operate. A 2,5 h flight where you can't even get water complimentary is appalling. Honestly all of your competitors offer a snack and beverages complimentary even if the flight is only 45 min. The boarding for London to Dallas flight was very confusing and could have been made easier with grouping the boarding instead of tons of people piling up to rush in at once."

Plussat: "I thouht that the seats were comfortable. When we boarded the Madrid to London flight, we were surprised to find that the aisle seats that we had paid extra to book had been changed, and although my husband had an aisle seat, I did not. On the longer flight from London to Seattle , we did both have aisle seats, which was important to both of us. We get up more frequently than many people to use the bathroom."
Miinukset: "There were a couple of women who were very cold, and there were no crew members in economy class who could speak Spanish who could respond to them appropriately to them. The attendants just kept saying, sorry, I don't speak Spanish. This seemed very surprising to me, as the flight connected a Spanish- speaking country to London!"
Plussat: "The crew was outstanding and really tried to make the fight bearsble"

Plussat: "Arrived at gate for general boarding and was in my seat in 5 minutes. Crew was friendly. Announcements are not annoyingly loud, so as to startle me - or other passengers. Crisps and a G&T were fine for a 1.25 hour flight. The coat hooks on the side of each headrest is convenient (wish they would be used more...see cons)"
Miinukset: "luggage overhead stuffed with jackets and small shopping bags. I travel with a slightly larger than average daypack. I tried to rearrange bags and coats quickly in the overhead to fit my pack but with people waiting behind me to get to their seats, I just decided to stuff my pack under the seat. It was sticking out a bit but the FAs didn't notice (or ignored it). I've heard recently on some flights that the FAs ask passengers to hold onto their coats until boarding is complete. Afterwards the FAs took about 90 seconds to walk the aisle and place coats in the overhead by passenger request in front of the luggage. I find this an efficient way for boarding to move a little quicker and get more luggage (and probably the same number of coats) in the overhead."
Plussat: "Not a lot"
Miinukset: "Crew is lazy and rude. I had paid for extra legroom seats and it was not honored. Dreadful!"
Plussat: "The crew was very friendly and the overall experience was pleasant!"
