The cabin crew was friendly. But boarding takes forever and the flight gad long delays on both inbound and outbound flight

Miinukset: "I asked for an upgrade as we are on our honeymoon. The ground staff only wanted to get us on the plane and not try in anyway to recognize us. Our seats were very poor quality, you should immediately replace them! I would have rather stood than sit on the flight. The in flight entertainment is so poor. Absolutely disappointing especially with the head sets not working because of poor ports of connection. The food was absolutely tragic. You should fire your catering company. I expect more from your airline and I was disappointed all the way through. I hope you can provide my wife and I better service and an upgrade when we fly back to Washington DC on Flight AF 0054 from CDG to IAD. I work in the luxury hotel sector, and even the door men and room attendants have more autonomy to wow our guests. Flying AF does not want me to spend any more money with your airline in the future."

And to add injury to insult her bag was left behind in JFK during our transfer for our flight to Seattle. No big deal right, Delta will deliver the bag to our house the next day, wrong, we were told we have to go to the airport ourselves to get the bag."

When I was going to return , they made me payed 120 dollars ( in Kiev , Ukraine (UIA) , I was very disappointed and I really will love an explanation about all this !"

At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Miinukset: "The airlines didn’t even notify the passengers with the connecting flight. As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Ask for payment for baggage, does something with my credit card- then tells me I need to go to another desk to pay. So inefficient. To top it off, the plane sat on the tarmac for 40 minutes and we just about missed our connection. Dirty plane too, gum stains on carpet and dirty seats. Will not fly with these clowns again."

It took forever to get bags in Riga. In the empty flight the way they were seating people was crazy. I'm lifetime gold with American Airlines so I do fair share flying and can tell you it's not a good Airline."

Miinukset: "The plane we were supposed to be on from Riga to Helisinki had mechanical problems so they switched our plane. We had an hour delay do to that. Then when we got to Helsinki our luggage never made it."
Miinukset: "The passage through Riga airport was terrifying. We arrived from St. Petersburg 6.35 and we left 7.20 to Paris (passengers in transit). We explained at the checkpoint that we had a few minutes, but they controlled us several times until we had to throw several liquid items. In St. Petersburg they had already controlled us, without problems. In short: a sad experience in Riga, which does not speak well of this country: Latvia."

The only solution that they can offer me was to travel from Riga to Moscow and than to Tel Aviv. It become 12 hours traveling across 4 countries ( we arrived form Stockholm) instead of 5 hours flight as it was supposed to! I'm not recommending to travel with that company it can not be trusted!"

Miinukset: "We had to pay for 3 pieces of luggage, including my hand luggage. It came to about $150 dollars. When i booked the flight, it did not indicate anything about this extra change so be ware of this. The flight itself was quite inexpensive."

Miinukset: "For people who have Airbaltic as a connecting flight this might be very inconvenient. We paid 40 Eur/person each way for our luggage . That brings the price that you pay so much higher than you expect at first. Also if you don't print boarding pass ahead of time which we didn't (plus still needed to drop off checked luggage and check our passports) they want to charge you 30 Eur a person to print that drinking piece of paper. If you don't want to pay that get out of the line with all of you luggage, go to kiosk and print it, then come back to the line. But that's companies rules , employees just have to follow it. Another problem was their attitude. The guy who got our luggage was so weird. Showing off and talking to us like a boss. After giving us boarding passes he said we can go to the screen and look up the gate ourselves. I never write long reviews but man! they got me mad that day. Never say never - but I don't want to fly with this airline again"

Plussat: "Ryan Air 5.5 hrs Flight Delay from Glasgow, Scotland to Dublin, Ireland (Draft 2.1) Our flight from Glasgow, Scotland to Dublin Ireland on September 22nd with Ryan Air was delayed for 5.5 hrs (165 minutes) for unexplained reasons. We were supposed to depart at 3:25 pm and we actually departed at 8:55 pm when the plane actually began to move from the terminal to the runway. Over the ensuring 5.5 hr. delay there was no plausible reason given by gate staff or the bag check-in staff or the electronic flight board of daily departures in the Glasgow airport. Here is what we heard from all 3 communication sources stated in the previous sentence: • Seven (7) actual time delays of actual flight departure times (electronic flight board) ranging from: 3:25 pm, 4;30 pm; to be scheduled; moved to 5:15 pm; 6:30 pm; 8:00 pm; 9:00 pm; check with the gate. • Waiting for a plane to arrive......... • We have no idea...... • Waiting for a plane and a crew to arrive.... • Corporate is working on finding an available plane...... • I don't know....we will post the details when they are known to us..... The Scottish Times Newspaper (Sept. 21 or 22), reported that Ryan Air had allowed too many pilots to go on vacation at the same time which had made the entire flight schedule prone to long flight delays and numerous flight cancellations. What was reported on the various UK news shows was very different. Their were serious labor issues between Ryan Air's pilots and management, particularly Dennis O'Leary the CEO, over work conditions including pay and job performance. Those of us who read local UK newspapers had an inkling that the pot was boiling. However, as the actual departure delay went beyond the scheduled 3:23 pm, passengers were uneasy about our hotel rooms in our destination cities still being held and whether any drop-off family members should go home or be available if the flight was ultimately cancelled. What made it worse was Ryan Air realized that they were in violation of the European Union flight delay rule so they passed out FLIGHT DELAY POLICY to those waiting in line. The gate crew and the check-in folks outside security told us about having to provide all passengers two (2) free phone calls except that this would mean leaving security at the expected gate and going back to the Ryan Air check-in counter and back through security. A very arduous process one more time. Ryan Air has very arcane booking rules so if I change my checked baggage to a larger size, my only option was to add an additional piece of luggage at a very stiff cost. In our opinion, Ryan Air is a very poorly managed airline and the most customer-combative airline we have ever encountered in our many flights throughout the UK and Europe. Without hesitation, we would not recommend Ryan Air under any circumstances and would be willing to pay more with other carriers who take better care of their customers. Plussat: "The flight left on time and arrived early. I like being able to board and leave from the rear entrance when seats are in the back of the plane."
Miinukset: "Paying extra for seats."
Plussat: "Nothing"
Miinukset: "Ryanair boarded the plane only for us to be stuck inside a dirty stinky tunnel with no plane at the end of it. Crying children, moaning kids, no air conditioning, for about 1.5 hours. Ryanair as a company KNEW they'd be delayed, yet they board us into a disgusting tunnel to sit on the floor with no toilets no water nothing. We then board but at this point I was deathly ill and Ryanair didn't take care of us at all with any free refreshments like they should have for being late. Disgusting service. Won't be flying with them ever again this happens way too often."
Plussat: "Flight was on time. People were friendly. Plane was clean."
Miinukset: "They send repeated emails pushing you to upgrade your seat or to pay for your carry-ons. They try to scare you into spending more money. I received several emails stating I would have to pay higher fees to check my carry-on at the gate. I opted not to pay as they insisted so I was worried the entire trip. Was not charged at the gate as the emails started. They have good prices on Sears but try to make it up in fees."
Plussat: "I really appreciated receiving one on one attention to check in on my health status as well as some sparkling water to settle my stomach, and having a bag for nausea. They were incredibly adept at dealing with a potentially sick passenger, and got me a wheelchair to depart the plane."
Miinukset: "The seats are extremely uncomfortable."
Plussat: "I found the bright yellow advertising obnoxious. I didn't like the hard core sell of products on board. There were a ton of kids on board and it was loud but that can't be helped."
Miinukset: "Boarding was stressful, took a long time and people started pushing in line as they were worried the would miss flight. There were no staff stopping this so people that pushed in boarded first which was frustrating"
Plussat: "Flight went to plan, no problems boarding and on time."
Miinukset: "All good."
Plussat: "The flight was on time and the crew members were courteous. The landing was alright and we got where we needed to go. I don't mind checking in online as well. It saves the hassle of standing on long lines to get on the plane."
Miinukset: "The airplane was small so I naturally expected the flight to be cramped to a certain level. It was indeed cramped but not all that bad. However, it was considerably warm inside the plane as if the AC was having issues. The other funny thing was the crew members selling items like it was Walmart. Everything from fragrance to selfie sticks to tablets were being sold on the flight, which was kind of annoying."
Plussat: "Crew is very friendly"
Miinukset: "Ryanair forces you to book seats in order to sit together."
Miinukset: "Four hours late leaving Stansted because Ryanair ground crew were under staffed"
Plussat: "Quick to unload."
Miinukset: "In flight costs"
Plussat: "Flight sat on the tarmac for two hours before taking off, which turned a 4 hour flight into a 6 hour ordeal with no food or water. A free cup of coffee or bottle of water would have been a nice effort from Ryanair to make up for how far behind schedule they were running. Then the staff spent the entire flight flogging merchandise - drinks, terrible food (even by airline standards), even lottery tickets! Real airlines like Lufthansa and KLM only seem marginally more expensive for travel in Europe, and make air travel infinitely more enjoyable."
Plussat: "Boarding for small lower priced airline went well on return from Santori i to Athens. Seats comfortable . My daughter travelled with me also. To check bsg in waz little expensive over 25 Euro. First flight 2 days prior when we flew from Athens to Santorini was almost a heart attack. I did not know that once you check in that you cannot view boarding pass and tried at vomputer diwnstairs and people at desk upstairs at Athens airport says common with Ryanair."
Miinukset: "I woukd like you to mention to encorage people to print out boarding passes the same time you check on on your email. Otherwise 2 hrs prior yo boarding everything locks up on you and we had to go to 2 lines to write up reservation flight info and then stand in another line to psy for the cost of printong out boarding pass which was over 30 Euro for 2 people."
Plussat: "Price"
Miinukset: "Chairs don't recline"
Miinukset: "Charged us 50 euro per person to check in at the airport. We thought we had checked in online. We clicked on checkin and went through a whole process to pay for a checked bag and to pay for picked seats. Despite that we were still somehow not checked in. They also tried to charge us for a checked bag. At first they could find record of our payment for a checked bag. This all smells like a scam or maybe just shady practice to charge as many fees as possible. Charged for water on the plane, 3 euro."
Miinukset: "Delayed for boarding the aircraft"
Miinukset: "The flight was delayed 3 hours. We stood at the gate in line for half an hour before we were taken back i side the airport. There was no announcement that we are reboarding"
Plussat: "I liked absolutely nothing."
Miinukset: "I showed up to the airport (Stansted) RIGHT on time to make the flight, but ran into several issues: 1. I was flying with an american passport, and the line to have my boarding pass 'stamped' to verify the passport was insanely long. 2. Missed the flight due to long commute within the Stansted terminal 3. Made it to the flight 25 min before takeoff, but was too late, so missed the flight. Had to wait in the terminal for 20 minutes for someone to come pick us up and drive us out of the terminal. 4. Ryanair customer service simply instructed me to rebook my flight online. They were not of any help. 5. I had a tight connection in Milan to the bus that would take me to the city, which i almost missed because my carryon bag had to be checked in. 6. Boarding was absolutely hectic, I was almost put on a flight to Greece instead of Milan. Stay away from Ryanair if you can."
Miinukset: "This was my first Ryan Air flight. It was nearly two hours late to take off - while said the pilot was informative, we were treated like cattle. We were made to wait on the tarmac in the freezing cold sleet, where my shoes became soaked in puddles and I was unable to get warm for several hours after. It felt disorganized and amateur."
Plussat: "Nice crew"
Miinukset: "1 and a quarter hours and 4 attempts to land on Bari airport. Information very poor. Capitain said due to air traffic issues (on Bari!?). Looked like we were having problems with the landing gear. Happy we made it."
Plussat: "The crew knew no better. But everything from check in to boarding was miscommunicated, chaotic, nickel and dining and overall aggravating to say the least. I will never fly this airline again."
Miinukset: "Please See above. Non disclosed extra fees. Zero sense of customer care or hospitality. Stressed crew. A sense of chaos that does not make one feel safe nor secure when flying."
Plussat: "Crew was fine"
Miinukset: "Boarding was like a cattle call--corralled into a small hot space, standing because there was no seating and waiting for over 1/2 hour to board. Seats were cramped. There was no food--unless you are accustomed to paying over $10 for an unhealthy snack. To call the safety card affixed to the back of the seat in front of me "entertainment" is a joke. You will not need to worry about my ever flying your airline again."
