  • Alicanten vilkkainta matkailukautta on kesä. Tällöin kaupunki täyttyy rantalomailijoista ja lentolippujen hinnat voivat olla hieman normaalia korkeammat. Välimeren auringosta ja Alicanten kilometrin mittaisesta hiekkarannasta voi kuitenkin nauttia pitkälle syksyyn. Myös talvi ja kevät ovat oivia aikoja lentää Alicanteen. Tällöin Alicanten lentojen off season -hinnat tekevät budjettilomailusta helppoa. Säät talvella saattavat olla ajoittain sateiset, mutta myös pilvettömiä ja lämpimiä päiviä riittää.
  • Alicanten lentosi saapuu Alicante-Elchen lentokentälle (Aeropuerto de Alicante-Elche), joka on noin 9 kilometrin päässä Alicanten keskustasta. Lentokenttä sijaitsee Elchen kaupungissa ja se palvelee koko Costa Blancan ranta-aluetta sekä myös Valencian ja Murcian alueita. Lentoasemalla on käytössä vain yksi terminaali, joten suunnistaminen kentällä on helppoa.
  • Paikallisbusseilla on helppoa ja nopeaa matkustaa lentokentältä Alicanten keskustaan. Bussilinja C9 kulkee Alicanteen päivisin noin 20 minuutin välein ja öisin tunnin välein. Bussi pysähtyy Lucerosin ja Mercadon juna- ja raitiovaunuasemilla. Bussimatkan hinta C9-linjalla on noin 3,86 €. Bussilipun voi ostaa kuljettajalta. Jos majoitut Elchessä, bussilinjat 1A ja 1B vievät Elchen hotelleihin. Bussit kulkevat tunnin välein, ja lipun hinta on noin 1,45 €. Myös muihin alueen suosittuihin lomakohteisiin, kuten Calpeen, Murciaan ja Torreviejaan, on lentoasemalta bussiyhteys, mutta matkat ovat pidempiä.   • Taksimatka lentokentältä Alicanten keskustaan kestää noin 20 minuuttia. Taksin kiinteä matkahinta lentokentältä Alicanteen on noin 19 € päiväsaikaan, mutta taksa nousee öisin, viikonloppuisin ja juhlapyhinä. Miinukset: "The Frankfurt airport is an embarrassment to Germany. Taking buses to your plane, going up and down stairs to depart or board a plane is archaic. Therefore most Lufthansa flights in and out of this main hub are delayed. There should be some rule that meals will not be served to customers who have their seat reclined. The poor person behind them has no comfortable way to eat."

Miinukset: "The connecting flight to Bremen from Munich was missed due to delayed flying from Munich. Then we had a reconnecting flight and 15 minutes prior to boarding it was cancelled. No more flights to Bremen so we then were redirected to a flight to Hamburg. We had to fly from Munich to Vienna and then from Vienna to Hamburg. The flight from Munich to Vienna was delayed by 40 minutes which made us lose the connecting flight. We had to wait until the next morning for a flight to Hamburg, where as we arrived our luggage was lost. The staff ensured us that our connecting flights were waiting for us, however the flights had left 20 minutes prior to our arrival. The staff was nice but the communication was poor."

Plussat: "Friendly flight attendants, good wine, good entertainment (which I actually don't watch), beautiful airplane, A 340, especially the downstairs restrooms."

Miinukset: "Our flight from Tel Aviv on Lufthansa was 20 minutes late. We only had 40 minutes for our connection in Frankfort but made it to the gate 5 minutes early. The gate was closed 10 minutes early and they would not let us on. There were 17 of us, 10 of which were children. They would not let us on BUT we’re able to spend 30 extra minutes at the gate, not on the tarmac, to remove all of our luggge off the plane. It would of taken them less than 10 minutes to let us in the flight. I don’t even know what to say about the complete lack of any competence."

Plussat: "The plane was nearly empty, so there was a lot of space to spread out. The entertainment options were almost limitless and the food was plentiful and tasty."
Miinukset: "Since it was an overnight flight, I planned on sleeping, however, it seemed the flight attendants were coming through all the time. While I appreciated dinner and breakfast, it really wasn't necessary for that time of day and the length of flight. I also tried to upgrade and even though the premium economy clear was almost empty, they did not accept my bid. I would have understood if the flight was full but it wasn't. I'm not sure why they wouldn't want the extra money from me?"

They weren't particularly large people, just average men but their arms were in my space all the time. Also if I drop something, I cannot pick it up, there's no room. For transatlantic flights the seats should be bigger."

Plussat: "This was one of the most aggravating flights. I had a connection. Both flights were delayed and i had to run through the enormous frankfurt with my carry on cat. When i got to the next flight it was delayed 30mins and there were little updates. When i arrived in oslo i was late and so missed my connecting train. I had to wait 6 hours in the station for the next train. An exhausting and frustrating experience. There was one helpful steward on the lax frankfurt flight but the rest of the staff was not helpful."

Miinukset: "My seat was unable to recline. Boarding was a bit chaotic, and the constant shuttling around Frankfurt airport is just ridiculous. (Not that the airline can do anything about it)."

I had checked this information on KLM.com and saw the same, that you have WiFi. This was the reason, why a chose KLM! Then I tried to connected on board but I couldn’t! WiFi was not available. Crew told me that they don’t know anything about it! I was disappointed and angry."

Miinukset: "The seat I had with no seats in front of me was very small. Much smaller than the other economy seats because the tray table and video screen were in the armrests. Paid extra for the legroom by ended up losing it side to side. Really had to squeeze into the seat."

Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Miinukset: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

Plussat: "Need better quality tvs for such a long flight and better movies There were only 4 Bollywood movies and not the latest ones either"

Plussat: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Miinukset: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

Miinukset: "Delay can occur sometimes but it wiuld be better to be explained its reason and the estimated time for boarding. The customer service at CDG airport was the worst ever and all people standing boarding desk were useless without any mind what they are doing."

Miinukset: "After more than two hours of delay... Initially the flight takes off was at 8:35... Then 21:20... Then 21:50... Then 22:10. Finally we took off at 22:40... Refund our money klm..."

Plussat: "The flight crew was nice. Plane departed/arrived on time."
Miinukset: "I paid €60 extra to sit in the emergency door seat to get more leg room but once.i was in the plane learned for more leg room I accepted a smaller seat next to a bathroom and no entertainment. I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Miinukset: "Pet was left behind at vacation destination as pet's reservation (made and confirmed through KLM) was not found at check in. Waiting for Customer Care to help get pet home and take responsibility for situation and getting no response. Very dissapointed, considering law suit."

Plussat: "Comfortable flight to Amsterdam for vacation in UK. More meals than expected. Also wasn't expecting some of the comforts offered to "regular" class seats like eye masks, ear plugs, pillows and blankets. It was an overnight flight, so maybe that should have been expected, but I don't think we had those 4 years ago when traveling overseas."

Plussat: "I have no complaints about the air crew. They where pleasant and attentive. Plenty of free entertainment. The food was good."
Miinukset: "my only complaint is the USB ports didn't work on any of the chairs that me and my family where assigned to."

Miinukset: "I didn't go on this flight, unable to leave Seoul (to Beijing) with China Southern."

Miinukset: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

I was standing in front of the counter with a simple Question but had to wait 5 minutes before the two agents got done with their own personal chat and thought about attending to me."

Plussat: "New, clean airplane with a friendly and professional crew. It was not as uncomfortable as some of the other airlines I've used, though eight hours in economy is still too much. I chose it in part because of the connection through Copenhagen, which I recommend for an overnight stay. Great city."

It was only a 9.5 hour flight but I expected better from SAS."

Upon arrival in EWR, I received an email from this site saying my SAS flight "may be canceled". I immediately headed to the terminal where SAS was and went into the lounge to speak to an agent. The women I spoke to could not have been more rude. She told me my flight was canceled and that she did not have access to any details because that was United's responsibility. I told her that could not be the case because my flight was on SAS so if they canceled the flight, I would like to understand what my options are given that I had a tight window upon arrival into my final destination into Dubrovnik so I could not be too late in landing outside of my original reservation. She told me that I had to talk to United and did not even acknowledge why there was a cancellation or anything other than the SAS flight I was on was cancelled. She barely even helped me to understand where my luggage was which I was very concerned would be lost given the issue with the flight cancellation. As a result of all of this, it turns out I was put onto a United flight that now had MORE connections. I had to now go to Frankfurt to Vienna to Dubrovnik, all with really tight connections AND now I no longer was on the same flight as my friend who I was traveling with. SAS did not help with any of this or care to assist in ANY way. They told me it was out of their hands and I had to talk to United. AWFUL service when SAS had cancelled the flight! I had no choice but to take the re-routed flights. I ended up running to my gates and barely catching all of my connections which made for a very stressful travel experience to start my long awaited vacation. After paying the high cost I did for my flight, I am extremely frustrated with my experience as I ended up having more connections, tight connections, awful customer service and a really stressful trip. This is NOT would I would expect for how much I paid and out of the quality of an airline. I would like to receive some type of compensation for the extreme inconvenience of landing 3+ hours after my original arrival time, being broken up with my friend who I was traveling with, not being given any options for my travel, terrible customer service assistance, and no acknowledgement from SAS to help me in any way."

Plussat: "Everyone I interacted with from SAS was very nice and very polite. Smooth, short flight. Bags came down pretty quickly. The coffee on the plane was better than in my hotel in Edinborough!"
Miinukset: "I didn't realize that even though I am an international traveler, I had to pay for baggage for this short flight. And since I didn't realize it, I didn't purchase it online, which doubled the price at the airport :-( also, and this is not the fault of the airline, the security line is ridiculously slow because at least 50% of the passengers get shunted to a single line because the screener saw something odd."

I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising."

Miinukset: "I took this flight to have a short layer over, only 40 minutes. This was a connecting flight departed from Newark and was a connecting flight for many people coming from Thailand. I almost missed this flight due to highly backed up passport control. If SAS was running so many international flights, they should have shifted the layer over, since many people were taking connecting flights for Oslo to Manchester. No food, there should have at least been a snack or at a minimum offered water."

None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

The plane was new and very clean. Roast beef salad for breakfast was tasty if unusual."
Miinukset: "Low cost premium is rare, and some cost cutting is understandable. That said....Premium seats weren’t that comfortable. I’m not too tall (6 feet) but they didn’t support my back well. There was no music entertainment so ensure you bring your own. There is plenty of power. The film selection is the same in both directions and pretty limited. Not a problem if you are sleeping though. Note: When upgraded you don’t seem to get all your prepaid extras refunded and we couldn’t choose our seats in Premium. There is no business lounge in Austin. (There was in Gatwick). The Norwegian app never linked to my reservation automatically. Some synchronisation work required there. Unlike other premium flights the drinks service was pretty limited. I didn’t enjoy eating out of a cardboard box, but the food was tasty."

People were left standing in a a crowded room which was too small for all the passengers while no announcement was made. One we were on board, the cabin crew then made a rather abrupt and rude announcement telling the passengers to board quickly otherwise we would lose our slot time and be delayed by a further one hour. Fortunately that additional delay did not happen. However, I did not appreciate the passengers being berated for "slow" boarding when the flight was boarded 20-30 minutes late."

Plussat: "I didn’t have the issues checking in that many have mentioned. I did have pay 140€ to check my bags because it wasn’t included in my fare. My advice is prepay for baggage, it’s much cheaper."

Plussat: "Boarding was not bad, but a bit confusing"
Miinukset: "Flight attendants more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. We went hours without water. I went back to the galley to get some and no one was there, so I served myself"

Plussat: "Plane was clean and adequate seating"
Miinukset: "Plane was scheduled to leave at 8:15 and suddenly was changed and we left at 7:45. Flight attendants then forced us to check our small carry on items despite being told they were for a wedding the next day. Subsequently the bags were lost and then found four days earlier. Fortunately, we found our baggage but had to improvise for the wedding. Airport lost and found said that happens all the time with Vuelling and a baggage claim stub should just be discarded as worthless."

Plussat: "We finally got to Rome"
Miinukset: "Flight departed three hours late, apparently due to bad weather earlier in the day. No information available at the airport. Kayak told me the delayed departure time long before the airport display or information counter personnel. Long boarding - had to be bussed out on the tarmac and waited again to board inside cramped bus. At Rome, luggage took one hour to arrive on the very crowded belt. Terrible treatment."

Plussat: "All of it"

Miinukset: "First of all we were delayed an hour with no explanation or apology, the service was poor at best, and after all the trouble they managed to lose my bag as well . Two thumbs DOWN"

Miinukset: "Dely and they lost my bags"

Plussat: "Older aircraft, seats were not comfortable."

Plussat: "very nice at the checking in , and during the flight"

Miinukset: "Apparently Vueling, Iberia's cheap cousin, saves a middle seat in row 1 and charges more. A lot more! I was pressured in Helsinki into letting Swissair, the contracted boarding agent it seems, fill that seat, 1/2 of which is what you get for paying 'business' in a plane that has all economy seating. There was no logic or ability to board before economy and indeed my boarding pass stated economy. The woman that was added to the oversold seat got intoxicated and was half in my seat. I will never fly this again and it's not worth the stress to fight for some refund but I was taken advantage of with charging me a 300+ euro seat for this joke of a flight in a "better" level of service."

Plussat: "On time, no charge for checked bag, easy & pleasant."

Miinukset: "Good"

Miinukset: "Luggage fee 35€! For first bag! Not included in ticket price was quite deceiving."

Plussat: "the plane was 90 minutes late fast smooth flight"
