Seats are unexpectedly big and very comfortable together with functional well designed pockets beside the screen, where I could put my personal items. New and clean cabin."

Those website are very practical to look for flights but unless they give you the company direct you are better off switching to company site and book it there. Broker not equipped to be of any help."

Airlines lost all my bags and is not being helpful at all in tracing them. Value of baggage is over $25,000. I expect a full refund and expect to be compensated for the loss.

The crew, while very sweet, seemed inexperienced and green to me..but they were lovely and that's all that ultimately matters."
Plussat: "Philadelphia-Doha was excellent and noticeably better than Doha-Bangkok. ood, service, condition of aircraft were all better in the PHL-Doha leg. I have done the trip a few times now so it is not a fluke. Odd that the Doha food (and I usually get the local dishes) is very so-so. I usually only take a bite or two. Not appetizing. The Doha-BKK staff was less professional as well. The trays of the main meal were left with the passengers so long, we passengers started to bring our own trays to the galley. The plane out of Doha was very tight so passengers in economy have that sardine experience. The cup holders did not work although they would have been useful."

So I had to use audio from neighboring (empty) seat and sync it with video from screen for my seat. What a pain!"

I didn't pay a few hundred dollars extra for this."

That meant, that I had to hold anything I wanted during take-off, and landing, and the entertainment system had to be stowed during those times as well, so I couldn't even listen to music as the only controls were the touchscreen."

They refused to accommodate me for a 19 hour layover with a complimentary airport hotel stay, claiming there was an earlier flight--that was still 12 hours away, that I would have to pay to book anyway. Pure scam to get you to pay to upgrade your flight, pay for hotel or be condemned to stay in there airport for a whole day. Never ever again! Don't fly them!"

Plussat: "Good sleep is most important & emirates is very good in this regard. Food is only fair especially the hot food served at dinner. Wines served are generally of a good to a high standard. Some crew members are better than others. Some are really excellent including any of the Irish members of the team - they always standout with their warmth, friendship & ability to read people & situations."
Plussat: "The comfortable seats, the entertainment system, the food, the attention given by the flight attendants. A great airline!"

Miinukset: "Cleaniness was really bad. There was a puddle of water in the washroom and even after informing the crew twice noone cleaned it."
Plussat: "Wow totally worth it. I'm now spoiled by how fantastic this airline is. Entertainment, service, food, and comfort. If emirates is flying to my destination I will for sure use them."

Miinukset: "On the outbound flight, the seat bottom was very hard as if the cushion had deteriorated. My behind was killing me very shortly into the 7+ hour flight and I sat on my neck pillow, which wasn't ideal but helped a little. The seat on the return flight was more comfortable."
Miinukset: "The complimentary food coupons don't clearly mention what is covered and not and it is a hassle to figure out with airport vendors on what the meal means when there are a lot of options. If the voucher also has a dollar value it will make it easier to know. The Indian restaurants at Gates C should be taken off this list. They were rude and generally left a bad taste in the mouth."
Miinukset: "It took 90 minutes in the line to check our luggage despite checking in on line. There were lots of Emirates personnel but only few at the counters, others were mingling among the passengers and being useful."
Plussat: "The flight itself was fantastic. Perfection as usual. Emirates is surely neck to neck with Singapore Airlines for the number one spot of the best airline in the world."
Miinukset: "1. I joined at Bangalore. The staff worked strictly according to the rules. While this is good it lends itself to passenger discomfort at times. Example: I had only 1 suitcase of 45 pounds, and I had a hand baggage of 13.7 kgs, because I was carrying all my precious crystalware back to Houston. The attendant kept insisting I lighten the hand baggage to les than 7 kgs. Finally he even suggested I send the hand baggage as checked luggage. He must be insane! I had a few thousand dollars worth of crystal in that hand bag and there was no way I'd send as checked luggage. Finally, I lightened the load to 10 kgs and called his manager and I was allowed to carry the hand luggage. 2. On landing at Dubai, everything unraveled. The airport was full of thousands of stranded passengers because 18 hours ago a plane had crash-landed at the tarmac causing flight cancellations. Obviously Emirates was poorly prepared for handling this this emergency. Many of the passengers, including myself, ended up standing at the customer service counters (there were about 10 customer service stations all over the airport), and every customer station had about 500 irate passengers and 3 or 4 agents handling them. Not only that, the customers were standing in stuffy atmosphere, no fod no water for hours, many mothers were desperate with children. Emirates had no idea how to handle this situation. I caught hold of a senior police official and told him that the least he could do was to give the customers some bottled water to keep them hydrated. Within minutes, in typical Arab hospitality - many cases of bottled water showed up, followed by cupcakes and then Mango Frootis. This helped to calm the passengers down. Then there was the chaos of everyone crowding the service desk. No lines, no semblance of order. After discussion with the policeman, we installed barriers for that passengers would stand single file. One thing that was very wrong and out of our control was there were only 3, sometimes 4, persons behind the desk, attending to more than 500 stranded passengers at each station. I reckon we would need at least 20 or 30 staff at each station. I noted that at each customer depot there were at least 10 computer stations at our service station, but only 3 were manned. Also, there was no one to advise the passengers on their status, what arrangements were being made, what the status update of the situation was...... nothing. We just stood in a bunch at the customer service desk and hoped for some attention. Appalling. Emirates needs to beef up their crisis management strategies. As a Crisis Manager myself, I was appalled to see how poor their capability to respond to a crisis situation was. I have many ideas based on my experience in crisis management. If you want suggestions call me. Besides this crisis, Emirates has always been a very good airline to me. Their everyday service is impeccable and a treat to experience. Excellent service. departed on time, and arrived ahead of schedule. The whole restrictions around no food/drink is a bit weird even with Covid. Also, no mobiles and iPad use during takeoff and landing is very 2006!

Plussat: "It was drizzling, as is often the case in the monsoon season. There were so many clouds and I didn't expect Himalaya mountains. However, I was surprised to find majestic Mt. Everest! It was a great farewell gift from Nepal! After being impressed with Himalaya, I could enjoy movies during the flight."

Miinukset: "We were delayed over an hour on our flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. There were no headphones for in-flight entertainment, so you could see it but not hear anything!"

Miinukset: "When the passenger in the seat in front of me reclined her seat it was almost impossible to keep watching the movie which while sar, shows as mainly a black screen and even changing the angle didn't assist"
Miinukset: "30 minutes out of Bangkok, there was a problem with the plane and we returned to the airport for repair. I absolutely value the priority on safety, but the 4 hour addition to my already long trip was painful."

Plussat: "I bought a ticket on Thai Airways because it was the cheapest I could find other than AirAsia, I used to fly AirAsia but they now charge for almost everything. Next AirAsia will be charging an air breathing fee. I think your stewards and stewardesses are good! I like your logo and colors. I like that you fly out of Suvannaphum Airport,"
Miinukset: "I am truly shocked that on an Asian flight, with so many excellent Asian dishes, they served starchy, fatty, buttery, oil soaked croissant covered hot dogs and a greasy, gut buster cheese and mushroom I don't know what. Are you trying to give your future clients heart disease? To top it off, in a country blessed with excellent fresh fruit, you topped it off with another oily, starchy desert. Thank God you had water! Bangkok Air has a lounge for economy passengers, but not Thai Airways. Why not?"
