Frankfurtin lentojen keskimääräiset hinnat ovat melko tasaiset vuoden ympäri, mutta lentomatkustajalle on silti tarjolla lentolippuja eri hintaluokissa. Lennon hintaan vaikuttaa valittu lentoreitti, lipputyyppi ja lentoajankohta. Lentojen hintavertailu onnistuu helposti KAYAKin lentohaussa, jossa voit määritellä etsimillesi lennoille maksimihinnan. Voit halutessasi myös etsiä lentoja vain tietyiltä lentoyhtiöiltä. Mikäli lentoaikataulusi ei ole tiukka, vertaa hintoja eri viikonpäivinä ja vuorokaudenaikoina. Budjettimatkailijat suosivat usein halpalentoyhtiöitä, mutta lennon hintaan kannattaa laskea myös matkatavaroista syntyvät lisäkustannukset. Halpalentojen hintaan ei välttämättä sisälly yhtään ruumaan laitettavaa matkatavaraa. Pitkän viikonlopun Frankfurtissa viettävä voi toki reissata kaupunkiin edullisesti pelkän käsimatkatavaran kera.
Frankfurtin lennon kesto riippuu valitusta lentoreitistä, mutta suorien lentojen kesto on alkaen noin 2 tuntia ja 30 minuuttia. Jos valitset välilaskulliset lennot yhden vaihtokentän kautta, lentoaika venyy yleensä noin neljään tuntiin.
Helsinki-Vantaan lentokentältä Frankfurtiin liikennöivät suorin lennoin suomalainen Finnair ja saksalainen Lufthansa. Suorat lentoyhteydet saksalaiskaupunkiin ovat hyvät, sillä esimerkiksi Finnair lentää kaupunkiin parhaimmillaan kaksi kertaa päivässä.
Suoria lentoja liikennöivät Finnair ja Lufthansa. Yhden vaihtokentän kautta voit matkata Frankfurtiin esimerkiksi alankomaalaisen KLM:n, skandinaavisen SAS:n ja latvialaisen low cost -lentoyhtiö airBalticin lennoilla. Hintaerot perinteisten ja halpalentoyhtiöiden lentojen välillä ovat usein varsin pieniä, eli vertaile lentoja ja niiden palveluja tarkkaan. Jos joudut maksamaan matkatavaroista lisämaksuja, nousee lennon kokonaishinta selvästi.
Frankfurtin alueen tärkein lentokenttä on 12 kilometrin päässä keskustasta sijaitseva Frankfurtin lentokenttä (Flughafen Frankfurt am Main). Lähes kaikki kansainväliset lennot laskeutuvat tälle kentälle, joka on Saksan suurin lentoasema. Se kuuluu koko Euroopan vilkkaimpiin lentokenttiin. Lentokentällä on kaksi pääterminaalia, joista suomalainen Finnair käyttää terminaalia 2. Terminaalit on siis jaoteltu lentoyhtiöiden, ei lentokohteiden mukaan. Jotkut halpalentoyhtiöt liikennöivät noin 120 kilometrin päässä Madridista sijaitsevalle Frankfurt Hahnin lentokentälle (Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn).

The entertainment systems kept shutting off in the beginning of the flight, and my screen was slightly unresponsive to touch. The staff in Turkey was rude and unhelpful and most didn’t understand English properly. There were a number of others having the same issues, it was an awful experience."

SO IN THE END THEY GAVE US A BULLSHIT STORY SO THEY CAN GET RID OF US AND HAVE US RUN AROUND WHERE IN THE END WE GAVE UP AND SLEPT IN THE AIRPORT TILL WE GOT HOME. THIS IS WHEN I WAS COMING BACK WITH TURKISH AIRLINES. GOING TO MY PLACE OF DESTINATION THE FLIGHT WAS LATE 4 HOURS AND LUCKILY FOR US WE HAD A LONG LAYOVER THAT WE DIDNT MISS MY FLIGHT GOING TO MY PLACE OF DESTINATION. Plussat: "If you are flying Turkish from the US or from Istanbul to the US or other far away destination, for the love of God, do not fly on the B777-300. Did that twice from Chicago to Istanbul and back, and the seats in economy are a real killer....very tight and uncomfortable. On the other hand, if you have a choice of Turkish aircrafts b777 vs AB330-300, you will do yourself a favor by selecting a flight on an AB330-300. Slighter smaller plane then the 777 but a little more comfortable in coach. So you are warned......and by the way, you will select a two seater combination rather than being stuck in the middle.....If you are stuck in the middle, always do your best to get at least an isle seat."

They have lovely serving crew so no one actually hesitates to ask or want something. They have helped me and my two toddlers along with 3 other similar families of an incredible amount to make sure they are all comfortable. No wonder that received the best airline of europe award for several years in a row...There was only a 20 minutes delay during take-off and we still arrived home a bit early... Very smooth flight, one that I still cant believe I had with my 2 toddlers. Strongly recommended."

She addressed me and others in a curt and arguably rude tone of voice and mannerisms. No further instruction was given for the gate check process, hence I rolled the small suitcase to the entry of the aircraft, where the Purser asked why I would wish to check the bag. When I recounted the story, he chuckled and said, bring it aboard, there is no reason to check that bag."

Miinukset: "The flight was delayed (again!) for some 40 minutes and I was worried that I would miss my connection flight in Atlanata. Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

Miinukset: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Plussat: "Very efficient boarding, fast and professional but warm and friendly. The plane was very clean and quite spacious for a two by two configuration. On time departure and landing and smoothed processing at the other end."

Miinukset: "The "new" seats were hard and uncomfortable. Avoid any kinds of seats near the bathroom in a configuration with 3 abreast next to the windows. The "aisle" seat is essentially a "waiting area" for the rest room."

When we arrived to the plane, they had both entrances open so that those sitting near the rear of the plane would enter from the back. Plane was a little chilly, but I have come to expect that one most flights."

Miinukset: "Both ways up and down I struggled with over-head luggage space. We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!"
Miinukset: "Finnair are hellbent on trying to sell goods and continuously interrupt the movies with their confounded announcements every 15 minutes very annoying. If i wanted to buy something its in their mag and as a regional flight it should include some form of nourishment other than juice or coffee one off, tight fisted and not a descent selection of food either"
Plussat: "Both crews from JFK to HEL and HEL to JFK were great. Very attentive and accommodating."

Miinukset: "The TVs were really old - my husband’s broke and mine couldn’t actually play movies due to it not registering fingerprints. The pocket in front of me was also ripped open spilling those annoying in flights magazines and the airplane smelled like the lavatory which was 6 rows up... just broken down and not well maintained. It was only a 9.5 hour flight but I expected better from SAS."

A notification about the possibilities for seat purchases would have been great!"
Plussat: "Great legroom for premium seats. Even though not an emergency exit, bags need to go up, which doesn’t make sense at all."

Miinukset: "In a wheelchair. Check in was terrible and rude. The fact that SAS did not allow us to bring my electric chair directly to the gate was absurd (only airline in the world that did that). The fact that it was not at the gate when we arrived in Newark surprised even the SAS Gate agents. Had to go to baggage and collect it in oversize baggage. Will not fly SAS again until that policy has changed."

No customer service at all. 1st attendant wouldn’t let us check-in at the counter, and 2nd attendant made us check in our carry-on despite it only being 2kg over. We could’ve moved some items around. When we boarded the plane, we saw multiple people whose carry-on looked suspiciously over the weight limit. We felt singled out. It was obvious that this airline only cares about profit and does not care about the customer. Attendants were rude and not helpful. Needless to say I will nit fly with this airline again."

But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."
Miinukset: "Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Miinukset: "It was a little upsetting to see and hear one of the crew members be a little nasty with my sister when he asked her about the meal. She misunderstood and asked for chicken andvhe was quite nasty when he corrected her and gave her the two options."
Miinukset: "When we booked there was no mention of paying for the checked in luggage. When we showed up at the airport we were told to pay the inflated $75 for each bag. It was ironic since it was 6am flight and the plane was half empty. It left a bad taste for us and we are not sure if it was kayak fault or sas."
Plussat: "That the person with whom I would have shared seats, found one with their party - had all the space...by chance ! The people at the counters are nice."
Miinukset: "1) I had an empty bottle and asked for water for multiple medications (as I had sprained my foot) thinking the stewardess had a jug of water. She opened a bottle and poured a fifth . I said I had to take many pills (antiinflamatory are three) plus iron and probiotics I take. She told me, holding the used bottle mostly full, that if I wanted more , I should buy a bottle !!!! And put it away !!! How insensitive and inhuman !!! I didn't know she was going to open a bottle !!!! Very insulting !! 2) When another stewardess passed by offering food, I asked what did we have a right to and she (only then) offered me tea or coffee (which should have been offered first). They I asked, as in all other flights (short South American flights and USA donestic) if she gave crackers or nuts to which she unnecessarily gloated pointing to the curtain that there , in economic plus , they had everything free ...insulting treatment and unnecessary information ...just like in my trip to Nice !! Same attitude ...it's probably horrible training courses. 3) you'd think the men and women that speak over the loud speaker would have bothered to learn English ...it was broken English and even sounded like babble to me...so I just ignored it ! 3) again no instructions for transfer as you come out of the plane. Had to figure it out asking cleaners ..as my flight was at night again. People below seem to coincide in that they complain of rudeness and lack of re-direction."

I was advised that a change was possible, but that with penalties and taxes, it would amount to MORE than the price of the ticket. Hell of a way to run a railroad!....speaking of railroads, that gives me an idea for when we reschedule!!"

Miinukset: "Cabin light was only slightly dimmed during the 8 hrs flight. Then instead of gradually brighten the light. They just flip the switch to full blast. I think they are trying to sell you more duty free than letting their customers rest. Not ok!"
Miinukset: "Crew was rude. Had to ask 3 times for a drink before I actually got it and they snarled at me about having to pay. I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."

Plussat: "They had a kiosk, which was nice. In the US (Dulles) on my way out, I had no way to print a picket without waiting in line. I don't have a printer at home and the mobile ticket system was not working, so I had to wait in a very long line despite the fact that I had no luggage just to get my ticket. Every other airline had a Kiosk. In Gdansk, I was glad to see that they had a kiosk."
Miinukset: "Although I could print my the ticket for the first leg at the kiosk, I could not print the second. I asked the woman at the desk, and she could not print either. I had to fly to the connecting airport with no connecting ticket in hand."

The selection of movies was adequate but smaller than I'm used to. There wasn't much in the way of music to choose from. Only one choice for jazz and classical."
